More Than Enough Chaos To Go Around

Among the fan mail that I have received in recent weeks, including the poem that announces to the world that I have "excommunicated" myself from the authority of the Catholic Church by leaving and then criticizing various aspects of Saint Gertrude the Great Church (see A Bull of Excommunication from An Anonymous Excommunicator), have been several notes from rabid anti-sedevacantist sedeplenists (those who believe that the See of Peter is occupied validly by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI) seeking to exploit the tragic events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio.

Although so many articles on this site have discussed the exploits of various conciliar "bishops" who remain in perfectly "good standing" in the wonderfully well-ordered ecclesiastical, doctrinal, liturgical and moral environments found within the counterfeit church of conciliarism, it it necessary to give some of those who are chortling about the events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church a little reminder of the fact that chaos reigns supreme everywhere in the conciliar structures, starting with the false "pope" himself, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI.

Perhaps it wise to review the brief list of the things that Ratzinger/Benedict has done to offend the honor and majesty and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity that I included just a few days ago in Refusing To Take Ratzinger At His Word:

1. Ratzinger/Benedict denies the nature of dogmatic truth, cleaving to  philosophically absurd notion that dogmatic truth can never be expressed adequately at any one point in time, that each expression of dogma is necessarily "conditioned" by the historical circumstances in which it was pronounced. Condemned by the [First] Vatican Council, Pope Saint Pius X in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907, and The Oath Against Modernism, and by Pope Pius XII in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950.
2. Ratzinger/Benedict believes in an ecclesiology of "full" and "partial" communion that flies in the face of the teaching of the Catholic Church, a teaching documented so well by His Excellency Bishop Donald Sanborn in The New Ecclesiology: An Overview and The New Ecclesiology: Documentation and Communion: Ratzinger's Ecumenical One-World Church).
3. Ratzinger/Benedict specifically rejects the "ecumenism of the return," thereby making a mockery of the exhortations of one true pope after another for such a return of non-Catholics to the true Church.
4. Ratzinger/Benedict embraces concilairism's definition of "religious liberty" as he praises the nonexistent ability of false religions to "contribute" to the "betterment" of nations and the world. Condemned by Pope Pius VII in Post Tam Diuturnas, April 29, 1814, Pope Gregory XVI in Mirari Vos, August 15, 1832, and by Pope Pius IX in Quanta Cura, December 8, 1864.)
5. Ratzinger/Benedict endorses the "separation of Church and State," a thesis called absolutely false by Pope Saint Pius X in Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906, and rejects the obligation of the civil state to recognize the Catholic Church as its official religion and to pursue the common temporal good in light of man's Last End, an obligation reiterated by pope after pope following the rise of the religiously indifferentist civil state of Modernity.
6. Ratzinger/Benedict, therefore, falls into the category of a social modernist described by Pope Pius XI in Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922 (see: The Binding Nature of Catholic Social Teaching).
7. Ratzinger/Benedict has entered one mosque and two synagogues, engaging in acts of apostasy and blasphemy as he, who believes himself to be the Vicar of Christ on earth, has permitted himself to be treated as an inferior as he has treated places of false worship that are hideous to God as worthy of respect, thereby scandalizing His little ones no end.
8. Ratzinger/Benedict has termed Mount Hiei in Japan, where the adherents of the Tendei sect of Buddhism, worship their devils, as "sacred."
9. Joseph Ratzinger has long rejected the official philosophy of the Catholic Church, the Scholasticism of Saint Thomas Aquinas, in favor of the condemned precepts of the so-called "New Theology," the subject of an article, The Memories of a Destructive Mind: Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger's Milestones, on a Society of Saint Pius X website that may well "disappear"--along with other "damaging" citations that will have to be removed as part of the conciliar process of "purification of memory"--once a formal "regularization" takes place. 10. Ratzinger/Benedict holds to a view of the Doctrine of Justification that, in essence, hinges on the belief that the Fathers of the Council of Trent, who met under the influence and protection of God the Holy Ghost, were wrong (as is explained in Attempting to Coerce Perjury.)
11. Ratzinger/Benedict has called for a "world political authority" that violates the sovereignty of nation-states and is based in a concept of universal "brotherhood" and a "respect" for all religions that is nothing other than Judeo-Masonic-Communistic. 12. Ratzinger/Benedict has wished a "blessing" on the Marxist-trained, pro-abortion statist named Barack Hussein Obama and on all his work.
13. Ratzinger/Benedict has permitted the Vatican's semi-official newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, to publish articles praising Harry Potter, John Lennon, Karl Marx, Charles Darwin, Oscar Wilde, Barack Hussein Obama, and John Calvin. 14. Ratzinger/Benedict has refused to discipline or even contradict conciliar "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch, the head of the conciliar "bishops'" conference in the Federal Republic of Germany, after Zollitsch denied, on Holy Saturday, April 11, 2009, of all days, that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died on the wood of the Holy Cross in atonement for our sins. Here is just a little chart to demonstrate exactly how long that Ratzinger/Benedict has remained silent about the heretical and blasphemous comment:

    The total number of days between Saturday, April 11th, 2009 and Friday, November 20th, 2009 is 223 days.

