Sobering Truths at a Time Men Are Drunk with Naturalism (or, in other words, Sober Up, part 14)

This is the sort of commentary that will please very few people during a time when the adversary has agitated even believing Catholics in agitated fits of frenzy about events in the Judeo-Masonic world of naturalism in which we live. Very few people, it would appear, are willing to look dispassionately at contemporary events through the eyes of the true Faith without being distracted by “talking heads” who may see the “trees” well enough now and again but who are totally clueless about First and Last Things.

Many believing Catholics lost the joy of the Advent season by the endless distractions provided by this or that “breaking news” and are permitting the joy of the Christmas season to be attenuated by the continuing melodrama over the shutdown of the Federal government of the United States of America and the ongoing Deep State plot to overthrow a duly elected president.

How does any of this advance the cause of Christ the King and His true Church or the sanctification and salvation of our own immortal souls?

Amplifying A Few Points Made in  Catholicism, Not Machiavellianism, Is the Sole Guide to the Just Social Order

One of ironies of viewing President Trump with a Machiavellian lens is that even Machiavelli believed that a prince should choose his advisers well, and this is something that Trump has not done in his business life nor during his tumultuous first half of his presidency. He has consistently chosen to do business with Talmudic Russian oligarchs (see (A Guide to the Jewish Oligarchs in the Russia Probe and (Donald Trump's Complicated Relationship with Jews) and his former consigliere, the disgraced and disgraceful Michael Cohen, has a lifelong record of shady business dealings with Russian Jews, many of whom helped to fund his taxi medallion business, and of enhancing his own personal standing with women even though he is a married man (see  (How Michael Cohen Built a Shadowy Business and Cohen Says He Rigged Polls for Trump and for Himself). These ties with Russian Jewish oligarchs and financiers, although not illegal and not grounds for impeachment, have given Robert Mueller and his team of persecutors a good deal of ammunition, which will be used by the socialists, statists, Mohammedans, mutants and other assorted fruitcakes and fairies who comprise the majority of the members of the United States House of Representatives.

Indeed, a speculative commentary on Trust Michael Cohen?, which is not the same thing as the American Spectator publication, indicated that the president’s father, Fred Trump, had a cardinal rule of not putting instructions in writing, something that some are contending is used by President Trump himself. This report appeared in the aftermath of the now-discredited BuzzFeed story (co-authorized by a “reporter,” Jason Leopold, who has a history of plagiarism and of inventing “facts”—see Reporters Behind Trump told Cohen to lie before Congress have history of making things up) that the president instructed the confessed liar Michael Cohen to lie before a Congressional committee about the efforts of the Trump Organization to establish a hotel in Moscow, which is not illegal, during the 2016 campaign. This whole matter was made even more murky by the fact that another of the president’s “great” personnel choices, the thrice-married, serial adulterer, pro-abortion Rudolph William Giuliani, keeps changing what he tells the mainslime media on an almost daily basis to the point that it is impossible to sort out who did what and when (see, for example, Guiliani Makes a Mess of Things and Giuliani backtracks on claims made about Trump). The bottom line, though, is this: Machiavellianism, which includes lying and deception on a regular basis, does not work out well for this who employ it, especially if one’s fellow liars to whom one has given his trust decide to act in a Machiavellian manner themselves, including by secretly recording those with whom he speaks.

Donald John Trump is not a good judge of character, and he chose his initial set of Cabinet officers without much thought, and at least three of them, including Rex Tillerson, James Mattis and Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, actively undermined his presidency, to say nothing of the thousands sub-Cabinet officers who are part of the so-called “resistance.” Trump is to blame for this as, has been noted in many parts of this series, neither he nor those who advised him during the campaign had compiled a list of candidates to fill these positions. Indeed, Trump did not even know that there were over 1200 people in the Executive Office of the President (EXOP) until he met with his nefarious predecessor, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, at the White House on Thursday, November 10, 2016, the Feast of Saint Andrew Avellino.

It should also be remembered that the president’s fellow political neophytes, especially Donald John Trump, Jr., were just plain stupid in thinking that any amount of “dirt” on Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton that they were led to believe could be given them by a Russian woman would have had any effect on Madame Defarge’s electoral support. I mean, after all that Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton and her rascallion husband, former President William Jefferson Blyth Clinton, have done to skirt almost all legal ramifications for their career-long crime spree against the laws of God and the just laws of men, it is a just a little idiotic, to be charitable, you understand, to think that there is anything “new” that could have robbed last year’s robotic presidential nominee of the organized crime family of the naturalist “left” of much of her support. Moreover, the only thing that one needs to know about either one of the Clintons is that both support the unrestricted butchery of innocent babies in their mothers’ wombs under cover of the civil law, which is in and of itself a complete disqualification for the holding of office of public trust, whether appointed or elected.

News that the former First Lady and United States Senator from the State of New York had, as the United States Secretary of State, had used an unsecured, home-brewed computer server, which was kept in her home in Chappaqua, New York, on which to illegally store classified material that she transferred illegally from her State Department computer was well known. So were Clinton’s multiple lies about how many devices she used to read and then to forward such classified material. None of that mattered to most of the voters on the East and West Coasts (and most of the large cities in between), and the fact that the former acting chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile, a pro-abortion and pro-perversity Catholic, is now promoting a book documenting Mrs. Clinton’s rigging of the 2016 Democratic presidential selection process will do nothing to get in her in the least bit of legal trouble. Oh, I should add that nothing about the Uranium One payola scheme or the payment made to a British spy by Madame Defarge’s campaign to gather salacious information about Donald John Trump will do anything to put a dent in the collective conscience of the Clinton Family Crime Syndicate or bother those who will always support them no matter what proof is offered as to their criminality.

Although some might have said to themselve at time—“This is it!—it’s curtains for the Clintons,” it was not. Remember, Chelsea Victoria Clinton Mezvinsky who turns thirty-nine this year, is positioning herself to run for public office, and she will win if she runs in her parents’ adopted “home state” of New York. No, the Clintons are a scourge. We pray for their conversion. Nevertheless, however, they remain a scourge.

After all, very few people seem to care about the fact that Hillary Rodham Diane Clinton supports baby-killing and perversity in direct defiance of the binding precepts of the Fifth, Sixth, and Ninth Commandments. Why should people care about the fact that this calculated liar lied about her private e-mail server as she conspired to keep its existence unknown to the general public and from Freedom of Information requests such as though filed by Judicial Watch? Indeed, it was the lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia that brought the whole business of Clinton's non-secured private e-mail server to light in the first place two years, although the first Freedom of Information request for Clinton's records had been made by an organization called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

The meeting, which was not illegal, was stupid and unnecessary, one of many of Trumpworld’s self-inflicted wounds, especially since the thing was a setup by Madame Defarge’s front organization, Fusion GPS (see Trump Tower Meeting Looks Increasingly Like a Setup).

Alas, no mater how entertaining President Donald Trump is and how correct he is on a number of issues, he has been his own worst enemy throughout the years, and he has left a paper trail of “deals” that are now coming back to haunt him.

Although Trump doesn’t realize it, even though the naturalists of “left” are indemnified at all turns by the mainslime media and their co-conspirators in the Deep State, the merciful God is permitting him to suffer these chastisements as a means to effect his conversion and to bring him to his knees to make reparation for his many sins. God will not be mocked. Trump’s lifelong sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments that he has committed with impunity have to be punished. We can only pray that someone is able to convince him of this fact and to convince him that there is using the likes of Michael Cohen to buy his way out of eternal damnation if he does not convert before he dies.

Machiavellianism may pay dividends in this life, but those “dividends” will the means by which the devils torment eternally those who have reaped such dividends without repenting of them and reforming their lives as members of the Catholic Church.

Mind you, the naturalists are a scream to watch as they go after each other. President Trump’s masterful letter to Speaker of the House of Representative Nancy Patricio D’Alesandro Pelosi (D-Sodom and Gomorrha by the Bay, California) cancelling the military escort for her junket to Belgium, Egypt and Afghanistan was truly hilarious. As I noted to Sharon as I was reading the part of Trump’s letter that told the horrible Pelosi that should fly commercial if she desired, “What’s Pelosi going to do? Take Kabul Air into Afghanistan.” No one can deny that the president brilliantly tweaks the noses of the privileged elite who live off the fat of the land at the taxpayers’ expense.

Still and all, however, naturalism remains naturalism, and naturalism has never been, is not now nor can ever be the foundation of a just social order. Naturalism produces more naturalism, and that is bad for men and their nations as will be demonstrated empirically later in this commentary.

Shutdown for the Wall, Not to Protect Innocent Lives in the Womb

President Donald John Trump is without any philosophical, moral or religious foundation. He is a man who lives by viscera, which is why he was fully prepared in December to sign one of those sixty-day funding bills to keep the government of the United States of America open without funding the border wall project on December 19, 2018, until Rush Limbaugh, who is turned sixty-eight years of age on January 12, 2019, among others, criticized him:

It looks like a lot of people’s worst fears may be realized and that the president is getting ready to cave on getting any money for the wall in the current budget. In fact, TheHill.com — the Capitol Hill newspaper — is claiming, quote, “Trump’s Concession Paves the Way for Lawmakers to Reach a Compromise and End This Congress,” meaning the Republican-controlled Congress, “Without a Partial Government Shutdown.” That’s been the objective, to end this Congress without a shutdown? That’s how we’re gonna define success?

It’s not how we define success. It is apparently how inside-the-Beltway defines success, (impression) “Oh, look what we did. We avoided another government shutdown! The Republicans are bowing down. “Hosanna! Hosanna! We’re saved again. We’re not gonna get blamed for a government shutdown.” Meanwhile, the border remains wide open and the Democrats are gonna be controlling the House in just a few weeks. They’re now gloating and telling the president, “You can’t get any money from anywhere else in the budget.

“We’re not gonna let you. We’re gonna make sure that you can’t build this wall. There isn’t gonna be a wall. We don’t want there to be a wall,” and apparently there’s no way. Even though we can allocate whatever money we need for criminal justice reform or Planned Parenthood or whatever the hell else liberal clause is clamoring for your tax dollars, any amount of money, need even $1.6 billion. That’s been pulled off in this deal to save a shutdown.

Not a penny above and beyond what’s already allocated is gonna be spent on securing the border of this country which is wide open still. “But we’ve gotta compromise on no government shutdown, Mr. Limbaugh. It’s a good Christmas. It’s a great day for Washington.” This is textbook. It’s a textbook example of what the Drive-By Media calls compromise. Trump gets nothing and the Democrats get everything, including control of the House in a few short weeks.

In fact, I just alluded to this, Trump’s gonna get less than nothing because this compromise strips out the $1.6 billion for the wall that the Senate Appropriations Committee had already approved weeks ago. That’s gone too. Not only, is there not gonna be five billion, there isn’t gonna be $1.6 billion that was already allocated. So it’s an even better compromise in the minds of the Drive-By Media and the denizens of the swamp. Not a penny. Forget wall. Think border security.

I still maintain that a wall is symbolic. I know a lot of people believe that the wall was actually gonna be built, and I was one of the people hoping and supporting to be built, but even without the wall, there is still the need for border security. The wall was a representative of that. There isn’t going to be a penny additional for that. Yet while we are in debt to the tune now $21 trillion we are spending money left and right on things that are in direct contravention to what the purpose of spending on the wall would be!

Now, the stock market. The way this game is played, the stock market dive… TheHill.com and the Drive-By Media are even blaming the stock market’s nosedive on Trump’s threat to shut down the government, on Trump’s wall, on trying to do something about immigration! Which is pure caca. What’s driving down the stock market is the Federal Reserve promising to raise interest rates to slow down this out of control economy, which, if you read the news, is gonna be into recession in the next three weeks; so what in the hell are we doing raising interest rates?
What we’re doing is trying to bring down the Trump administration. What they’re doing is trying to bring down the Trump administer. If they have to crash the market… Not crash it. If they have cause the market to go down, if they have to slow down the economy, it doesn’t matter. If they have to do criminal justice reform and fund Planned Parenthood and all of this stuff and not spend an additional penny on border security, then that’s what the hell is gonna be done.

