Taking A Figure of Antichrist At His Utterly Worthless Words

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Stop it, "Happy" Timothy "Cardinal-designate" Dolan, just stop it. I've got a book project that I am trying to complete. Just stop making idiotic remarks such as you trusted the word of them murderous statist named Barack Hussein Obama:

The top U.S. Catholic bishop vowed legislative and court challenges Tuesday to a compromise by President Barack Obama to his healthcare mandate that now exempts religiously affiliated institutions from paying directly for birth control for their workers, instead making insurance companies responsible.

Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan, who heads the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said in an interview with The Associated Press that he trusted Obama wasn't anti-religious and intended to make good on his pledge to work with religious groups to fine-tune the mandate.

"I want to take him at his word," Dolan said in Rome, where he will be made a cardinal Saturday. But he stressed: "I do have to say it's getting harder and harder," to believe Obama's claim to prioritize religious freedom issues given the latest controversy.

Obama sought to quell fierce election-year outrage on Friday by abandoning his stand that religiously affiliated institutions such as Catholic hospitals and universities must pay for birth control. Instead, he said insurance would step in to provide the coverage.

The administration's initial position had outraged evangelicals and Catholic bishops and emboldened many Republicans who charged that it amounted to an assault on religion by forcing religious institutions to pay for contraception, sterilization and the morning-after pill against their consciences.

The mandate also raised greater philosophical questions about which institutions would qualify as religious and could therefore be exempt.

"Does the federal government have the right to tell a religious individual or a religious entity how to define yourself?" Dolan asked. "This is what gives us greater chill."

Initially, Dolan had termed Obama's compromise as "a first step in the right direction" after hearing about it Friday morning. But later that day, Dolan's USCCB issued a statement rejecting it, saying the arrangement was unacceptable and raised "serious moral concerns."

Dolan, the archbishop of New York, said the main concern is that the so-called "choking mandates" remain. In addition many Catholic entities are self-insured. It remains unclear how they would get around the mandate to provide services that they consider morally illicit.

"Was what was intended to be a concession, and what gave us a glimmer of hope at the beginning ... really just amount to a hill of beans? And it seems as if it does," Dolan said.

He vowed to support legislation under way in Congress that would allow any employer to deny birth control coverage if it runs counter to their religious or moral beliefs. The White House on Monday termed the proposed legislation "dangerous and wrong."

Dolan said the U.S. bishops will now work hard to support passage of the new legislation. "I couldn't see why the president would have any consternation, because he said to me that religious freedom remains sacrosanct. Well, let's legislatively guarantee it," Dolan said.

Separately, he said, the bishops will back court challenges to the mandate being undertaken by others. He said he didn't think the USCCB itself, however, would sue the government over the issue.

Dolan spoke at the North American College, the U.S. seminary in Rome, where he was a student in the 1970s and served as rector starting in 1994.

On Saturday, Antipope Benedict XVI will make Dolan and 20 other bishops cardinals, the red-capped princes of the church who will elect the next pope. (Top U.S. Catholic Bishop Vows Legal Challenges to Obama's Birth Control Rule.)

It is only fitting that Timothy Dolan, the man who has been masquerading as the "archbishop" of New York since April 15, 2009., the man who said in 2010 that one could use whatever name you want to refer to God, will be made a "cardinal" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Both men have been so initially "trusting" of fellow figure of Antichrist in the person of Barack Hussein Obama. Here is an account of what transpired in the public phases of the meeting that the false "pontiff" had with Barry Soetero in the Apostolic Palace on July 10, 2009:

Pope Benedict XVI welcomed American President Barack Obama to the Vatican today, and the two discussed world issues addressed at the Group of

Eight summit.

As they met, Mr Obama told the Pope: "It's a great honor; thank you so much."

The two sat down at a desk in the papal library and began discussing the G8 summit which concluded that morning in L'Aquila, Italy. The summit focused on the economic crisis, climate change and global tensions.

