Only the Adversary and His Fellow Minions of Hell Attack Our Lady and Her Fatima Message

There are at a few in the traditional and semi-traditional universes all across and up and down the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide who seek to denigrate, disparage, belittle or simply deny the apparitions of the Mother of God in Cova da Iria in Fatima, Portugal, that took place on the thirteenth of each month, save for the month of August when Our Lady appeared on August 19, 1917, after Jacinta and Francisco Marto and their cousin Lucia dos Santos, had been imprisoned by the Mayor of Ourem, Portugal, between May and October of 1917. Such rationalism and Jansenism places such Catholics in the same company as the lords of Modernity in the world and the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, each of which hate Our Lady and her Fatima Message with a vehemence that can only be described as diabolical as only the adversary himself seeks to denigrate the work and the words of the Mother of God, who does nothing without her Divine Son's permission. As has been noted on this site many times in the past, Our Lady does not act on her own accord.

Wednesday, May 13, 2020, was the one hundred third anniversary of Our Lady’s first apparition to the three seers, but this anniversary will be the first one since 1917 that will not feature pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima which contains the Chapel of the Apparitions. This is because the Lebanese civil authorities, acting in full concert with the disciples of Judas in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, have dispatched military forces decked out in full riot gear to keep the faithful away:

FATIMA, Portugal (ChurchMilitant.com) - In an unprecedented flexing of military muscle, thousands of Portuguese soldiers surrounded the shrine of Fátima to prevent pilgrims from entering the holy sanctuary of Our Lady.

Portugal's government launched Operation "Fátima at Home" Monday at 9 a.m. through Wednesday, stationing 3,500 troops from the National Republican Guard (GNR) to "monitor, sensitize and deter possible movements, whether on foot or in a vehicle," GNR Director of Operations Vítor Rodrigues told Rádio Renascença.

For the first time in history, the May 13 services marking the 103rd anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition to Lúcia dos Santos and Francisco and Jacinta Marto at Cova da Iria will be held without the presence of pilgrims, due to the Wuhan virus pandemic.

Rodrigues welcomed the "fantastic collaborative posture" of the Episcopal Conference of Portugal, with whom the GNR has been working "for many weeks." He assured the public there would be no "need for military force" to besiege the shrine as "the Catholic community is peaceful," and usually does not cause problems.

An Unprecedented Move at Fátima

"The 'siege' of the sanctuary of Fátima by the National Republican Guard is a scandal equal to the closure of the pools of Lourdes due to the coronavirus," Italy's leading Catholic historian Roberto de Mattei told Church Militant.

"The moral culpability of the scandal, however, does not fall on the Portuguese military, but on the ecclesiastical authorities who offered, and even collaborated with the civil authorities to prevent pilgrims from accessing the sanctuary on May 13," Prof. de Mattei maintained.

"Today's spirit of submission to the world and its powers by the bishops, not only Portuguese, suggests that in the future these very churchmen will be ready to submit to Islam, willing to live under Sharia and total subordination to those who would like to make Europe the land of Muhammad," the director of the Lepanto Foundation said.

Author of 30 books, de Mattei warned that "it was in Fátima [that the] the Blessed Virgin asked for private and public prayer and penance to ward off the punishments hanging over the world. The ban on Catholic faithful from publicly showing their devotion to Our Lady in her sanctuary brings the hour of these punishments closer, perhaps already begun with the Wuhan virus."

"Even the anti-clerical government of 1917 did not take these measures," a source in Fátima told Church Militant, relaying eye-witness accounts of how all the main roads into Fátima were taken over by police even before Monday morning.

Military personnel were stopping vehicles and asking passengers to give good reasons why the transport should be allowed to enter Fátima. Anyone entering Fátima on the 12th and 13th for no "good" reason could be fined 350 euros, the source said

"Devout Catholics in Fátima have said these measures are extreme and unnecessary and that a creative solution could have been found to allow pilgrims to celebrate the first apparition of our Lady on May 13," the source added.

The rector of the shrine, Fr. Carlos Cabecinhas told some locals that if it were up to the sanctuary priests, normal Masses with necessary precautions would already have recommenced in the Recinto of the Sanctuary and the upper church in Holy Trinity Basilica. Cabecinhas maintained that the decision had been made by the Episcopal Conference of Portugal.

Church, Not State Decision

However, in a video statement, the rector stressed that the lockdown was "an act of responsibility towards pilgrims, defending their health and well-being."

"I am truly shocked and saddened by the lack of faith and courage on the part of the Portuguese bishops," a Catholic from Fátima told Church Militant.

Portugal's president, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, told Rádio Montanha he commended bishop of Leiria-Fátima, Antonio dos Santos Marto and cardinal patriarch of Lisbon, D. Manuel Clemente, for their offer to lockdown the shrine despite the openness shown by the government to host these ceremonies.

"The church did well to suspend public worship, despite the fact that some Catholics were very shocked," said de Sousa. "When the Church defends both the right to life and the right to health, this was the only option it had," he said, asking Catholics to be patient and wait until the end of May.

Union Celebration Allowed

Meanwhile, faithful Catholics are outraged that thousands of trade unionists were allowed to participate in Labor Day celebrations on May 1 in Lisbon despite the pandemic restrictions.

The Union of Trade Unions in Lisbon secured social distancing by sticking tapes to ensure participants kept a distance of 3 meters from each other. The details were worked out with Health authorities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the security forces. Sources said the celebrations resembled a "huge military ceremony."

On the other hand, according to a government decree obtained by Church Militant, "only the celebrants, singers, guests of the Sanctuary of Fátima and their respective employees, will be permitted in the enclosure of the Sanctuary of Fátima on May 12 and 13, and must observe the physical distance of two meters between them."

"The state recognizes and classifies, in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, religious freedom as a fundamental right, which includes freedom and the right to celebrate religious rituals and ceremonies," the decree states.

It adds:

Understanding as relevant to the Portuguese Catholic community the celebration of the apparitions of Fátima, on May 13, and bearing in mind that, by complying with the terms set out in this order, public health is adequately guaranteed, it is considered justified and proportional to this celebration, which, under the terms already duly communicated by the diocese of Leiria-Fátima, will not have the physical presence of pilgrims in the sanctuary precinct this year.

In April, Church Militant reported on Cdl. Marto, bishop of the diocese of Leiria-Fátima, scoffing at orthodox cardinals and those who speak of the pandemic as divine punishment as doing so "out of ignorance, sectarian fanaticism or insanity."

Marto, elevated to the cardinalate by Pope Francis in 2018, insists that the Wuhan virus is instead a wake-up call to "rethink the financial and economic system to achieve more justice and eliminate the flagrant inequality between the world's rich minority and the majority of the poor." (Army Lays Siege to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima.)

It is useful to dispense with the preliminaries first, starting with the fact that Dr. Roberto de Mattei, who is certainly well-meaning and concerned about the good of Holy Mother Church, continues to persist in the grievous error that Catholics have a right from God to oppose and to “correct” a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. This falsehood has done more damage to the authentic Catholic teaching on the nature of the papacy and its power than have the conciliar “popes” and their minions as millions upon millions of Catholics have been deceived—and that it the word, deceived—into thinking of obedience a true pope as entirely optional calls to mind Bishop Emile Bougaud’s description of the heretical Gallicanist view of the papacy as follows:

The violent attacks of Protestantism against the Papacy, its calumnies and so manifest, the odious caricatures it scattered abroad, had undoubtedly inspired France with horror; nevertheless the sad impressions remained. In such accusations all, perhaps, was not false. Mistrust was excited., and instead of drawing closer to the insulted and outraged Papacy, France stood on her guard against it. In vain did Fenelon, who felt the danger, write in his treatise on the "Power of the Pope," and, to remind France of her sublime mission and true role in the world, compose his "History of Charlemagne." In vain did Bossuet majestically rise in the midst of that agitated assembly of 1682, convened to dictate laws to the Holy See, and there, in most touching accents, give vent to professions of fidelity and devotedness toward the Chair of St. Peter. We already notice in his discourse mention no longer made of the "Sovereign Pontiff." The "Holy See," the "Chair of St. Peter," the "Roman Church," were alone alluded to. First and alas! too manifest signs of coldness in the eyes of him who knew the nature and character of France! Others might obey through duty, might allow themselves to be governed by principle--France, never! She must be ruled by an individual, she must love him that governs her, else she can never obey.

These weaknesses should at least have been hidden in the shadow of the sanctuary, to await the time in which some sincere and honest solution of the misunderstanding could be given. But no! parliaments took hold of it, national vanity was identified with it. A strange spectacle was now seen. A people the most Catholic in the world; kings who called themselves the Eldest Sons of the Church and who were really such at heart; grave and profoundly Christian magistrates, bishops, and priests, though in the depths of their heart attached to Catholic unity,--all barricading themselves against the head of the Church; all digging trenches and building ramparts, that his words might not reach the Faithful before being handled and examined, and the laics convinced that they contained nothing false, hostile or dangerous. (Right Reverend Emile Bougaud, The Life of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. Published in 1890 by Benziger Brothers. Re-printed by TAN Books and Publishers, 1990, pp. 24-29.)

This is not difficult nor was it simply Bishop Emile Bouguad’s “opinion” about the nature of papacy. This is Catholic truth. No one can dissent, no less criticize publicly, a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter.

Additionally, among all the other pertinent citations that have been made on this site over the years, Pope Saint Pius X provided a stinging and easy to grasp reproof to anyone in the so-called "resist while recognize movement" who believes that it is possible to "love" a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter without obeying him without any kind of qualification whatsoever:

Distracted with so many occupations, it is easy to forget the things that lead to perfection in priestly life; it is easy [for the priest] to delude himself and to believe that, by busying himself with the salvation of the souls of others, he consequently works for his own sanctification. Alas, let not this delusion lead you to error, because nemo dat quod nemo habet [no one gives what he does not have]; and, in order to sanctify others, it is necessary not to neglect any of the ways proposed for the sanctification of our own selves….

The Pope is the guardian of dogma and of morals; he is the custodian of the principles that make families sound, nations great, souls holy; he is the counsellor of princes and of peoples; he is the head under whom no one feels tyrannized because he represents God Himself; he is the supreme father who unites in himself all that may exist that is loving, tender, divine.

It seems incredible, and is even painful, that there be priests to whom this recommendation must be made, but we are regrettably in our age in this hard, unhappy, situation of having to tell priests: love the Pope!

And how must the Pope be loved? Non verbo neque lingua, sed opere et veritate. [Not in word, nor in tongue, but in deed, and in truth - 1 Jn iii, 18] When one loves a person, one tries to adhere in everything to his thoughts, to fulfill his will, to perform his wishes. And if Our Lord Jesus Christ said of Himself, “si quis diligit me, sermonem meum servabit,” [if any one love me, he will keep my word - Jn xiv, 23] therefore, in order to demonstrate our love for the Pope, it is necessary to obey him.