Everything that happens, magically there’s a left-wing response to it. At a federal court, any amount of progress whatsoever is met immediately with left-wing opposition. They stand up and say, “Nope, you can’t do it,” and find a federal judge somewhere to say, “Nope, can’t do that, not gonna do that.” Everything gets shut down. Everything gets stopped. Except what needs to be shut down and what needs to be stopped. So it’s clear that the left, the Democrats, the Drive-By Media now turning to turn Trump’s pledge on the wall into George H. W. Bush’s “Read my lips: No new taxes.”

This is exactly what the objective has been. Trump commits to a wall; it’s part of his campaign 2016. We’ve known from the get-go they were never gonna support a wall. Everybody that’s in favor of a wall has known there wasn’t gonna be any support for it. I mentioned yesterday there’s not anybody in Washington outside of a couple members of Congress euphemistically. But I’m talking about the entire Washington establishment, the swamp, they don’t want the wall. They don’t want any part of it. They don’t want any limits on illegal immigration.

That’s why Trump was elected to bulldoze through all of that. You want to add insult to injury? The United States has pledged $10.6 billion, twice as much as has been asked for for the wall. A $10.6 billion aid package (Are you ready for it?) to Central America and southern Mexico. And you know what the theory is? The theory is that if we provide aid money to these war-torn, poverty stricken areas we can build ’em up and their people won’t want to leave.

We’ve been hearing that since 1992. That was the purpose of NAFTA. NAFTA was gonna build up all these Central American southern hemisphere hellholes. It was going to build ’em up, have roaring economies down there and their people wouldn’t want to leave. How did that work out? How many times have we given whatever amount of money to all of these hellholes in Central and South America for the express purpose we’re told of building up their economies so their people won’t want to leave, and they just continue to leave in even larger numbers and now joining caravans of thousands.

Which, by the way, have not gotten in and the caravans are starting to disband, but the caravan crowd is now demanding reparations, $50,000 per participant to leave. The caravan has wrecked Tijuana, Mexico. They haven’t found a way to get in, but that’s just short of a miracle. The Associated Press has the story today. “U.S. Pledges $10.6 Billion Aid for Central America, Southern Mexico.” You heard that right.  (Trump Got Less than Nothing, Democrats Got Everything.)

It was only after this soliloquy that the president decided not to sign a spending bill that he had been prepared to sign without getting funding for the border wall and that included extravagant funding for governments in the Americas whose leaders would have used to line their own pockets just as Kabul’s Bag Man in a Karakul Hat, Hamid Karzai, did with all the billions of dollars President George Walker Bush’s administration gave him as tribute for the “privilege” of having American military personnel fight and die in the mountainous deathtrap to all foreigners known as Afghanistan. Trump has both discussed—and then denied having discussed—amnesty as a possible for illegal aliens. One devoid of any true foundational core even on the natural level is bound to bring himself to disaster as viscera is no match for the naturalists of the false opposite of the “left” who are committed to the pursuit of an agenda that seeks total state control of human life and public policy at home and a total surrender of national sovereignty to the Judeo-Masonic forces of globalism that are preparing the way for Antichrist himself. The “left” is going to win until the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary because those on the “right” either are obsessed about not offending “swing voters,” which is why no constitutional amendment to restore full protection to the innocent preborn has ever been proposed in the Congress of the United States of America

[The principal legislative effort during the administration of President Ronald Reagan centered on efforts to pass a constitutional amendment that was introduced by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah). The Hatch Amendment would have reversed Roe v. Wade by establishing the principle that the right to permit or restrict abortion was held solely by the state legislatures, not by Federal or state courts. This fatally flawed piece of legislation conceded that a human institution, a state legislature, had the authority to permit something that was proscribed by the binding precepts of the Divine positive law and the natural law. If it had been approved by a two-thirds majority in Congress and ratified by three-fourths of the nation's state legislatures, the Hatch Amendment would have enshrined abortion as matter of legal right whose exact parameters were subject to the deliberation of state legislators. This morally repugnant legislative initiative was "hatched" by the then Monsignor James T. McHugh of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops and endorsed very strongly by the full body of American bishops, save for Bishop Joseph Sullivan of Baton Rouge, and the National Right to Life Committee, which lobbied very hard for its passage in Congress.]

This having been noted, though, the whole business of the government shutdown could have been avoided if the feckless Majority Leader of the United States Senate, Addison Mitchell McConnell (R-Kentucky), had gone “nuclear,” something that President Trump wanted him to do, and declare that the bill including border wall funding could not be filibustered (the filibuster is a parliamentary device that is unique to the United States Senate that permits at least two-fifths of its membership to block a vote on a pending piece of legislation that they cannot defeat otherwise) in the Senate, thus permitting the bill, which had been passed by the United States House of Representatives last month when it was in control of the Republican Party, to be passed by the Senate and sent to the president for his signature. McConnell did not want to do this because it is his belief that the smarmy Senate Minority Leader, Charles Schumer, would use McConnell’s precedent to end the filibuster if the Democratic Party regains control of the United States Senate.

Lost on poor Senator McConnell, who has stood firm on the president’s judicial nominees and did block President Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro’s nomination of Merrick Garland to replace the late Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America Antonin Scalia, is the simple fact that the so-called “radical left” (Bolsheviks, nihilists, anarchists, statists, globalists, Mohammedans, etc.) will demand that Schumer or his successor do so at all times if Democrats regain the White House and control of both houses of Congress in 2020 or 2024. The filibuster is going to be dead sooner or later as the “left” believes all opposition to its “revealed” truths is illegitimate and must be suppressed (see, for example, 'Starnes Country': 'Rush to Judgment' Against KY Students Because They're Seen as 'Irredeemable Deplorables' and Polish Lawmaker Invites Coving Catholic Students to Address Polish Parliament and how students at Covington Catholic High School in Covington, Kentucky, were vilified by a “Native American” activist—see Nathan Phillips Attempted to Disrupt Novus Ordo service the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Imamculate Conception and by the mainslime media when the students were innocent of any wrongdoing whatsoever, a matter that will be addressed in the next original article on this site). Addison  Mitchell McConnell simply does not want to be blamed for killing it, and the Democrats won’t look back as they roll over his body (or that of his successor as the Republican Senate leader) and forge ahead with their “progressive” agenda, and they, unlike McConnell, will have no compunction or regret about doing so as they believe in raw majoritarianism as long as they are in power.

Then again, of course, even absent considerations of the debt (see the Abortion Clock) that this nation owes to God because of the sins committed by its elected/appointed officials and citizens, the national debt stands at $21 trillion now (see U.S. Debt Clock). Democrats such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez want Medicare for everyone and a single-payer, universal “healthcare” program, and places like the People’s Republic of California are leading the way in offering free healthcare to everyone, resident and nonresident, citizen and illegal immigrant alike. There is no way that any of this ends well for the United States of America.

Alas, as mentioned just before, this Judeo-Masonic farce is simply a means of preparing for a global New World Order that has been the goal of the Illuminati and the Rothchilds, the Bilderbergers and Freemasonry for a long time. The way is being prepared for the final battle between Christ the King and Antichrist at some point in the future.

Nations That Permit the Slaughter of the Innocent Can Never Be Made Secure

Those who object to my articles on these subjects generally state that I am an “idealist,” not a “realist” who lives in the “real world.” “Realism,” some believe, requires compromises to be made with what could be accomplished under “better” circumstances. To insist on a strict adherence to objective standards of Catholic truth in an anti-Catholic world is to make the “perfect” the enemy of the merely “good,” I am told repeatedly.

As compelling as this argument may seem to many, it is based on the fallacy that it is in any way “idealistic” to point out that it is impossible to nations to be secure from foreign invasions, including the type that is taking place at the southern border of the United States of America to drain the fiscal resources of state and local municipalities and to permit hordes of drug pushers and gang members while changing the country’s electoral demographics while large numbers of citizens offend God daily by means of grievous sins that are not only unrepented but are actually celebrated as a human “right,” promoted in “education and in every quarter of the “entertainment” and protected in public law. It is not “idealism” to point out that sin is destructive of men and their nations.

Indeed, the Catholicism is the only real way to examine the world and everything in it, which is why I rely so heavily on the prophetic words of our true popes. It is not to be the proverbial “ant at the picnic” to do so as we are eyewitnesses to what happens in a world that is the product of a diabolically-inspired revolution against the Social Reign of Christ the King and that has ignored the warnings that have been given repeatedly by true and legitimate Successors of Saint Peter.

The temptation to believe that “things” will get “better” by means merely natural ignores the fact that God will not be mocked. All of the endless agitation and breathless e-mails that are sent out to “alert” people to the latest revelation about the coup against President Trump (for some of the recent news, those interested can see (FBI Investigation on Russia Was Always About Trump, Deep State Crimes Against Trump, (FBI Investigation of Trump Shows Deep State Was Worse Than We ThoughtBrazen Plot Against Trump by the Obama FBi and DOJ Continues to enabled by the a complicit mediaFBI's Investigaion of Trump as a National Security Threat is itself a Serious Danger but John Edgar Hoover Pioneered the Tactics,  FISA Shocker: DOJ Office Warned Steele Dossier Connected to Clinton  and Conspiracy of Dunces) cannot change the simple fact that the United States of America is on a trajectory of self-annihilation unless men repent, convert to the true Faith and start to make reparation for their sins.

While it is commendable for President Trump to have taken a stand in behalf of border security, although his proposed “compromise” on the issue is really just another example of amnesty by a different name, especially as Mohammedans are pouring across the southern border and leaving prayer mats on the nearby property of ranchers (see Border Rancher Finds Prayer Rugs on Property), he did not take such a stand when Congress refused to defund Planned Barrenhood during the first two years of his administration at a time when Republicans controlled both the Senate and the House of Representatives (see There Is Nothing "Pro-Life" About RyanCare).

Misleading Polls to Overstate Arguments

Most people in the United States of America and around the world do not give a thought about the daily slaughter of the innocent preborn by surgical means, and most people participate in the chemical slaughter of the innocent preborn by means of abortifacient contraceptives.

Sure, a recent poll conducted by Marist College for the Knights of Columbus indicate that sixty-five percent of those surveyed are in favor of the functional overturning of the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the case of Roe v. Wade, January 22, 1973. However, this does not mean that sixty-five percent of those surveyed are in favor of the surgical execution of babies in all circumstances without exception. One has to read the details of the following story to realize the situation is not quite as cheery some are trying to make it appear as the questions were phrased in such a way as to measure support for eroding Roe v. Wade, not overturning it.

Tuesday, the Knights of Columbus (KOC) and Marist Poll released a survey showing that almost two-thirds of Americans would like the Supreme Court to overturn the 1973 abortion Roe v. Wade decision, even if they would not advocate directly against the decision.

"Almost two-thirds, 65 percent, would like the Supreme Court to reinterpret Roe in a way that would functionally overturn it," Andrew Walther, KOC's communications and government affairs executive, told reporters on a call.

Rather than asking Americans whether they support or oppose Roe v. Wade, Marist and KOC asked about the ideal outcome of a reconsideration of the Court's original ruling. The poll asked respondents, "Which comes closest to your view of what the Supreme Court should do when it reconsiders Roe v. Wade, the 1973 ruling making abortion illegal in the United States?"

Most Americans either wanted the Court to make abortion illegal (16 percent) or to "allow states to make certain restrictions" (49 percent). Both of these outcomes would effectively overturn Roe v. Wade. (65 Percent of Americans Support Overturning Roe v. Wade.)