Pope Benedict told the president: "You must be tired after all these discussions."

The president replied that the meetings marked "great progress" and "something concrete". The private meeting lasted more than 30 minutes.

At the end of the meeting, Pope Benedict told the president: "A blessing on all your work and also for you." (Benedict XVI meets Obama - Catholic Herald Online)

It's relatively easy for Timothy Dolan to trust the word of Barry Soetero when his "pope" has given his "blessing" on him and all his "work." What's not to trust?

Well, let's count some of the ways for the "happy-soon-to-be-non-cardinal."

How can a man who is committed to the destruction of innocent preborn human life as a matter of principle and who believes that pregnancy in and of itself places a woman in the midst of an "agonizing" choice be an instrument of pursing the common temporal good undertaken with respect to man's Last End? He cannot. It is that simple. No one who promotes grievous sin under cover of the civil law can be an instrument in the pursuit of the common temporal good. It is that simple.

Sin is what caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer once in time in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death. Sin is what caused His Most Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and through with Seven Swords of Sorrow. Sin is what wounds His Mystical Body, the Church Militant, here on earth in this passing, mortal value of tears. No one who is an agent in the promotion of grievous sin, no less sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, is a fit holder of the public weal. While such a person is an object of our prayers and while his actions must prompt us to make much reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, he is not deserving of a "blessing" from a putative "pontiff" for his "work" of evil, a "work that retards the common temporal good and places into jeopardy the sanctification and salvation of immortal souls upon which the whole of social order must be premised.

The more closely the temporal power of a nation aligns itself with the spiritual, and the more it fosters and promotes the latter, by so much the more it contributes to the conservation of the commonwealth. For it is the aim of the ecclesiastical authority by the use of spiritual means, to form good Christians in accordance with its own particular end and object; and in doing this it helps at the same time to form good citizens, and prepares them to meet their obligations as members of a civil society. This follows of necessity because in the City of God, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a good citizen and an upright man are absolutely one and the same thing. How grave therefore is the error of those who separate things so closely united, and who think that they can produce good citizens by ways and methods other than those which make for the formation of good Christians. For, let human prudence say what it likes and reason as it pleases, it is impossible to produce true temporal peace and tranquillity by things repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity. (Silvio Cardinal Antoniano, quoted by Pope Pius XI in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.)

Has something changed? Is it now possible to "produce true temporal peace and tranquility by things repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity"?

Can the word of such a man be trusted?

Supporting, promoting and funding surgical and chemical baby-killing is an important part of Barry Soetero's "work."

Can the word of such a man be trusted?

Supporting and promoting the sin of Sodom, another of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance?

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 29, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - President Barack Obama reassured homosexual advocates gathered at the White House yesterday that he was not dragging his heels on implementing their agenda, but merely patiently biding his time in order to ensure success in the long run.

Obama hosted hundreds of homosexual activists at the White House on Monday in the East Room, in order to celebrate LGBT Pride Month as well as the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots that are regarded as the inception of the homosexual rights movement.

The President specifically recognized several special guests, including New Hampshire Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson and Frank Kameny, whom the President paid special attention to, hailing him a "civil rights pioneer."

Kameny is credited with successfully lobbying the American Psychiatric Association into declassifying homosexuality as a mental disorder, and the octogenarian has recently devoted himself to promoting hard-core pornography and the acceptance of bestiality as part of what he calls "Americanism in action."

Obama stated that Kameny had been fired as an astronomer for the federal government for his homosexuality, and asserted that his public protest in 1965 was "both an act of conscience but also an act of extraordinary courage." The President then added, "And so we are proud of you, Frank, and we are grateful to you for your leadership."

The celebration has been widely perceived as an attempt to mollify the anger of homosexual groups that have accused Obama of failing to fulfill campaign promises to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) policy, which prohibits homosexuals from serving in the armed forces.