Therefore, when we love the Pope, there are no discussions regarding what he orders or demands, or up to what point obedience must go, and in what things he is to be obeyed; when we love the Pope, we do not say that he has not spoken clearly enough, almost as if he were forced to repeat to the ear of each one the will clearly expressed so many times not only in person, but with letters and other public documents; we do not place his orders in doubt, adding the facile pretext of those unwilling to obey – that it is not the Pope who commands, but those who surround him; we do not limit the field in which he might and must exercise his authority; we do not set above the authority of the Pope that of other persons, however learned, who dissent from the Pope, who, even though learned, are not holy, because whoever is holy cannot dissent from the Pope.

This is the cry of a heart filled with pain, that with deep sadness I express, not for your sake, dear brothers, but to deplore, with you, the conduct of so many priests, who not only allow themselves to debate and criticize the wishes of the Pope, but are not embarrassed to reach shameless and blatant disobedience, with so much scandal for the good and with so great damage to souls. (Pope Saint Pius X, Allocution Vi ringrazio to priests on the 50th anniversary of the Apostolic Union, November 18, 1912, as found at: RORATE CÆLI: “Love the Pope!” – no ifs, and no buts: For Bishops, priests, and faithful, Saint Pius X explains what loving the Pope really entails.)

Well, why not one more proof of the fact that Dr. Roberto de Mattei takes an erroneous position on the nature of the papacy and obedience that Catholics must render unto a true and legitimate Supreme Pontiff?

Sure, I am glad that you asked.

Dom Prosper Gueranger’s description of Pope Saint Clement I’s epistle contains a simple statement of Catholic truth about the papacy that is impossible to ignore as such unless one does not want to lose human respect or face the reality that he is wrong and that does not have access to the true Sacraments and is part, no matter his good will and however unwittingly, of a false religious sect that is the counterfeit ape of the Catholic Church:

There is nothing in it of a domineering spirit; but the grave and solemn language bespeaks the universal pastor, whom none can disobey without disobeying God Himself. (Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., The Liturgical Year.)

Additionally, Saint Vincent de Paul, the founder of the Congregation of the Mission and an apostle of charity for the poor and forgotten, inveighed against Jansenism and urged one and all to obey Pope Innocent’s papal bull condemning it without making any reservation or qualification as befits the docile obedience must render and the docile submission that a Catholic must demonstrate at all times to a legitimate Successor of Saint Peter.

At issue were five points that Bishop Jacques-Benigne Lignel Bossuet had summarized from Cornelius Jansen’s Augustinus that were deemed to be heretical. Saint Vincent himself worked to gather signatures to have the five propositions be condemned by Pope Innocent X:

Denounced to the Sorbonne in July 1649, these five propositions were referred to Rome in a letter signed by nearly eighty-five bishops. Our saint worked hard to obtain these signatures. He wrote on all sides, and even got Anne of Austria to apply to the Pope to hasten the definition of faith on the point. “I have made my prayers,” he said, “for three months on the doctrine of grace, and God, by new lights every day, has confirmed me in the belief that our Lord died for all, and that He wished to save every one.” And so, too, as regards the question of grace being given to all and sufficient for all “Truly I cannot understand how a God, so infinitely good, who every day stretches forth His hands to embrace sinners, expandi manus meas quotidie, could have the heart to refuse grace to all those who ask it, and allow Himself to be excelled in goodness by David, who sought among his enemies some one to who he might be merciful.”

It is thus Saint Vincent discovers in his own heart, in the intuitions of his spiritual life, the true answer to the cruel sophisms of this heresy.

While Saint Vincent was collecting the signatures for the letter to be forwarded to the Pope denouncing the five propositions, he was uniting with M. Olier and M. Bretonvilliers, to send theologians to Rome to show the danger to which these propositions  were exposing the Church of France. The Jansenists had already sent others, especially Pere des Mares, the celebrated Oratorian. It is not our business to recount the endless discussions which then took place; the meetings of the special congregations appointed by the Pope, and at ten or twelve of which, each lasting for three or four hours, Innocent X, thought it his duty to be present; or the last and solemn sitting, at which Pere des Mares spoke for four hours before the Pope; and the innumerable other conferences of a similar kind, until at last, on June 9, 1653, Innocent X., having recommended himself to God in prayer, summoned one of his secretaries and dictated the Bull Cum occasione. The same evening it was promulgated in Rome, and immediately forwarded to France.

Here are the five points contained in Pope Innocent X’s Cum Occisione, May 31, 1653:

1092. 1. Some of God’s precepts are impossible to the just, who wish and strive to keep them, according to the present powers which they have; the grace, by which they are made possible, is also wanting.

Declared and condemned as rash, impious, blasphemous, condemned by anathema and heretical.

1093. 2. In the state of fallen nature one never resists interior grace.

Declared and condemned as heretical.

1094. 3. In order to merit or demerit in the state of fallen nature, freedom from necessity is not required in man, from freedom from external compulsion in sufficient.

Declared and condemned as heretical.

1095. 4. The Semipelagians admitted the necessity of a prevenient interior grace for each act, even for the beginning of faith; and in this they were heretics, because they wished this grace to be such that the human will could either resistor obey.

Declared and condemned as false and heretical.

1096. 5. It is Semipelagian to say that Christ died or shed His blood for all men without exception.

Declared and condemned as false, rash, scandalous, and understood in this sense, Christ died for the salvation of the predestined, impious, blasphemous, contumelious, dishonoring to divine piety, and heretical. (Pope Innocent X, Cum Occisione, “The Errors of Cornelius Jansen,” May 31, 1658. As found in Denziger, Nos. 1092-1096, p. 316.) [The date listed in Denziger is erroneous. May 31, 1653, was the actual date of the bull’s issuance, noting that Bishop listed it as June 9, 1653.]

Bishop Emile Bougaud then explained the joy of Saint Vincent de Paul upon receiving the text of Cum Occisione and the necessity of everyone submitting to it:

The joy of Saint Vincent when the Bull arrived was profound. He immediately wrote to Mgr. Alain de Solminihac, Bishop of Cahors: “My lord, I am sending you most agreeable news – the condemnation of the Jansenists, their five propositions having been declared heretical on June 9. The Bull was published the same day in Rome, and reached Paris on the feast of Saint Peter. Their Majesties received it very warmly, and his Eminence is about to put it in force. All Paris is rejoicing, at least those better disposed, and the others declare their willingness to submit. M. Singlin, who, with M. Arnault, is one of the leaders, has acknowledged that the Holy See must be obeyed, and M. Hamel, cure of Saint-Merri, one of the foremost, is in like dispositions and ready to publish the Bull in his church. Many of the others, as M. and Zmmme. De Liancourt, declare they are no longer what they were. In a word, it is expected that all will acquiesce. Not, indeed, that some did not find it difficult to submit, saying that although the opinions of Jansenius are condemned, there are not. I only heard this from one person. So great a blessing, my lord, is this decision, that everybody here rejoices, and those who saw the evil that the strife was causing cannot feel sufficiently grateful.” (Letters, vol. I. p. 554.)

At the same time he went to Port-Royal, having been told that the recluses, the disciples of Saint-Cyran, had resolved to fully submit to the Bull. He spent several hours with them, tenderly congratulated them on their obedience to the Holy See, and showed them every mark of esteem, affection and confidence. Alas! That absolute submission to the Pope was destined to last but a day.

We may well conclude that a man so zealous to shield from error both the sheep and their shepherds was ever watchful over his own Congregation and each of its members. “O Jesus,” he would say, “it is not expedient for us to maintain different opinions in the little Company; we must always be of one mind, otherwise we shall be torn asunder among ourselves! And the remedy is to submit to the Superior's opinion. I say it is not to the superior that we submit, but to God, to the Popes, the councils, the saints; and should any one be unwilling to do so, it will be best for him to leave, and that is what the Company wishes. Many orders in the Church afford us this example. The Discalced Carmelites, in their chapter last year, ordained that their professors of theology should teach the long-established opinions of the Church and oppose novelties. Every one knows that the Jesuits act likewise, while the Congregation of Saint Genevieve follows the opinions of Saint Augustine, which we do too, explaining, however, Saint Augustine by the Council of Trent, and not the Council of Trent by Saint Augustine, for the first is infallible, the second is not.” One day he was asked what should be done to moderate the harshness towards the Port-Royal party. “Why drive them to extremities? Would it not be better to come to an agreement? They are disposed for it if treated with more moderation, and there is no one better suited than you to soften the irritation on both sides, and to effect a complete reconciliation.”

--Sir,” Saint Vincent merely replied, “when a decision is given, there is nothing to be done but submit to it. What union can we make with them if they have not an honest and sincere intention of submitting? How can we modify what the Church has decided? It is a matter of faith, which cannot be altered or tampered with, and consequently we cannot accommodate it to suit their sentiments. It is for them to submit their private judgment, and confidently unite with us by a true and sincere submission to the head of the Church. Without that, sir, the only thing we can do is to pray for their conversion.”

It was by such vigour of thought, such force of expression, such ardour and firmness of doctrine, that Saint Vincent preserved his Congregation from all taint of Jansenism. How admirable! Of the three Congregations seemingly raised up by God for the education of the French clergy, the first was unwillingly and in a mysterious manner led away from this employment, and alone was affected by Jansenism. The other two, that of Saint Vincent de Paul and that of M. Olier, remained absolutely exempt. Free from all error, as deeply conscious as the Abbe Saint-Cyran of the divinity of our Lord, of the grace of His priesthood, of the holiness necessary for priests, but without his exaggerations or excesses, they began to form that great clergy of France which was the wonder of the second half of the seventeenth century, which traversed the wretched and impure eighteenth with little loss, and was still fresh and vigorous enough in 1793 to yield confessors and martyrs, and after exile and persecution, to win the reputation of being the holiest, the purest and the grandest of any clergy.  (Bishop Emile Bougaud, History of St. Vincent de Paul, Founder of the Congregation of the Mission and of the Sisters of Charity, Longmans, Green and Co., 19 Paternoster Row, London, 1899, pp. 204-208.)

It is important for present purposes to highlight one passage from Bishop Bougaud’s biography on Saint Vincent de Paul that is worth repeating and highlighting in order to demonstrate the absolute incompatibility between the “resist while recognize” position, which is, after all, a recrudescence of Gallicanism, itself condemned as a heresy, and the true Catholic teaching concerning the unyielding submission that Catholics must render to a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter and Vicar of Our Lord Jesus Christ on earth:

--Sir,” Saint Vincent merely replied, “when a decision is given, there is nothing to be done but submit to it. What union can we make with them if they have not an honest and sincere intention of submitting? How can we modify what the Church has decided? It is a matter of faith, which cannot be altered or tampered with, and consequently we cannot accommodate it to suit their sentiments. It is for them to submit their private judgment, and confidently unite with us by a true and sincere submission to the head of the Church. Without that, sir, the only thing we can do is to pray for their conversion.”

There must never be any compromise on matters of truth. None. There is nothing to "discuss" or, to use a term that has been popularized by the conciliar revolutionaries, "dialogue" about as truth is irreformable. Truth exists. Truth does not depend upon human acceptance for its binding force or validity. Truth is. Period. No compromises.