This is as misleading as Donald “Cardinal” Wuerl has been in denying knowledge that Father Theodore Edgar McCarrick had abused seminarians and presbyters in addition to minors (see Donald Wuerl Knew About McCarrick and He Lied About It.) The actual number of those who want to end the surgical execution of innocent babies is sixteen percent. The fact that another forty-nine are in favor of limitations imposed by state governments on the American genocide of the preborn is not news as this has been the case for some time. Many states have enacted such restrictions, which are subjection to judicial reversal in some instances and to the vagaries of the composition of state legislatures that are already beginning to manifest themselves because of cultural and demographic changes that will be discussed later in this commentary.

For the moment, however, it is sufficient to note that Republicans have control of both houses of state legislatures and the governorship in twenty-two states, Democrats control both houses of state legislatures and governorships in fourteen states and thirteen states are characterized by either a state legislature in the control of one part and a governor of another or by divided control of the state legislature (see Nebraska Legislature History). Nebraska has had a nonpartisan, unicameral legislature since 1935.

Significantly, however, twenty-six states have “trigger laws” to insure that baby-killing will remain legal if the Supreme Court of the United States of America does reverse Roe v. Wade, which I have argued is unlikely as it is my judgment that Chief Justice John Glover Roberts would vote to sustain the case on the grounds of “respecting precedent” and, to call to mind the opinion of the now-retired Associate Justice Anthony McLeod Kennedy:

Although Roe has engendered opposition, it has in no sense proven unworkable, representing as it does a simple limitation beyond which a state law is unenforceable. P. 835.

(e) The Roe rule's limitation on state power could not be repudiated without serious inequity to people who, for two decades of economic and social developments, have organized intimate relationships and made choices that define their views of themselves and their places in society, in reliance on the availability of abortion in the event that contraception should fail. The ability of women to participate equally in the economic and social life of the Nation has been facilitated by their ability to control their reproductive lives. The Constitution serves human values, and while the effect of reliance on Roe cannot be exactly measured, neither can the certain costs of overruling Roe for people who have ordered their thinking and living around that case be dismissed. Pp. 855-856. (Text of Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey.)

Here one can see how contraception, which was pushed a century ago by the likes of Margaret Sanger (see Planned Barrenhood: Evil From Its Very Inceptions) and received “theological” justification from the Anglican sect in 1930 and from the “Federal Council of Churches” in the United States of America in 1931, altered the nature of family life, modeled as it should be after the Holy Family of Nazareth, that it became an accepted fact of life in the Twentieth Century that it is both natural and commendable for married women to leave the domestic hearth to fulfill their career goals, if not eschew marriage altogether in the achievement of worldly success and power as they conduct. Such women have no time for children, which is why the surgical execution of children, Kennedy reasoned, must be available because there are times when the best laid plans of wives and fornicating women to thwart the natural end of conjugal relations “aft gang agley” (“oft go astray”).

Twenty-three states currently have one or more restrictions on surgical baby-killing while twenty-six states have no restrictions at all (and six of those states have “trigger laws” to protect surgical baby-killing in the event Roe v. Wade is overturned). While it is certainly true that more can be done legislatively at the state level than by Congress, particularly since the hapless Republicans did little other than take show votes when they controlled both the United States Senate and the United States between January 3, 2015, and January 3, 2017, during President Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro’s final two years of his second term as the American caesar, although his minions within the Deep State are still doing his bidding for him at this time, and did less than squat during the first two years of President Donald John Trump’s tenure. The feckless naturalists of the organized crime family of the naturalist “right” in the Senate could not even manage to pass a repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, thanks to the man we were told in 2008 was the “lesser of two evils,” the late United States Senator John Sidney McCain III.

There is a bit of what social scientists call “cognitive dissonance” reflected in the Knights of Columbus/Marist poll as fifty-five percent of those polled identified themselves as “pro-choice,” which itself is misleading as no one possess any right from the true God of Divine Revelation to choose to kill any innocent human being for any reason at any time from the moment of conception until the time of his natural death. This includes, of course, the “invisible” killings taking place in hospitals by means of the medical industry’s manufactured, profit-making myth of “brain death” and the subsequent vivisection of living human beings for their vital bodily organs and the killing off of the elderly, the chronically or terminally ill or anyone else said to be suffering from a “diminished” “quality of life.” No one in public life today—and I do mean no one—is opposed to these “invisible” killings. Indeed, most are fully supportive of it in the name of “compassion” and “death with dignity.”

The Knights of Columbus/Marist poll also found, quite unsurprisingly, that vast majorities of Americans support the killing of the innocent preborn in the so-called hard cases (rape, incest, life of the mother):

A full 60 percent of Democrats, 92 percent of Republicans, and 72 percent of Independents support this kind of abortion restriction.

The simple terms "pro-life" and "pro-choice" do not capture specific policy preferences or even larger views about whether or not a human fetus is life, Walther argued. (65 Percent of Americans Support Overturning Roe v. Wade.)

Excuse me, no one is “pro-life” who supports the direct, intentional killing of an innocent human being. Such a person is merely less pro-death than others. That is all. It is easy for men to live in an irrational world of cognitive dissonance in defiance of the Aristotlean principle of non-contradiction once they lose sight that the precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural are immutable and do not depend upon human acceptance for their binding force or validity. This is why the Knights of Columbus/Marist poll is very misleading. Oh, it made for some great headlines, but it has no relation to the fact that the future, humanly speaking, belongs to the new wave of atheists, socialists and barbarians who have been the brainwashed products of America’s concentration camps.

Most people alive today do not know how to reason, which is why their skulls are, quote the fictional Professor Charles Kingsley, who was portrayed in motion pictures and on television by the late John Houseman, full of mush. The rationalism of the Protestant Revolution had to give way to the emotionalism and sentimentality of Judeo-Masonic naturalism, something that has been aided and abetted by the entire ethos of conciliarism and its “official reconciliation” with the principles inaugurated by the “new era” that began with the French Revolution in 1789. The Sillon, for example, was first effort by Catholics to effect such a reconciliation before being condemned by Pope Saint Pius X in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910. The “Second” Vatican Council and the magisteria of the postconciliar “popes” have been a repudiation of Notre Charge Apostolique and a rehabilitation of the false philosophy of The Sillon as the basis of Church-State relations.

A steady dose of conciliarism’s falsehoods, which form the fabric of the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service, have convinced Catholics that one can support grave evils, including the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, and remain members of Holy Mother Church in good standing. This is why there are now fully eighty-six out of one hundred thirty-one Catholics serving in the United States House of Representatives during the 116th Congress that began on January 3, 2019, are pro-abort members of the Democratic Party, most of whom are fully supportive of socialism, statism, open-borders, perversity and every other manner of indecency. Twelve of twenty-two Catholics serving in the United States Senate now are pro-aborts, and two of those are Republicans (Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. For the proof, please see Facts abvout the Relgious Makeup of the 116th Congress.

The rotten fruit of conciliarism’s “reconciliation” with the “real world,” shall we say, is so bad that the nefarious Figlio di Sfachim, Andrew Mark Cuomo, Governor of the State of New York, who has just signed authorizing the explicit killing of preborn babies over the age of twenty-four weeks who are said to be unable to survive outside the womb  and removes abortion from the State of New York criminal code (see Cuomo Signs Bill Updating New York Baby-Killing Laws), received fifty-one percent of the Catholic vote to Republican opponent Marcus Molinaro’s forty-seven percent on November 6, 2018, as he won election for a third term with fifty-nine percent of the vote to Molinaro’s thirty-six percent (2018 NBC NBC NYS Exit Poll; Molinaro, by the way, is a Republican pro-abort who says he is "personally opposed" to abortion--Molinaro: "I'd Support Laws Strengthening  Protecting Abortion). Recently announced presidential candidate United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a pro-abortion, pro-perversity Catholic, won her second full time over challenger Chele Chiavacci Farley, with nearly sixty-eight percent of the vote. Although there is no breakdown of the percentage of Catholics who voted for her, the fact that she outpolled Figlio di Sfachim means that she got more Catholic votes than the true husband of Kerry Kennedy Cuomo and the paramour of Sandra Lee. The situation is similar in other “blue states” such as Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and, of course, California, where over three-fifths of Catholics (sixty-two percent) voted for Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton over Donald John Trump (thirty-two percent) on November 8, 2016 (2016 ABC California Exit Poll.) That’s empirical proof right there of the effects of the new conciliar order.

Accepting Empty Rhetoric Containing Nothing New Without Any Memory of Such Rhetoric in the Past

The situation is so bad at the Congressional level that just three members of the United States Congress will be addressing the 2019 March for Life at the Capitol Mall on Friday, January 18, 2019, the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter in Rome and the Commemoration of Saint Prisca, and one of those, United States Representative Daniel Lipinski is a Democrat from the State of Illinois. Gone are the days when March for Life foundress Nellie Gray, who died on at the age of eighty-eight on August 13, 2012, would parade an endless array of senators and representatives during the years when the march was held at the Ellipse on the south side of the White House. Three. Count ‘em. Three.

Some will protest that President Donald John Trump’s to veto any pro-abortion legislative that is passed by Congress is a sign of “pro-life” heroism. It is no such thing as (a) Republicans still control the United States Senate, meaning that all pro-death legislation passed by the United States House Representatives that is currently controlled by the collected assortments of socialists, anarchists, nihilists, communists and other mutants under the leadership of Nancy Patricia D’Alesandro Pelosi is dead-on-arrival in the Senate; and (b) the president has not vetoed funding for Planned Barrenhood.

What about the fact that the president addressed the March for Life via video hookup?

So what?

Ronald Wilson Reagan, who never attended the March for Life, always called Nellie Gray via the old-fangled thing called a telephone on January 22 between 1981 and 1988. The technology for a live video feed did not exist at that time, and he used several of his State of the Union addresses to discuss the necessity of restoring legal protection to the innocent preborn. This is how Reagan referenced the issue in his third State of the Union address on January 25, 1984:

During our first three years, we have joined bipartisan efforts to restore protection of the law to unborn children. Now, I know this issue is very controversial. But unless and until it can be proven that an unborn child is not a living human being, can we justify assuming without proof that it isn't? No one has yet offered such proof; indeed, all the evidence is to the contrary. We should rise above bitterness and reproach, and if Americans could come together in a spirit of understanding and helping, then we could find positive solutions to the tragedy of abortion. (President Ronald Wilson Reagan's State of the Union Address, January 25, 1984.)

President Reagan said the following in his State of the Union address on February 6, 1985, as he started his second term in office following his landslide reelection against Walter Frederick Mondale and Geraldine Anne Ferraro-Zaccaro on Tuesday, November 4, 1984:

The question of abortion grips our nation. Abortion is either the taking of a human life or it isn't. And if it is—and medical technology is increasingly showing it is—it must be stopped. It is a terrible irony that while some turn to abortion, so many others who cannot become parents cry out for children to adopt. We have room for these children. We can fill the cradles of those who want a child to love. And tonight I ask you in the Congress to move this year on legislation to protect the unborn. (President Ronald Wilson Rercenter.org/the-presidency/presidential-speeches/february-6-1985-state-union-address.)

The nation’s fortieth president mentioned the unborn briefly in his 1987 State of the Union address:

We are a nation of idealists, yet today there is a wound in our national conscience. America will never be whole as long as the right to life granted by our Creator is denied to the unborn. For the rest of my time, I shall do what I can to see that this wound is one day healed. (httpPresident Ronald Wilson Reagan's State of the Union Message, February 4, 1987.)

Reagan’s last State of the Union address was on January 25, 1988, and it included the following, flawed reference to the inviolability of innocent preborn human life:

Well, now we come to a family issue that we must have the courage to confront. Tonight, I call America—a good nation, a moral people—to charitable but realistic consideration of the terrible cost of abortion on demand. To those who say this violates a woman's right to control of her own body: Can they deny that now medical evidence confirms the unborn child is a living human being entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Let us unite as a nation and protect the unborn with legislation that would stop all Federal funding for abortion and with a human life amendment making, of course, an exception where the unborn child threatens the life of the mother. Our Judeo-Christian tradition recognizes the right of taking a life in self-defense. But with that one exception, let us look to those others in our land who cry out for children to adopt. I pledge to you tonight I will work to remove barriers to adoption and extend full sharing in family life to millions of Americans so that children who need homes can be welcomed to families who want them and love them. (httPresident Ronald Wilson Reagan's Last State of the Union Message, January 25, 1988.)