The President acknowledged that many of the homosexualist leaders in the room were unhappy with his administration's current pace of progress, but urged them instead to suspend their present discontent for promise of the coming social transformation.

"I know that many in this room don't believe that progress has come fast enough, and I understand that," Obama said. "It's not for me to tell you to be patient anymore than it was for others to counsel patience to African-Americans who were petitioning for equal rights a half-century ago."

"But I say this: We have made progress," the president continued. "And we will make more."We have made progress and we will make more. And I want you to know that I expect and hope to be judged not by words, not by promises I've made, but by the promises that my administration keeps."

"We've been in office six months now.  I suspect that by the time this administration is over, I think you guys will have pretty good feelings about the Obama administration."

The President then recommitted himself to pledges to overturn DOMA, the military ban on homosexuals serving in the military (DADT), passing the employment non-discrimination act (ENDA), new federal hate crimes legislation, and rescinding a travel ban to the United States for HIV-infected persons, which Obama called "discriminatory."

The President also stated that sexually transmitted HIV/AIDS, which continues to ravage and spread in the homosexual community through the practice of multiple sex partners, "continues to be a public health threat in many communities," including the District of Columbia.

"That's why this past Saturday, on National HIV Testing Day, I was proud once again to encourage all Americans to know their status and get tested the way Michelle and I know our status and got tested," Obama stated.

However, Obama made clear that the ultimate victory for the homosexual movement would not come merely by legislative fiat from Washington, but through persistent persuasion on all levels.

"We are all witnesses to monumental changes in this country.  That should give us hope, but we cannot rest.  We must continue to do our part to make progress - step by step, law by law, mind by changing mind," asserted Obama.

"And I want you to know that in this task I will not only be your friend, I will continue to be an ally and a champion and a President who fights with you and for you." (Obama Assures Homosexualist Leaders He's a "Champion" of Their Cause.)

An "ally" and a "champion" and a "President who fights with and for" men and women steeped in unrepentant perverse acts committed against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments? A man who praises a promoter of pornography as a "civil rights pioneer"?

Can the word of such a man be trusted?

Pope Pius XI did not express a "blessing" on the "work" of those public officials supported the evils being promoted and exalted by Barack Hussein Obama. He trusted only that they would be judged harshly by God if they did not repent of their evil works before they died:

"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930.)

Has Timothy Dolan ever spoken such words to Barry Soetero? Or would he recoil from doing so as those words, issued by a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter, are at variance with concilairism's penchant for "dialogue" and "understanding" the "other side" of issues, claiming the the need to "listen" and to "learn" from those who disagree?

Saint Paul the Apostle did not wish a "blessing" on those steeped in works of perversity:

Let no man deceive you with vain words. For because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the children of unbelief. Be ye not therefore partakers with them. For you were heretofore darkness, but now light in the Lord. Walk then as children of the light. For the fruit of the light is in all goodness, and justice, and truth; Proving what is well pleasing to God:

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (Eph. 6-11.)

Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God saith: I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore, Go out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: And I will receive you; and I will be a Father to you; and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Cor. 6: 14-18.)

Saint John the Evangelist, the Apostle of the love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, did not believe that we should have anything to do with those who reject the Faith, no less those who aggressively make war upon It, no less "trust" their "word:"

Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son. If any man come to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the house nor say to him, God speed you. For he that saith unto him, God speed you, communicateth with his wicked works. (2 John 1: 9-11.)

The figures of Antichrist in the counterfeit church of conciliarism are so blind that they do not see Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetero for what he is: a figure of Antichrist who is being used by God (He who uses even His enemies to effect His Divine Plan for our salvation) as a means to chastise them for their defections from the true Social Teaching of the Catholic Church and as a means to chastise us all because of our sins and lukewarmness in prayer, because of our own immersion in the falsehoods of a modern world constructed upon the rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King.