Anyone who can still claim after reading these quotes that he is not certain about the papal vacancy that has existed since the death of Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958, has fallen prey to the Kantianism’s supposition of the impossibility of knowing anything for certain, a supposition that had been advanced by Michel de Montaigne during the Renaissance.

The fact that the conciliar “popes” have been imposters and that the conciliar church is a false religious sect might have been difficult to accept for  a long time—and I certainly took a long time to see it!, but Bergoglio has made it easy. Real easy. All one has to do is to embrace the truth and thus to endure the slings and arrows of other Catholics and to suffer loss of human respect and massive humiliation. Isn’t truth worth such wonderful offerings to make to the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity?

The "Joys" of Separation of Church and State in Portugal Have Led to the Subordination of the Conciliar Church to the Civil State

A supreme irony in what happened with the militiary siege of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Fatima, Portugal, last week is that it was ten years ago this very month that none other than the man who has a most undeserved reputation for being the "restorer of tradition," Joseph Alois Ratzinger, who has made warfare against the nature of dogmatic truth the hallmark of his Hegelian "new theology" that is both philosophically absurd and has been condemned solemnly the [First] Vatican Council as well as denounced by Pope Saint Pius X in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907, and in The Syllabus of Errors, September 1, 1910, and by Pope Pius XII in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950, which was a specific rejoinder to the "new theologian" that Ratzinger had embraced in seminary before his priestly ordination on June 29, 1951, praised the existence separation of Church and State in Portugal that had been condemned in no uncertain terms by Pope Saint Pius X ninety-nine years before:

From a wise vision of life and of the world, the just ordering of society follows. Situated within history, the Church is open to cooperating with anyone who does not marginalize or reduce to the private sphere the essential consideration of the human meaning of life. The point at issue is not an ethical confrontation between a secular and a religious system, so much as a question about the meaning that we give to our freedom. What matters is the value attributed to the problem of meaning and its implication in public life. By separating Church and State, the Republican revolution which took place 100 years ago in Portugal, opened up a new area of freedom for the Church, to which the two concordats of 1940 and 2004 would give shape, in cultural settings and ecclesial perspectives profoundly marked by rapid change. For the most part, the sufferings caused by these transformations have been faced with courage. Living amid a plurality of value systems and ethical outlooks requires a journey to the core of one’s being and to the nucleus of Christianity so as to reinforce the quality of one’s witness to the point of sanctity, and to find mission paths that lead even to the radical choice of martyrdom. (Official Reception at Lisbon Portela International Airport, Tuesday, May 11, 2010.)

Apostasy.

"By separating Church and State, the Republican revolution which took place 100 years ago in Portugal, opened up a  new area of freedom for the Church"?

What has been the fruit of the counterfeit church of conciliarism's "reconciliation" with the thesis deemed "absolutely false" by Pope Saint Pius X in Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906?

Surgical baby-killing up to the tenth week of a baby’s development in his mother’s womb had been “legalized” in Portugal in 2007, fully three years before Ratzinger/Benedict made his “pastoral pilgrimage” to celebrate the “civilization of love.” Although some restrictions were put on abortion by the “center-right” Portuguese government in 2015, baby-killing still remains legal. So, for that matter, is “marriage” between two people of the same gender.

Yet it is that Ratzinger/Benedict praised the “progress” Portugal had made as an example of the “civilization of love.”

Catholic civic officials who have felt free to ignore the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law as they have promoted divorce, contraception, sterilization, abortion and, among other evils, perversity as "rights" that must be "recognized" and protected by the civil law. The names of such men are legion. Legion. "Gay marriage" and the surgical execution of children were already "legal" in Portugal when Ratzinger/Benedict XVI visited in 2010.

Blasphemy has become commonplace.

Entire nations have become sewers of impurity, of indecency, of immodesty, of blasphemy, of barbarism.

Yet it is that "Saint John Paul II," who was born one hundred years ago yesterday, Monday, May 16, 1920, Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and Jorge Mario Bergoglio have praised the very thing that has helped to convince Catholics worldwide that they can promote in public life things that are repugnant to the peace and happiness of eternity, that they can sin with impunity without fear of any sanctions as long as they do not question the philosophically absurd and dogmatically condemned "hermeneutic of continuity" and as long as they do not "insult" the "feelings" of those who adhere to false religions, most especially those who adhere to the Talmud.

Pluralism strengthens sanctity within the soul?

Guess again.

Pope Saint Pius X specifically condemned the very separation of Church and State in Portugal that Emeritus Antipope Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI had praised in 2010:

2. Whilst the new rulers of Portugal were affording such numerous and awful examples of the abuse of power, you know with what patience and moderation this Apostolic See has acted towards them. We thought that We ought most carefully to avoid any action that could even have the appearance of hostility to the Republic. For We clung to the hope that its rulers would one day take saner counsels and would at length repair, by some new agreement, the injuries inflicted on the Church. In this, however, We have been altogether disappointed, for they have now crowned their evil work by the promulgation of a vicious and pernicious Decree for the Separation of Church and State. But now the duty imposed upon Us by our Apostolic charge will not allow Us to remain passive and silent when so serious a wound has been inflicted upon the rights and dignity of the Catholic religion. Therefore do We now address you, Venerable Brethren, in this letter and denounce to all Christendom the heinousness of this deed.

3. At the outset, the absurd and monstrous character of the decree of which We speak is plain from the fact that it proclaims and enacts that the Republic shall have no religion, as if men individually and any association or nation did not depend upon Him who is the Maker and Preserver of all things; and then from the fact that it liberates Portugal from the observance of the Catholic religion, that religion, We say, which has ever been that nation's greatest safeguard and glory, and has been professed almost unanimously by its people. So let us take it that it has been their pleasure to sever that close alliance between Church and State, confirmed though it was by the solemn faith of treaties. Once this divorce was effected, it would at least have been logical to pay no further attention to the Church, and to leave her the enjoyment of the common liberty and rights which belong to every citizen and every respectable community of peoples. Quite otherwise, however, have things fallen out. This decree bears indeed the name of Separation, but it enacts in reality the reduction of the Church to utter want by the spoliation of her property, and to servitude to the State by oppression in all that touches her sacred power and spirit. (Pope Saint Pius X, Iamdudum, May 24, 1911.)

That the Holy See made an accommodation to the reality caused by the Portuguese decree of separation of Church and State and had its property and many of its privileges restored in the Concordat  of 1940 in no way justifies the revolution against the Social Reign of Christ the King in Portugal wrought by the Masonic and socialistic forces there one hundred tenyears ago. Holy Mother Church has long sought to accommodate herself to the concrete realities of any given situation in which her children find themselves so that she can continue her work of teaching and preaching and sanctification without the hindrance of the civil state. To reach a concordat that recognizes the reality of a forced separation of Church and State is not the same thing as endorsing that false thesis or to praise the free flow of false ideas and organizations that have occurred in its wake.

Pope Saint Pius X, far from praising a revolution that suppressed much of the Church's liberties for thirty years prior to the Concordat of 1940, understood that the life of the Church and thus the good of souls in Portugal would be irreparably harmed by the decree of separation of Church and State that was praised by Ratzinger/Benedict yesterday upon his arrival in Lisbon, Portugal:

The way in which the Portuguese law binds and fetters the liberty of the Church is scarcely credible, so repugnant is it to the methods of these modern days and to the public proclamation of all liberty. It is decreed under the heaviest penalties that the acts of the Bishops shall on no account be printed and that not even within the walls of the churches shall there be any announcement made to the people except by leave of the Republic. It is, moreover, forbidden to perform any ceremony outside the precincts of the sacred buildings without permission from the Republic, to go round in procession, to wear sacred vestments or even the cassock. Furthermore, it is forbidden to place any sign which savors of the Catholic religion not only on public monuments, but even on private buildings; but there is no prohibition at all against so exposing what is offensive to Catholics. Similarly, it is unlawful to form associations for the fostering of religion and piety; indeed societies of this sort are placed on a level with the criminal associations which are formed for evil purposes. And whilst on the one hand all citizens are allowed to employ their means according to their pleasure, on the other, Catholics are, against all justice and equity, placed under restrictions like these if they wish to bequeath something for prayers for the dead, or the upkeep of divine worship; and such bequests already made are impiously diverted to other purposes in utter violation of the wills and wishes of the testators. In fine, the Republic -- and this is harshest and gravest stroke of all -- goes so far as to invade the domain of the authority of the Church, and to make provisions on points which, as they concern the constitution of the priesthood, necessarily claim the special care of the Church. We speak of the formation and training of young ecclesiastics. For not only does the Decree compel ecclesiastical students to pursue their scientific and literary studies which precede theology in the public lycees where, by reason of a spirit of hostility to God and the Church, the integrity of their faith plainly is exposed to the greatest peril; but the Republic even interferes in the domestic life and discipline of the Seminaries, and arrogates the right of appointing the professors, of approving of the textbooks and of regulating the sacred studies of the Clerics. Thus are the old decrees of the Regalists revived and enforced; but what was grievous arrogance whilst there was concord between Church and State, is it not now, when the State will have nothing to do with Church, repugnant and full of absurdity? And what is to be said of the fact that this law is positively framed to deprave the morals of the clergy and to provoke them to abandon their superiors? For fixed pensions are assigned to those who have been suspended from their functions by the authority of the Bishops, and benefices are given to those priests who in miserable forgetfulness of their duty shall have dared to contract marriage; and what is still more shameful to record, it extends the same benefits to be shared and enjoyed by any children there may be of such a sacrilegious union. (Pope Saint Pius X, Iamdudum, May 24, 1911.)

The revolution praised by Ratzinger/Benedict yesterday did not open up a "new era of freedom for the Church" as the subsequent concordats (1940 and (2004) sought only to limit the effects of a revolution that had its inspiration from the same source as conciliarism, the devil himself. Unlike the concordat of 1940, which was negotiated under the pontificate of our last true pope thus far, Pope Pius XII, the concordat negotiated by the then Secretary of State of the Holy See, Angelo "Cardinal" Sodano (another of the troika that helped to deconstruct Our Lady's Fatima Message), specifically recognized and accepted the separation of Church and Sate in Portugal:

The Holy See and the Portuguese Republic, recognising that the Catholic Church and the State are, each and severally, autonomous and independent; taking into account the deep and historical ties between the Catholic Church and Portugal and bearing in mind the reciprocal responsibilities which bind them together, within the limits of religious freedom, and for the benefit of the common good and the duty of building a society which promotes the dignity of the mankind, justice and peace; recognising the Concordat of 7 May 1940, agreed between the Holy See and the Portuguese Republic, and its application has contributed to a considerable extent in to strengthen their historical ties and consolidate the activity of the Catholic Church in Portugal for the benefit of the faithful and for the Portuguese community in general; mindful of the need of an up-date in the light of profound changes on a national and international scale, and in particular as regards the Portuguese legal system, the new Democratic Constitution, revised provisions of European Community law and contemporary international law, and in so far as this affects the church, and the evolution of its relations with the political community; have agreed to stipulate the following Concordat in the terms laid down:

Article 1

The Holy See and the Portuguese Republic declare the commitment of the state and the Catholic Church to cooperate in promoting the dignity of mankind, justice and peace.