Actually, of course, the doctrine of “self-defense” can never be used to justify the direct, intentional killing of an innocent child inside of his mother’s womb. There are no “exceptions” to the binding precepts of the Fifth Commandment, something that was discussed three days ago in The American Genocide of the Innocent Preborn: Forty-Six Years of Endless Compromise and Indiffernce.) However, the point of quoting this excerpt from Ronald Wilson Reagan’s last State of the Union address is to explain that President Donald John Trump’s speech to the March for Life on Friday, January 18, 2019, contained nothing that had not been said before by President Reagan, who even put his name to a book about abortion (The Conscience of the Nation) in 1983 at the occasion of ten tenth anniversary of the decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton.

Rhetoric thrills the masses for a time, but they quickly forget what they have heard as they permit themselves to be wrapped up in the agitations of the moment, and they tend to forget that almost every seemingly “pro-life” policy or executive action adopted by a partly pro-life, partly pro-abortion can be reversed with several strokes of a men by a president who is completely committed to the destruction of the innocent preborn under cover of the law. This what William Jefferson Blythe Clinton did in 1993 and it is what Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro did in January of 2009. What is “done” by one administration can be undone by others.

This is not to disparage the quality of most President Donald John Trump’s judicial nominees. However, it is to illustrate the fact that it is a sad, sad commentary when those who call themselves “pro-life” believe that there is something to cheer when a “pro-life” president says that he is going to veto any pro-abortion that is passed by Congress when he knows full well that this is simply not going to happen. Democrats will have the same kind of “show votes” for their base of radical pro-death supporters just as Republicans did so during the Clinton and Obama administrations when they controlled one or both houses of Congress.

No, nations can never be made “great” or secure when its laws permit and its people readily commit and revel in the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, including the willful murder of innocent beings under the aegis of the medical industry’s manufactured, profit-making myth called “brain death” and the euthanizing of the chronically or terminally ill or anyone else said to be suffering from a declining “quality” of life under the aegis of “palliative care” in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, assisted living centers and, all too frequently, in the very comforts of one’s own home as one’s own family members are instructed by a “home hospice worker” to administer increasingly higher doses of drugs that are designed to make a patient “comfortable” as he is killed gradually in a manner worthy of Arsenic and Old Lace.

As a former student of mine at Saint Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, Lt. Spencer D. Colgan, NYPD (retired), noted recently:

Each of you reading this used to be in this stage of life. Unlike you, he was denied the proverbial right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness due ultimately the choice of his mother.

His father couldn’t save him, his mother wouldn’t save him, and his country denied the fact that he was a human being simply because he was on the wrong side of his mother’s belly when she made the choice to kill him.

Surprised? Why?  Back when America “was great,” (as we are currently trying to get back to this, when America was great) black persons were the first to suffer under the injustice of America’s often-times Godless, anti-human laws when such persons were not even considered human beings and were shamefully relegated to being defined as 3/5 of a human being (for purely material reasons, i.e. taxation) in the “Three Fifths Compromise” during the constitutional Convention of 1787.

Blacks then. Babies today. You and I tomorrow. It’s that simple.

Mr. Trump, with all due respect to the dignity of your office, how can America be great again if we were not really great to begin with?  It’s either Christ, or chaos.  Which one will make America great?  Let’s leave out, “again,” for now till we become great. (Lt. Spencer D. Colgan, NYPD, Retired.)

Perhaps even more to the point, though, is the fact that no country can be made great that is based on the falsehoods of Protestant rationalism and Judeo-Masonic naturalism that make belief in the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, and His Holy Church, a matter of complete indifference to men personally and to the common temporal good socially. It’s pretty easy for injustice to become institutionalized under cover of the civil law when these falsehoods serve as the foundation of an ever-illusory national order that must degenerate over time into social chaos of the sort that will be “solved” only by permanent takeover—at the august ballot box, mind you—globalists and statists who believe that the citizens exist to serve their ideological convictions and to fund their realization with their taxpayer dollars to make citizens so poor that they have to rely upon the Federal government to survive as their private property rights get restricted in such a way and so repeatedly as to constitute a de facto abolition of the Natural Law right to own private property.

Some, no doubt, will protest that Donald John Trump is the best that we can expect in these times, which is a powerful statement in and of itself as the president, no matter how well-meaning he may be, is a product—along with his fire-breathing opponents—of a world bereft of the sure guidance of the true Church in all that pertains to Faith and Morals. We are in a sorry state of affairs if Donald John Trump and his gang of Talmudic friends constitute the “best” that we can expect.

Demographics Tell the Tale of the Future

Although President Trump could win re-election on November 4, 2020, if he survives any attempt on the part of the naturalists of the false opposite of the “left” to remove him, the future of the country is bleak, and that is because of the effects of conciliarism and the demographic suicide that contraception and surgical baby-killing have wrought on the name. This is a just chastisement in and of itself.

Consider the fact that members of the so-called “Generation Z” (who makes up these categories?),  a group of people born between 1995 and 2014 (some categorize the years as between 1999 and 2015) are the least religious group in the United States of America, yes, even more irreligious than Generation X (1965 to 198) and Millennials (Generation Y, 1981-1997):

It may come as no surprise that the influence of Christianity in the United States is waning. Rates of church attendance, religious affiliation, belief in God, prayer and Bible-reading have been dropping for decades. Americans’ beliefs are becoming more post-Christian and, concurrently, religious identity is changing. Enter Generation Z: Born between 1999 and 2015, they are the first truly “post-Christian” generation.

More than any other generation before them, Gen Z does not assert a religious identity. They might be drawn to things spiritual, but with a vastly different starting point from previous generations, many of whom received a basic education on the Bible and Christianity. And it shows: The percentage of Gen Z that identifies as atheist is double that of the U.S. adult population. To examine the culture, beliefs and motivations shaping this next generation, Barna conducted a major study in partnership with Impact 360 Institute, now available in the brand new Gen Z report. In this release, we take a look at their views on faith, truth and the church in a time of growing religious apathy.

For Gen Z, “atheist” is no longer a dirty word: The percentage of teens who identify as such is double that of the general population (13% vs. 6% of all adults). The proportion that identifies as Christian likewise drops from generation to generation. Three out of four Boomers are Protestant or Catholic Christians (75%), while just three in five 13- to 18-year-olds say they are some kind of Christian (59%).

So what has led to this precipitous falling off? Barna asked non-Christians of all ages about their biggest barriers to faith. Gen Z nonbelievers have much in common with their older counterparts in this regard, but a few differences stand out. Teens, along with young adults, are more likely than older Americans to say the problem of evil and suffering is a deal breaker for them. It appears that today’s youth, like so many throughout history, struggle to find a compelling argument for the existence of both evil and a good and loving God. . . .

More than one-third of Gen Z (37%) believes it is not possible to know for sure if God is real, compared to 32 percent of all adults. On the other side of the coin, teens who do believe one can know God exists are less likely than adults to say they are very convinced that is true (54% vs. 64% all adults who believe in God). For many teens, truth seems relative at best and, at worst, altogether unknowable.

Their lack of confidence is on pace with the broader culture’s all-out embrace of relativism. More than half of all Americans, both teens (58%) and adults (62%), agree with the statement “Many religions can lead to eternal life; there is no ‘one true religion.’” There’s a sense among Gen Z that what’s true for someone else may not be “true for me”; they are much less apt than older adults (especially Boomers, 85%) to agree that “a person can be wrong about something that they sincerely believe in” (66%). For a considerable minority of teens, sincerely believing something makes it true.

At the same time, some are leaning toward sincerity as a marker for truth, more are leaning hard in the other direction. Nearly half of teens, on par with Millennials, say “I need factual evidence to support my beliefs” (46%)—which helps to explain their uneasiness with the relationship between science and the Bible. Significantly fewer teens and young adults (28% and 25%) than Gen X and Boomers (36% and 45%) see the two as complementary. (Atheism Doubles Among Generation Z.)

“Generation Z” is the product of America’s concentration camps and formerly Catholic schools under the control of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, and the influence

As can be seen from the article just above, “science,” which is nothing other than “junk science,” has become “God” to many of this country’s future voters.

Moreover, multinational corporate entities headed by the same sort of ideologues who control the government, the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist “left,” education, mainslime inventionism (sometimes called “journalism), the deathcare industry (medical industry/health insurance companies/medical “professionals), sports, which has become a captive of every falsehood that “leftists” believe must be adhered to strictly without dissent lest one be deemed a “hater,” and the adversary’s principal means of controlling the minds of the young and old alike, “entertainment.”

An article written by a naturalist enamored of the neoconservative Talmudist Norman Podhoretz explained recently how the coopting of even homeschooled children by universities and after they enter the workplace is too strong for many to resist, something that is especially true for Catholic children who are within the conciliar structures and have thus been taught a corrupted version of the Catholic Faith and who do not have the benefit of the true Sacraments if they even bother to enter a conciliar church building in the expectation of receiving them:

Norman Podhoretz was not yet a neoconservative in 1958 when he had a memorable encounter with Allen Ginsberg, already very much a radical. Podhoretz received an unexpected call one night from a woman purporting to be Jack Kerouac’s girlfriend. She told him Kerouac and Ginsberg, the latter of whom Podhoretz had known from college, wanted to have words with him about the harsh verdicts he had rendered in print on the morality of the Beats and the quality of their poetry. Podhoretz agreed to meet, and a night of verbal vitriol ensued. At the end of it, Ginsberg left Podhoretz with a threat: ‘We’ll get you through your children!’

The full tale is told in Podhoretz’s Ex Friends, and Daniel Oppenheimer revisited it in an essay for Tablet two years ago. But Ginsberg’s parting shot is worth thinking about in a different context, namely demographics. For all that younger voters are drifting to the left, cultural conservatives have taken comfort from the knowledge that the reproduction favors the right — the more religiously devout and traditionalist you are, the more children you are likely to have. And so one day the Latin Mass Catholics, for example, shall inherit the earth again. Or at least, their biological offspring will. But what if those same young men and women, by the time they come of age, wind up being the spiritual offspring of Ginsberg?

The demographic advantages of cultural conservatism can be offset by the cultural left’s dominance of education and the media, and they largely have been. At the beginning of November, Business Insider reported on findings by the data analytics firm Crowdpac that showed the ideological skew of a variety of industries by examining how employees in various fields direct their campaign contributions. The results should not surprise: academics, the entertainment industry, print media, and ‘online computer services’ — the social networks — were the most reliably left-wing groups, and no industry on the right of the graphic spread presented by BuzzFeed was even close to being as far to the right and those groups were to the left. Mining, for example, had a 4.1 conservative ideological score. The entertainment industry and academics scored as 7.1 and 6.9 on the liberal side. Academia and Hollywood are virtual vacuums as far as conservatives are concerned.

A glance at another set of numbers might suggest the impact that the imbalance in academia has: Pew has reported that Americans with higher levels of education have an increasingly pronounced tilt toward the Democratic party. Indeed, the organization has found ‘the widest educational gap in partisan identification and leaning seen at any point in more than two decades of Pew Research Center surveys.’ But a point of historical fact complicates the picture. Although academics have been left-wing for decades now, within the recent political past majorities of college graduates favored the Republican party. Even Americans with postgraduate education favored the Republican party as recently as 2002. Events obviously matter, as do personalities: the GOP loses ground steadily among Americans with postgraduate experience after the Iraq War begins, and the gap widens considerably under Trump. College graduates evidently have an aversion to Trump as well, to judge from Pew’s graphs. At the same time, as is well known by now, Americans without college degrees have become more supportive of the GOP.

