Selective Chutzpah

Although these articles are getting written and published at a slower pace than in the past, I am trying to trying to catch up with topics that have been on my “to do” list for a few weeks now prior to attempting to write some new reflections for Holy Week.

It is thus that I have been able at last to write about the “selective chutzpah” of Congressional Republicans by abdicating a genuine, principled opposition to the reigning caesar’s unconstitutional edicts and acts while seeking to “stand up” to him when it comes to support for the murderous policies of the Zionist State of Israel, “chutzpah” that was demonstrated when House Speaker John Boeher (R-West Chester, Ohio), invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak to a joint session of Congress on March 3, 2015. This commentary is not for the faint of heart, especially if one is possessed of the Zionist spirit that is evangelized constantly by “conservative” babblers on talk radio and throughout the “conservative” blogosphere.

Saint Joseph, Our Friend and Protector

(An original article on "religious liberty" appears below.)

Today, of course, is the great Feast of Saint Joseph, the Chaste Spouse of Our Lady, the just and silent man of the House of David.

Saint Joseph denied himself his biological fatherhood in order to serve as the ever-virginal spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the most loving foster-father to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In him, Saint Joseph, is to be found every virtue for a husband and father to imitate: patience, charity, forbearance in all difficulties, fortitude, perseverance, temperance, and total self-abnegation. Those of us who are husbands and fathers must learn to be more silent, to learn to be more loving, to learn to be more patient, to learn to be more meek, to learn to be ever-ready to worker harder and harder at our life's work so as to help our wives and our children to live as redeemed creatures here below in order to know eternal happiness hereafter.

Saint Joseph is the model of home life and the patron of artisans, the protector of widows and orphans, the patron of those who are in danger of death. May we invoke his patronage each day after we invoke that of his Most Chaste Spouse, Our Lady, and never be slow to turn to him in our spiritual and temporal needs:

"O Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O thou Saint Joseph, do assist me by thy powerful intercession, and obtain for me from thy divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers. O Saint Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee, and Jesus asleep in thy arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. Saint Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for me. Amen!"

A blessed Feast of Saint Joseph to you all!

No One Has The "Right" To Adhere To Error

The madness of celebrating Dignitatis Humanae, December 7, 1965, has only just begun, it would appear.

Philadelphia “Archbishop” Charles H. Chaput, O.F.M., Cap., gave a talk in homage of this tragically false document at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, the Feast of Saint Patrick and the Commemoration of Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Lent. This is not the feast time that “Archbishop” Chaput has done this. I suspect that it will not be the last, and it is without any malice for a man I met back in 1991 in Rapid City, South Dakota, and then chatted with briefly in Saint Peter’s Square in May of 1993 that this commentary in criticism of his defense of that which was condemned by true pope after true pope has been written.

A revised reflection on Saint Joseph will be published shortly.

March 18, 2015, Update:

There will be no new article today, March 18, 2015, the Feast of Saint Cyril of Jerusalem and the Commemoration of Wednesday in the Fourth Week of Lent. I am pacing myself a little more now after a condition that I had heretofore never known, hyponatremia, rectifies itself. (This is caused by a low level of sodium in one’s blood, a condition that I have discovered is very dangerous and perhaps was the chief culprit behind the great fatigue that I have experienced in recent years. One physician told me that the level that showed up in blood work drawn on February 26, 2015, had placed me in a category of people who could barely function, and I can verify that assessment as it was very difficult to do my writing. The doctor-mandated treatment was to salt food more heavily. That has worked to bring the sodium count up to a tick below the normal range. It has also resulted in a sharp increase in my blood pressure as the diuretic I have been taking for over two decades was discontinued.) Please bear with me as my strength returns over the course of time.

Today, March 18, 2015, is the thirty-third anniversary of the death of my mother, +Mrs. Norma Florence Red Fox Droleskey, who was the adoptive daughter of Chief Red Fox, at the then named Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she had spent her adolescent years until she joined the Women’s Army Corps in 1943 at the age of twenty-two, at the age of sixty-one years, twelve days. My mother died of stomach and esophageal cancer that had been diagnosed on Friday, January 29, 1982, just six weeks before she died. Most of that time was spent at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas. It is hard to believe that I am now over two years older than she was at the time of her death. How the time has flown. Prayers for the repose of her immortal soul would be very much appreciated. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Today is also the eighth anniversary of the death of the late +Father Daniel Johnson, who was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in 1954 and served as the pastor of Saint Mary by the Sea Church in Huntington Beach, California, form 1979 to 2004. Father Johnson was very zealous for souls. He personally walked the boundaries of the parish three times during his quarter-century pastorate, visiting (or leaving his card with an invitation to join the Catholic Church if no one was present to answer his knock) every residence and business to encourage fallen away Catholics to the return to the Faith and to invite non-Catholics to convert. Father Johnson brought five hundred fifty-four souls into the Faith, including Mohammedans, Jews, and Mormons. Sharon herself was baptized at the hands of Father Johnson on July 31, 1999, nearly twenty months before I met her on March 11, 2001 at Saint Mary by the Sea Church as I was giving the “Living in the Shadow of the Cross” lecture program. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

It was also on this date in 2008 that Mrs. Theresa Colgan, the mother of a former student of mine from Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, during the 1985-1986 academic year, died. Please pray for her immortal soul as well. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen,

There are also several birthday intentions that will be remembered in our own prayers today.