Timothy Dolan's current incredulity at Obama's untrustworthiness is premised not upon any of the evil things that he has promoted. No, it is premised upon Obama's having told him that the heresy of "religious liberty" is "sacrosanct" to him. That's the bottom line for conciliar revolutionaries: those in public life can advance all manner of social evils but still be considered fit partners for "dialogue" as long as they "respect" and observe the tenets of the very heresy that has made possible the current chaos. If you haven't read Ominous Offenders Offending Ominously, Memo To David Axelrod And Other Social Engineers, John Carroll's Caesar and Victims of Compromise, please do so. It's all explained--and repeated(!)--there.

Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetero is going to win re-election on November 6, 2012. He is going to defeat whichever midget naturalist of the false opposite of the "right" who manages to get nominated (noting that I still believe Willard Mitt Romney is going to be the organized crime family of the "right's" nominee). The margin will not be close. Obama will win with around fifty-five percent of the popular vote. He's got even more statist tricks up his sleeve in the four years that will follow thereafter. He will likely get a third term once he issues a decree to amendment the Constitution to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment. Look, he's done almost everything else. Why not contend that one can ignore the terms of Article V of the Constitution and simply change the Constitution by fiat.

Timothy Dolan is still reeling from being played for a fool by the former cocaine-snorter from Hawaii. All of his protests now are quite hollow, and the fact that the so-called United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is going to leave it up to "other groups" to challenge the Obama-imposed insurance mandate for contraception coverage means that the the conciliar "bishops" are just as unwilling to take the legal lead against Caesar Barackus Obamus Ignoramus as they have been to criticize him for his support of one objective evil after another. Indeed, as has been pointed out before on this site. most of these "bishops" support the whole concept of "universal health care" in general and ObamaCare in particular, save for the insurance mandate to provide coverage for baby-killing potions. They are Obama's very, very useful idiots to make him look good with his leftist base and with just enough "swing" voters in key states to assure him of his victory in November.

We must, as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit, attempting to plant a few seeds by means of those Rosaries and our other prayers and penances and sacrifices and mortifications and sufferings and humiliations for a true restoration of the Church Militant on earth, one that will come in God's Holy Providence as He Wills it come without any compromise with the truth and without one moment of a "strategic silence" about those things that offend His greater honor and majesty and glory.

Remember this prophecy, spoken by Saint Dominic de Guzman, to a Brother Angelus of the Order of Carmel in 1208 forty-three years before Our Lady gave the Brown Scapular to Saint Simon Stock:

"One day, Brother Angelus, to your Order of Carmel the Most Blessed Virgin Mary will give a devotion to be known as the Brown Scapular, and to my Order of Preachers she will give a devotion to be known as the Rosary. ONE DAY, THROUGH THE ROSARY AND THE SCAPULAR, SHE WILL SAVE THE WORLD."

It is thus no accident that it was Our Lady of Mount Carmel who appeared in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, on October 13, 1917, as she urged us to pray the Rosary daily.

We need to use the shield of the Brown Scapular and the weapon of the Most Holy Rosary to protect us from the inter-related forces of Modernity in the world and of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism so that we can recognize the truth with clarity and embrace it with courage during this time of apostasy and betrayal that is but a well-deserved chastisements for our sins.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!

Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now?

Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Saint Joseph, pray for us.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.

Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.

Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.

Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.

Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.

Saints Faustinus and Jovita, pray for us.

The "Work" of the Anti-Defamation League That is "Admired" By Timothy Dolan

Happy "Cardinal-designate" Timothy Dolan evidently still places trust in the "word" of the pro-abortion, pro-perversity Anti-Defamation League of B'Nail Brith. He is incapable of seeing the evil that this Talmudist organization does, preferring to heap praise on its merchants of spiritual and temporal death while refusing to exhort them to quit their evil practices and to convert to the true Faith before they die.

