Sin: More Deadly Than the Coronavirus, part three: Inflating the Numbers

As noted in the previous section of this long commentary, many in the supposed “healthcare” industry have been attributing “deaths to the China/Wuhan/Chinese/Coronavirus that are really killings administered at their own hands under the euphemism of “compassionate care.” We may never know the true number of those who have died from Red China’s enhanced—but not yet fully enhanced to its maximum possible strength—biological weapon as distinguished from those who have been killed on the pretext of their having been diagnosed with the virus. This is not to say that people have not gotten seriously ill and/or died a natural death without any “assistance” from the “healthcare” community. However, it is nevertheless true that the true number of those have died from the Coronavirus is far lower than the authorities want us dupes to believe.

The cases mentioned above are not merely anecdotal nor anomalous. They are the norm here in the United States of America and in most other places around the world. Such is the grip that so-called “compassionate” or “hospice” care has on those who work in the healthcare industry as a result of the brainwashing they receive in medical and/or nursing schools that their first, only and final recourse to treat many of the elderly or those are said to have—and indeed may be suffering from—underlying conditions is to kill them.

Inflating the Numbers Pro-Actively

Here is yet another proof of this stark reality that only a fool can deny as being completely representative about how “palliative care” is inflating the numbers of those who are said to have died from and/or “complications arising from” the China/Wuhan/Chinese/Coronavirus. Those “complications” can mean decisions made on a purely utilitarian basis to end the lives of those who have never been the chance to recover fully or, as will be discovered below, did not have any “symptoms” until they were taken to a hospital although perfectly healthy before their relatives were told that they only had “minutes” to live:

CNN - Just a few weeks ago, Stuart and Adrian Baker were perfectly healthy.

The inseparable couple had been married for more than 51 years and were living in Boynton Beach, Florida, in retirement. Neither of them had any serious health conditions.

Then in mid-March, they started feeling ill.

On Sunday, they both died - six minutes apart - due to complications from COVID-19, their son Buddy Baker said.

Stuart Baker was 74. Adrian Baker was 72.

Buddy Baker, a longtime NFL agent, has been speaking publicly about the loss of his parents, using his family's tragedy to reiterate the seriousness of the global coronavirus pandemic.

In a video on Twitter, he urged people to heed social distancing and stay-at-home recommendations from public health officials.

Baker detailed the events leading up to his parents' passing in a phone interview with CNN.

About three weeks ago, Stuart and Adrian went to the doctor after they weren't feeling well, according to Baker. They were eventually sent home.

A few days later, their symptoms still hadn't improved so their doctor recommended that they visit the hospital. Baker said that they were also sent home from the hospital and told to self-quarantine until they felt better.

Baker said he'd call to check on his parents regularly, but their health didn't seem to be improving. One day, they seemed to be on the up, and then the next day, they'd be feeling worse again.

After a few more days, on March 19, they were told to return to the hospital. Baker's father, who had a fever and also had asthma, was admitted. His mother, who did not have a fever, was not.

Despite the circumstances, Baker said he and his family were optimistic. They were talking to Stuart regularly on his phone, and it seemed like he'd be able to push through.

About 48 hours later, his father was admitted to the ICU, but the family was still hopeful. Stuart went from being on 60 percent oxygen to 50 percent, a sign that things were going in the right direction.

Meanwhile, Baker's mother didn't have a fever or other worrying symptoms, knowing that her husband was in the hospital was taking a serious toll on her mentally.

Baker said he and his sister would visit their mother a few times a day, sitting outside the garage while their mom sat inside. Then on March 24, they got a call from the hospital.

Their father had tested positive for COVID-19 and the doctor said it didn't look like he would make it.

The call was shattering, Baker said. They didn't want to upset their mother with the news and decided to take her to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

They wanted to see if she too could be tested, though because she had no fever or other related symptoms, they thought she would be fine.

Within 45 minutes of their mother being checked in, Baker said the doctor called to report that her oxygen levels were very low. She wouldn't make it either.

With their parents' organs failing, Baker said he and his sister decided to move their parents to hospice care at the counsel of medical professionals. His mother and father were both moved to the same room and taken off ventilators to be comfortable.

How is it possible for a woman with no underlying symptoms and suffering from no respiratory distress to be diagnosed as in danger of death within forty-five minutes of being checked in to a hospital?

Without for a moment casting any aspersions on the grown children of the couple in question. It is nevertheless necessary to point out to the readership of this site that it would appear to be the case that Coronavirus has provided with “healthcare” professionals an opportunity to “thin the herd” by the same utilitarian, Social Darwinist means that they have heretofore have employed only after conditioning patients and/or their family members to “let go” so that “compassionate care”/“palliative care” can be employed.

Why is it that large numbers of people are dying in various nursing homes (see Forty-two pie dead from Coronavirus in Northern Virginia Nursing Home for the latest instance of deaths claimed to be “caused” by the Coronavirus)?

Well, the answer will be provided a bit later in this commentary, but here is a spoiler: the United States of America’s Centers for Disease Control have encouraged healthcare providers and administrators to use call almost any death that is taking place at this time as having been caused by the coronavirus no matter if some of those dying have had their deaths expedited by “compassionate”/“palliative care.”

We are watching a genocide of epic proportions being played out before our very eyes as the pretext to inspire such fear in the masses that they will accept the “new normal” of limitations of movement and, eventually, a mandatory vaccine that will probably contain the cells of butchered babies and/or babies killed in the process of the evil known as in vitro fertilization. It is eminently possible that those who refuse this vaccination will be fined and possibly quarantined until they acquiesce to the statists, globalists and pro-aborts who are running this scam just as they and their predecessors before them have used the scam of “brain death” to justify the vivisection of human beings for their bodily organs for use on the extensive organ transplantation network.

Dr. Anthony Fauci: Apologist for Big Pharma and the Vaccination Scam

None other than the ubiquitous swamp creature named Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is paving the way for that mandatory Coronavirus vaccination that will only wind up making people sick and thus candidates for extermination once they become sick without realizing that the vaccination is the culprit:

Anthony Fauci, America’s most-listened-to medical professional on the coronavirus, and apparently on all the political, economic, cultural and social precautions every man, woman and child in the nation should take on the coronavirus, has just warned what cooler-head coronavirus watchers have suspected all along: that this country may never, no never, go back to normal.

Never, that is, Fauci suggested, until a vaccine is developed. And by logical extension, that’s to say — never, until a vaccine is developed that must then be included on the required list of shots for all children to attend school.

What great news for Big Pharma.

What great news for Bill Gates who just announced his foundation is going to spend billions of dollars to help build factories for seven possible coronavirus vaccine makers. “Spend” is probably the wrong word here. Invest is more like it.

After all, Gates, first and foremost, is a businessman. A billionaire businessman who made his billions in Microsoft and who just left his billion-dollar Microsoft enterprise to pursue other matters — specifically, to “serve humanity,” is how the Economic Times put it, in a March headline.

For a taste of how he’s already served humanity, one need only look to the disastrous Common Core one-size-fits-all, top-down education plan that his foundation bankrolled.

From education to vaccinations — the service to humanity never ends.

But this is what Fauci just warned, at a White House briefing with reporters: “When we get back to normal, we will go back to the point where we can function as a society. But … [i]f you want to get back to pre-coronavirus, that might not ever happen in the sense that the threat is there. But I believe that with the therapies that will be coming online, and the fact that I feel confident that over a period of time we will get a good vaccine, that we will never have to get back to where we are right now.”

He also said this: “If back to normal means acting like there never was a coronavirus problem, I don’t think that’s going to happen until we do have a situation where you can completely protect the population.”

This — as the dire, dark, deathly numbers that sent America into coronavirus panic in the first place were just revised downward.

This — as Gates, the guy who has been the face of warning about the “nightmare scenario” of the coronavirus outbreak, just said the predicted death toll may not be as high as, well, predicted. Yes, viruses are, after all, seasonal.

This — as deaths due to the coronavirus are wildly open to interpretation, wildly speculative, wildly unscientific.

“The lack of widespread, systematic testing in most countries is the main source of discrepancies in death rates internationally,” BBC reported.

What do doctors consider a coronavirus death?

In the United Kingdom, health officials give daily counts of deaths of those who tested positive for the coronavirus, but who might have actually died from other medical conditions. In the United States, doctor discretion reigns.