Trump ran as the anti-Bush in the 2016 Republican nominating contest, but Pew’s numbers suggest that educated Americans dislike both of these variations on the GOP brand. (As well as the variations on Bushism on offer in 2008 and 2012.) That suggests a pretty clear underlying ideological shift, not just away from an unpopular war or a controversial president, but toward the Democratic party. What might the nature of that shift be? It’s most likely cultural and meta-economic. The Democratic party now appeals to people who are moderately economically conservative and firmly socially liberal. No one should mistake the Democrats for a small-l libertarian party — they have no equivalent to Ron Paul — but even the welfarist and regulatory policies they prefer today are not too alarming to the most powerful segments of the business community. The pharmaceutical industry happens to heavily favor the Democrats, according to Crowdpac, while ‘hedge funds and private capital’ are nearly neutral but with a slight tilt toward the Democrats.

Republicans made big gains among Americans with only high-school education or less beginning around 2010 — the Tea Party and Trump both appealed to this demographic. What they have in common is outsiderdom and a populist style. Democrats are now the insider party — the yuppie party, as well as the Ginsberg party. (Norman Podhoretz, of course, broke with his son’s generation of neocons to support Trump — John Podhoretz and Bill Kristol remain NeverTrumpers.)

The trouble with this, for Republicans and cultural conservatives both, is that even success at the ballot box will not check the consolidation of left-wing social power. The opinion elite, educators and the media, shape the environment in which business takes place, and in which business people themselves are formed. Cultural conservatives can home school, they can send their children to Hillsdale or Christendom or Grove City College — but where will they work when they graduate? Even pizza companies must follow the unwritten laws laid down by the opinion police. The insider left, in its new form, has strategies to win at the cultural, economic, and political levels, each of which reinforces the others. The right can barely hold its own in politics and is without any cultural leverage over economics. The Tea Party and Trump succeeded at least in channeling the great popular anger at the new insider left, but the deplorable Americans on whom they’ve relied are scheduled for extinction by opioids and economic euthanasia. Conservatives can’t wish their plight away — they can only take a stand on the ground they already occupy in politics, while they turn their minds to nexus of cultural and economic power that is their greatest challenge today. (httCultural Conservatism Being Killed by Demographics and Corporate Pressures/)

The author of this article is quite correct as far as he is able to go. What he does not realize is that this is the result of the lack of a lingua franca, if you will, produced by the Catholic Faith. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ wants men to be of one mind and one heart with each other as believing members of Holy Mother Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order.

The devil knows this, which is why he has raised up a new class of Roman caesars and caesarettes and a new class of Jacobins/Bolsheviks, each of whom has the full support of Jorge Mario Bergoglio and his fellow Jacobins/Bolsheviks within the counterfeit church of conciliarism, who hate the true Faith and want to suppress the Holy Name of Jesus from public view and to coerce anyone who professes this Name above all names into submission. One of the chief means of doing this to attack Catholicism openly while showing due deference to all false religions and even quite openly to the adversary himself. An unwritten “commandment” of these fascists is that Mohammedanism is beyond reproach at a time believing Mohammedans are making more and more inroads into elected and appointed positions at all levels of government (national, state, local):

Many of you are familiar with a couple of congressional seats that were picked up by Muslim women and the first Muslim state attorney general put into office in Minnesota.  What you may not realize is just how many political offices were filled by electing Muslims in 2018.  Even more concerning is the high percentage of Muslims voting and their openness to promote the fact that they want to “change” our culture and society.

First, the information comes from JETPAC, which stands for Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center.  According to their Mission Statement:

Jetpac (Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center) seeks to build a strong American Muslim political infrastructure and increase our community’s influence and engagement.

One wonders if some of those tools involve voter fraud, especially after what we witnessed in Minnesota.

Let’s break down the Muslim wins from federal to the local level, and then we’ll sort them by states.

(How Many Muslims Won Office in 2018? The Numbers May Shock You )

False religions that deny the Most Blessed Trinity and, of courrse, the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, are in particular favor these days, something that is yet another way that the the combined forces of Judeo-Masonic naturalism are being used by the adversary to prepare for the way for the coming of Antichrist.

One should also remember that President Donald John Trump won the presidency on November 8, 2016, without winning a majority of the popular vote cast for president. Indeed, only one Republican, President George Walker Bush, has done so since Dubya’s late “Poppy,” then Vice President George Herbert Walker Bush, defeated Michael Stanley “M-1” Dukakis on Tuesday, November 8, 1988. Trump won the presidency because he won more electoral votes than did Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton, and he did so by winning several states (Pennsylvania, 64,292, Michigan, 48,714, Wisconsin, 22,748) by very slim margins, something that he may not be able to do in 2020 depending on what happens between now and then and upon which Bolsehvik/mutant/statist/globalist/pro-abort, pro-perversity/nihilist/anarchist/environmentalist winds up getting nominated by the organized crime family of the naturalist “left.”

We are not meant to live in this kind of endless agitation, which is used by the adversary to convince the masses that there is some kind of secular salvation on the naturalist “right” or the naturalist “left.” Indeed, a recent report demonstrates that many of those who go to Trump’s rallies are “unchurched” and look to the president as a revivalist preacher who gives them the sort of “lift” they don’t get elsewhere (Why the Unchurched Flock to Trump/). As I have said for decades in my college classrooms even in the years (1973-1986) when I was enamored of the founding principles before becoming disabused of them and corrected my erroneous ways, most Americans believe in The Illusion of Secular Salvation [2001].

We have not been baptized and confirmed to bear witness to Donald John Trump and his visceral ways. We have been baptized and confirmed to bear witness to Christ the King and His Catholic Church.  Why, why, why is it so difficult for believing Catholics to accept these truths:

Just as Christianity cannot penetrate into the soul without making it better, so it cannot enter into public life without establishing order. With the idea of a God Who governs all, Who is infinitely Wise, Good, and Just, the idea of duty seizes upon the consciences of men. It assuages sorrow, it calms hatred, it engenders heroes. If it has transformed pagan society--and that transformation was a veritable resurrection--for barbarism disappeared in proportion as Christianity extended its sway, so, after the terrible shocks which unbelief has given to the world in our days, it will be able to put that world again on the true road, and bring back to order the States and peoples of modern times. But the return of Christianity will not be efficacious and complete if it does not restore the world to a sincere love of the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. In the Catholic Church Christianity is Incarnate. It identifies Itself with that perfect, spiritual, and, in its own order, sovereign society, which is the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ and which has for Its visible head the Roman Pontiff, successor of the Prince of the Apostles. It is the continuation of the mission of the Savior, the daughter and the heiress of His Redemption. It has preached the Gospel, and has defended it at the price of Its blood, and strong in the Divine assistance and of that immortality which has been promised it, It makes no terms with error but remains faithful to the commands which  it has received, to carry the doctrine of Jesus Christ to the uttermost limits of the world and to the end of time, and to protect it in its inviolable integrity. Legitimate dispenser of the teachings of the Gospel it does not reveal itself only as the consoler and Redeemer of souls, but It is still more the internal source of justice and charity, and the propagator as well as the guardian of true liberty, and of that equality which alone is possible here below. In applying the doctrine of its Divine Founder, It maintains a wise equilibrium and marks the true limits between the rights and privileges of society. The equality which it proclaims does not destroy the distinction between the different social classes. It keeps them intact, as nature itself demands, in order to oppose the anarchy of reason emancipated from Faith, and abandoned to its own devices. The liberty which it gives in no wise conflicts with the rights of truth, because those rights are superior to the demands of liberty. Not does it infringe upon the rights of justice, because those rights are superior to the claims of mere numbers or power. Nor does it assail the rights of God because they are superior to the rights of humanity. (Pope Leo XIII, A Review of His Pontificate, March 19, 1902.)

But, on the contrary, by ignoring the laws governing human nature and by breaking the bounds within which they operate, the human person is lead, not toward progress, but towards death. This, nevertheless, is what they want to do with human society; they dream of changing its natural and traditional foundations; they dream of a Future City built on different principles, and they dare to proclaim these more fruitful and more beneficial than the principles upon which the present Christian City rests.

No, Venerable Brethren, We must repeat with the utmost energy in these times of social and intellectual anarchy when everyone takes it upon himself to teach as a teacher and lawmaker - the City cannot be built otherwise than as God has built it; society cannot be setup unless the Church lays the foundations and supervises the work; no, civilization is not something yet to be found, nor is the New City to be built on hazy notions; it has been in existence and still is: it is Christian civilization, it is the Catholic City. It has only to be set up and restored continually against the unremitting attacks of insane dreamers, rebels and miscreantsOmnia instaurare in Christo.

Here we have, founded by Catholics, an inter-denominational association that is to work for the reform of civilization, an undertaking which is above all religious in character; for there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact. The new Sillonists cannot pretend that they are merely working on “the ground of practical realities” where differences of belief do not matter. Their leader is so conscious of the influence which the convictions of the mind have upon the result of the action, that he invites them, whatever religion they may belong to, “to provide on the ground of practical realities, the proof of the excellence of their personal convictions.” And with good reason: indeed, all practical results reflect the nature of one’s religious convictions, just as the limbs of a man down to his finger-tips, owe their very shape to the principle of life that dwells in his body. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

Most Catholics in the United States of America were recruited by Antichrist to be his apologists precisely because of the "reconciliation" that Archbishop John Carroll and those who followed him made with the heresy of "religious liberty" as a "protection" of the life of the Catholic Church in a pluralistic society.

Most Catholics thus have been completely unaware that the very thing they exalted as a "protection" was, in truth, a trap to accustom them to think, speak and act as members of any Judeo-Masonic lodge, that is, naturalistically. And it was this very trap, which had different variations in Europe, of course, that helped to ensnare the minds of Modernists at home and abroad into becoming apologists of Judeo-Masonry in order to speak of that mythical "civilization of love" rather than to build up the Catholic City.

In other words, sober up as it is either Christ or chaos. Behold the chaos in which we live because our Divine King does not reign over men and their nations.

Another Prophetic Voice from the Nineteenth Century: Father Henry James Coleridge

Father Henry James Coleridge, who was born in 1822 and converted to the Holy Faith in 1856, a little over a decade after the conversion of Father William Frederick Faber, used a series of sermons between 1860 and the time of his death in 1893 to comment on how men and their nations were being infected by toxic ideologies. Father Coleridge was particularly concerned about the rise of what we would call today ‘fake science” as a new “religion” of the miseducated elite, and he explained what the results of such a “religion” would be for what he called gluttonous countries of the United States of America, England and France. The excerpts below come from his sermon on "The Days of Noe":

I have been trying to point out to you, dear brethren in our Lord, the resemblance which exists, as to many remarkable features in both, between the days in which we live, and the days which, if you Lord be not a false prophet, will be at the end of the world immediately before His coming to judge the whole human race. You have seen, in the first place, that we live in the presence of a false popular creed, the influence of which is spreading every day, (Darwinism) and is likely to spread further and further. This false creed, with those over whom it prevails, will certainly account for the strange feature of the last days which our Lord mentions, the indifference of the men of that time to the signs of His coming. It will account for that indifference, because it will destroy in their minds all the principles, doctrines, and feelings which could make them otherwise that indifferent. Such a creed, whether it survive to the last days or not, is at least like that false belief which will then prevail(Father Henry James Coleridge, S.J.. Discourses on the Latter Days, 1883, pp. 77-91. Published by St. Pius X Press.)

Although the ideology of Darwinism was then its early years, Father Coleridge understood that that evolutionism was designed to replace even generic Christianity as the foundation of social thought and popular culture. Evolutionism denies Special Creation in favor of a disproved ideology that has convinced most people alive today that human beings are descended from apes. We have been eyewitnesses to the rotten fruit of this disproved ideology as those who believe that they are descended from apes and do not have human natures wounded by Original Sin will come to act like apes over the course of time. The empirical proof for this is visible to anyone who can see the world through the eyes of the true Faith as one shops anywhere these days and encounters heavily tattooed people who speak in guttural tones and lack even simple decency on the natural level. So many people today are totally self-absorbed and believe that the word “hygiene” to refers to how they might greet a man named “Eugene” (“Hi, Gene.”) Dirty, unkempt people abound in our world, and those who are just the ones holding public office, mind you, and this is to say nothing about foul, offensive language full of immodest speech and vulgar profanities are uttered publicly by tattooed-bedecked parents with dyed hair in front of their grossly overweight children with Mohawk haircuts.