Here's a little review of the "good work" done by his friends at the Anti-Defamation League:

Doubters out there should consider the hard evidence that proves this point. Consider the amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs filed by the Anti-Defamation League in the case of Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England to oppose the constitutionality of the New Hampshire Parental Notification Act. Here is a summary of the brief, followed by the first few paragraphs of the actual brief filed with the Supreme Court of the United States:

Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, et al. (2005) This Supreme Court case involves the constitutionality of The New Hampshire Parental Notification Prior to Abortion Act. The Act prohibits abortions for minors unless the parents have been notified, but provides exceptions for abortions necessary to prevent death and for minors who have obtained a judicial declaration that they are mature enough to make a decision concerning abortion. The First Circuit Court of Appeals previously ruled that the Act was unconstitutional because it does not include a health exception and the death exception is too narrow. ADL, together with 41 other religious and religiously affiliated organizations, joined a brief authored by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. The brief argued, among other things, that in emergency situations, the Act unconstitutionally threatens the health and lives of young women, and undermines their right to choose an abortion in accordance with religious faiths that place great value on women’s health and lives. The variety of religious beliefs about abortion underscores the importance of maintaining a private sphere– free from undue government interference – in which women, including minors, can make choices to protect their own lives and health in accordance with their faiths. Although parental guidance in young women’s major life decisions, including whether to end a pregnancy, is important, state-mandated parental involvement can sometimes harm the minor, such as where the family is dysfunctional or where an emergency situation requires immediate action.

Amici are religious organizations and religiously affiliated organizations dedicated to preserving religious freedom for all persons and to protecting a woman’s health and right to carry or terminate her pregnancy in accordance with her religion and values.1 The statements of interest provided by amici, included in Appendix B to this brief, demonstrate their shared interest (from different perspectives) in the right of women of all ages to make reproductive choices in accordance with their individual conscience and free from governmental interference. A full listing of the forty-two (42) organizations signing this brief as amici curiae appears in Appendix A.

Because amici value life and health, and recognize the many divergent theological perspectives regarding abortion, amici agree that all women whose health is at risk should be free to seek the best available medical advice, without governmental coercion or constraint, in making the difficult decision whether to terminate a pregnancy. Adherence to these principles compels amici to support Respondents in this case.

Because amici, cherish human life and health as among their most important values. Many of these religions hold that it is morally appropriate for women of all ages to consider – in accordance with their faiths – the threat to their lives or health in deciding whether to terminate a pregnancy. The New Hampshire Parental Notification Prior to Abortion Act, N.H.Rev. Stat. Ann. §§ 132:24-132:28 (Supp. 2004) (the “New Hampshire Act” or the “Act”), lacks a health exception and an adequate life exception, as required by this Court’s precedents. In emergency medical situations, the Act unconstitutionally threatens the health and lives of young women, and undermines their right to choose an abortion in accordance with religious faiths that place great value on women’s health and lives.

The religious component of the rights of privacy and of reproductive choice have been repeatedly recognized in this Court’s opinions, including in cases as early as Pierce v. Society of Sisters, 268 U.S. 510 (1925), and as recent as Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey, 505 U.S. 833 (1992). Many Americans reflect upon their religious beliefs and moral principles when making important private decisions about family, marriage, and procreation. The variety of religious teachings and beliefs about abortion underscores the importance of maintaining a private sphere – free from undue government interference – in which women can make choices to protect their own lives and health in accordance with their faiths and their consciences. This private sphere extends to minor women who are faced with pregnancies that threaten their lives and health. Although amici support and encourage parental guidance in young women’s major life decisions, including whether to end a pregnancy, they recognize that state-mandated parental involvement can sometimes harm the minor, such as where the family is dysfunctional or where an emergency medical situation requires immediate action. The Constitution protects minors from such threats to their lives, health, and religious beliefs.

No one associated with an organization responsible for such a legal brief should be given any earthly awards or honors, least of all those that carry with the title of "papal knighthood," of all things. The Catholic Church used to denounce the efforts of Catholic-hating naturalists to fill the world all manner of social poisons, seeking to pray for the conversion of such people to her maternal bosom. The counterfeit church of conciliarism rewards those who are associated closely with organizations dedicated to the spread of social evils and who do not want the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer uttered publicly, something that one conciliar prelate after another has more that accommodated himself to by refusing to mention that Holy Name of Jesus Christ in public with the adherents of the Talmud present.