“In the US,” BBC reported, “doctors … are asked to record whether the patient dies ‘as a result of this illness’ when reporting Covid-19 deaths to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”

So some patients may have underlying conditions that lead to death; others may not. Some hospitals may have policies that mandate the U.K. model — to chalk up any patient who died with the coronavirus to be reported to the CDC as a coronavirus fatality; other hospitals may let the doctor determine. It’s a toss-up, hardly fact-based.

And for all this, America may never see a return to pre-coronavirus normalcy?

We’re focused on fear.

We should be focused on this: the money trail.

The money and power trail.

The Global Vaccine Action Plan, for instance.

“The World Health Organization, UNICEF, the National institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have announced a collaboration to increase coordination across the international vaccine community and create a Global Vaccine Action Plan,” the Gates Foundation reported in a press release. “The collaboration follows the January 2010 call by Bill ad Melinda Gates for the next ten years to be the Decade of Vaccines.”

The “Decade of Vaccines?”

It’s a structured campaign. It includes a Leadership Council, a Steering Committee, an International Advisory Committee — and other bureaucratic so forths and so ons. But here’s an interesting link.

The Leadership Council “is comprised of … Dr. Anthony S. Fauci,” the Gates Foundation reported.

Fauci, the same guy who just set the stage for the dire need for a protective coronavirus vaccine, has a vested interest in seeing this vaccine come to fruition — come to widely administered fruition.

“Vaccines are miracles,” said Pedro Alonso, the director for the Institute for Global Health of Barcelona, and another stakeholder in the “Decade of Vaccines” program.

Yes.

And for certain folk, certain insider folk, vaccines are also great economic and political investments. Especially when they come as saving grace solutions to wildly spread fears — especially when they come as required, mandated protections for global populations. A most unlikely source, Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr., has been in the forefront of exposing the sort of vaccination scams being advanced by Dr. Anthony Fauci and that have been funded, of course, by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation:

Vaccines, for Bill Gates, are a strategic philanthropy that feed his many vaccine-related businesses (including Microsoft’s ambition to control a global vaccination ID enterprise) and give him dictatorial control of global health policy.

Gates’ obsession with vaccines seems to be fueled by a conviction to save the world with technology.

Promising his share of $450 million of $1.2 billion to eradicate Polio, Gates took control of India’s National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) which mandated up to 50 doses (Table 1) of polio vaccines through overlapping immunization programs to children before the age of five. Indian doctors blame the Gates campaign for a devastating non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP) epidemic that paralyzed 490,000 children beyond expected rates between 2000 and 2017. In 2017, the Indian government dialed back Gates’ vaccine regimen and asked Gates and his vaccine policies to leave India. NPAFP rates dropped precipitously.

In 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) reluctantly admitted that the global explosion in polio is predominantly vaccine strain. The most frightening epidemics in Congo, Afghanistan, and the Philippines, are all linked to vaccines. In fact, by 2018, 70% of global polio cases were vaccine strain.

In 2014, the Gates Foundation funded tests of experimental HPV vaccines, developed by Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) and Merck, on 23,000 young girls in remote Indian provinces. Approximately 1,200 suffered severe side effects, including autoimmune and fertility disorders. Seven died. Indian government investigations charged that Gates-funded researchers committed pervasive ethical violations: pressuring vulnerable village girls into the trial, bullying parents, forging consent forms, and refusing medical care to the injured girls. The case is now in the country’s Supreme Court.

In 2010, the Gates Foundation funded a phase 3 trial of GSK’s experimental malaria vaccine, killing 151 African infants and causing serious adverse effects including paralysis, seizure, and febrile convulsions to 1,048 of the 5,949 children.

During Gates’ 2002 MenAfriVac campaign in Sub-Saharan Africa, Gates’ operatives forcibly vaccinated thousands of African children against meningitis. Approximately 50 of the 500 children vaccinated developed paralysis. South African newspapers complained, “We are guinea pigs for the drug makers.” Nelson Mandela’s former Senior Economist, Professor Patrick Bond, describes Gates’ philanthropic practices as “ruthless and immoral.”

In 2010, Gates committed $10 billion to the WHO saying, “We must make this the decade of vaccines.” A month later, Gates said in a Ted Talk that new vaccines “could reduce population”. In 2014, Kenya’s Catholic Doctors Association accused the WHO of chemically sterilizing millions of unwilling Kenyan women with a  “tetanus” vaccine campaign. Independent labs found a sterility formula in every vaccine tested. After denying the charges, WHO finally admitted it had been developing the sterility vaccines for over a decade.  Similar accusations came from Tanzania, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the Philippines.

A 2017 study (Morgenson et. al. 2017) showed that WHO’s popular DTP vaccine is killing more African children than the diseases it prevents. DTP-vaccinated girls suffered 10x the death rate of children who had not yet received the vaccine. WHO has refused to recall the lethal vaccine which it forces upon tens of millions of African children annually.

Global public health advocates around the world accuse Gates of steering WHO’s agenda away from the projects that are proven to curb infectious diseases: clean water, hygiene, nutrition, and economic development. The Gates Foundation only spends about $650 million of its $5 billion dollar budget on these areas.  They say he has diverted agency resources to serve his personal philosophy that good health only comes in a syringe.

In addition to using his philanthropy to control WHO, UNICEF, GAVI, and PATH, Gates funds a private pharmaceutical company that manufactures vaccines, and additionally is donating $50 million to 12 pharmaceutical companies to speed up development of a coronavirus vaccine. In his recent media appearances, Gates appears confident that the Covid-19 crisis will now give him the opportunity to force his dictatorial vaccine programs on American children. A writer by the name of Bill Sardi echoes Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr.’s conclusions as follows:

Months of reported coronavirus deaths could result in public clamor for a vaccine, but in post-treatment review it appears 8 in 10 COVID-19 related deaths (Italy) were actually due to underlying conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.  According to the CDC 83.3% of  of Americans with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus infections have underlying medical conditions.  Yet the news media keeps blasting higher death counts which is irresponsible.

Then there is a financial incentive being given to hospitals to up-code cases of seasonal pneumonia by following newly issued CDC guidelines, to indicate they died of COVID-19 ($39,000 reimbursement instead of the normal $13,000).  So, is the CDC driving the appearance of COVID-19 deaths to push public demand for a vaccine out of what amounts to unsubstantiated fear?

Maybe it’s actually another infectious disease

There is a small undercurrent that many of the worldwide cases of pneumonia from COVID-19 coronavirus are actually from tuberculosis.  It is very difficult to distinguish flu-related pneumonia from TB-induced pneumonia.  Of particular interest is that nations that mandate TB vaccination have a coronavirus death rate six times lower than other countries.

Gates has the world in a guillotine

Bill Gates is currently spending millions of dollars to build seven factories to develop a COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine.

The world would be better to spend money on increasing immunity from infectious disease with nutritional supplementation, namely vitamins C & D and zinc, and the targeted use of medicines, which includes the anti-malaria chloroquine, to treat or prevent severe COVID-19 symptoms among high-risk groups.  Such an approach would be more appropriate and less problematic than mass vaccination. It is time for all doubters to face facts.

We are witnessing a statist, anti-life putsch by tyrants who are concerned about reducing the global population, making money off of a manufactured crisis, accustoming everyone in the world to controls on their daily lives and income and, in the case of William and Melinda Gates, to advance a worldwide agenda of “family planning services” (see Gates Foundation: Global Development and Family Planning) and the further mainstreaming of the homosexual collective’s agenda (see Melinda Gates Gave $500,000 to support sodomites).

Dr. Deborah Brix Admits to a "Liberal" Diagnosis of Death by Coronavirus

Indeed, Dr. Deborah Birx, who has been joined at the hip with her mentor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, ar President Donald John Trump’s “Coronavirus Task Force” daily brief, has admitted that the government is including the deaths of people with underlying conditions who are said to have been diagnosed with coronavirus after being hospitalized. One wonders how this is possible as one government official after another have said that there are not enough testing kits to meet the current demand.

Anyhow, here is the remarkable admission from Dr. Deborah Birx about the “liberal” basis of their statistics:

As health experts develop statistics and models to track the impact of coronavirus on America, anyone who has the disease and dies will be counted as a COVID-19 death, regardless of what actually killed them.

Dr. Deborah Birx, coordinator of the White House coronavirus task force, explained at Tuesday’s daily news briefing that not all countries are doing things the same way.