    This is equal to exactly 7 months and 9 days.

    The total time span from 2009-04-11 to 2009-11-20 is 5,352 hours.

    This is equivalent to 321,120 minutes.

    You can also convert 223 days to 19,267,200 seconds. (This is a long time, my friends, to be silent about this heresy.) Our Lady as a sulky, moody teenager, thus denying the doctrinal effects of her perfect integrity of body and soul as a result of her Immaculate Conception, to make its world premiere at the Paul VI Audience Hall in the Vatican on Sunday, November 26, 2006. 15. Ratzinger/Benedict has praised the pantheistic evolutionist named Teilhard de Chardin (see Revealing His Inner Teilhard Yet Again.)
16. Ratzinger/Benedict has repeatedly spoken in pantheistic terms about evolutionism and the ideology of environmentalism (Listen to the Voice of God.)
17. Ratzinger/Benedict has repeatedly spoken out against the death penalty in full contradiction of the consistent teaching of the Catholic Church in her explication of the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law.
18. Ratzinger/Benedict has defamed the memory of the English Martyrs by permitting "conservative" Anglicans to seek entry into his own false church by retaining "traditions" that arose in a rejection and corruption of Catholic Faith and Worship (see Defaming The English Martyrs and Still Defaming The English Martyrs.)
19. Ratzinger/Benedict treats the leaders of false religions as valid "ministers" of God and accords them full public honors as he praised the nonexistent ability of their false beliefs to "contribute" to the building of a "better world."
20. Ratzinger/Benedict approved the "beatification" of Father Antonio Rosmini, forty of whose propositions were condemned personally by Pope Leo XIII before the then "Cardinal" Ratzinger" reversed those condemnations in 2001, to give credence to his own New Theology that was condemned by Pope Pius XII in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950. Perhaps it would good as well to remind those who are chortling about the events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church that the following men continue as "bishops" in the counterfeit church of conciliarism (and this, because of fatigue, is only a very partial list):

1. Patrick McGrath, the conciliar "bishop" of San Jose who has denied the historicity of the Gospel accounts of the Passion of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2. George Niederauer,  the conciliar "archbishop" of San Francisco who has given what purports to be Holy Communion to the perverted "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" and who has praised a motion picture that propagandizes in behalf of perverse sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments, Brokeback Mountain.
3. Sylvester Ryan, the retired conciliar "archbishop" of Monterey, California, who had an actual, honest-to-goodness baby-killer serving on his "review board" of the activities of perverted priests.
4. Roger Mahony, the conciliar "archbishop" of Los Angeles, the notorious Six Hundred Million Dollar Man who is prone to say Yes, Sir, Master Scribe.
5. Tod Brown, the conciliar "bishop" of Orange, California, who has presided over the paying out of over $85 million to victims of perverted clergy.
6. Rembert G. Weakland, the disgraced conciliar "archbishop" of Milwaukee who has written openly in support of perverse acts in violation of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments (Weak In Mind, Weakest Yet In Faith).
7. Joseph Fiorenza, the retired conciliar "archbishop" of Galveston-Houston, Texas, who believes that the Old Covenant God made with the Jews has never been revoked (Always Coming to the Rescue).
8. Sean O'Malley, who permitted  a "Mass of Christian Burial" for Edward Moore Kennedy and was one of a phalanx of conciliar "bishops" to (See: Another Victim of Americanism; Behold The Free Rein Given to Error; Behold The Free Rein Given to Error; Unfortunate Enough to Be A Baby; Unfortunate Enough to Be A Baby; Beacon of Social Justice?; Spotlight On The Ordinary; What's Good For Teddy Is Good For Benny; Sean O'Malley: Coward and Hypocrite: More Rationalizations and Distortions.)
9. Timothy Dolan, who aims to be the "happy" conciliar "archbishop" of New York, see Making Everyone Happy Except God and Silence.
10. Daniel Leo Ryan, the disgraced conciliar "bishop" of Springfield, Illinois, who, though suspended from his priestly ministry, is still in "good standing" in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
11. Donald Wuerl, the conciliar "archbishop" of Washington, D.C., who refuses deny what purports to be "Holy Communion" to pro-abortion Catholic politicians and who is one of the chief proponents of various programs to provide explicit classroom instruction in matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments in direct violation of Pope Pius XI's prohibition of same as found in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.
12. Noting only a few exceptions here and there, the entire body of the "United States Conference of 'Catholic' Bishops" supports the concept of ObamaCare and statism as they oppose the death penalty in full violation of the teaching of the Catholic Church.