The Portuguese Republic recognises the legal status of the Catholic Church.

Relations between the Holy See and the Portuguese Republic are assured through the auspices of an Apostolic Nuncio, as attaché to the Portuguese Republic, and a Portuguese Ambassador to the Holy See. ( Church-State Concordat in Portugal 2004)

Circumstances within countries do change. Granted. Concordats may need to be amended from time to time. Certainly. Catholic teaching remains immutable, and one of the articles of Catholic teaching that remains immutable is the condemnation of the separation of Church and State:

Many believe in or claim that they believe in and hold fast to Catholic doctrine on such questions as social authority, the right of owning private property, on the relations between capital and labor, on the rights of the laboring man, on the relations between Church and State, religion and country, on the relations between the different social classes, on international relations, on the rights of the Holy See and the prerogatives of the Roman Pontiff and the Episcopate, on the social rights of Jesus Christ, Who is the Creator, Redeemer, and Lord not only of individuals but of nations. In spite of these protestations, they speak, write, and, what is more, act as if it were not necessary any longer to follow, or that they did not remain still in full force, the teachings and solemn pronouncements which may be found in so many documents of the Holy See, and particularly in those written by Leo XIII, Pius X, and Benedict XV.

There is a species of moral, legal, and social modernism which We condemn, no less decidedly than We condemn theological modernism.

It is necessary ever to keep in mind these teachings and pronouncements which We have made; it is no less necessary to reawaken that spirit of faith, of supernatural love, and of Christian discipline which alone can bring to these principles correct understanding, and can lead to their observance. This is particularly important in the case of youth, and especially those who aspire to the priesthood, so that in the almost universal confusion in which we live they at least, as the Apostle writes, will not be "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive." (Ephesians iv, 14) (Pope Pius XI, Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922.)

Pope Pius XII made it clear in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950, that we are duty bound to accept papal encyclical letters, something that Ratzinger/Benedict does not believe applies to the "older" encyclical letters condemning the separation of Church and State as he believes that those letters were conditioned by the historical circumstances in which they were written, thus making them subject to modification at a later time. Once again, however, this is false. Catholic truth is immutable, admitting that it may not be possible always in the circumstances of the world to realize this teaching with exactness. He is as bound as each of one us to accept and to preach the immutable teaching that the civil state has an obligation to recognize the Catholic Church and to accord her the favor and the protection of the laws:

Nor must it be thought that what is expounded in Encyclical Letters does not of itself demand consent, since in writing such Letters the Popes do not exercise the supreme power of their Teaching Authority. For these matters are taught with the ordinary teaching authority, of which it is true to say: "He who heareth you, heareth me"; and generally what is expounded and inculcated in Encyclical Letters already for other reasons appertains to Catholic doctrine. But if the Supreme Pontiffs in their official documents purposely pass judgment on a matter up to that time under dispute, it is obvious that that matter, according to the mind and will of the same Pontiffs, cannot be any longer considered a question open to discussion among theologians. (Pope Pius XII, Humani Generis, August 12, 1950.)

Unlike Ratzinger/Benedict, who praised the decree of the separation of Church and State as a "liberating" factor in the life of the Catholic Church, Pope Saint Pius X condemned it very vigorously:

Accordingly, under the admonition of the duty of Our Apostolic office that, in the face of such audacity on the part of the enemies of God, We should most vigilantly protect the dignity and honor of religion and preserve the sacred rights of the Catholic Church, We by our Apostolic authority denounce, condemn, and reject the Law for the Separation of Church and State in the Portuguese Republic. This law despises God and repudiates the Catholic faith; it annuls the treaties solemnly made between Portugal and the Apostolic See, and violates the law of nature and of her property; it oppresses the liberty of the Church, and assails her divine Constitution; it injures and insults the majesty of the Roman Pontificate, the order of Bishops, the Portuguese clergy and people, and so the Catholics of the world. And whilst We strenuously complain that such a law should have been made, sanctioned, and published, We utter a solemn protest against those who have had a part in it as authors or helpers, and, at the same time, We proclaim and denounce as null and void, and to be so regarded, all that the law has enacted against the inviolable rights of the Church. (Pope Saint Pius X, Iamdudum, May 24, 1911.)

The contrast cannot be much clearer.

Pope Saint Pius X had made it clear in Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906, that the the "Roman Pontiffs have never ceased, as circumstances required, to refute and condemn the doctrine of the separation of Church and State." The conciliar "popes" have endorsed what is opposed what our true popes have denounced as offensive to the rights of Christ the King and to the right ordering of men and their nations.

I don't why this is so difficult to understand or to accept, but the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, is immutable. He does not inspire Holy Mother Church to teach one thing for one thousand nine hundred years before changing course. To believe this is to disbelieve in the very nature of God Himself, and that, you see, is at the base of all that one needs to know about the counterfeit church of conciliarism and its willing subordination to the lords of the anti-Incarnational civil state of Protestant/Judeo-Masonic Modernity.

The Conciliarists’ Constant Warfare Against Our Lady and Her Fatima Message

The fact that it was the conciliar revolutionaries themselves who asked the Portuguese to send military troops to keep pilgrims away from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima yesterday, Wednesday, May 13, 1917, should be entirely unsurprising as they have been making warfare uplon her very directly since Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII opened the third secret on May 13, 1917, and turned to Silvio Cardinal Oddi, telling him, “This is nonsense! This is not for our time.” Obviously, any discussion of heresy and of cardinals fighting cardinals did not fit in with Roncalli’s vision of the “merciful church” as opposed to the “correcting church.” This was the start of the Fatima Message’s deconstruction by the conciliar authorities, which reached its pinnacle with the release of a false “Third Secret” that sought to put an end to any discussion concerning heresy and of cardinals fighting cardinals.

It is this part of the Third Secret that caused the conciliar revolutionaries to undertake their clumsy and sometimes transparent efforts to replicate within the walls of the Vatican, which is now conciliar-occupied territory, what the Artur de Oliveira Santos did in Ourem: silence the Fatima Message once and for all. Consider these passages from the resist while recognize book, The Devil's Fatima Battle, edited by Reverend Paul Kramer, published by Good Counsel Publications in 2002. One must ignore the references to "cardinals" and "popes" was a product of the "resist while recognize" movement:

First, as Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Sodano is literally the most powerful figure in the Church today, given the reorganization of the Roman Curia under Pope Paul VI; and, as such, Cardinal Sodano is the de facto rule of the daily affairs of the Church, especially given the failing health of the Supreme Pontiff.

Second, owing to the same curial reforms of Pope Paul VI, Cardinal Sodano stands at the head of every Vatican dicastery, including the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), which (when it was called the Holy Office) was formerly headed by the Pope.

Third, it is Cardinal Sodano who has dictated what we have called the Party Line on Fatima: i.e., the falsehood that he Message of Fatima, including the Third Secret, belongs entirely to the past., and that no one may request any longer the Consecration of Russia. We know this because:

    • it was Cardinal Sodano, not the Pope, who announced to the world on May 13, 2000 that the Third Secret would be revealed, but only after a "commentary" had been prepared by the CDF, which, again, is subordinated to him, and
    • it was Cardinal Sodano's "interpretation" of the Third Secret that w as cited no fewer than four times in the CDF's commentary The Message of Fatima (TMF).
    • Fourth, Cardinal Sodano, as the de facto ruler of daily Church affairs, has vigorously enforced the new orientation of the Church in the manner of Fatima We know this because,
    • Cardinal Sodano took control of the "interpretation" of the Third Secret and its false reduction to a thing of the past, along with the rest of the Fatima Message.
    • One day after the publication of TMF, Cardinal Sodano pointedly demonstrated his adherence to the new orientation by inviting Mikhail Gorbachev, the pro-abortion, ex-Soviet dictator, to the Vatican for a bogus "press conference" (no questions allowed), during which Cardinal Sodano, Gorbachev and Cardinal Silvestrini sat together to heap praise on a key element of the new orientation, developed by Cardinal Sodano's predecessor, Cardinal Cassaroli, namely, Ostpolitik, under which the Church "dialogues" with Communist regimes rather than opposing them, and observes diplomatic silence in the face of Communist persecution of the Church
    • Cardinal Sodano's representative, Cardinal Cassidy, negotiated the Balamand Declaration (1993) which (Reverend Paul Kramer, The Devil’s Final Battle, Good Counsel Publications, 2002.)declares that the return of the Orthodox to Rome is "outdated ecclesiology"--as is, therefore, (according to Cardinal Sodano) the conversion of Russia to the Catholic Faith called for by Our Lady of Fatima. . . .

The Devil's Final Battle also discussed the role played by Joseph Alois “Cardinal” Ratzinger in deconstructing and misinterpreting the Third Secret of Fatima:

First, Cardinal Ratzinger, in his capacity as head of the CDF, has on innumerable occasions stated his commitment to the new orientation of the Church, which he described as "demolition of bastions" in a book published after he had become head of the CDF.

Second, in accordance with this "demolition of bastions", Cardinal Ratzinger has openly declared his view that Blessed Pius IX and St. Pius X were "one-sided" in their solemn, infallible condemnation of liberalism, and that their teaching was "countered" by Vatican II. He further declares that the Catholic Church no loner seeks to convert all the Protestants and schismatics, and that it is no right to "absorb" their "churches and ecclesial communities," but must make a place for them in a "unity of diversity"--a view that is obviously irreconcilable with the consecration and conversion of Russia to the Catholic Faith. Cardinal Ratzinger's view is, to say the least, suspect of heresy.

Third, one of the "bastions" Cardinal Ratzinger has sought to "demolish" is the traditional Catholic understanding of the Message of Fatima.

Fourth, Cardinal Ratzinger sought to demolish the bastion of Fatima in TMF, which he published under the control of Cardinal Sodano.

Fifth, TMF attempts to destroy the authentic Catholic prophetic content of the Message by the following exegetical frauds:

    • Cardinal Ratzinger removed the words "in the end" from the Virgin's prophecy "In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph."
    • Cardinal Ratzinger also cropped the immediately following words from the Fatima prophecy: "The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and it will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.
    • Having deliberately tampered with the words of the Mother of God, Cardinal Ratzinger then declared that the (predicted future) Triumph of the Immaculate Heart means only Mary's fiat, 2,000 years ago, in consenting to be the Mother of the Redeemer.
    • Cardinal Ratzinger thus deliberately ignored the Virgin's prophecy of four future events surrounding the consecration and conversion of Russia, and deliberately reduced them all to one event--Her fiat in 1 B.C.
    • Concerning devotion to the Immaculate Heart, which Our Lady of Fatima announced that God wills to establish in the world, Cardinal Ratzinger dared to say that devotion to the one and only Immaculate Heart of Mary means nothing more than following Mary's example by achieving an "immaculate heart" of one's own, through "interior unity" with God.
    • By means of this grotesque and blasphemous "interpretation," Cardinal Ratzinger debases the Mother of God Herself in order to sever any link between devotion to the Immaculate Heart in the world, and Our Lady of Fatima's call for the conversion of Russia to the Catholic religion, which must precede true devotion to the Immaculate Heart in that nation since the Russian Orthodox religion does not recognize the dogma of the Immaculate Conception.