“I think in this country, we’ve taken a very liberal approach to mortality, and I think the reporting here has been pretty straightforward over the last five to six weeks,” Birx said.

“Prior to that, when there wasn’t testing in January and February, that’s a very different situation and unknown,” she added.

“There are other countries that if you had a pre-existing condition and let’s say the virus caused you to go to the ICU and then have a heart or kidney problem — some countries are recording that as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death.”

Not so in the U.S., according to Birx.

“Right now, we’re still recording it, and the great thing about having forms that come in and a form that has the ability to mark it as COVID-19 infection, the intent is, right now — if someone dies with COVID-19, we are counting that as a COVID-19 death,” she said.

Birx was asked if that approach might skew the data.

“I think that would apply more to rural areas that may not have the same level of testing,” she said.

“But I am pretty confident in New York City and in New Jersey and places that have these large outbreaks and COVID-only hospitals. I can tell you they are testing. New York and New Jersey together have — by proportion, are testing extraordinary well — as Washington state and Louisiana. So I don’t see that there’s been a barrier in testing to diagnosis.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the current experience in hospitals is that it is the virus, not an underlying condition, that triggers what proves to be a fatal health emergency.

“I think there’s so much focus now on coronavirus that — particularly if you take New York, which we all know is having a disproportionately higher proportion of the burden of the entire country is right now in New York,” he said.

“I can’t imagine if someone comes in with coronavirus, goes to an ICU, and they have an underlying heart condition and they die, they’re going to say ’cause of death: heart attack.’ I cannot see that happening. The moral of this story is simple: many in the  medical community is, it would appear, simply stamping those who enter hospitals with conditions entirely unrelated to coronavirus with the disease so that the numbers of those who die can be inflated, thus continuing a “crisis” while providing them with an excuse to do away with those they believe will never have a “good” “quality of life” again.

Several comments that there “tweeted” after Dr. Birx made her remarks summarized this admission very succinctly:

Dr. Brix's admission has been followed by made by officials in the City of New York and found in, of all places, the April 14, 2020, edition of The New York Times:

It is time to face facts: the medical community has been in the forefront of promoting contraception, sterilization, abortion, sodomy, “brain death,” “organ transplantation,” the starvation and dehydration of innocent human beings who are said to be “brain damaged,” “brain dead” or incapable of “recovering,” and, of course “palliative care,” which is simply euthanasia under the cover of a convenient euphemism, and it is now in the forefront of scaring policy-makers and citizens into accept lockdowns that are entirely unnecessary while lining their own pockets with more Federal funny money.

The Worldometers data on the Coronvirus indicates that only in 0.9% of the deaths associated with confirmed or presumed cases of the disease had no underlying conditions!

Most people are so afraid of suffering and dying and have been so conditioned to accept whatever the medical and scientific “experts” say that they are willing to relinquish as many legitimate personal liberties, to say nothing of their absolute right to worship the true God, the Most Blessed Trinity, in a true offering of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition by a true priest, in exchange for being “safe.”

No One Is Guaranteed Any Kind of Physical Safety in the Vale of Tears

Safety is an interesting concept when one considers that no one is guaranteed of his safety even in his own home as there are a myriad of ways one can have an accident of one sort or another (falling down a flight of stairs, getting burned by a baking pan or a frying pain or a pot of scalding hot water, slipping and falling in one’s bathtub, getting a concussion while lifting one’s head up after bending down to look in a pantry or closet, etc.), to say nothing of an armed burglary or a home invasion. One can even die in one’s own bed while asleep from a heart attack, cardiac arrest or massive stroke.

There is no such thing as being “safer at home” in one’s person, property and effects. One can, however, be as truly safe as possible by trying to stay in a state of Sanctifying Grace at all times by begging Our Lady for the graces to persevere to the time of one’s death in the odor of sanctity and to have had a true priest enthrone one’s home to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Similarly, there is never guarantee even after one’s leaves the relative safety of one’s own home that one is not going to have a stroke or a heart attack or be involved in an automobile accident or held up by armed robbers. Risk is part of living in the vale of tears.

Sick people are quarantined in time of legitimate pandemics, not the healthy. However, the simple fact is the likes of Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Brix, et al. are concerned about making us all wait for a vaccine to make us “safe” while the very evils that the medical community perpetuates under the cover of the civil law, including killing innocent preborn babies and then anyone else after birth deemed to be expendable by means of the myth of “brain death” and the euphemism of “palliative care” or the starvation and dehydration of those who are said to be incapable of “recovering” continuing to bring God’s just wrath down upon men and their nations. This is the madness of a world operating on false, anti-Incarnational principles that can never do anything other than lead us more and more into an abyss of worldwide poverty, hunger, unemployment and totalitarianism.

Indeed, the evidence emerging now shows clearly that the number of actual Coronavirus deaths are not what the government experts are telling us in their daily briefings or are being printed in the mainslime media. We may never know the true number of those who had died from the Coronavirus, and we may not even know how many people have been infected with the disease as an April 3, 2020, footnote on the Worldometers site admits that there may have been up to 5,000,000 people in Italy who have been infected, something that would, if true, drastically reduce the death rate there:

• Italy: the real number of COVID-19 cases in the country could be 5,000,0000 (compared to the 119,827 confirmed ones) according to a study which polled people with symptoms who have not been tested, and up to 10,000,000 or even 20,0000,000 after taking into account asymptomatic cases, according to Carlo La Vecchia, a Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at the Statale di Milano University.
  
  This number would still be insufficient to reach herd immunity, which would require 2/3 of the population (about 40,000,000 people in Italy) having contracted the virus [source].
  
  The number of deaths could also be underestimated by 3/4 (in Italy as well as in other countries) [source], meaning that the real number of deaths in Italy could be around 60,000.

The Suveillance State is Here to Stay

As explained in Sin: More Deadly Than the Coronavirus, part two, Americans are permitting themselves to be scared by our government minders and their medical “experts” into accepting the imposition of an ever-increasing number of measures that limit legitimate human freedoms while doing nothing to mitigate the spread of a biologically-weaponized virus that is not, at least in most instances, a mortal threat to those who have no underlying health problems. This is about getting us all to accept the same kind of surveillance state that tried to keep Donald John Trump from being elected four years ago and, failing that, has been hard at work undermining his presidency even before he took office, and we are supposed to accept this surveillance state “for our own good.”

A naturalist author has commented as follows on the encroachment of the surveillance state:

From cellphone tracking to drone eyes in the sky, perused health records, and GPS ankle bracelets, an epidemic of surveillance-state measures is spreading across the world. It's all done in the name of battling the spread of COVID-19, of course, since every crisis is used to justify incursions into our liberty. But long after the virus has done its worst and moved on, we're likely to be stuck with these invasions of our privacy—unless we push back, hard.

The rationales for surveillance are easy to understand, within certain limits. Public health authorities battling the pandemic want to know who is spreading the virus, which people they may have infected, and the movements of those potentially carrying the bug.

China, where the COVID-19 outbreak began, leveraged its already deeply intrusive system of social control to force people to install cellphone apps that assigned them a code according to (allegedly) their perceived risk of spreading contagion. Permission to travel or enter public spaces depended on that code even as the software also tracked their whereabouts and shared data on users' phones with the authorities.

Democratic South Korea didn't go as far as China, but it still tracked people's cellphones and credit card usage. Officials also used surveillance cameras to monitor the movements of those suspected of being infected.

Emulating a Chinese tactic, Spanish authorities turned to aerial drones to detect unauthorized gatherings of people—already a cringe-worthy concept for those of us disinclined to ask permission to meet with friends. Loudspeakers on the drones then ordered violators to return home.

Here in the U.S., government officials joined with tech companies to paw through the location data that most of us share with cellphone apps. The idea is to determine if people are staying at home as ordered; if not, the information detects where we're clustering.

Privacy rules have also been relaxed to allow easier sharing of patients' medical records with government health officials.

And some government agencies are attaching GPS ankle monitors to COVID-19 patients and those suspected of exposure lest they go for a walk in the country or pick up groceries from a curbside.

In most cases, Big Brother-ish tactics have been sold as temporary measures intended to battle very real danger from the COVID-19 pandemic. The surveillance is intended to enforce social distancing and track carriers of the new coronavirus so we can end the health crisis and return to normal. But can we take government officials at their word that they'll eventually abandon their new powers?