The ideology of evolutionism dispenses with belief in Original Sin, Our Lord’s Redemptive Act on the wood of the Holy Cross, the necessity of saving one’s soul as members of the Catholic Church and, ultimately, all thought of the Particular and General Judgments. It has been one of the many means—along with Protestantism and the panoply of naturalistic errors that stem from Judeo-Masonry—of promoting a thoroughly Godless world populated by heathens whose god are their bellies and whose glory is to be found their shameless behavior as they have no sense of personal shame.

Darwinism was an application of the Hegelian falsehood of the “evolution” of philosophical ideas by means of the dialectical principle as the first idea (thesis) contains within itself the seeds of its own contradiction (antithesis) to the created world. Hegel contended that the clash between the thesis and the antitheses produces a synthesis that will lead ultimately to the emergence of what Hegel said would be the “ideal spirit.” Hegel’s false system of “philosophical” evolution has become the basis of modern “thought” and cultural praxis.

Karl Marx adapted Hegelianism, saying that he was turning Hegel’s system “right side up” by denying the existence of the human soul and thus reducing the entirety of the world to mere physical matter that evolves according to what he called the principle of dialectical materialism as the clash of competing economic classes and interests would result inevitably in the stage of “ideal communism” when “history would end and man would begin.”

All forms of evolutionism are anthropomorphic, that is, man-centered, and are based on the falsehood that men and their societies are perfectible over the course of time. Poverty, suffering, war and injustice can be eliminated “scientifically” as the species “evolves.” It is this false belief that is taught with religious fervor in schools, universities, colleges, professional schools and even seminaries without question. Truth can never be known as man and the world around him “evolves” to such an extent that what was true once can be false in the future.

Father Denis Fahey explained that the attempt to eliminate any thought of Original Sin from the minds of men predated Darwinism as it was the active goal of Freemasonry to do so: The Mystical City of Christ in the Modern World:

To the triumph of those ideals in the modern world, the Masonic denial of original sin and the Rousseauist dogma of the natural goodness of man have contributed not a little. The dogma of natural goodness signifies that man lived originally in a purely natural paradise of happiness and goodness and that, even in our present degraded state, all our instinctive movements are good. We do not need grace, for nature can do for what grace does. In addition, Rousseau holds that this state of happiness and goodness, of perfect justice and innocence, of exemption from servile work and suffering, is natural to man, that is, essentially demanded by our nature. Not only then is original sin nonexistent, not only do we not come into the world as fallen sons of the first Adam, bearing in us the wounds of our fallen nature, is radically anti-natural. Suffering and pain have been introduced by society, civilization and private property. Hence we must get rid of all these and set up a new form of society. We can bet back the state of the Garden of Eden by the efforts of our own nature, without the help of grace. For Rousseau, the introduction of the present form of society, and of private property constitute the real Fall. The setting up of a republic based on his principles will act as a sort of democratic grace which will restore in its entirety our lost heritage. In a world where the clear teaching of the faith of Christ about the supernatural order of the Life of Grace has become obscured, but were men are still vaguely conscious that human nature was once happy, Rousseau’s appeal acts like an urge of homesickness. We need not be astonished, then, apart from the question of Masonic-Revolutionary organization and propaganda, at the sort of delirious enthusiasm which takes possession of men at the thought of a renewal of society. Nor need we wonder that men work for the overthrow of existing government and existing order, in the belief that they are not legitimate forms of society. A State not constructed according to Rosseauist-Masonic principles is not a State ruled by laws. It is a monstrous tyranny, and must be overthrown in the name of "Progress" and of the "onward march of democracy.’ All these influences must be borne in mind as we behold, since 1789, the triumph in one country after another or Rousseauist-Masonic democracy. (Father Denis Fahey, The Mystical Body of Christ in the Modern World.)

As Pope Leo XIII noted in Rerum Novarum, May 15, 1891, men must be plunged into the darkness of error and thus prone to worship of the passing things of this earth once they lose sight of futurity:

But the Church, with Jesus Christ as her Master and Guide, aims higher still. She lays down precepts yet more perfect, and tries to bind class to class in friendliness and good feeling. The things of earth cannot be understood or valued aright without taking into consideration the life to come, the life that will know no death. Exclude the idea of futurity, and forthwith the very notion of what is good and right would perish; nay, the whole scheme of the universe would become a dark and unfathomable mystery. The great truth which we learn from nature herself is also the grand Christian dogma on which religion rests as on its foundation -- that, when we have given up this present life, then shall we really begin to live. God has not created us for the perishable and transitory things of earth, but for things heavenly and everlasting; He has given us this world as a place of exile, and not as our abiding place. As for riches and the other things which men call good and desirable, whether we have them in abundance, or are lacking in them -- so far as eternal happiness is concerned -- it makes no difference; the only important thing is to use them aright. Jesus Christ, when He redeemed us with plentiful redemption, took not away the pains and sorrows which in such large proportion are woven together in the web of our mortal life. He transformed them into motives of virtue and occasions of merit; and no man can hope for eternal reward unless he follow in the blood-stained footprints of his Savior. "If we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him." Christ's labors and sufferings, accepted of His own free will, have marvelously sweetened all suffering and all labor. And not only by His example, but by His grace and by the hope held forth of everlasting recompense, has He made pain and grief more easy to endure; "for that which is at present momentary and light of our tribulation, worketh for us above measure exceedingly an eternal weight of glory." (Pope Leo XIII, Rerum Novarum, May 15, 1891.)

Obviously, readers of this site know that Hegelianism and Darwinism were foundational principles of Modernism’s condemned, philosophically absurd precept of dogmatic evolutionism. One of the chief proponents of this dogmatic evolutionism in recent times has been the disciple of the Hegelian named Father Hans Urs von Balthazar, Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who uses the label “hermeneutic of continuity” to make it appear that his beliefs are in some way different than those condemned by Pope Saint Pius X in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, which they are not. (Bergoglio, of course, could care less for justifying his embrace of heresy and error as he simply does and says what he wants while trying to make it appear that his is a “true” and “simplified” view of the Gospel. Then again, Bergoglio is living proof of what happens when one believes in evolutionism as he is but an ape of everything false, ugly, wicked and perverted.) For a good summary of the scientific facts debunking evolutionism, please see the late Gerard Keane’s Creation Rediscovered: Evolution and the Importance and the Importance of the Origins Debate.)

The next excerpt from Father Coleridge’s sermon discussed the similarities between the decay of what he called the Christian world in the late-Nineteenth Century and those of the latter days that had been prophesied by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ:

In the second place, you have seen that the present condition of the Christian populations throughout the world, taken as a whole, abundantly justifies the application to our own times of those mournful words of our Lord, in which He predicted that in the latter days there would be a great decay among the many of true Catholic and Christian charity. We tested this by the opinions and doctrines prevalent over large portions of the Christian world, whereby the necessity of Christian communities are paralyzed by that disease which is the special antagonist and death of charity – that is, the sin of schism. Again, we saw last Sunday that our Lord describes the political state of our own times in the very same words in which He described that of the last age of the world, when nation rising against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And, if any one of these features of the last days which are to be found in our own time strikes us as pointing to the conclusion that we may at any moment have the reign of the last persecution, the reign of Antichrist, and the final judgment upon us, surely the combination of these several features together points with still greater force to the same conclusion. There still remain more features than one of resemblance between our own age and the last to which your attention must be drawn. I shall speak of one of these to-day, and draw from its consideration one or two practical reflections.

The first of these features of the last days of which I have to speak, is one of which we certainly have a very strong and remarkable anticipation in our own time. I mean the absorbing and engrossing manner in which material pleasures and enjoyments hold the souls of the mass of mankind in captivity, dulling them and blinding them, as our Lord says of the men of His own generation, making their hearts gross and heavy, so that they have not the power, it may almost be said, to perceive the truths which God sets before them in His Church. In the passage from which the text is taken, our Lord selects two times from the whole of human history, and He says that it shall be in the latter days as it was in those times. Those were times of great catastrophes, of great punishments of God on the sinfulness of man, when the chastisement took men by surprise because they were so engrossed in the enjoyments of life. It may be that the chief point, so to say, of the comparison in our Lord's words lies in the suddenness of the chastisement, but still it cannot be without a meaning that He should have chosen those two periods for the purpose of His warnings to us. For the suddenness of the chastisement which will fall on the last generation of mankind will not consist in the absence of warnings beforehand, but in the dulness and blindness of men to warnings, however startling. Such dulness and such blindness, as we know well from Scripture, are the inevitable results of engrossments in temporal and material goods, and when this engrossment is possible then are its fruits possible, as we see in those times which our Lord speaks. They were times of enormous degradation and licentiousness, but that degradation and that licentiousness were brought on by the fearful engrossment of those who were the subjects of God's chastisements in the pleasures of the senses and the enjoyments of this world. The first of these two periods is the period before the universal Deluge, and the second is the time of Lot, when God destroyed the Cities of the Plain on account of their loathsome and unnatural sensuality. If these times have in common the feature of the entire unexpectedness of the calamity which then fell on men, they have also that other feature in common, of the excessive sensual enjoyment of those who perished in those catastrophes(Father Henry James Coleridge, S.J.. Discourses on the Latter Days, 1883, pp. 77-91. Published by St. Pius X Press.)

Loathsome and unnatural sensuality rule the day now, and anyone who opposes the agenda of the homosexual collective is branded as a bigot and “hater.” The members of the organized crime family of the naturalist “right” have surrendered to the “left” on this issued, and it must be remembered by those who are reflexively uncritical supporters of President Donald John Trump that the forty-fifth president of the United States of America has appointed numerous sodomites to his administration, including the “married” Richard Grenell as the American ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany  Pope Pius IX explained that the heresy of religious indifferntism and religious liberty would result in the triumph of materialism over all that is supernatural:

But, although we have not omitted often to proscribe and reprobate the chief errors of this kind, yet the cause of the Catholic Church, and the salvation of souls entrusted to us by God, and the welfare of human society itself, altogether demand that we again stir up your pastoral solicitude to exterminate other evil opinions, which spring forth from the said errors as from a fountain. Which false and perverse opinions are on that ground the more to be detested, because they chiefly tend to this, that that salutary influence be impeded and (even) removed, which the Catholic Church, according to the institution and command of her Divine Author, should freely exercise even to the end of the world -- not only over private individuals, but over nations, peoples, and their sovereign princes; and (tend also) to take away that mutual fellowship and concord of counsels between Church and State which has ever proved itself propitious and salutary, both for religious and civil interests.

For you well know, venerable brethren, that at this time men are found not a few who, applying to civil society the impious and absurd principle of "naturalism," as they call it, dare to teach that "the best constitution of public society and (also) civil progress altogether require that human society be conducted and governed without regard being had to religion any more than if it did not exist; or, at least, without any distinction being made between the true religion and false ones." And, against the doctrine of Scripture, of the Church, and of the Holy Fathers, they do not hesitate to assert that "that is the best condition of civil society, in which no duty is recognized, as attached to the civil power, of restraining by enacted penalties, offenders against the Catholic religion, except so far as public peace may require." From which totally false idea of social government they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an "insanity," viz., that "liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way." But, while they rashly affirm this, they do not think and consider that they are preaching "liberty of perdition;" and that "if human arguments are always allowed free room for discussion, there will never be wanting men who will dare to resist truth, and to trust in the flowing speech of human wisdom; whereas we know, from the very teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, how carefully Christian faith and wisdom should avoid this most injurious babbling."