 

This list could continue ad nauseam, ad infinitum. Suffice it to say that there are also the daily outrages given to God in the context of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service and the practices of false ecumenism and inter-religious "prayer" services and the garden variety support of the heresy of Americanism that are common features of every day life in the well-ordered structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. 

One of the daily outrages given to God by conciliar "bishops" who are in perfectly "good standing" in the Novus Ordo structures involves almost ceaseless violations of the First Commandment as false religions are accorded various honors. The conciliar "bishops" who do these things are just following the lead of their "pope," who violates the First Commandment very brazenly. Here is just one recent example of a conciliar "bishop" honoring a false religion, in this case the diabolical sect known as Hinduism:

Archbishop Nichols, what were you thinking? Your own press office has reported that you offered flowers at the altar of Hindu deities during a visit to a temple. (UPDATE: since this post went up, the relevant sentence has been removed from the Westminster diocesan website.)

The visit took place on Saturday 21 November 2009 during Interfaith Week and on the birth anniversary of the worldwide spiritual leader of the Hindus who pray at the Mandir (Hindu Temple) at Neasden, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Archbishop Nichols was greeted by the Mandir’s spiritual leader, Yogvivek Swami, ( Head Sadhu, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha – UK & Europe) and the Trustees of the Mandir. He was welcomed in traditional Hindu style – with a red vermillion mark applied to the forehead and the tying of a sacred thread on the wrist, symbolising friendship and goodwill.

Yogvivek Swami guided the Archbishop around the Mandir complex, including the sanctum sanctorum where the Archbishop offered flowers at the altar to the deities. He then moved to the deity of Shri Nilkanth Varni (Bhagwan Swaminarayan) where he joined Yogvivek Swami in praying for world peace and harmony.

After a private meeting with Yogvivek Swami, Archbishop Nichols spoke to an audience of around 2,000 Hindus about a number of common concerns. These included the vital role religion contributes to the common good, the importance of supporting family life, the education of children and young people and the understanding and valuing of different cultures and traditions.

Before departing, Archbishop Nichols presented Yogvivek Swami with a special candle, ‘a sign of the lovely light of God in our lives and a sign of the prayer which, in return, we offer to God’. Nothing like the well-ordered life that exists under "Pope" Benedict XVI, huh?

One of those who was doing a bit of chortling over the events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church is a man who has done a good deal of protesting in front of his local diocesan chancery office over the years, oblivious to the fact that the Catholic Church cannot give us false doctrines or liturgies that are offensive to God in any way:

For the teaching authority of the Church, which in the divine wisdom was constituted on earth in order that revealed doctrines might remain intact for ever, and that they might be brought with ease and security to the knowledge of men, and which is daily exercised through the Roman Pontiff and the Bishops who are in communion with him, has also the office of defining, when it sees fit, any truth with solemn rites and decrees, whenever this is necessary either to oppose the errors or the attacks of heretics, or more clearly and in greater detail to stamp the minds of the faithful with the articles of sacred doctrine which have been explained. (Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos, January 6, 1928.)

CANON VII.--If any one saith, that the ceremonies, vestments, and outward signs, which the Catholic Church makes use of in the celebration of masses, are incentives to impiety, rather than offices of piety; let him be anathema. (Session Twenty-Two, Chapter IX, Canon VII, Council of Trent, September 17, 1562, CT022.)

 

There is a supreme irony represented by the chortling done by the man who has protested in front of his local chancery office quite a bit, a man who talked about the "canonical chaos" in sedevacantist circles. The gentleman in question was part of a group that established an independent chapel that operated, at least at first, outside of the formal control of the local diocese. The elderly priest who offered the modernized version of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition there was fully supportive of "Pope" John Paul II even though he, the priest, operated without the formal permission of the diocesan "bishop" by offering Mass and hearing confessions in this chapel. The priest even had his own form of "excommunication" as he told the editor of Catholic Family News, Mr. John Vennari, not to attend Mass in this chapel as Mr. Vennari was approaching the chapel's entrance. The reason? Mr. Vennari was critical of "Pope" John Paul II. "Canonical chaos," anyone?