Finally, this is a reminder that No Space Between Ratzinger and Bergoglio: So Close in Apostasy, So Far From Catholic Truth is available for purchase in its original paperback edition and is now available as well as a Kindle Edition. One reader wrote on Monday, March 16, 2015, to express appreciation for the book’s organization, thoroughness, and ease of readability. Please do purchase one for your own reference purposes, making sure to get copies for your relatives and friends who are still attached to the structures in the counterfeit church of conciliarism in the mistaken belief that they are part of the Catholic Church. Thank you!

Saint Patrick and the "C" Word

Today is the feast of our glorious Saint Patrick, the Patron Saint and Apostle of the Emerald Isle, Ireland.

Welcome To Jorge's Brave New World at 1984 Mockingbird Lane

More delays were encountered early this morning when attempting to post this brief commentary on Jorge's upcoming "Jubilee Year of Mercy." It is the Lenten season of penance, however, and working on this site has become a penitential exercise almost every time I seek to post a new article. Yes, it is better this than Purgatory--or worse!--in 2015.

A brief, revised reflection on our glorious Saint Patrick will be republished shortly.

Turning The Tables On Jorge

Whew!

Efforts to save changes in this article at 1:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 13, 2015, resulted in one failure after another. The problem remained all day long until the proprietor of the company that hosts this site did after hours work to get the site functional for me once again. I do not know at this point what happened. However, I am grateful to Saint Joseph in this month of March for his assistance, without which the site would still be down.

The current article is something of a second anniversary gift to the Argentine Apostate.

There will be another new article after I recover from the process of getting this one published!

Ah, it is Lent. My sins deserve to punished. Deo gratias!

All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you. Save souls!

Advice To Shepherds, Advice To Us All

Today is the Feast of Pope Saint Gregory the Great and the Commemoration of Thursday in the Third Week of Lent, which is the Lenten Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian.

A slightly revised version of a reflection on Pope Saint Gregory the Great that was written five years ago is offered to the readership today. May we pray to the illustrious Pope Saint Gregory the Great for the restoration of a true pope on the Throne of Saint Peter.

As time is so limited, original articles are taking longer to complete. Additionally, it is very difficult to write anything truly original when Jorge Mario Bergoglio keeps saying the same revolutionary things over and over again, which is one of the reasons I took the time to produce “No Space Between Ratzinger and Bergoglio: So Close in Apostasy, So Far From Catholic Truth,” which is available on Amazon in a print-on-demand format and should be available in a Kindle format later today, Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Given the fact that the past two years of nonstop apostasy, blasphemy and sacrilege has been the subject of so much comment and analysis on this site and on others, I am going to endeavor to prepare a video presentation for the second anniversary of Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s selection as the universal public face of apostasy of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. A brief summary to accompany the video will also be prepared.

Finally, I will seek to comment on the return of the 1990s in the form of another Clinton scandal. It appears that one of the chastisements that God is sending us is to punish perpetually with an ongoing supply of Clintons, who are always above the law and never do anything wrong, at least in their own warped minds, and Bushes, who serve as the means by which Clintons get elected. After all, why after “Clinton Lite” when you can have the real thing, cover-ups and all?

Paragaon of Conciliar Orthodoxy

A very late/early hour, not what is best for me these days.

Anyhow, here is a commentary on a man who was a paragon of conciliar orthodoxy, the late Edward Michael "Cardinal" Egan.

I am sorry for the delay in completing this article.

Understood By God Alone

This article in honor of Saint John of God, whose feast is celebrated today, was written five years ago now. A lot of hard work went into its completion. I believe it to be one a piece that will give great consolation to those who have not as of yet read it.

Saint John of God was little understood during his life. It was the case that even his longtime spiritual director, Saint John of Avila, who knew him fairly well, did not understand his decisions. Saint John of God suffered from all manner of slanders and even beatings in his life. He suffered slanders even up to the point of his own death. It was enough for him to be understood by God. It should be enough for us as well, especially during this time of apostasy and betrayal when so many of us are misunderstood and castigated by relatives and friends and acquaintances as being "outside of the Church" for our refusal to make any concessions to conciliarism or its false shepherds. We should be grateful that we are as misunderstood and hated and calumniated as was Saint John of God!

The next original article on this site will be published tomorrow, Monday, March 9, 2015, the Feast of Saint Frances of Rome and the Commemoration of Monday in the Third Week of Lent.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John of God, pray for us.