Sixth, Cardinal Ratzinger, following Cardinal Sodano's Party Line, stated in TMF that "we must affirm with Cardinal Sodano: ...the events to which the third part of the 'secret' of Fatima refers now seem part of the past", and (according to Cardinal Sodano's "interpretation") that the Third Secret culminated with the failed assassination attempt in 1981.

Seventh, in adopting the Sodano Party Line on the Third Secret, Cardinal Ratzinger flatly contradicted his own testimony in 1984--three years after the assassination attempt--that the Third Secret is a "religious prophecy" concerning "dangers to the faith and the life of the Christian, and therefore the world", on which occasion Cardinal Ratzinger made no suggestion that the Secret pertained to the 1981 assassination attempt or any other past event.

Eighth, in furtherance of the Party Line, Cardinal Ratzinger went out of his way to criticize Father Nicholas Gruner at the press conference of June 26, 2000, advising the world press that Father Gruner "must be submissive to the Magisterium" and accept the alleged 1984 consecration of the world as a consecration of Russia. That is, according to Cardinal Ratzinger, Father Gruner must submit to Cardinal Sodano's Party Line. Cardinal Ratzinger's claim is false because there has been no binding, authoritative pronouncement of the Magisterium--not the Pope, not a Council, not the Ordinary and Universal Magisterium.

Ninth, in sum, Cardinal Ratzinger, carrying out the Party Line, deliberately used his position as head of the CDF to lend the false appearance of theological weight and validity to a shameless "deconstruction" of the Message of Fatima--an effort so blatant that even the Los Angeles Times sub-headlined its coverage of TMF and the June 26, 2000 press conference as follows: "The Vatican's Top Theologian Gently Debunks a Nun's Account of Her 1917 Vision that Fueled Decades of Speculation." (Reverend Paul Kramer, The Devil's Final Battle, Good Counsel Publications, pp. 230-233.)

The Devil's Final Battle discussed additional questions about the conciliar Vatican's party line about the The Third Secret of Fatima on pp. 284-285:

June 26, 2000 - At a press conference, the Vatican publishes a text it claims is the entire Third Secret. The text describes a vision in which the Pope (a "bishop in white") is killed by a band of solders who shoot him down while he is kneeling at the foot of a large wooden cross atop a hill, after having traversed a half-ruined city filled with corpses. The execution of the Pope is followed by the execution of many bishops, priests and laity.

Questions abound. (See article by Andrew Cesanek in The Fatima Crusader, Issue No. 64.) Among those questions is why the published vision contains no words of Our Lady, even though, when it announced suppression of the Secret in 1960, the Vatican itself referred to "the words which Our Lady confided to the children as a secret." The vision fails to mention the words which clearly follow. "In Portugal the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved etc."--the phrase Sister Lucy included in her fourth memoir as part of the integral text of the Third Secret of Fatima. The phrase concerning the dogma of the Faith in Portugal is mysteriously demoted to a footnote in the Vatican commentary on the Secret, where it is ignored by both Cardinal Ratzinger and Msgr. Bertone, the co-authors of the commentary.

Cardinal Ratzinger's portion of the commentary specifically states that he and Msgr. Bertone are following the "interpretation" given by Cardinal Sodano: i.e., that the Message of Fatima, and the Third Secret in Particular, relates entirely to events which now belong to the past. Accordingly, Cardinal Ratzinger claims that the Pope's escape from death in 1981 is what is depicted in the vision of the Pope being killed. Even the secular media recognize the falsity of this interpretation.

The published text of the vision contains none of the elements described by Cardinal Ratzinger in his mysteriously censored 1984 interview in Jesus magazine. The published vision says nothing about "dangers threatening the Faith and the life of the Christian and therefore of the world", nothing about "the importance of end times", nothing about what is contained "in many other Marian apparition" approved by the Church and nothing about prophecies "announced in Scripture". Further, while Cardinal Ratzinger said in 1984 that the Third Secret contains "religious prophecy:"--a statement he made three years after the attempt on the Pope's life--he will now claim that there is no prophecy, but only a description of past events, culminating in the 1981 assassination attempt.

Further, Cardinal Ratzinger's commentary scandalizes the faithful by claiming that the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is nothing more than love conquering bombs and guns, and that devotion to the Immaculate Heart means nothing more than each person doing God's will and thus acquiring an 'immaculate heart" of his or her own. The conversion of Russia to Catholicism and the spreading of devotion to the one unique Immaculate Heart of Mary throughout the world are not even mentioned in Cardinal Ratzinger's commentary. (Reverend Paul Kramer, The Devil’s Final Battle, Good Counsel Publications, 2002.)

Dr. David Allen White summarized the contents of The Devil's Final Battle as follows in a 2002 book review that was published in Catholic Family News:

More than the Vatican’s "top theologian" were involved in this public insult to the Catholic faithful, and public insult to the Mother of God. One of the glories of the new book is that it names and thoroughly explores the roles played by each of the four prelates who are quite rightfully lined up as an anti-Fatima cabal. They are Cardinal Angelo Sodano, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone and Cardinal Dario Castrillón Hoyos. These prelates have colluded to stifle the Mother of God, to silence Sister Lucy, to obscure the Message of Fatima and to promote a new Church that stands in opposition to all of Catholic Tradition. They deserve to be exposed; they should be forced to answer to the Catholic faithful even before they stand before their Maker and are made to answer to Him. Their opposition puts both world peace and millions of souls in peril. (Reverend Paul Kramer, The Devil’s Final Battle, Good Counsel Publications, 2002.)

If the Third Secret of Fatima is so unimportant, why have the conciliar revolutionaries joined forces with the lords of Modernity to suppress, deconstruct and denigrate the message of Our Lady’s Fatima Message, including the Third Secret of Fatima, at every opportunity they feel compelled to do so.

Joseph Alois “Cardinal” Ratzinger contributed to this deconstruction with all the force of his Modernist might could muster, including the following piece of deconstruction that he authored and then issued at the time the fake, phony, fraud Third Secret of Fatima was released:

Before undertaking an interpretation of the message of Fatima, we must still attempt briefly to offer some clarification of their anthropological (psychological) character. In this field, theological anthropology distinguishes three forms of perception or “vision”: vision with the senses, and hence exterior bodily perception, interior perception, and spiritual vision (visio sensibilis - imaginativa - intellectualis). It is clear that in the visions of Lourdes, Fatima and other places it is not a question of normal exterior perception of the senses: the images and forms which are seen are not located spatially, as is the case for example with a tree or a house. This is perfectly obvious, for instance, as regards the vision of hell (described in the first part of the Fatima “secret”) or even the vision described in the third part of the “secret”. But the same can be very easily shown with regard to other visions, especially since not everybody present saw them, but only the “visionaries”. It is also clear that it is not a matter of a “vision” in the mind, without images, as occurs at the higher levels of mysticism. Therefore we are dealing with the middle category, interior perception. For the visionary, this perception certainly has the force of a presence, equivalent for that person to an external manifestation to the senses.

Interior vision does not mean fantasy, which would be no more than an expression of the subjective imagination. It means rather that the soul is touched by something real, even if beyond the senses. It is rendered capable of seeing that which is beyond the senses, that which cannot be seen—seeing by means of the “interior senses”. It involves true “objects”, which touch the soul, even if these “objects” do not belong to our habitual sensory world. This is why there is a need for an interior vigilance of the heart, which is usually precluded by the intense pressure of external reality and of the images and thoughts which fill the soul. The person is led beyond pure exteriority and is touched by deeper dimensions of reality, which become visible to him. Perhaps this explains why children tend to be the ones to receive these apparitions: their souls are as yet little disturbed, their interior powers of perception are still not impaired. “On the lips of children and of babes you have found praise”, replies Jesus with a phrase of Psalm 8 (v. 3) to the criticism of the High Priests and elders, who had judged the children's cries of “hosanna” inappropriate (cf. Mt 21:16).

“Interior vision” is not fantasy but, as we have said, a true and valid means of verification. But it also has its limitations. Even in exterior vision the subjective element is always present. We do not see the pure object, but it comes to us through the filter of our senses, which carry out a work of translation. This is still more evident in the case of interior vision, especially when it involves realities which in themselves transcend our horizon. The subject, the visionary, is still more powerfully involved. He sees insofar as he is able, in the modes of representation and consciousness available to him. In the case of interior vision, the process of translation is even more extensive than in exterior vision, for the subject shares in an essential way in the formation of the image of what appears. He can arrive at the image only within the bounds of his capacities and possibilities. Such visions therefore are never simple “photographs” of the other world, but are influenced by the potentialities and limitations of the perceiving subject. (Theological Commentary on the Fatima Message.)

In others, just as Modernists contend that Faith itself is a matter of interior consciousness that comes from within so do they believe that seers such as Saint Bernadette Soubirous and Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos have had real but necessarily "subjective" experiences that have no actual visible, spatial reality with the eyes of the body.

Acting under his stage name of “Pope Benedict XVI” ten years after the “Theological Commentary on the Fatima Message,” Joseph Alois Ratzinger reiterated his rationalist deconstruction of the physical apparition of Our Lady in the Cova da Iria when he visited the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima and said the following:

Brothers and sisters, in listening to these innocent and profound mystical confidences of the shepherd children, one might look at them with a touch of envy for what they were able to see, or with the disappointed resignation of someone who was not so fortunate, yet still demands to see. To such persons, the Pope says, as does Jesus: “Is not this the reason you are wrong, that you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?” (Mk 12:24). The Scriptures invite us to believe: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe” (Jn 20:29), but God, who is more deeply present to me than I am to myself (cf. Saint Augustine, Confessions, III, 6, 11) – has the power to come to us, particularly through our inner senses, so that the soul can receive the gentle touch of a reality which is beyond the senses and which enables us to reach what is not accessible or visible to the senses. For this to happen, we must cultivate an interior watchfulness of the heart which, for most of the time, we do not possess on account of the powerful pressure exerted by outside realities and the images and concerns which fill our soul (cf. Theological Commentary on The Message of Fatima, 2000). Yes! God can come to us, and show himself to the eyes of our heart.

Moreover, that Light deep within the shepherd children, which comes from the future of God, is the same Light which was manifested in the fullness of time and came for us all: the Son of God made man. (Homily at the Purported Mass on the Esplanade of the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima.)