Want more proof of the Anti-Defamation League's support for baby-killing under cover of law? Well, here is a press release from their own site, issued following the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in Gonzales v. Carhart, which was not a"pro-life victory (see An Illusion of a Victory), on April 19, 2007:

ADL Disappointed With Supreme Court Ruling On Partial Birth Abortion Act

New York, NY, April 19, 2007 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued the following statement expressing its disappointment at the Supreme Court's ruling upholding the federal Partial Birth Abortion Act:

We are deeply troubled by the ramifications of the Supreme Court's ruling on abortion.  By upholding, for the first time, an abortion statute which contains no exception for the health of the woman, the Supreme Court has undermined a woman's right to choose and to act in accordance with her conscience and the dictates of her faith.

We continue to believe that Americans should have the freedom to make difficult decisions of conscience and health without government interference.

ADL joined an amicus brief in the case filed by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights.

"I have long admired the work of the Anti-Defamation League from afar, and now to receive your welcome and your assurances of our hope for future cooperation, which I enthusiastically share, means very much to me"?

Do you still stand by this absurd statement that is an insult to the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication, "Archbishop" Dolan?

Do you have any trace of a sensus Catholicus left in you to raise yourself like a Catholic man and to even take public note of the work of the Anti-Defamation League to undermine the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law, no less to denounce firmly and unequivocally this wretched work that is from the devil himself?

How about the following examples of the "work" of the Anti-Defamation League, "Archbishop" Dolan?

Yesterday, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) urged the Florida Senate Education Pre-K-12 Committee to reject a divisive and unconstitutional school prayer bill – SB1360 - at its March 26th hearing.  If enacted, SB1360 would permit Christian, Muslim, Jewish or other sectarian prayers at public school assemblies, sports events, dances and other school-related activities.

In a letter to the Florida Senate Education Pre-K-12 Committee, ADL advised that, In our religiously diverse state, such a policy is patently unfair, divisive, and unconstitutional, and it would cost local school districts and taxpayers needless litigation expenses.  The First Amendment and federal Equal Access Act provide public high school students with the right to privately pray alone or in groups during non-curricular time and to form non-curricular religious clubs.  The clear effect of this policy would be to impose the majority's religious beliefs, which depending on the individual school could be Protestant, Catholic, Jewish or Muslim, upon all students at school-sponsored high school activities.

Practically speaking, most school-related activities are "noncompulsory" in name only.  Students such as sports team members make commitments that require their attendance at games.  And other students feel intense peer pressure to attend school-related activities.  Regardless of peer pressure, students should not have to choose between attending a school-related activity and being subjected to unwanted religious activity … .

In these difficult times, we urge the Committee on Education Pre-K-12 to focus on matters that unite Floridians and that do not risk unnecessary expenditure of taxpayer funds.  We therefore urge you to vote against SB1360.

In its most recent school prayer case – Santa Fe Independent School v. Doe - the U.S. Supreme Court found that a school policy virtually identical to the policy provided for in SB1360 unconstitutionally endorsed and coerced religion.

David Barkey, ADL Southern Area Counsel, is in Tallahassee today and is available for interviews. (ADL: ADL Warns School Prayer Bill in Florida is Unconstitutional)

The constitutional mandate of separation of church and state, as interpreted in a long line of U.S. Supreme Court decisions, prohibits a public school from giving students the impression that it prefers or sanctions a particular religion, or religion generally. Our public schools must be hospitable to students from a variety of backgrounds, regardless of their faith. A Christmas concert dominated by religious carols, Christian music in the school office, and a creationism video in science class with a theological message are not reflective of religious neutrality, but instead appear to be school endorsement of the Christian religion.