"Government demands for new high-tech surveillance powers are all too familiar," warns Adam Schwartz, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). "This includes well-meaning proposals to use various forms of data about disease transmission among people. Even in the midst of a crisis, the public must carefully evaluate such government demands, because surveillance invades privacy, deters free speech, and unfairly burdens vulnerable groups."

"And," Schwartz adds, "new surveillance powers tend to stick around."

The EFF attorney isn't alone in his concerns.

"I think the effects of COVID-19 will be more drastic than the effects of the terrorist attacks of 9/11: not only with respect to surveillance, but across many aspects of our society," wrote security expert Bruce Schneier. "And while many things that would never be acceptable during normal time are reasonable things to do right now, we need to makes sure we can ratchet them back once the current pandemic is over."

Our ability or lack thereof to "ratchet them back" is the key point here for surveillance powers. That's because, as Schwartz suggests, governments tend to expand their reach in response to crises, but only to surrender part of that new authority as danger recedes.

"After each major crisis the size of government, though smaller than during the crisis, remained larger than it would have been had the precrisis rate of growth persisted during the interval occupied by the crisis," wrote economic historian Robert Higgs in his 1987 book Crisis and Leviathan. Tellingly, he coined the term "ratchet effect" to describe the phenomenon.

Ratcheting back extraordinary surveillance powers becomes even less likely if the crisis drags on—either because of circumstances or because it's convenient for those who like the power it conveys.

"COVID-19 will be here for the next 18 months or more," insists former Obama administration health policy adviser Ezekiel Emanuel. "We will not be able to return to normalcy until we find a vaccine or effective medications."

Historian Nicholas Mulder predicts—and hopes—that many policy changes to meet the pandemic will become permanent. "Crises have always granted reformist policymakers powers to bypass legislative gridlock and entrenched interests," he notes at Foreign Policy.

If surveillance powers continue to grow along with an ongoing crisis, you can only assume that the sophistication and intrusiveness of that surveillance will also grow.

Along those lines, the Canadian company Draganfly is touting a drone that "can, from a distance, determine fever, which is much different than determining just temperature, cough detection, respiratory rate, heart rate, and blood pressure." The goal is to remotely detect potential COVID-19 cases.

In the U.S., local public health authorities already scrape social media for information about foodborne illness to target and close suspect eateries. Albert Fox Cahn and John Veiszlemlein of the The Surveillance Technology Oversight Project say we should expect the same technique to eventually be applied to the pandemic.

The future looks very closely scrutinized, all for our own health. Unfortunately, our liberty and privacy will die slow and unpleasant deaths in the process. That is, unless we start to actively oppose efforts to monitor our activities.

China, the most pervasive surveillance state on the planet, has fueled as much innovation among those seeking to evade scrutiny as among those exercising it. People learned to install anti-spyware software on their phones or, more simply, to carry two devices—one for mandated apps and ID checks, and the other for unapproved uses.

If cellphones really do become tracking devices, we might even leave them at home when out and about and in need of privacy. The withdrawal would be tough at first, but we can console ourselves with the knowledge that public health authorities would be keenly aware of the location of our coffee tables, and not of us. We could even back away from posting every detail of our lives, including our health, on social media. As for drones… If only there was some technology appropriate for knocking flying objects out of the air, and available in a variety of shot sizes.

It would be best if government officials learned to back off and abandon truly temporary measures after the precipitating crises disappeared. But that's probably a lesson that they'll have to be taught rather forcefully. (Surveillance State Thrives During the Pandemic.)

Ezekiel Emmanuel, by the way, was the architect of ObamaDeathCare and huge supporter of death panels, that is, “rationing” of health care (see Death To Us All—from 2009). Yet it is that none other than President Donald John Trump turned to the pro-abortion Ezekiel Emanuel to help craft the never passed into law “RyanCare” three years ago (There Is Nothing "Pro-Life" About RyanCare). Despite his best efforts, Trump just can’t seem to pry himself loose from the very swamp creatures who support one anti-life measure after another.

Although I have warning on this site for many years about the rise of a “soft totalitarianism” that would be imposed while sleepy, diverted and/or anxious Americans live in delusional, fantastic worlds that filter out even the consideration that our government taking away our legitimate liberties, including the absolute right of a Catholic to worship God in the true Mass without any hindrances from the civil state, are taken away “indefinitely.”

A senior writer for the National Review summarized the fascism that is occurring right before our very eyes, “to keep us safe,” you understand, a phenomenon that the writer does not understand is the logical, inevitable, inexorable result of a nation founded on false, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist, Pelagian and Calvinist/Judeo-Masonic principles of naturalism make the “people” “sovereign” over our true ruler, Christ the King:

The criminalization of movement ends with ten Philly cops dragging a passenger off a bus for not wearing a face mask. It ends with local Brighton, Colo., cops handcuffing a father in front of his family for playing T-ball with his daughter in an empty park. It ends with three Massachusetts men being arrested, and facing the possibility of 90 days in jail, for crossing state lines and golfing — a sport built for social distancing — in Rhode Island.

There is no reason to close “public” parks, where Americans can maintain social distance while getting some air or space for their mental and physical well-being — or maybe see a grandchild from afar. In California, surfers, who stay far away from each other, are banned from going in the water. Elsewhere, hikers are banned from roaming the millions of acres in national parks. Millions of lower-income and urban-dwelling Americans don’t have the luxury of backyards, and there is absolutely no reason to inhibit their movement, either.

Two days before Easter, Louisville, Ky., mayor Greg Fischer attempted to unilaterally ban drive-in church services for the most holy day in Christianity. It’s one thing if people are purposely and openly undermining public health. The constitutional right to assemble peacefully and protest or practice your religion, however, is not inoperable in presence of a viral pandemic.

Would-be petty tyrants, such as Dallas judge Clay Jenkins, who implores residences to rat out neighbors who sell cigarettes for “putting profits over public health,” forgets that we are not ruled by him, and that he is merely our temporary servant.

But it’s important and necessary, say the experts. Great. Convince us. Most polls show that 80-something percent of Americans will stay home for the rest of this month even if lockdowns are lifted.

The question of how many lives would be lost if we didn’t shut down economy is a vital one, but it is not the only one. There is an array of factors that goes into these decisions. One of them should be preserving our laws and our freedom in times of crisis.

“Reality check,” writes Bethany Allen-Ebrahimian in Axios, “Citywide quarantines, travel restrictions and obsessive public health checks aren’t authoritarian. They’re the kind of total mobilization that happens during major national crises such as war, regardless of the system of government.”

This position, often repeated, is utter nonsense. For one thing, we aren’t at “war.” There are no coronavirus spies and no coronavirus sabotage. Affixing “war” to societal problems — the war on drugs being the most obvious example— is typically a justification for expanding state power. Also, authoritarianism isn’t defined as “strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom except when there is a pandemic.” Your declarative sentences and forceful feelings do not transform the meaning of either authoritarianism or freedom. Many of these draconian measures will never go away. They will become a permanent part of the American political, social, legal, economic and governmental systems. Statists do not give up power very readily.

Look, we are being had, ladies and gentlemen, and President Donald John Trump, who did take very commendable action on Easter Tuesday, April 14, 2020, to suspend American funding of the so-called World Health Organization (WHO) (see Trump to Halt WHO Funding Amid Review) because of the organization's efforts to provide cover for the Red Chinese murderers and their refusal to act upon the informaiton provided to it by the officials of the Republic of China (Free China) in December of 2019 about the outbreak of the Wuhan virus (see Leaders of Free China accuse WHO leader of covering up  for Chicoms), has been used by some of the same sort of swamp creatures who have been trying to undermine his presidency since January 20, 2017, for their own nefarious purposes.

In times of confusion, it is best to focus on fundamentals. What follows is an invitation to do so.

Americans elected Donald Trump—his negatives notwithstanding—because they disliked what the ruling class had been doing to the country, because they distrusted its pretense of wisdom, and because he promised to rule by a sense that defies that of the ruling class but that he has in common with the people at large.

That is why the ruling class’s nonstop campaign to show in every imaginable way that Trump is outside all of its norms only strengthened the people’s preference for him over them. As the mutual disdain that divides the American people and the ruling class continues to grow, and as Trump stands unmistakably as the former’s protector against the latter, the fundamental law of politics (who is on whose side?) guarantees his re-election by a bigger margin.