It was very significant that the false “pontiff” cited his own Theological Commentary on the Fatima Message from ten years previously as he was conveying, albeit in the obscurantist manner of a Modernist, that the Faith is purely a matter of the senses (no room for the intellect here) and that the three shepherd children had a “Light deep within them” that caused them to “see” Our Lady interiorly, meaning, of course, that she was not truly physically visible to the eyes of their bodies. And that is leaving aside the phrase “the future of God” as no true pope has ever spoken in such an absurd manner. A Catholic can speak about the future possession of the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. One possessed of a Catholic mind does speak of the “future of God” as He is without beginning or end.

Why is it "perfectly obvious" that the images and forms seen, to cite the false "pope's own example, by the fourteen year-old Bernadette Soubirous and Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia "are not located spatially"?

Our Lady did not actually part the earth and show Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia a vision of Hell that they saw with their own eyes? This was merely an "interior" vision vision of theirs that did not really happen in time and space?

The buds on holm oak tree over which Our Lady hovered as she physically appeared to Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia did not change their appearance as seen by eyewitnesses who came to watch them? They were all suffering from mass delusion when they saw the following things?

    The second apparition - June 13, 1917

Preceding the second apparition, the seers once again saw a great brilliance, which they called lightning, but which was really the glare of the approaching light. Some of the approximately fifty spectators who had come to the place noticed that the light of the sun became dimmer during the first few minutes of the conversation. Others said that the top of the budding holm oak bent down, as if under the weight of something, a moment before Lucia spoke. During Our Lady's conversation with the seers, some of the bystanders heard a whispering, like the humming of a bee.

When this vision ceased, the Lady, still surrounded by the light that she radiated, rose from the little tree and glided toward the east until she disappeared completely. Several persons who were closer noticed that the buds at the top of the holm oak were bent in the same direction, as if they had been drawn by the Lady's clothes. They returned to their usual position only some hours later.

    The third apparition - July 13, 1917

Mr. Marto, father of Jacinta and Francisco, says that when the third apparition began, a little grayish cloud hovered over the holm oak, the sunlight diminished, and a cool breeze blew over the mountain range, even though it was the height of summer. He also heard something that sounded like flies inside an empty jug.

    The fourth apparition - August 19, 1917

On 13 August, the day the fourth apparition was to take place, the seers could not go to Cova da Iria, as they had been abducted by the mayor of Vila Nova de Ourém, who wanted to force the secret from them. The children held fast.

At Cova da Iria, thunder followed by lightning was heard at the usual time. The spectators noticed a small white cloud that hovered over the holm oak for a few minutes. Phenomena of coloration were observed on the faces of the people, the clothing, the trees, and the ground. Our Lady had certainly come, but she had not found the seers.

    The fifth apparition – September 13, 1917

A crowd estimated at twenty thousand observed atmospheric phenomena similar to those of the previous apparitions: the sudden cooling of the air, a dimming of the sun to the point where the stars could be seen, and a rain resembling iridescent petals or snowflakes that disappeared before touching the ground. This time, a luminous globe was noticed which moved slowly and majestically through the sky from east to west and, at the end of the apparition, in the opposite direction. The seers saw a light, and, immediately following this, they saw Our Lady over the holm oak.

All of this did not happen?

The crowd did not see what they reported?

    Were they having "interior visions"?

    Preposterous.

What about the Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917?

Was the following report from a reporter for O Seculo, Avelino de Almeida, who had written pieces that were scathing in their criticism of the children's claims to have seen Our Lady, making up the following story that he wrote about what happened in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, on October 13, 1917?

One could see the immense multitude turn towards the sun, which appeared free from clouds and at its zenith. It looked like a plaque of dull silver and it was possible to look at it without the least discomfort. It might have been an eclipse which was taking place. But at that moment a great shout went up and one could hear the spectators nearest at hand shouting: "A miracle! A miracle!" Before the astonished eyes of the crowd, whose aspect was Biblical as they stood bareheaded, eagerly searching the sky, the sun trembled, made sudden incredible movements outside all cosmic laws - the sun "danced" according to the typical expression of the people.

People then began to ask each other what they had seen. The great majority admitted to having seen the trembling and dancing of the sun; others affirmed that they saw the face of the Blessed Virgin; others, again, swore that the sun whirled on itself like a giant Catherine wheel and that it lowered itself to the earth as if to burn it with its rays. Some said they saw it change colors successively. (The Miracle of the Sun.

Is the testimony below about what happened on October 13, 1917, bogus?

From dawn, our reporter relates, visibly impressed by that calm courage, groups looming up again, intrepid individuals who pass through, without stopping for a moment, the small town, whose silence is broken by the chant of hymns intoned by feminine voices in harmony which contrasts with the roughness of the men... The sun rises, but the aspect of the sky is threatening. Some black clouds accumulate, precisely from the Fatima side. Nothing however holds back the pilgrims who, from all roads and by all means of locomotion, flock in that direction... Some small bells on a chain tinkle; we see here and there a cart decorated with palms. However, the festive atmosphere is discreet; the general manner is grave, the order perfect ... Towards ten o’clock, the sky is covered completely and a heavy rain begins to fall. The downpour, whipped by a bitter wind, beating against the face, inundates the gravel roads, and pierces to the bone those who did not take the precaution of carrying an umbrella or some other means of protection from the bad weather. But no one becomes impatient nor gives up following the road.

Whereas “the low and heavy sky had a very dark color, laden with moisture, released an abundant and long lasting rain,” during the time of the apparition, the rain stopped totally. Abruptly the sky cleared: “The sun triumphantly pierced the thick bed of clouds hiding it until then, and shone intensely.” (Dr. Almeida Garrett).

This abrupt change of weather took all the eyewitnesses by surprise: “It was a day of heavy and continuous rain. But a few minutes before the miracle, it stopped raining.” (Alfredo da Silva Santos) (The Miracle of the Sun.)

Rationalists reject the supernatural, especially when a real event interferes with their own false narrative about the “springtime of the Church” and the “necessity” of  false ecumenism and its inevitable-but-never-admitted-such-by-the conciliar-revolutionaries of endless acts of scandalously blasphemous acts of religious syncretism, including one that took place at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity in Fatima, Portugal, within the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima sixteen years ago:

"All the invocations of the pagans are hateful to God because all their gods are devils."

Saint Francis Xavier wrote these words to Saint Ignatius about the pagan religion of Hinduism. Francis Xavier, writing from India at the time, merely restates the truth from the infallible Sacred Scriptures: "The gods of the Gentiles are devils". (Psalm 95:5)

Yet on May 5, 2004 — the Feast of Pope Saint Pius V — the Little Chapel of the Apparitions at Fatima was allowed to be used for a pagan Hindu ceremony. This Little Chapel (also called the Capelinha) is built on the site where Our Blessed Mother appeared to the 3 children of Fatima in 1917.

News of the Hindu worship service at Fatima was broadcast on May 5 on SIC, a national television station in Portugal. CFN spoke with two people in Portugal, independent from one another, who saw the televised newscast. The May 22 Portugal News also reported on the event.

According to the broadcast, a busload of Hindus were allowed to commandeer the sanctuary inside the Fatima Capelinha and to use the Catholic altar for their rituals. The SIC newscaster said, "This is an unprecedented unique moment in the history of the shrine. The Hindu priest, or Sha Tri, prays on the altar the Shaniti Pa, the prayer for peace."

The outrage occurred with the blessing of Shrine Rector Msgr. Guerra. No one may use the Capelinha without Rector Guerra’s permission.

The Hindus wore traditional garb, a Hindu "priest" in traditional Hindu vestments led the ceremony that consisted in the offering of flowers and food. This would seem to indicate that the Hindus performed their pagan puja, a ritual in which the offering of flowers and food is central.

After the Hindu worship service at the Catholic altar, the Hindus were escorted by Fatima authorities to see a model of the huge, round-shaped modernistic shrine at Fatima now under construction, a fifty million dollar eyesore that will blot the landscape of Our Lady’s apparitions.

One of the Hindus is reported to have said that they go to Fatima because there are many gods, and the gods have wives and companions who will bring good luck. This is a blasphemy against the Queen of Heaven as it places Our Blessed Mother on the same level as some sort of "wife" of a false god.

Thus, the Hindus did not even come to Fatima to learn of, or take part in, Catholic prayer. Rather, they folded the holy event of Fatima into their own superstitions and pagan myths.

These Hindus are said to be from Lisbon, where they have a Hindu temple and a community of a couple hundred. The SIC broadcast showed the Hindus’ house of worship that contained the many statues of their gods and goddesses.

It is reported that pilgrims who witnessed the event at Fatima were scandalized, but Shrine Rector Guerra defended the use of the Marian Shrine for pagan worship.

Appearing on Portuguese television, Guerra regurgitated the long-discredited, ecumenical slogan that different religions should concentrate on what we have in common and not on what separates us. He also said that all religions are good because they all lead us to God. As reported in previous issues of Catholic Family News, the principle that "all religions lead to God" is nothing more than one of Freemasonry’s fundamental tenets. The French Freemason, Yves Marsaudon wrote, "One can say that ecumenism is the legitimate son of Freemasonry". (John Vennari, Catholic Family News. See also: Shrine Rector Attempts to Justify Hindu Prayer Service at Fatima )

The effort on the part of the conciliar revolutionaries to deconstruct Our Lady's Fatima Message and to keep pilgrims away from it altogether after having profaned it by turning into a center of false ecumenism is, sadly, part of a larger effort to deconstruct the Catholic Church's Marian doctrine to make it conform to the dictates of a new theology for a new and, of course, false (pseudo) religion, conciliarism, that dates back to the proximate origins of this false religion (that was, after all, several centuries in the making) at the "Second" Vatican Council.

A reader who desired to remain anonymous undertook an effort in 2007 to transcribe the following passage from a book written by a sedeplenist priest about the extent to which the "Second" Vatican Council attempted to “baptize” false ecumenism by making it appear to be the fulfillment of her Fatima Message and by omitting any reference to her call for Catholics to pray her Most Holy Rosary:

The views and ecumenical plans of Our Lord for our century, clearly revealed at Fatima, do not agree at all with the ecumenism of Vatican II.  The revelations at Fatima teach us that God wants first to save and convert Orthodox Russia through the double mediation of His Most Holy Mother and of the hierarchy of His unique and true Church.  When the Pope and bishops accomplish the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the church will demonstrate her communion in faith with the orthodox, since in the East the dogma of the Mediation of the Queen of Heaven is very much rooted in tradition.

Now, according to the promises of Heaven, it is through that act of faith in Mary, the Mediatrix, it is through that appeal or the Catholic hierarchy to the all-powerful Mediation of the Immaculate Virgin which will have obtained the grace of conversion of the Russian Orthodox people, that is their return en masse to the unique cradle of Christ, an event truly unheard of, incomparable miracle which will provoke the wonder of all the schismatics and heretics of the whole world and soon their conversion.