Celebrations of holidays and expressions of religious belief enrich the personal and spiritual lives of many Americans. But those practices belong in a house of worship, in private religious schools, in the home, and in the heart - not in the public schools. Our public schools should inculcate students with understanding and respect for diversity, as well as a spirit of tolerance, acceptance and inclusion.

A sturdy wall separating church and state is essential to preserving and promoting freedom of religion in our increasingly pluralistic nation.

Consequently, promotion of religious views, such as that which took place in this Colorado public school, is inconsistent with the guarantees of religious liberty in the First Amendment  (ADL Not Out to Censor Christmas)

San Francisco, CA, May 15, 2008 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) welcomed today's California Supreme Court decision supporting the right of same-sex couples to marry.  The court held that under California law, the right to marry is a fundamental right, integral to an individual's autonomy, and that banning same-sex couples from marrying violates the California Constitution.

ADL issued the following statement:

We are pleased by the court's decision supporting the right of same-sex couples to marry, and welcome this reaffirmation of equal protection for all.

We are also gratified that the Court agreed with our assertion that the law raised privacy issues, exposing gay individuals "to detrimental treatment by those who continue to harbor prejudices that have been rejected by California society at large."

With this decision, California has taken a significant step forward in the pursuit of individual liberty and freedom from discrimination for all.

ADL has regional offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Barbara, San Diego and San Francisco.  ADL joined a coalition brief, authored by the law firm Proskauer Rose LLP. (ADL Welcomes California Supreme Court Decision In Support Of Same Sex Marriage.)

"I have long admired the work of the Anti-Defamation League from afar, and now to receive your welcome and your assurances of our hope for future cooperation, which I enthusiastically share, means very much to me"?

Timothy "I aim to be a happy 'bishop'" Dolan admires the "work of the Anti-Defamation League from afar." Indeed, he admires the "work of the Anti-Defamation League" from such a "distance" that he cannot see or refuses to admit publicly that the Anti-Defamation League is a tool of the devil to promote one objective evil after another under cover of the civil law and throughout the course popular culture and that it is imperative to pray, fast and to make many sacrifices to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary to pray for their conversion just as the Mother of God herself effected the conversion of the Catholic-hating Jew named Alphonse Ratisbonne on January 20, 1842, by means of the Miraculous Medal as she appeared to him as she does on that Medal in the Church of San Andrea delle Fratte in Rome, Italy.

Appendix B

Pope Saint Pius X Contra Timothy Dolan

POPE: We are unable to favor this movement [of Zionism]. We cannot prevent the Jews from going to Jerusalem—but we could never sanction it. The ground of Jerusalem, if it were not always sacred, has been sanctified by the life of Jesus Christ. As the head of the Church I cannot answer you otherwise. The Jews have not recognized our Lord, therefore we cannot recognize the Jewish people.

HERZL: [The conflict between Rome and Jerusalem, represented by the one and the other of us, was once again under way. At the outset I tried to be conciliatory. I said my little piece. . . . It didn’t greatly impress him. Jerusalem was not to be placed in Jewish hands.] And its present status, Holy Father?

POPE: I know, it is disagreeable to see the Turks in possession of our Holy Places. We simply have to put up with it. But to sanction the Jewish wish to occupy these sites, that we cannot do.

HERZL: [I said that we based our movement solely on the sufferings of the Jews, and wished to put aside all religious issues].

POPE: Yes, but we, but I as the head of the Catholic Church, cannot do this. One of two things will likely happen. Either the Jews will retain their ancient faith and continue to await the Messiah whom we believe has already appeared—in which case they are denying the divinity of Jesus and we cannot assist them. Or else they will go there with no religion whatever, and then we can have nothing at all to do with them. The Jewish faith was the foundation of our own, but it has been superceded by the teachings of Christ, and we cannot admit that it still enjoys any validity. The Jews who should have been the first to acknowledge Jesus Christ have not done so to this day.