Unless, of course, Trump himself sides or is perceived to be siding with the rulers against the ruled. In that case, his fate is even surer to be that of the proverbial salt that has lost its savor, “thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

Since the Ides of March, President Trump has placed himself on a path that the fundamentals suggest leads to political suicide. He did this by surrendering to the ruling class—Drs. Anthony Fauci, Deborah Birx, et al, not to mention House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)—his judgment on whether and for how long, and how the country should be shut down. This is of the greatest concern to the American people in general and to his voters in particular. By giving his imprimatur while suggesting that he is acting against his own better judgment, he fulfills the dictionary definition of tragedy.

President Trump is an intelligent, practical man, conscious of his peculiar responsibility as the one and only person elected to be responsible for the whole country. He knows how wrong Fauci was in the professional judgments he had given in January and February minimizing the novel coronavirus’s effects—for which he is not being held responsible—even as Trump was damned as a racist for closing down air traffic from China on January 31.

Every day, Trump (and the country) learns the ostensibly professional estimates by which Fauci, the Democrats, and the media have been flogging since mid-March are proving wrong by huge factors. And Trump knows that they are wrong because they are based on numbers that do not reflect reality.

Like all who pay attention, Trump knows that the number of confirmed cases means nothing because most infections do not result in “cases,” and hence that the real number for infections is surely higher, possibly by an order of magnitude. Also, the counting of deaths from COVID-19 is being revised downward because many of these deaths result from other causes and are attributed to COVID-19 only because the person happens also to have tested positive. The smaller numerator and the enormously larger denominator means that the real lethality rate is a fraction of one percent. That is why the curves Fauci, the medical establishment, the media, and Democratic governors cite for keeping the country shut down mean nothing.

Trump also knows that this establishment is hurting Americans by restricting the use of hydroxychloroquine—while physicians on the front lines, and millions of people who feel endangered, are benefiting from it or yearning for it. Yet, in the face of criticism from the establishment, he has muted his statements of what he knows to be true about it.

Trump is eager to open the country. And he knows that the American people will hold him, not Fauci or anybody else, responsible for the pain that adherence to the ruling class’s estimates is causing and will cause us. Speculating why, nevertheless, Trump persists in lending legitimacy to these flawed professionals, indeed why he lets them speak in his name, is pointless.

But Trump’s daily confusion of himself with Fauci et al.—no less real for being half-hearted—presses the question of how we may stop our pain and prevent the next bailout bill, and the ones after that, from locking the country in the grip of the ruling class even more than we ever feared when we elected Trump in 2016. One may wonder to what extent that question also presses on Donald Trump.

One thing is certain: That the ruling class savors the grip on us that it has achieved during the past three weeks—above all the presumption that we must quietly accept non-legal decrees from on high. It will not give up that grip without a fight.

Regardless of when Trump acts to reopen the country, they will do whatever is in their power to prevent him from exiting the path to political perdition which he has entered. They won’t give him a pass out of it, no matter what. Nothing that happens in April, or in May, June, or whenever, nothing that any curve does, will induce any of the ruling class to say, “OK, let’s all wash our hands, take precautions to protect the old and the obese, and get back to normal.”

Fauci has warned that perhaps this virus will return with every flu season. This is more than enough for such as New York Governor Andrew Cuomo—who has already said that the country will never be allowed back to normal and is echoed in that by the media—to greet any suggestion to move toward normalcy with the charge that it makes one responsible for deaths. “Blood is on your hands!” will be their rallying cry.

That, in turn, means anyone who may wish to lead America out of the quandary into which it has slipped because of our health officials’ incompetence and of President Trump’s apparent neglect of Politics 101 (who is on whose side?) will have to return to its fundamentals.

To wit: Start from the fact that the ruling class is discredited. Separate yourself from it. (Trump Forgetting Politics 101.)

A Government For, Of and By Liars and Self-Seekers

This having been noted, however, the author’s premises about how President Donald John Trump has been gamed up to this point Deep State agents such as Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Brix are entirely correct. More and more evidence has emerged that prove the efforts to diagnose China/Chinese/Wuhan/Coronavirus/Covid-19 are not only methodologically faulty but driven by the ideological need to keep the social control regulations in place indefinitely.

Fauci has gone so far as to say on the Communist News Network (CNN) on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, that “more lives could have been saved” if the economy had been shut down earlier but he had gotten a lot of “pushback” on getting this done, thus implying that he was blaming President Trump for the loss of lives, something that he kind of, maybe, sort of “walked back” during the daily “coronavirus task force” press briefing at the White House on Easter Monday, April 13, 2020. Fauci is a self-serving bureaucrat who does not seem to realize that he himself has left quite a paper trail indicating that he, Anthony Fauci, was opposed to the shutdown of the economy in February and into the early part of March of this year:

Anthony Fauci has been one of the undoubted media stars of the pandemic, so much so that even President Trump has opined the nation’s infectious disease chief should consider running for political office.

So when Fauci professed on Sunday that more lives could have been saved if aggressive social distancing had been enacted earlier in February, many in the media took it as a poke at the president and governors overseeing the pandemic, even suggesting Fauci may have been overruled in private.

“If you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives," Fauci told CNN's Jake Tapper, suggesting “there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down” early in the pandemic.

But a review of more than three dozen public and media appearances and writings by Fauci, however, shows the nation’s infectious disease chief didn’t embrace — at least not in public — firm social distancing, bans on flights or cruises, or other strict measures during many opportunities in February or March.

In fact, during those two months he called the idea of banning restaurant eating “overkill,” urged healthy people to still go on cruises, and suggested there was no long-term benefit to shutting down domestic air travel, the review showed.

Fauci, for instance, specifically stated on Feb. 25 that it wasn’t “absolutely necessary” to impose social distancing yet. Then two weeks later, he declared he saw no problems with healthy Americans continuing to go on cruise ships, an activity that is hardly conducive to social distancing, as several outbreaks aboard ships have since proved.

“If you are a healthy young person, there is no reason if you want to go on a cruise ship, go on a cruise ship,” Fauci said during a March 8 news conference. “But the fact is that if you have an individual who has an underlying condition, particularly an elderly person who has an underlying condition, I would recommend strongly that they do not go on a cruise ship.”

Fauci gave a similar answer a week later when asked about whether he would like to see a ban on domestic air travel, saying he himself wouldn’t travel for a “pleasure trip” but saw no reason to impose a ban on domestic travel and might travel himself if a serious need arose. “I can tell you that has not been seriously considered,” he said on a Sunday talk show March 15 when asked about a domestic flight ban.

A month earlier, Fauci said even if a pandemic became widespread, restrictions on airline travel would not be helpful, except to provide some temporary delays for hospitals to get ready.

“If there is, and I hope it doesn’t happen, a broad pandemic throughout the world, travel restrictions are not going to help,” he said at a Feb. 7 news conference. “You can’t just travel-restrict everyone.”

Fauci similarly declined on March 15 to urge Americans to stop going to restaurants, saying it would be “overkill,” though he added he himself was avoiding eateries to avoid coming in contact with someone who had the disease.

“You don’t want to make a pronouncement that no one should ever go into a restaurant," he said. "I mean, I think that might be overkill right now, but everything is on the table. It may come to the situation where we strongly recommend — right now, myself, personally, I wouldn’t go to a restaurant. 

"I just wouldn’t, because I don’t want to be in a crowded place, I have an important job to do. I don’t want to be in a situation where I’m going to be all of a sudden self-isolating for 14 days."

Fauci also provided very different answers at different times about U.S. preparedness for the pandemic and the potential lethality of COVID-19.

For instance, Fauci declared on MSNBC on Feb. 25 that “we are reasonably well prepared. We have had a pandemic preparedness plan that we put together years ago.”

In that same interview, Fauci said the plan might eventually require mitigation strategies such as closing schools, teleworking, and imposing social distancing to slow the virus. “We need to start thinking about that now, even though it isn’t absolutely necessary to implement that now,” he said.

By March 12, when he appeared for congressional testimony, Fauci had changed his tune on preparedness, at least when it came to widespread testing for the virus, which he said was a “failing” of the American system.

“We’re not set up for that,” he said. "Do I think we should be? Yes. But we’re not."

By March 23, Fauci went even further, backing away from preparedness, suggesting in Science Magazine a post-mortem of COVID-19 might show the plan crafted over many years was insufficient.