At the Council, while extolling Congarian ecumenism, the Church has undertaken another road. Vatican II has neither hoped for nor even conceived of the return of the lost souls to the bosom of the unique Church of Christ, but it has recommended seeking Christian unity in an egalitarian reconciliation with the schismatic and heretical sects. To make peace with the opponent, to lead a dialogue filled with esteem at first with the leaders of heretical and Protestant communities, renouncing everything which could create obstacles and mutual understanding, was supposed to lead the Council Fathers to joyfully sacrifice the Catholic faith. Did not Paul VI himself say: “We do not wish to make our faith a reason for controversy with our separated brothers”? (Speech, Sept. 29, 1963)

The dogmatic surrender of the Council and its outrages to the Immaculate Mediatrix were the fruits of that fatal ecumenism. It is then not surprising that the only Bishop, as far as we know, who demanded the Consecration of Russia in the Council aula, Bishop Mingo of Monreale in Sicily, alto fought for the definition of the dogma of Mary Mediatrix, and against Congarian ecumenism. (see Acts of Vatican II)

THE PUBLIC VENERATION OF OUR LADY FORLORN AND LESSENED

Several Bishops were alarmed at seeing the Council totally neglect devotion to Our Lady. “We know from an authorized source, Father Luis Cerdeira, O.P., writes that during the drafting of the paragraph number 67 of Lumen Gentium, some experts and some Council Fathers insisted that they invoke “ex professo” devotion to the Rosary by one of these expressions or their equivalent: ‘Utpote Rosarium,’ ‘verbi Gratia Rosarium.’”

In fact, in the course of the second session, Bishop Rendeiro expressed “the desire that the Holy Council condescend to clarify the intelligence of the Church, exalting and recommending to priests and the faithful that form of devotion which is expressed by the Marian Rosary”. For “we hear in the choir of theologians and liturgists, he noted in his written observation, some discordant voices. There are to be found one or the other who, giving in to the excess of a kind of ‘hyperliturgyism’, affirm that it is necessary to put aside public prayer, especially the recitation of the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and that truly liturgical devotion suffices.”

During the third session, in the name of 113 Bishops, Cardinal Cerejeira requested in writing the following amendment: “That to the words ‘practices and exercises of piety’ (from paragraph number 67 of Lumen Gentium) be added: ‘among which the Rosary is conspicuous’, in such a way that it should read: ‘practices and exercises of piety, among which the Rosary is conspicuous’.”

In support of his request, Cardinal Cerejeira advanced five reasons at the same time theological and pastoral. It is noteworthy, nevertheless, and how much to be regretted(!) that neither Bishop Rendeiro, the Portuguese Bishop of Faro, nor the Patriarch of Lisbon referred to the Revelations of Fatima to justify their petition. Finally the commission which prepared the chapter on the Blessed Virgin Mary judged that “the Council should not designate any devotion in particular”. The result is that in the Acts of Vatican II the Rosary is not mentioned.

As far as we know, in the course of the sessions of Vatican II, not a Bishop, not even a Portuguese prelate, rose once in the Council aula to entreat the Fathers to embrace and recommend the reparatory devotion to the Immaculate Heart, in conformity with the Divine Wishes. It is bewildering to declare that no prelate dared to break the apparent and deadly unanimity of Vatican II. All the Bishops finally adhered to its minimized doctrine on the Most Blessed Virgin. When on November 18, 1964, the definitive text concerning the Blessed Virgin Mary allegedly revised in the light of the votes juxta modum, was submitted to the vote, only twenty-three Fathers voted against it.

And none of those opponents created a stir. Yet, according to the message of Fatima, there is hardly a more unpardonable crime for our Savior than to scorn His Holy Mother and to outrage Her Immaculate Heart, which is the sanctuary of the Holy Ghost. In her interview with Father Fuentes, Sister Lucy herself presented that sin as “blasphemy against the Holy Ghost which will never be forgiven, neither in this world nor in the next.”(Mt. 12:31-32). That cowardice of all the hierarchy of the Church should not be without a bearing on the chastisement announced in the third part of the Secret.

The liturgical reform which followed the Council lessened the cult of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The motu proprio of February 19, 1969, suppressed from the Roman Missal numerous feasts such as the Holy Name of Mary, Our Lady of Mercy, and the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Visitation has been put on May 31, in place of the Queenship of Mary, while the Feast of “Mary Mediatrix of All Graces”, celebrated previously that same day, has disappeared definitely from the Roman Missal.

Pius XII had partially answered the request of Sister Lucy in extending the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to the whole world, under the rite of second class. The New Ordo only makes a simple commemoration which is optional the Saturday after the second Sunday after Pentecost. This feast is then without a proper Mass and Office, and it passes after the ferial, after ordinary feasts of the Saints and obligatory commemorations. That optional commemoration will therefore be omitted as soon as there is another commemoration in concurrence. Father Alonso writes, “Sister Lucy has undoubtedly suffered a great deal intimately from the new liturgy reform. They have not respected a venerable tradition which had established itself gradually throughout the centuries around the specific liturgical significance of the feast of the Heart of Mary. Neither have they respected nor followed an inspiration from Heaven which manifested itself with all the guarantees of the Church, in knowing that devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a necessity for the Church of our time. That Heart presents itself with all its value of eschatological hope, and at least in the new liturgy reform, that hope has been hidden.” (Frère François de Marie des Anges Fatima: Intimate Joy, World Event, Tragedy and Triumph, Book Four, Immaculate Heart Publications, 1994, English translation edition, pp. 107-111.)

Obviously, “Father” Francois de Marie des Anges did not understand that the Catholic Church cannot be responsible for denigrating the Blessed Virgin Mary in any way.

He did, however, provide a very good account of the extent to which true bishops refused to defend the honor of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary and the devotion to her Immaculate Heart, which she herself said that her Divine Son wanted to be promoted as one of the two last remedies to save souls from the fires of Hell in these last days. Every bishop who knew that what was happening at the “Second” Vatican Council was offensive to God and His Most Blessed Mother but who refused to speak out in their defense was guilty, objectively speaking, of helping to bring about the consequences that have devastated souls and helped to contribute to the worsening of the state of the world-at-large as a result, especially now during the time of the China/Wuhan/Chinese/Covid-19/Coronavirus “pandemic” that the conciliar officials are using to demonstrate to all who have the spiritual vision to see that they are world-class apostates. Among these devastating consequences have been a series of “novelties,” shall we say:

    1. New Theology
    2. New Religion.
    3. New “Mass”
    4. New Rosary
    5. New Catechism
    6. New Raccolta
    7. New Code of Canon Law
    8. New Roman Missal
    9. New G.I.R.M. (General Instruction to the so-called Roman Missal)
    10. New Ecclesiology
    11. New Sacraments
    12. New Moral Teaching
    13. New Interpretations of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Doctrine along evolutionary, Hegelian principles.
    14. New Canonization Process
    15. New One World Church
    16. New World Order.

What have our true popes taught us about novelties?

These firings, therefore, with all diligence and care having been formulated by us, we define that it be permitted to no one to bring forward, or to write, or to compose, or to think, or to teach a different faith. Whosoever shall presume to compose a different faith, or to propose, or teach, or hand to those wishing to be converted to the knowledge of the truth, from the Gentiles or Jews, or from any heresy, any different Creed; or to introduce a new voice or invention of speech to subvert these things which now have been determined by us, all these, if they be Bishops or clerics let them be deposed, the Bishops from the Episcopate, the clerics from the clergy; but if they be monks or laymen: let them be anathematized. (Sixth Ecumenical: Constantinople III).

They [the Modernists] exercise all their ingenuity in an effort to weaken the force and falsify the character of tradition, so as to rob it of all its weight and authority. But for Catholics nothing will remove the authority of the second Council of Nicea, where it condemns those "who dare, after the impious fashion of heretics, to deride the ecclesiastical traditions, to invent novelties of some kind...or endeavor by malice or craft to overthrow any one of the legitimate traditions of the Catholic Church"; nor that of the declaration of the fourth Council of Constantinople: "We therefore profess to preserve and guard the rules bequeathed to the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, by the Holy and most illustrious Apostles, by the orthodox Councils, both general and local, and by everyone of those divine interpreters, the Fathers and Doctors of the Church." Wherefore the Roman Pontiffs, Pius IV and Pius IX, ordered the insertion in the profession of faith of the following declaration: "I most firmly admit and embrace the apostolic and ecclesiastical traditions and other observances and constitutions of the Church.'' (Pope Saint Pius X, Pascendi Dominci Gregis, September 8, 1907.)

Fourthly, I sincerely hold that the doctrine of faith was handed down to us from the apostles through the orthodox Fathers in exactly the same meaning and always in the same purport. Therefore, I entirely reject the heretical' misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously. . . . The purpose of this is, then, not that dogma may be tailored according to what seems better and more suited to the culture of each age; rather, that the absolute and immutable truth preached by the apostles from the beginning may never be believed to be different, may never be understood in any other way. (Pope Saint Pius X, The Oath Against Modernism, September 1, 1910.)

The counterfeit church of conciliarism is all about novelty, and that in and of itself should prove to the doubting or the unwilling that truth is calling them to recognize and accept the reality that the counterfeit church of conciliarism is false and that its “popes” have been and continue to be heretics who feel no remorse over attempting to alter that which is unalterable, the Catholic Faith, and to put into doubt the messages of Our Lady, most especially her Fatima Message.

Using the “Fatima is Not Our Religion” Canard to Disparage Devotion to Our Lady of Fatima

Unfortunately, there are true priests in the catacombs and false ones in the conciliar structures who continue to belittle Our Lady’s Fatima Message with mockery and rationalist revulsion. Some go to the point of caricaturing any effort to defend Our Lady’s Fatima apparitions and their importance to our times by saying that “Fatima is not our religion.” Of course, Fatima is not our religion. It is nevertheless the case those who truly love Our Lady must see in her Fatima apparitions the loving hand of her Divine Son, Who wants us to make more efficacious use of His Blessed Mother’s Most Holy Rosary and to spread devotion to her Immaculate Heart as the antidotes to sin and error in our souls and in the world.

There is no opposition between Our Lady’s Fatima Message and the Catholic Faith, and no one I know who is devoted to the requests that Our Lady made a century ago are suggesting any diminution of the primacy of the Sacred Deposit of Faith and the Sacraments. Those who suggest that such a distortion of right principles exist are making up straw men in the pattern of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who is constantly making up a false dichotomy between “mercy” and justice and doctrine and “love,” something that he did three years ago when he himself visited the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima and made his own war upon Our Lady and her Fatima Message.