And, since where religion has been removed from civil society, and the doctrine and authority of divine revelation repudiated, the genuine notion itself of justice and human right is darkened and lost, and the place of true justice and legitimate right is supplied by material force, thence it appears why it is that some, utterly neglecting and disregarding the surest principles of sound reason, dare to proclaim that "the people's will, manifested by what is called public opinion or in some other way, constitutes a supreme law, free from all divine and human control; and that in the political order accomplished facts, from the very circumstance that they are accomplished, have the force of right." But who, does not see and clearly perceive that human society, when set loose from the bonds of religion and true justice, can have, in truth, no other end than the purpose of obtaining and amassing wealth, and that (society under such circumstances) follows no other law in its actions, except the unchastened desire of ministering to its own pleasure and interests? (Pope Pius IX, Quanta Cura, December 8, 1864.)

Men prefer to wallow in their pleasures and to accumulate wealth and “toys” as they waste their time on vain amusements. They are as immune to the warning signs of a decaying society today as were the men at the time of the Flood and destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha. This is eminently understandable as most so-called Scripture scholars have “de-mythologized” Holy Writ, and this work of de-mythology has been promoted with the great glee in Catholic seminaries in the control of the counterfeit church of conciliarism and by the conciliar “popes,” especially the German Hegelian and rationalist, Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, and his successor, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who promotes a de-mythologized view of Holy Writ that is a heretical rejection of the inerrancy of Sacred Scripture, every word of which was written under the Divine inspiration of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost. Bergoglio and his Jacobin/Boleshevik comrades have done this specifically to justify a de facto endorsement of divorce and remarriage without a conciliar decree of nullity and of a “ministry” to those engaged in sodomy and related vices.

Father Coleridge explained that those who ignore God’s warnings, including those given by His Co-Equal, Co-Eternal Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, bring themselves and their nations to destruction:

With regard to the antediluvian world, there is this feature besides, that God undoubtedly warned the race of mankind that His judgments were about to come on them. It appears from the Scripture account that the ark took a hundred years to build, and that during that time Noe was a preacher of repentance. We know but little indeed of those marvellous days, when human life, as the Scripture tells us, was so long, but if that were so, it would be quite enough to account for the forgetfulness of the things of God and of the soul, and for the extreme profligacy of which we also read of the anteldiluvian. Alas! So it is. If life in our days could be prolonged for twice or thrice its ordinary span, it would more probably be for the greater misery that for the greater happiness of mankind. And when we are told, as we are times told in Scriptures, that God has shortened the days of the ordinary human lifetime, it is certain that He has done so in pity rather than in anger. Then also, the antediluvians seem to have dwelt in the very fairest region of the earth, they seem to have been more full of natural knowledge and of acquired skill in the use of the resources of enjoyment and physical wellbeing that those who came after them, and it is very likely indeed that their numbers were not such as to cause that struggle for existence which is now the lot of the populations of so many countries of the world, in which the great enjoyment of the good things of the earth is not yet the free inheritance of the many. At all events, they were so fearfully and outrageously corrupt, morally and socially, that the sacred writer tells us that their wickedness was so great, that it made God repent in His heart that He had created them. Such was the population of the earth, or of those parts of it then inhabited by man, on whom the great destruction of the Flood came like a thief in the night.

As to the other period and generation of which our Lord speaks, and to which, in its heedlessness and unwatchfulness, He compares the men of the last days, why need I speak? Sodom and Gomorrha, the Cities of the Plain – the very name is synonymous with everything that is most foul and licentious, even to the degradation of our human nature. The land in which they dwelt was one of unexampled beauty and fertility. We are told in the book of Genesis, that “the country about Jordan was watered throughout before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, as the paradise of the Lord, and like Egypt as when one comes to Segur.” (Gen. Xiii. 10)  And as the Flood had been brought on by list, so also was it with the destruction of these fair cities and their wicked inhabitants. Here, then, we find also these two features, immense material enjoyment and the most intense moral degradation. We are not told that the people of these cities were directly warned of the chastisement which they were bringing on themselves, but, at all events, they had had for some time resident among them a chosen servant of God Lot, the sister's son of Abraham, of whom St. Peter speaks as if he had been a witness to virtue and morality, “oppressed by the injustice and lewd conversation of the wicked, for in sight and hearing he was just, dwelling among them, who day by day vexed the just soul with ungodly works.” (2 St. Peter ii 7, 8.)  So that if they had not a direct warning, they had the witness of a holy life among them to reproach them for their profound foulness of lust. And we may daily suppose that if they were not warned by any more direct signs or predictions of their coming destruction, it was because they were so deeply engrossed in their sensuality as not to be capable of conversation, or of arousing, by any such means, as it is indeed the characteristic of men who are given to those enormous sins of lust, to be incapable of compunction, and beyond the reach of the most startling warnings of Providence.   (Father Henry James Coleridge, S.J.. Discourses on the Latter Days, 1883, pp. 77-91. Published by St. Pius X Press.)

We have arrived at the days of the sort that Father Coleridge did not believe existed in his time. Indeed, we have exceeded the lusts of the pagan Romans and the statism of its ceasars, and we are making Sodom and Gomorrha look like the Victorian England in which Father Coleridge lived all but the first fifteen years of his life.

The excerpt from Father Coleridge’s sermon above describes most men alive today, including most who adhere to the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist “left,” including most such true deplorables in the two houses of Congress, and many within the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist “right,” including President Trump himself, who is without remorse for any of notoriously scandalous personal behavior and his entirely unbothered about the fact that he has undercut his own credibility by saying different things at different times, including his denial that he knew of consigliere Cohen’s arrangement to pay hush money to Stephanie Clifford, which shifted to a narrative that there was nothing illegal about it, which is true enough. Why, then, lie about the matter to begin with and thus hand one’s vengeful political opponents and special counsel intent on removing him from office?

Those who wantonly defy the immutable laws of the good God and regularly and unrepentantly offend against holy purity and honest speech are to be found on the “left” and on the “right” and everywhere else in-between in our topsy-turvy world of relativism, utilitarianism, pragmatism, ecumenism, statism, collectivism, globalism and just plain Machiavellianism.

Father Coleridge’s sermon, which must have been riveting to hear in person, continued to elaborate on how Our Lord’s warnings applied to his own time over one hundred thirty years ago now:

Now I have already said that the direct point of the comparison between the days of which we are speaking, and the days at the end of the world, which is drawn by our Lord, lies in the unexpectedness of the destruction which fell upon them, and which will fall on the men of the last days. But our Lord's description points also to the resemblance in moral and social matters which shall be found between these periods. For He describes them in His own merciful way, as eating and drinking, and marrying and giving in marriage, that is, as being occupied in the ordinary enjoyments and rejoicing of this world, without a fear of the coming judgment. And we know from experience that, when men do these things which our Lord names without any thoughts of God, and of His laws, they indulge in every sensual pleasure and lust without remorse or fear. And what is required to make any period of the world's history like, in this respect, to the two periods her named by our Lord, is not so much necessarily that it shall be a period of loathsome sensuality, as that it should be a period in which the common goods and enjoyments of life are so engrossing to the majority of the population, as to make them entirely heedless of Divine warnings and utterly unprepared for a doom which is hanging over them.

And now, my brethren, let us look around us, and we shall certainly find features in our own times, which may at least prepare us for the state of things of which our Lord speaks. I am not about to say whether or not the men of our time are equal to the antediluvians and to the men of Sodom and Gomorrha in the extent of their unbridled licentiousness. That may or may not be the case, thought if it were true that we at approached to the excesses of those days, it would be one of the most disgraceful charges that could be fixed upon us. For we live in the light of the pure doctrine of our Lord; we live when the work of the Church has been upon the world for centuries; we live with the example and character of Jesus and Mary before us, reflected to us from the lives of thousands and thousands of saints, men and women like ourselves. What is quite certain is, that we are far more luxurious than our forefathers, and that the possibility of an almost boundless luxury is far more nearly within the reach of the generality of men, that ever before since the introduction of the religion of our Lord into the world. This is, in great measure, due to the advance of our knowledge of the physical world and of the treasures which it concealed from those who went before us. If we ask ourselves in what chiefly has the progress of physical knowledge marked itself on the history of the human race, we are obliged to answer, in two things chiefly – in the multiplication of the powers of men to destroy one another, and in the multiplication and generation of the means of enjoyment. These are the chief uses which we make of the revelation of the resources with which God has provided the world in which we live. We apply our knowledge to the comforts and pleasures of life. The treasures of the earth's surface the stores of metals and minerals, and the other gifts of nature to the several climates and countries of the globe, are at our command to a degree hitherto unknown. Earth and air and water contribute now to our enjoyments far more than ever before. Consider in a great city like this, how every portion of the world send its contribution to furnish our tables or to adorn our dwellings – fruits, dainties, rarities, what can we not have, almost for the asking? The old satirists of Rome are full of the way in which the tables of the great gluttons of those times were supplied from every country known to the masters of the world, but we have a far greater command than they of the resources on which their luxury fattened. And, my brethren, I do not think that any Roman or Egyptian glutton in palace or villa the most luxurious of those days, gave himself more entirely to his enjoyment of what he had, in the spirit of those words quoted by St. Paul, “Let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die,” than do men and women in the midst of Christian England or Catholic France or civilized America. And if a creed such as that of which I have had to speak takes possession of men who can command so many of the gifts of nature of which their ancestors were ignorant, what can we possible expect but that they will give themselves body and soul to sensual enjoyments, it may perhaps be with less brutality and grossness as to outward appearance than those of old giants of sensuality, but still with the same entire absence of all check and control except that of what is possible to them and what is not? And in our case there is this difference between the sensualists of the day and that of the old Roman Empire, that in those days the extravagance of indulgence was confined to the few, while the tendency of modern times is to open the door of physical enjoyments far wider than it has ever before been opened, and whole classes can now indulge themselves where before only a few here and there could do so. The decay of religion and the growth of the creed which tells men they have no God and no responsibility, go hand in hand with the growth of the facilities of gross enjoyment for the great mass of mankind in many countries of the world.

And here also, my brethren, we have an evil or a feature which is not likely in the course of time, taking into consideration the natural and probable course of events, to grow less prominent, but rather more so. The popularization of physical enjoyments and luxuries by means of the progress of the age is a thing of which we are more likely to see rapid strides in advance than any retrogression. The advance has a natural cause which cannot be changed or checked, and which has its root in the increased knowledge of mankind of the gifts of nature and the powers of nature, all of which can be made to become the vassals of man in the enjoyment of his brief span of life. And all this is simultaneous with the rise in so many countries of vast and crowded cities such as our ancestors never dreamed of, cities at once the centres of commerce and so of luxury, and also, alas! The seats of the deepest moral corruption. We shudder at the thought of what that corruption was which brought on the Cities of the Plain the vengeance of God, but comparing the probable population of those cities with what we know of the hundreds of thousands that are to be found either in or around a few great centres of modern life, such as London, or Paris, or New York, it is hard to think that in any of those great cities there is, day by day, and night by night, much less of foul offence to the Divine Majesty in the violation of the moral law which He has written in the heart of every child of Adam, than what would equal the accumulation of sin which brought on the Deluge, or devoted the Cities of the Plain to the fire which came down from Heaven.