“It’s almost like the fog of war," he said. "After the war is over, you then look back and say, ‘Wow, this plan, as great as it was, didn’t quite work once they started that throwing hand grenades at us.' It really is similar to that.”

imilarly, Fauci has offered two very different assessments of the mortality rate of COVID-19, writing in the New England Journal of Medicine in late March it could be about the same as a bad flu season and telling Congress a few weeks earlier it could be 10 times higher. 

Fauci’s evolution on social distancing, at least in public, is a cogent reminder that the science of infectious diseases is constantly evolving and only as good as the data and assumptions input to make decisions.

On that count, Fauci has been remarkably consistent, telling the news media from the start he doesn’t rely on modeling to predict the outcomes of pandemics. “I have been and still am and will always be somewhat reserved and skeptical about models, because models are only as good as the assumptions that you put into the model,” he told Fox News last week.

In other words, scientists and doctors like Fauci are learning as they go along too.

There will be plenty of post-mortems that will judge Trump, Fauci, Congress, federal scientists, governors, and hospitals after the pandemic ends.

In the meantime, Fauci on Monday made clear he doesn't want his Easter Sunday comments on earlier social distancing to be taken as a swipe at Trump, saying his claim of a pushback was a "poor choice of words."

“The first and only time that I went in and said we should do mitigation strongly, the response was, ‘Yes, we’ll do it,’” Fauci said, explaining Trump's reaction to social distancing.

Anthony Fauci is just another self-serving bureaucrat.

Fauci and Brix know exactly what they are doing, and they have gotten almost everything they have requested from President Donald John Trump as they know the certain way to get him to agree with their nefarious schemes is to praise him at every opportunity, although, as noted just above, Fauci seems to putting some daylight between himself and the president as a means of setting up as the fall guy if, in Fauci’s view, the economy is “opened” up too soon. The Achilles Heel of Donald John Trump is his need for praise and his absolute inability to accept any kind of criticism whatever, no matter how valid and no mattered if it is offered by those who might be favorably disposed  to most of his agenda. Fauci and Brix know this, and the entire country is suffering needlessly as a consequence from a scam based on inflated numbers and “modeling” projections that are purely imaginary.

Fauci and Brix’s imaginary models have proven false repeatedly. Dr. Anthony Fauci is revealing himself to be a self-seeking bureaucrat who is basking in his newfound fame and popularity, and Deborah Brix is so wedded to computer modeling that she readily admits that she is counting as a coronavirus death those that have been caused by an underlying condition and not by an ever-evolving standard of what constitutes “death by coronavirus,” something that respected researchers are discovering and are writing about to dispel the coronavirus propaganda being fed to us by our civil minders (see A Fiasco in the Making: As Coronavirus Pandemic Takes Hold We Are Making Decisions Without Reliable Data).

Do you mean to say officials the government of the United States of America would lie to us?

Yes. We have been fed lies since before July 4, 1776, starting with the big whopper that the “people” are “sovereign.”

Beginning around 1950, the US Army conducted at least 240 open-air bio-warfare attacks on American cities, releasing deadly nerve agents and bacteria from Alaska to Hawaii. The CIA released whooping cough bacteria from the sea near Tampa Bay, Florida, causing an epidemic that left tens of thousands of people extremely ill and killing many others. The US Navy simulated biological warfare attacks by spraying large quantities of a bacteria over San Francisco, in which many citizens died and countless contracted severe pneumonia-like illnesses. When the information was leaked, military sources insisted the bacteria were harmless, but countless thousands incurred serious urinary tract and respiratory infections, pneumonia and other illnesses, infections which were permanent: “To this day, these bacteria are a leading cause of death among the elderly in the San Francisco area”.

The US military conducted around 1,000 above-ground nuclear tests to determine the effects of radiation on a population. The Public Health Service was instructed to tell citizens downwind from nuclear bomb tests that the increases in cancers were due to neurosis, and Eisenhower ordered that women with radiation sickness, spontaneous abortions, hair loss, leukemia and brain cancer be told they were suffering from “housewife syndrome”.

A secret AEC document dated April 17, 1947, titled Medical Experiments in Humans stated:

"It is desired that no document be released which refers to experiments with humans that might have an adverse reaction on public opinion or result in legal suits. Documents covering such fieldwork should be classified Secret.”

An indication of the callous and obscene nature which has always pervaded the US government:

Kodak began receiving customer complaints about fogged film, the cause traced to packaging material – Indiana corn husks contaminated with radioactivity. The US government secretly agreed to provide Kodak with advance information on all future nuclear tests, including “expected distribution of radioactive material in order to anticipate local contamination”. The victims now tell us, “. . . the Government warned the photographic industry and provided maps and forecasts of potential contamination. Where were the warnings to parents of children in these areas? The Government protected rolls of film, but not the lives of our kids. Why did they do that when they had all the information about hot spots and fallout, and yet they did not warn the people of this country about the dangers inherent in radioactive fallout?” Their government didn’t tell them because they were the guinea pigs in the tests.

By the way, Dwight David Eisenhower was a reprehensible man who was responsible for the forcible repatriation of exiles from Russia and Eastern European nations who had fled Joseph Stalin's persecutions after World  War II. Eisenhower named his massive exercise in social engineering as "Operation Keelhaul," which was similar in effect to Andrew Jackson's forcible removal of various Indian tribes (Cherokees, Creeks, Seminoles, Choctows, Chickasaws Poncas) from Georgia and Florida to points west of the Mississip River.

And you think that we are not being lied to now about the China/Wuhan/Chinese/Covid-19/Coronavirus?

You mean the government that introduced Masonry in Catholic Mexico in 1821?

You mean the government whose forced burned the land from Atlanta to Savannah during the War between the States?

You mean the government that kept telling us in the 1960s that there was "light at the end of the tunnel" of the Vietnam War, which was fought without any policy to win?

You mean the government whose officials told us that Saddam Hussein was hiding "weapons of mass destruction" in Iran?

Great Latitude Given to Certify Deaths as Having Been Caused by the Coronavirus

A physician in the State of Montana named Dr. Annie Bukacek, who is, it would appear, a follower of some sort of Protestant “minister,” explained in a short and informative video that there is no standardized way to diagnose “Covid-19,” thus leaving physicians great discretionary latitude to guess—thale alive. Dr. Bukacek’s plain-spoken explanation of the scam that is being run at this time concerning the burlesque efforts of the medical community to include almost any death taking place in this country at this time as having been caused by “coronavirus” has been echoed by a scientist and biological engineer named Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai: Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai on Inflated Death Counts and Dr. Shiva Ayyardurai on Coronavirus Disinformation.

There is a moral to this story: Don’t go to the hospital unless one is prepared to be diagnosed with the novel coronavirus even if a test for the virus comes back with a false positive, which means one ought to be prepared for draconian measures that may very well result in one’s death.

Most of those who are dying from the China/Chinese/W uhan/Coronavirus/Covid-19 are dying in institutions, not at home.

ROME (AP) — To recover from the coronavirus, as she did, Ada Zanusso recommends courage and faith, the same qualities that have served her well in her nearly 104 years.

Italy, along with neighboring France, has Europe’s largest population of what has been dubbed the “super old" — people who are at least 100. As the nation with the world’s highest number of COVID-19 deaths, Italy is looking to its super-old survivors for inspiration.

“I’m well, I’m well,” Zanusso said Tuesday during a video call with The Associated Press from the Maria Grazia Residence for the elderly in Lessona, a town in the northern region of Piedmont. “I watch TV, read the newspapers.”

Zanusso wore a protective mask, as did her family doctor of 35 years beside her, Carla Furno Marchese, who also donned eyewear and a gown that covered her head.

Asked about her illness, Zanusso is modest: “I had some fever.”

Her doctor said Zanusso was in bed for a week.

One day she opened her eyes again and resumed doing what she used to before,” Furno Marchese said. The doctor recalled when Zanusso was able to sit up, then managed to get out of bed.

What helped her get through the illness? “Courage and strength, faith," Zanusso said. It worked for her, so she advises others who fall ill to also “give yourself courage, have faith.”

COVID-19 can cause mild or moderate symptoms, and most of those who are infected recover. But the elderly and those with existing health problems can be at high risk for more serious illness.

The virus has killed nearly 18,000 people in Italy and over 88,000 worldwide. The World Health Organization says 95% of those who have died in Europe were over 60 years old.