HERZL: [It was on the tip of my tongue to remark, “It happens in every family: no one believes in his own relative.” But, instead, I said:] Terror and persecution were not precisely the best means for converting the Jews. [His reply had an element of grandeur in its simplicity:]

POPE: Our Lord came without power. He came in peace. He persecuted no one. He was abandoned even by his apostles. It was only later that he attained stature. It took three centuries for the Church to evolve. The Jews therefore had plenty of time in which to accept his divinity without duress or pressure. But they chose not to do so, and they have not done it yet.

HERZL: But, Holy Father, the Jews are in a terrible plight. I do not know if Your Holiness is aware of the full extent of their tragedy. We need a land for these harried people.

POPE: Must it be Jerusalem?

HERZL: We are not asking for Jerusalem, but for Palestine—for only the secular land.

POPE: We cannot be in favor of it.

[Editor Lowenthal interjects here] Here unrelenting replacement theology is plainly upheld as the norm of the Roman Catholic Church. Further, this confession, along with the whole tone of the Pope in his meeting with Herzl, indicates the perpetuation of a doctrinal emphasis that has resulted in centuries of degrading behavior toward the Jews. However, this response has the “grandeur” of total avoidance of that which Herzl had intimated, namely that the abusive reputation of Roman Catholicism toward the Jews was unlikely to foster conversion. Further, if, “It took three centuries for the Church to evolve,” it was that very same period of time that it took for the Church to consolidate and launch its thrust of anti-Semitism through the following centuries.

HERZL: Does Your Holiness know the situation of the Jews?

POPE: Yes, from my days in Mantua, where there are Jews. I have always been in friendly relations with Jews. Only the other evening two Jews were here to see me. There are other bonds than those of religion: social intercourse, for example, and philanthropy. Such bonds we do not refuse to maintain with the Jews. Indeed we also pray for them, that their spirit see the light. This very day the Church is celebrating the feast of an unbeliever who became converted in a miraculous manner—on the road to Damascus. And so if you come to Palestine and settle your people there, we will be ready with churches and priests to baptize all of you. (Marvin Lowenthal, The Diaries of Theodore Herzl.)

Saint John Chrysostom Contra Conciliarism in General and Ratzinger/Benedict and his Stooges in Particular

Let that be your judgment about the synagogue, too. For they brought the books of Moses and the prophets along with them into the synagogue, not to honor them but to outrage them with dishonor. When they say that Moses and the prophets knew not Christ and said nothing about his coming, what greater outrage could they do to those holy men than to accuse them of failing to recognize their Master, than to say that those saintly prophets are partners of their impiety? And so it is that we must hate both them and their synagogue all the more because of their offensive treatment of those holy men." (Saint John Chrysostom, Fourth Century, A.D., Saint John Chrysostom: Eight Homilies Against the Jews.)

Many, I know, respect the Jews and think that their present way of life is a venerable one. This is why I hasten to uproot and tear out this deadly opinion. I said that the synagogue is no better than a theater and I bring forward a prophet as my witness. Surely the Jews are not more deserving of belief than their prophets. "You had a harlot's brow; you became shameless before all". Where a harlot has set herself up, that place is a brothel. But the synagogue is not only a brothel and a theater; it also is a den of robbers and a lodging for wild beasts. Jeremiah said: "Your house has become for me the den of a hyena". He does not simply say "of wild beast", but "of a filthy wild beast", and again: "I have abandoned my house, I have cast off my inheritance". But when God forsakes a people, what hope of salvation is left? When God forsakes a place, that place becomes the dwelling of demons.

(2) But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who says so? The Son of God says so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?

(3) If, then, the Jews fail to know the Father, if they crucified the Son, if they thrust off the help of the Spirit, who should not make bold to declare plainly that the synagogue is a dwelling of demons? God is not worshipped there. Heaven forbid! From now on it remains a place of idolatry. But still some people pay it honor as a holy place.