Now it is well for a moment to have dwelt on such a feature as this of the last days, and of our own days as well as of those. It is well, because here is a point as to which we may all contribute to the balance on the side of good or on the side of evil. The men and women from whom we inherit the faith and religion of our Lord were men and women in few things more superior to those who have come after them than in the severity, the simplicity, the manliness and virtuous dignity of their lives. They rose early and ate and drank simply and sparingly, and were not afraid of heat or cold, they could brave the weather and live in the open air, and their houses and their chambers knew nothing of the thousand so-called necessities of the men and women of our time. Their amusements were manly and vigorous, their table was plain, their dress inexpensive, they could dance without danger to modesty, they conversed together without the chance of shameful anecdotes or inuendoes. When they were children they obeyed their parents, and did not expect to be petted and indulged in every whim and fancy, and when they became parents they watched over the purity and the piety of their children. I need not draw the other side of the picture, for it is but too plain how we have degenerated from them. But I say, here is a matter not for the priest alone, or the religious alone, it is a matter for laymen and gentlemen and fathers and mothers of families, as they vale their own souls, and the souls of their children, and as they will give an account of their responsibilities to the great Judge at the end of their time. Then they will be asked what they have done towards staying the plague of luxury and licence of manners, or whether they have been on the side of the increase of that licence and of the gradual declension of virtue and morality in a land which still calls itself Christian. It matters comparatively nothing how far the world may at this moment be from the final victory of licence and this immorality. What does matter to us, now and here, is this – that we should stand up in our generation for ancient purity, for frugality, and temperance, and virtue, for the holy discipline of the Christian home, for the manly severity of life, which made those who are gone before us able to resist as they did the tyranny of the State and the civil and social proscription under which they suffered, in order to hand on to us the treasures and traditions of old Catholic manners. If we throw these to the winds for the sake of the pleasures and effeminacies of modern life, how far more guilty shall we be, how far more severely punished, than those around us, who have lived like animals and no more bound than they to deny themselves any satisfaction – ignorant of God, ignorant of Jesus Christ, without the faith and the hope which might have been enough to give them courage to despise the things which are seen for the sake of the the things which are not seen, to forego the momentary enjoyments of earth for the sake of Heaven and of eternity!

We have indeed arrived at a time when most men submit themselves to the tyranny of the civil state that has been coming upon us in incremental terms since July 4, 1776, a date that was but the inevitable result of the revolution begun on the continent of Europe by Martin Luther on October 31, 1517, and in England by King Henry VIII in 1534.

This concluding excerpt from Father Coleridge’s sermon above describes most men alive today, including most who adhere to the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist “left,” including most such true deplorables in the two houses of Congress, and many within the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist “right,” including President Trump himself, who is without remorse for any of notoriously scandalous personal behavior and his entirely unbothered about the fact that he has undercut his own credibility by saying different things at different times, including his denial that he knew of consigliere Cohen’s arrangement to pay hush money to Stephanie Clifford, which shifted to a narrative that there was nothing illegal about it, which is true enough.

Father Coleridge’s sermon described the trajectory of a world steeped in naturalism in his own day. He saw clearly where this would lead, and it is tragic that so many believing Catholics believe that the United States of America will be made “great again” when its current path of destruction and decay was charted by the rationalists, freethinkers, deists, Freemasons who celebrated religious indifferentism, religious liberty, unfettered freedom of speech and of the press as the nation’s very foundation.

Is it possible for men and their nations to pursue the common temporal good without submitting to the sweet yoke of the Social Reign of Christ the King as it must be exercised by His Holy Catholic Church in all that pertains to the good of souls?

Is it possible for men to withstand the gates of hell in their own personal lives and in their nations when they sin unrepentantly and, worse yet, enshrine their sins in public laws as “human rights” and then celebrate then in all aspects of popular culture?

Is it possible for men to maintain virtue personally or to establish “civic virtue” in public life without repenting of their sins and seeking to do penance for them by a belief in and firm reliance upon the graces won for them by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour’s Most Precious Blood during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into their souls and hearts through the loving hands of His Most Blessed Mother, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces?

Of course not.

Let me turn once more the following words of Pope Pius XI in Mit Brennender Sorge, March 17, 1937:

And today we again repeat with all the insistency We can command: it is not enough to be a member of the Church of Christ, one needs to be a living member, in spirit and in truth, i.e., living in the state of grace and in the presence of God, either in innocence or in sincere repentance. If the Apostle of the nations, the vase of election, chastised his body and brought it into subjection: lest perhaps, when he had preached to others, he himself should become a castaway (1 Cor. ix. 27), could anybody responsible for the extension of the Kingdom of God claim any other method but personal sanctification? Only thus can we show to the present generation, and to the critics of the Church that "the salt of the earth," the leaven of Christianity has not decayed, but is ready to give the men of today -- prisoners of doubt and error, victims of indifference, tired of their Faith and straying from God -- the spiritual renewal they so much need. A Christianity which keeps a grip on itself, refuses every compromise with the world, takes the commands of God and the Church seriously, preserves its love of God and of men in all its freshness, such a Christianity can be, and will be, a model and a guide to a world which is sick to death and clamors for directions, unless it be condemned to a catastrophe that would baffle the imagination.

20. Every true and lasting reform has ultimately sprung from the sanctity of men who were driven by the love of God and of men. Generous, ready to stand to attention to any call from God, yet confident in themselves because confident in their vocation, they grew to the size of beacons and reformers. On the other hand, any reformatory zeal, which instead of springing from personal purity, flashes out of passion, has produced unrest instead of light, destruction instead of construction, and more than once set up evils worse than those it was out to remedy. No doubt "the Spirit breatheth where he will" (John iii. 8): "of stones He is able to raise men to prepare the way to his designs" (Matt. iii. 9). He chooses the instruments of His will according to His own plans, not those of men. But the Founder of the Church, who breathed her into existence at Pentecost, cannot disown the foundations as He laid them. Whoever is moved by the spirit of God, spontaneously adopts both outwardly and inwardly, the true attitude toward the Church, this sacred fruit from the tree of the cross, this gift from the Spirit of God, bestowed on Pentecost day to an erratic world.  (Pope Pius XI, Mit Brennender Sorge, March 17, 1937.)

We live a very erratic world, one awash with violence against the innocent and hatred for the true Faith that is now fully out in the open for all to behold. That is, such violence and hatred is out in the happen for those who have the eyes of the Holy Faith to see.

As has been noted so frequently on this site, however, the lords of conciliarism have made their “official reconciliation” with the anti-Incarnational errors of Modernity and have reaffirmed unsuspecting Catholics in their desires as fallen creatures to be like the rest of men in the unlimited enjoyment of the pleasures of this world. It is thus for most men alive today, including most Catholics, to realize that the party is over, and the agitation engendered by the constant conflicts between two sets of naturalists who disagree on some things but are united in their rejection of the necessity of adhering to Catholic truth and of cooperating with Sanctifying and Actual Grace as the means to personal and social order to see that there will no party for anyone in eternity who persists in grievous sin until the time of his death. There is no naturalistic means to stem the tide of evil that has overtaken us as surely as the Flood overtook the men of Noe’s time.

The party’s over but so few people want to see that this is so.

Today is the Feast of Saint Raymond of Pennafort, a devoted confessor and son of the Mother of God who loved her with such tenderness, purity and devotedness that she favored him with a specific mission—along with Saint Peter Nolasco and King James of Aragon—to found the Order of Our Lady of Ransom—to rescue Catholics who had been taken captive by the Mohammedans:

The blessed Raymond was born at Barcelona, in the year of our Lord 1175, and was of the noble family of the De Penafuerte. He was early instructed in the Christian religion, and even while he was still a little child, he showed such excellence of mind and body, as filled his friends with strong hopes of his future greatness. As a young man he taught letters in his native place. He afterwards went to Bologna, where he applied himself to works of godliness, and to the study of the Ecclesiastical and Civil Law. He took the degree of Doctor, and lectured with great applause upon the Canon Law. He attained so much celebrity that Berengar, Bishop of Barcelona, on his way from Rome to his own See, turned aside to visit the Saint at Bologna, and at length persuaded him after many entreaties to return with him to Spain. He was appointed to a Canonry and the Archdeaconry in the Church of Barcelona, in which offices he set both clergy and people a brilliant example of uprightness, modesty, learning, and meekness, and more especially strove, as far as in him lay, to increase the honour and reverence paid to the Virgin Mother of God, whom he venerated with an affection singularly devoted.

When he was about forty-five years of age he solemnly professed in the Order of Friars Preachers, and strove, as a new recruit, to perfect himself in all the duties of his calling, particularly in charity to the poor, and above all to those unhappy Christians who were slaves to the unbelievers. He was the Confessor of St. Peter Nolasco and of James I., King of Aragon, and by his advice St Peter Nolasco gave up his whole worldly possessions to ransom as many as possible of the wretched captives. At this moment the most blessed Virgin appeared simultaneously to St. Raymond, St. Peter Nolasco, and King James, and revealed to them the pleasure of her Only-begotten Son and herself, that they should establish in her honour an order of Religious persons whose work should be the redemption of Christian slaves from bondage among unbelievers. The three took counsel together, and then founded the Order of the Blessed Mary of Ransom, for the Redemption of Captives. The blessed Raymond himself composed a most appropriate code of rules for the new institution, for which he after some years obtained the express sanction of Pope Gregory IX., and himself (on the ioth day of August, in the year 1223,) with his own hands clothed St. Peter Nolasco in the habit, and constituted him the first Master General of the Order.

He was summoned to Rome by Gregory IX., in the year 1230, and appointed by him his Chaplain, Penitentiary, and Confessor, and by his orders collected into one volume of the Decretals the ordinances of the Roman Pontiffs, which up to that time were only to be found scattered among the records of divers Councils and Churches. He firmly refused the Archbishopric of Tarascon, which was offered him by the Pope himself, and, having been chosen Master General of the whole order of Friars Preachers, he discharged the duties of that office in holiness for two years, and then resigned it. It was by his advice that James, King of Aragon, established the Office of the Holy Inquisition in his dominions. He was distinguished by many miracles, of which the chief which is narrated of him is that on one occasion being in the island of Majorca and wishing to go to Barcelona, he spread his cloak upon the sea, and passed over the waters on it, accomplishing the whole distance of sixty leagues in six hours, and finally entering his convent through the closed doors. He attained the age of nearly an hundred years, and fell asleep in the Lord (on the 6th day of January,) in the year of salvation 1275. His name was enrolled by Clement VIII. among those of the Saints. (Matins, The Divine Office, Feast of Saint Raymond of Pennafort.)

It is worth noting that the miracle of Our Lady’s devoted client, Saint Raymond of Pennafort, flew on his cloak to travel over the sea from Majorca to Barcelona, a miracle that is attested to in the Collect for Holy Mass today:

O God, You Who chose blessed Raymond to be a renowned minister of the sacrament of Penance, and miraculously brought him through the waves of the sea, grant that by his intercession we may produce good results from our penitence and reach the heaven of eternal salvation. Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. (Collect, Mass of Saint Raymond of Pennafort.)

There is no such reference in the “opening prayer” for today’s “optional memorial”  in the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service of Saint Raymond’s flying over the sea:

O God, who adorned the Priest Saint Raymond with the virtue of outstanding mercy and compassion for sinners and for captives, grant us, through his intercession, that, released from slavery to sin, we may carry out in freedom of spirit what is pleasing to you. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. (Opening Prayer for Novus Ordo "optional memorial" of Saint Raymond of Pennafort.)

What was I saying about the rationalist spirit of the counterfeit church of conciliarism that eschew miraculous events as beyond belief?

We believe in miracles, including that God has favored his saints, especially those who were particularly devoted to His Most Blessed Mother, with prodigious feast attesting to His power over the elements and attesting to His loving mercy for us erring sinners at the same time. Why, then, do we permit ourselves to be so steeped in naturalism as to think that there is something short of Catholicism that can unite men and restore social order?

We must remember that we have no permanent dwelling here in this mortal vale of tears. We are meant to suffer the chastisements of these times in which it has been within the Providence of God to place us so that we can work out our salvation in fear and in trembling as the consecrated slaves of His Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. We have not been left as orphans in this time of apostasy and betrayal and in this time of the triumph, albeit temporary, of the combined forces of Antichrist in the world as Our Lord Himself has sent His Most Blessed Mother to us to clothe us with the shield of Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel and to provide us with the weapon against all the enemies of our own salvation and of truth in the world,  her Most Holy Rosary.

Our Lady has told us in the end her Immaculate Heart will triumph, which should give us great encouragement in these troubling times as her Divine Son, Christ the King, has chosen us, unworthy though we are, to be the imperfect instruments by which we can make a bit of reparation for our sins and those of the whole world and to plant a few seeds for the restorations of all things in Him, Our Divine Redeemer and King.