Under Italy’s five-week-long lockdown, which is aimed at containing the spread of infections that have overwhelmed hospitals, visitors aren’t allowed at homes for the elderly.

Her doctor asked Zanusso what she would like to do when “they open the doors.”

“I’d like to take a lovely walk,” she replied. And your three great-grandchildren? “Watch them play together.”

Deaths, hospitalizations and new infections are leveling off in Italy, and Premier Giuseppe Conte is expected to announce in the coming days how long the lockdown will remain in place, with expectations that some restrictions could be eased.

This week, Milan newspaper Corriere della Sera devoted an entire page to the stories of super-old survivors, called “healing at 100 years old.” The inspirational portraits are a counterpoint to news of large numbers of deaths among elderly people living in Italian nursing homes and other assisted-living facilities.

Of the victims, most elderly weren’t tested for COVID-19 if they died in nursing homes, so the numbers don’t figure into Italy’s overall coronavirus death toll, which is the highest in the world.

Medical staff “went through a very hard time,’’ said Furno Marchese, the doctor. “It was a great emergency with so many residents ill, so to see a positive outcome was very rewarding, not only for me, but for all the people who worked hard here nonstop."

Once again, this is not an anomalous case, an “outlier” as many in the chattering class like to say in these days.

Perhaps it was because Ada Zanusso was at Maria Grazia Residence that she was permitted to recover as even a prosecutor in Milan, Italy, has become suspicious of the number of deaths in nursing homes that have been attributed to the China/Wuhan/Chinese/Covid-19/Coronavirus. Here is a report, courtesy of an online translation, which is very rough, of this investigation:

There is the first suspect in the investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Milan on coronavirus infections and deaths among the elderly hospitalized at the Pio Albergo Trivulzio. This is the general manager of the «Baggina», Giuseppe Calicchio, who is registered in the register of suspects with the hypothesis of a crime of culpable epidemic and manslaughter. It is also the first formal step of the investigations led by the deputy prosecutors Mauro Clerici and Francesco De Tommasi, who are part of the pool directed by the assistant prosecutor Tiziana Siciliano, who deals with crimes related to medical faults and weak subjects. "He took note of the news in the press - Calicchio's lawyer Nardo said - but he is available for any clarification."

The dialogue that followed can be reconstructed as follows: «Doctor Calicchio, why do you present yourself on this occasion with your lawyer? Look, it's not a process. Left to themselves, many centenarians are able to fight off the China/Chinese/Wuha/Covid-19/Coronavirus on their own.

Indeed, a one hundred seven year-old woman in The Netherlands also has recovered from the coronavirus, and she did so without taking any medication!

A 107-year-old Dutch woman is believed to be the oldest person in the world to ever recover from the coronavirus, according to a new report.

Cornelia Ras started feeling sick on March 18, a day after her 107th birthday, at her nursing home on Goeree-Overflakkee, an island of the Netherlands, Dutch newspaper AD reported.

Ras — along with 40 other residents — became infected after attending a church service, the outlet reported.

Ras had a fever just over 100 degrees and a cough, but she never got severely ill — leading her to doubt whether she in fact had the virus, her niece Maaike de Groot told the newspaper.

But she was tested along with the other residents, and her result came back positive, according to the report.

About two-and-a-half weeks later, on Monday, doctors told Ras she was virus-free.

“We did not expect her to survive this,” her niece Maaike de Groot told the newspaper, according to a translation by Metro UK. “She takes no medicines, still walks well and gets down on her knees every night to thank the Lord. From the looks of it, she will be able to continue to do so.”

Twelve people who attended the service with Ras have since died of the virus.

As one correspondent noted in an e-mail recently, “Don’t be controlled by the mind control tactics of government propagandists the television mind control industry. To this I add: True, but we must think, as far as is possible given our fallen human nature and the imperfections that exist in this mortal vale of tears, with the mind of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as He has discharged It exclusively in His Catholic Church.

We must, therefore, be quite suspicious of the claims made by our statist minders concerning the number of those whose deaths have been caused by coronavirus. The modern healthcare industry is governed by utilitarian principles, not by the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law that have been revealed exclusively to the infallible teaching of the Catholic Church nor by the binding precepts of the Natural Law, which, though knowable by reason, is interpreted and applied authoritatively only by the Catholic Church:

Pope Pius XI noted this in Divini Illius Magistri:

Hence it is that in this proper object of her mission, that is, "in faith and morals, God Himself has made the Church sharer in the divine magisterium and, by a special privilege, granted her immunity from error; hence she is the mistress of men, supreme and absolutely sure, and she has inherent in herself an inviolable right to freedom in teaching.' By necessary consequence the Church is independent of any sort of earthly power as well in the origin as in the exercise of her mission as educator, not merely in regard to her proper end and object, but also in regard to the means necessary and suitable to attain that end. Hence with regard to every other kind of human learning and instruction, which is the common patrimony of individuals and society, the Church has an independent right to make use of it, and above all to decide what may help or harm Christian education. And this must be so, because the Church as a perfect society has an independent right to the means conducive to its end, and because every form of instruction, no less than every human action, has a necessary connection with man's last end, and therefore cannot be withdrawn from the dictates of the divine law, of which the Church is guardian, interpreter and infallible mistress.

This truth is clearly set forth by Pius X of saintly memory:

"Whatever a Christian does even in the order of things of earth, he may not overlook the supernatural; indeed he must, according to the teaching of Christian wisdom, direct all things towards the supreme good as to his last end; all his actions, besides, in so far as good or evil in the order of morality, that is, in keeping or not with natural and divine law, fall under the judgment and jurisdiction of the Church." (As quoted by Pope Pius XI in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.) 

Only a fool would contend that Pope Saint Pius X was wrong, that there is ever a moment when something we do in the "order of the things of the earth" can overlook the supernatural. Those "conservatives" who believe that they can devise plans to combat liberalism and statism and socialism of the likes promoted by the likes of the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist “left” without seeking to restore the Social Reign of Christ the King are indeed very mistaken, plain and simple. They tilt at windmills as they refuse, for whatever reason, usually involving a dogmatic adherence to a political philosophy that they contend pridefully contains the ability to "resolve" social problems, to state this simple truth: all things must be restored in Christ the King, both individually and collectively.

Over and above any legitimately, moral and effective medical/scientific means to combat a contagious disease, Holy Mother Church has given us prayer, fasting, almsgiving, sacrifice and mortification as spiritual weapons so that we can truly appease God for our sins and those of the whole world by offering up to Him whatever merit we might endure for doing so as the consecrated slave of His Co-Equal, Co-Eternal God the Son through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our chief spiritual weapon after Holy Mass is Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary, and our shields against contagious diseases and the temptations of the adversary and his minions are her Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel, her Miraculous Medal of Grace as well as the medal of Saint Benedict, which is a particular weapon against the adversary. We must make use of Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary and to shield ourselves with the spiritual weapons that are at our disposal while we remember that sin is more deadly than the Coronavirus.

Father Francis X. Wenginer, S.J.'s Easter Monday Sermon 

A sermon for Easter Monday that was written and delivered by Father Francis X. Weninger, S.J., nearly one hundred forty years ago provides us with a spiritual wake-up  call, if you will, to be serious about a permanent reformation of our lives. The entire foundation of the just social order depends upon souls being in a state of Sanctifying Grace as members of Our Lord's One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. There can be no mitigation of the current plagues, whether real or manufactured or  both, until men reform and start to make reparation for their sins.

“Those belonging to Christ shall rise first.”—1 Thessalonians, iv. 15.

“I believe in the resurrection of the body.”

So do we, children, of the Holy Catholic Church, declare our belief as we find in the Apostles’ Creed. This article of faith, Christ, in speaking of the end of the world, announced Himself in the most solemn manner. And St. Paul in his Epistle to the Corinthians, expounds the same belief, for he expressly speaks of a twofold Resurrection, viz: Either to glory or to dishonor,—for the good, to glory; for the wicked, to dishonor. But that it will surely tend to our glory, a spiritual resurrection must  have already taken place in our lives, if we have been so unhappy as to have lived in a state of sin or tepidity, which is so hateful in the sight of God.

Lent, therefore, has been instituted by the Church as a preparation for the glorious Feast of Easter; and she invites her children to spend it in such a manner that they may be ready for this happy day—be animated with a new zeal, and arise from the grave of sin or tepidity to a holy life in imitation of Christ.