And lest anyone think that the clerical abuse of the laity that I have been documenting in recent articles on this site that have given me no glee whatsoever is a phenomenon found only in sedevacantist circles, please consider the e-mail that was sent by an anti-sedevacantist "independent" priest, well-known to the man who wrote about "canonical chaos" in sedevacantist circles, to a person after he raised a pastoral to concern to him:

First note: "The truth is that we don't take you seriously. Who the [Hades] are you anyway to be poking your nose where it does not belong? Occupy yourself with your own salvation and leave the running of this chapel to me. You aren't even a parishioner. You are a nosy, calumniating, vicious, uncharitable, wicked person who apparently has too much time on his hands. When you prove to me that this has any bearing on the Catholic Faith or the Church in general, I might listen, but considering the source, I probably wouldn't listen even then. Until then, MIND YOUR OWN [Expletive Deleted] BUSINESS!!! If you yourself were some pillar of virtue you would have some credibility, but you are not, and you have no credibility here or elsewhere. There, is that clear enough for you, [name of correspondent], or do I need to clarify this even further? I do not want to hear from you again, thank you very much! Do not contact me, do not contact my priests, do not contact my parishioners. How about getting on your knees and contacting God for a change? It is people like you that hinder the salvation of many souls because you do not know your place. The end."

Second note: To add to what I wrote you in the last email: HOW DARE YOU CONTACT MY PRIESTS BEHIND MY BACK WITH SUCH CALUMNIATING FILTH! Have you no fear of Hell? Have you no sense of propriety? If I EVER hear that you have contacted ANYONE, whether it be priest or laity, in this parish again, I will read you out from the altar BY NAME as being just the spiritual and moral peril that you are to any good soul. I will post your name on the door of the church, and I will tell people just what I think of you and those like you in no uncertain words. Is that clear? Stop this now because I guarantee that you cannot win this one as you have no ammunition with which to win anything.

 

Ah, yes, isn't it wonderful to see the well-ordered life that exists within the counterfeit church of conciliarism? Mind you, this priest is under no "bishop," true or otherwise. He is entirely a law unto himself. No one supervises him. He refers to "my priests" even though he has no mandate from the Catholic Church to exercise ecclesiastical authority over any other priest, true or false. Yet, of course, he accepts Joseph Ratzinger as "Pope" Benedict XVI while refusing his obeisance to his local "bishop." This priest has also said that he had "never met a sedevacantist who wasn't insane." How about that? Another expert on mental illness, this time found in the outer reaches of the counterfeit church of conciliarism in the "resist and recognize" movement.

There is more than enough chaos to go around during this time of apostasy and betrayal. We need a true pope.

Obviously, fallen human nature afflicts each of us. Each of us, if we are honest with ourselves, give bad example. It would be disingenuous to claim that the bad example of the anti-sedevacantist independent priest who is so prone to lash out at his critics (sound familiar?) tars all other such priests. It is also disingenuous for anti-sedevacantist lay people to conclude that the events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church discredit the canonical doctrine of the Catholic Church that was admitted even by the likes of the late prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, Mario Francesco "Cardinal" Pompedda:

It is true that the canonical doctrine states that the see would be vacant in the case of heresy. ... But in regard to all else, I think what is applicable is what judgment regulates human acts. And the act of will, namely a resignation or capacity to govern or not govern, is a human act. (Cardinal Says Pope Could Govern Even If Unable to Speak, Zenit, February 8, 2005.)

 

There are many wonderful, well-balanced sedevacantist bishops and priests who put virtue before dignity, men who recognize that being right about our ecclesiastical situation is not a license to believe that they are the "church" and thus can do as they please with utter impunity. Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D., who celebrated his ninety-fourth birthday thirteen days ago, that is, on November 12, 2009, is one of these priests. We are privileged to know many others. Sedevacantism is no more defined by the clerical abuse the sheep about which I have reporting recently than Catholicism as a whole is defined by the protection of perverted clergy the conciliar "bishops."

The devil always seeks to use the bad example of some, including our own bad example, to discredit Catholicism in general, no less to keep people away from the true sacraments in the underground church during this time of apostasy and betrayal. We must never permit this trick of the devil to discourage us from the practice of the Faith or from recognizing that anyone who does or says or believes what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI believes or says or does can remain a member of the Catholic Church in good standing.

As I have noted rather consistently in my writing, we must pray for each other during this time of apostasy and betrayal. There are the deceptions to be found in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, and, of course, there are the deceptions found among some of the underground clergy who think that they are indeed the Catholic Church and outside of their chapels there is very little, if anything, in the way of salvation. We must pray for the conciliarists who practice deception about the truths of the Faith. We must pray for those who practice self-deception about themselves, praying also that we never fall prey to self-deception about ourselves and our necessity to do penance for our sins as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

None is us is any better than anyone else. We must will the good of all others, the ultimate expression of which is the salvation of their immortal  souls as members of the Catholic Church, which is not limited to any one particular venue. We must forgive all offenses, whether real or imagined, right readily, recognizing that nothing that anyone does to us or says about us is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death and that caused His Most Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and through with those Seven Swords of Sorrow.

We pray to Our Lady, confident that the Triumph of her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart will vanquish the foes of the Faith in the world and in the counterfeit church of conciliarism once and for all. Every Rosary we pray, offered to the Most Holy Trinity through that same Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, will plant a few seeds for this triumph, especially as we spend time in prayer before her Divine Son's Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