But this is not the case with all who apparently celebrate Easter with the Church. The Christian may, it is true, according to that precept which commands him to do so, have made his confession; but, alas! it was illusion, for there was no amendment of life, and, consequently, no true spiritual  resurrection.

To prove the truth of this assertion, my dearest brethren, will be the object of my discourse to you to-day.

‘O Mary, who hast already risen from the death, bless, I beseech thee, the words which I direct to the hearts of thy children!

I speak in the most holy name of the risen Jesus, for the greater glory of God!

Good Friday—that  day so memorable for the human race; that day whose every hour was laden with deepest sorrow the heart can bear; that day so sad and yet so consoling for the children of Adam—has passed, and Christ lies dead in the sepulcher. A heavy stone bars the entrance to the sacred tomb; and herein we find the picture of the sinner who lies buried deep in the grave of sin.

Sin deprives our souls of the life of grace. The habit of sin is the grave which encloses the sinner; and in the stone which seals it so fast we behold an emblem of the difficulties which lie in the way of his conversion. These are: the power of habit, the fascination of evil desires, temporal gain or loss which a return to God entail; and more than all, human respect, or a servile fear of man.

Read the confession of St. Augustine, that great saint who, in his own case, experienced what a degree of self-command is required to enable poor sinners to rise from the grave of sin to a true spiritual resurrection.

Midnight passes to give place to the coming dawn. The earth trembles. What is signified by this, in relation to the different times in which the sinner has risen from spiritual death, we will clearly perceive when we consider what the Church, through the Council of Trent, teaches for the justification of the sinner.

In that twilight of faith which still lingers over the soul, the sinner begins to feel and lament his miserable condition. He shudders at the thought of the terrible judgment of God, especially when he reflects on the fate which awaits him, when, on the day of final doom, the archangel sounds his trumpet, calling the dead to arise and come to judgment. The, indeed, is it that he realizes his weakness, and the first faint gleam of hope dawns upon his soul that it may be possible for him to give up his evil habits, and be once more a child of God. And the hope becomes brighter when he remembers the infinite mercy of his Creator, and the means which God, in His infinite love, has left to His Church for the forgiveness of sins—the Sacrament of Penance.

His guardian-angel prays for him; and by the omnipotence of grace, the stone is rolled away. Temporal considerations, which were the guard around the grave of sin, take flight; and the sinner arises from that bomb in which, perhaps, he has been lying for years. Well for him it prove to be a permanent resurrection for eternal life, but, my dear brethren, this is only the case when, in his exterior, as well in his interior, life and soul, there shine forth, with steady light, those properties through which our Divine Model, Christ, raised Himself from the grave.

These are, especially, the following:

The bodies of the just, as they arise on the last day, will be luminous—that is, spiritually transfigured, agile; that is, having the power to soar aloft, filled with eternal bliss and immortal life.

In the spiritual sense, these same properties signify the true Resurrection from the death of the soul to a new spiritual life. The bodies of the blessed, as they arise from the dead, will no longer be characterized by that cumbersome weight which seem, in life, to draw them to earth; but, as St. Paul teaches, the arisen saints simultaneously soar up in the air to meet the Redeemer, even as His sacred body soared instantaneously in the triumph above the tomb.

And now, what relation does this condition of body bear to the condition of the soul of that sinner who has truly repented and arisen to a better life?

First, dearly beloved, he no longer feels the annoyance and pain which formerly pressed like a heavy weight upon his soul and bore him down, making it difficult and even impossible for him to walk in the path of virtue, to avoid the occasions of sin, and to overcome the pressure of temptation.

Now, strengthened by divine grace, he feels changed, a new life is infused into his soul, and what heretofore only inspired him with disgust, now becomes sweet and agreeable, and even tends to the recreation of his soul—such as a child-like intercourse with god and the performance of many acts of Christian piety.

The gloried bodies of the just are also agile; that is, in what place soever man thinks of being, there he is, body and soul.

Let us make the application and say, man, when in a state of habitual sin, does not proceed with fervor in the divine service. He is spiritually lame, but after his resurrection he hastens with pleasure whithersoever he is called by the whispers of grace. He can rejoice with David: “After thou has enlarged my heart I run in the way of Thy commandments.”

Before he has truly arisen, the sinner lies in the grave of sin, deep—buried deep. He has eyes, and sees not—ears, and hears not; he has hands, yet he can not use them; he has feet, yet he can not walk. Instead of the sweet odor of Christ, which St. Paul admonishes us to diffuse around, he spreads, by the mire of those sins in which he wallows, the pestilential exhalation of bad example.

Now, but a true resurrection and by leading a virtuous life, the converted sinner beholds the fulfillment spiritually of those miracles which Christ mentioned when He sent the disciples to St. John with the words: “Say to John, The blind see, the deaf hear, the dumb speak, the lame walk  , and the dead arise.”

He who has arisen to a life of grace and zeal sees clearly before him the way to perfection, perceives the inspirations of the Holy Ghost, intones by word and deed the praises of God, makes rapid strides in the path of virtue, and, advancing daily in perfection, preserves the in his soul the light and life of grace in God.

At the last day the bodies of the blessed will be filled with delight—radiant, luminous, and beautiful to behold; for Christ says: “But the just shall one by one shine like stars in the kingdom of My Father.”

What relation does this bear to the state of the sinner who has arisen from the grave of iniquity and soared to his Saivour with contrite love?

O dearly beloved in Christ Jesus, it is the fulfillment of the promise of Christ, the hundredfold consolation and delight which we taste even amid the trials and troubles of life if we faithfully imitate Him and live an interior life, hidden with God in God, thus acquiring the knowledge of those higher degrees of payer which is not given to worldlings to know.

It is also the light of good example to which Christ refers when He calls out to us: “Therefore let the light of your good works shine before men, that they may behold them, and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.”

There are especially seven rays of splendor which illumine in the life of the truly converted sinner, and those correspond to the seven gifts of the Holy Ghost. The characteristic of these sevenfold gifts of the Spirit is that they lead us to the permanent practice of the seven corresponding virtues, for the greater sanctification of our souls.

This consideration points to the last property of the glorified bodies of the saved—Immortality. In applying this to the condition of the truly converted sinner in regard to his salvation, it means, my dear brethren, “No more relapses.” “Christ is risen from death, and dies no more.” The words spoken by the angel to the holy women must, in a spiritual manner, be verified in all those who have arisen from the grave of sin: “He is no longer here.”

No; grace has penetrated the heart of that happy penitent, and he has ceased to dwell amid the willful occasions of sin. He can not be found in that place where his only aim was the gratification of his evil desires. He is, in fine, no longer a frequenter of his former wicked haunts.

What I have said here of the resurrection from the spiritual death of sin is equally applicable to the change from a state of tepidity to a life of zeal, and form a holy life to one of still greater sanctity, by the annual renewal of the celebration of this joyful feast in spirit and in truth.—Amen! There can be no true reason to hope that the totalitarianism that is beginning to show itself quite  openly and unapologetically “for own good” to “keep us safe” will eclipse anytime soon unless more and more unrepented sinners who have buried themselves into their tombs of sins that are considered “legal” by the civil law and celebrate widely in “popular culture” start to convert. Sins must be punished, and we must be punished for our sins of tepidity and worldliness that are so deadly to the sanctification and salvation of our souls.

Although this is the season of Easter joy that must never be extinguished in the life of a believing Catholic, we must nevertheless, however, recognize the need for intensifying our prayers in this holy season of celebration as we seek to make reparation for our sins, cooperate with Our Lady’s grace more readily to be converted from the old leaven of our sins to the new yeast of her  Divine Son’s Resurrection and thus make ourselves more capable of providing a good example to others to bear the crosses of the moment with joy and gratitude.

This time of trouble will pass.

The statists will get theirs soon enough.

May Our Lady help us to make use of her Divine Son’s Resurrection on Easter Sunday so that a true pope will be enthroned once again on the Throne of Saint Peter, thus resulting in Triumph of her Immaculate Heart and an end to the spread of the errors of Russia that are nothing other than the errors of the anti-Incarnational errors of Modernity that have elevated the civil state to the status of a god and subordinate Holy Mother Church to a position of servitude to those who exercise power in the name of the state.

Remember these words which Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque: “In the end I will triumph over all those who oppose Me.”