The Conciliar Revolutionaries Oppose the Fatima Message Because It Condemns Them and Their False Beliefs and Practices

Indeed, the Argentine Apostate wasted little time at the Shrine of the Apparitions in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, on Friday, May 12, 2017, the Feast of Saints Nereus, Achelleus, Pancratius and Domatilla, to completely distort and misrepresent Our Lady’s Fatima Message of July 13, 1917, and thus to denigrate yet Catholic teaching on God’s Divine Justice. He did so by making it appear that Our Lady came to Fatima to soothe the consciences of unrepentant sinners rather to urge Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos to pray and offer sacrifices for their conversion in order to save them from the fires of hell:

Thank you for your welcome and for joining me on this pilgrimage of hope and peace. Even now, I want to assure all of you who are united with me, here or elsewhere, that you have a special place in my heart. I feel that Jesus has entrusted you to me (cf. Jn 21:15-17), and I embrace all of you and commend you to Jesus, “especially those most in need” – as Our Lady taught us to pray (Apparition of July, 1917). May she, the loving and solicitous Mother of the needy, obtain for them the Lord’s blessing! On each of the destitute and outcast robbed of the present, on each of the excluded and abandoned denied a future, on each of the orphans and victims of injustice refused a past, may there descend the blessing of God, incarnate in Jesus Christ. “The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace” (Num 6:24-26). (Blaspheming Bergoglio at Blessing of Candles Ceremony in the Shrine of the Apparitions, Fatima, Portugal.)

Look at the way this overstuffed demon of a human being sought to make Our Lady’s July 13, 1917, apparition into a plea for “mercy” for those who were “downcast” and in “need” of material assistance. In other words, the false “pope” reduced Our Lady’s third Fatima apparition to the level of mere naturalism even though she had shown the seers the fires of hell as Sister Lucia dos Santos described:

Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror.

"I want you to come here on the 13th of next month, [August] to continue to pray the Rosary every day in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war, because only she can help you." (First and Second Part of the Secret of Fatima.)

Here are the exact words as spoken by Our Lady on July 13, 1917:

"Continue to come here every month. In October, I will tell you who I am and what I want, and I will perform a miracle for all to see and believe."

Lucia made some requests for sick people, to which Mary replied that she would cure some but not others, and that all must say the rosary to obtain such graces, before continuing: "Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially when you make some sacrifice: O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary."

"You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father.

"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."

Mary specifically told Lucia not to tell anyone about the secret at this stage, apart from Francisco, before continuing: "When you pray the Rosary, say after each mystery: 'O my Jesus, forgive us, save us from the fire of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are most in need.' "

Lucia asked if there was anything more, and after assuring her that there was nothing more, Mary disappeared off into the distance. (Our Lady's Words at Fatima.)

Let us proceed to examine these words of the Mother of God carefully.

First, Bergoglio the Blasphemer entirely omitted the fact that Our Lady had shown Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia hell itself.

Second, Bergoglio the blasphemer did not explain that Our Lady told Jacinta, Franciso and Lucia that "hell is where poor sinners go."

Third, as noted above, Bergoglio the Blasphemer made it appear as though the "need" referred to by Our Lady had to do with the material wants of the poor and the victims of injustice when Our Lady's prayer has to need with saving the souls of sinners who are in most need of God's mercy by repenting of their sins and resolving never to commit them again. This shows the utter contempt that this reprobate of a human being has for the intelligence of those Catholics, no matter where they fall along the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide in this time of apostasy and betrayal, who are truly devoted to Our Lady's Fatima Message and know full well that the Mother of God was seeking the conversion of sinners away from their sins, not to satisfy their materia needs.

Fourth, Bergoglio the blasphemer ignored Our Lady's foretelling that (a) there would be a "Pope Pius XI" in 1917, five years before the death of the then reigning Holy Father, Pope Benedict XV; (b) that people had to "cease offending God;" and (c) that a worse war would break out during the pontificate of Pope Pius XI if men did not cease to offend God by means of their sins.

Fifth, Bergoglio the Blasphemer said nothing about Our Lady's exhortation to the three shepherd children to "sacrifice yourselves for sinners" as he, the Argentine Apostate, believes that we must "accompany" those whose live in "irregular situations," meaning those who live in states of Mortal sin and have no intention of reforming their lives.

Sixth, Bergoglio the Blasphemer and sympathizer of Russian Orthodoxy and Bolshevism, chose quite carefully to avoid any discussion of the errors of Russia that would spread if a true pope did not consecrate this country to her Immaculate Heart, a request that Our Lady made fully three and one-half months before the Bolsheviks would overthrow the "moderate" Socialists, the Mensheviks.

Seventh, Bergoglio the Blasphemer ignored any mention of Our Lady's foretelling the seers--and us--that entire nations would be annihilated if the errors of Russia continued to spread.

Bergoglio would have us to believe that the justice of God punishers sinners in this life and for all eternity in hell if they do not repent before they did. He believes that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ satisfied God's Justice on Good Friday, thereby making us beneficiaries of God's ineffable mercy without having to face Him, the Just Judge who rewards the good and punishes the wicked.

    How can I say this?

Well, he told us so three years ago in his own wretched words:

Pilgrims with Mary… But which Mary? A teacher of the spiritual life, the first to follow Jesus on the “narrow way” of the cross by giving us an example, or a Lady “unapproachable” and impossible to imitate? A woman “blessed because she believed” always and everywhere in God’s words (cf. Lk 1:42.45), or a “plaster statue” from whom we beg favours at little cost? The Virgin Mary of the Gospel, venerated by the Church at prayer, or a Mary of our own making: one who restrains the arm of a vengeful God; one sweeter than Jesus the ruthless judge; one more merciful than the Lamb slain for us?

Great injustice is done to God’s grace whenever we say that sins are punished by his judgment, without first saying – as the Gospel clearly does – that they are forgiven by his mercy! Mercy has to be put before judgment and, in any case, God’s judgment will always be rendered in the light of his mercy. Obviously, God’s mercy does not deny justice, for Jesus took upon himself the consequences of our sin, together with its due punishment. He did not deny sin, but redeemed it on the cross. Hence, in the faith that unites us to the cross of Christ, we are freed of our sins; we put aside all fear and dread, as unbefitting those who are loved (cf. 1 Jn 4:18). “Whenever we look to Mary, we come to believe once again in the revolutionary nature of love and tenderness. In her, we see that humility and tenderness are not virtues of the weak but of the strong, who need not treat others poorly in order to feel important themselves… This interplay of justice and tenderness, of contemplation and concern for others, is what makes the ecclesial community look to Mary as a model of evangelization” (Ap. Exhort. Evangelii Gaudium, 288). With Mary, may each of us become a sign and sacrament of the mercy of God, who pardons always and pardons everything.

Hand in hand with the Virgin Mother, and under her watchful gaze, may we come to sing with joy the mercies of the Lord, and cry out: “My soul sings to you, Lord!” The mercy you have shown to all your saints and all your faithful people, you have also shown to me. Out of the pride of my heart, I went astray, following my own ambitions and interests, without gaining any crown of glory! My one hope of glory, Lord, is this: that your Mother will take me in her arms, shelter me beneath her mantle, and set me close to your heart. Amen.  (Blaspheming Bergoglio at Blessing of Candles Ceremony in the Shrine of the Apparitions, Fatima, Portugal.)

These heretical and blasphemous remarks will be dealt with quickly.

First, it is he, Bergoglio the Blasphemer, who misrepresented the Blessed Virgin Mary as an apostle of his own false concept of "mercy."

Second, Our Lady explained to Sister Lucia does Santos on June 13, 1929, when she told her that the time had come for the Holy Father to request the collegial consecration of her Immaculate Heart as the Divine Justice is offended by the sins of men committee against her, the very Mother of God:

"The moment has come in which God asks the Holy Father, in union with all the Bishops in the world, to make the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, promising to save it by this means. There are so many souls whom the Justice of God condemns for sins committed against me, that I have come to ask reparation: sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray." (Our Lady's Words at Fatima.)

It is thus no surprise at all that Jorge’s handpicked “bishop” of Leiria-Fatima and his handpicked “archbishop” of Lisbon used the false, statist narrative of the China/Chinese/Wuhan/Covid-19/Coronavirus to urge the civil authorities of Lebanon, who had not been disposed to shutting the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima on Mary 13, 2020, in its entirety to issue an edict to keep pilgrims away.

The conciliar revolutionaries hate Our Lady’s Fatima Message because it condemns them for their apostasies, including the subordination to the civil state that is a chief characteristic of Russian Orthodoxy and of Protestantism, which much of its sustenance from Russian Orthodoxy, and is thus one of the errors of Russia that Our Lady came to extinguish. They also hate the fact that the true message of Our Lady of Fatima opposes what they support and been obsequious to, namely, all forms of Marxism-Leninism and its Maoist/Castroist/Sandinista/Globalist manifestations. Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s sellout of the underground Catholics, who have been persecuted since May 1, 1949, by the Chicoms, to the Red Chinese civil authorities should have been seen as a model for what these agents of Antichrist seek to accomplish throughout the world in advancement of the One World Ecumenical Religion as a subservient, obsequious client of the One World Government.

The Message of Fatima as Told to Us by the True Sister Lucia dos Santos

Several articles on this website in recent years have relied upon the work of the late William Thomas Walsh’s superb Our Lady of Fatima, much of which included his own interview with the real Sister Lucia dos Santos on September 15, 1946, the Feast of the Seven Dolors of Our Lady in September, which will be referenced near the end of this commentary once again.

For present purposes, though, I want to turn the attention of this website’s few remaining readers to a pamphlet on Our Lady of Fatima and the Fatima Message that was published originally in 1947 and then republished in its entirety without any alterations by an organization called “Mother of Christ Crusade” in Billings, Montana, in 1981. The original pamphlet’s imprimatur was issued by the Bishop of Fall River, Massachusetts, the Most Reverend James E. Cassidy, on August 11, 1947, the Feast of Saints Tiburtius and Susanna and, in those places where priest desired to celebrate or commemorate it, the Feast of Saint Philomena.

The pamphlet is highly informative, and it contains a 1921 photograph of Sister Lucia dos Santos that provides readers with yet another piece of evidence ratifying the tremendously important work being done by Dr. Peter Chojnowski at Sister Lucy Truth that puts to rest any lingering doubt that the conciliar revolutionaries presented a false “Sister Lucy” to the world as a means of providing them the cover to falsify Our Lady’s Fatima Message and thus to bury its true meaning by means of constant subterfuge, prevarication, deconstruction and misrepresentation. The false conciliar religion needed to created a false Sister Lucy to provide a false narrative about the Fatima Message to conceal the simple fact that the true Fatima Message is a rebuke to the conciliar revolution and its rapprochement with the errors of Russia, including the subordination of what is thought to be the ecclesiastical authority of the Catholic Church to today’s caesars and caesarettes (or czars and czarinas). I will post the photograph of Sister Lucia dos Santos takien in 1921 when my regular computer is repaired as I am having great difficulty navigating a miserable thing called "Chromebook" that I had to purchase a few days ago in order to go online.]

Now, the following narrative was taken directly from Sister Lucia dos Santos’s memoirs. Various interjections about selected passages will be made to add a bit of commentary to emphasize the revolutionary nature of the conciliarists’ constant attacks on Our Lady’s Fatima Message as well as the efforts of rationalists/Jansenists to denigrate the importance of Our Lady’s apparitions in the Cova da Iria one hundred three years ago altogether.

The first passage deals with the simple nature of the fifteen minutes of meditation that Our Lady has requested us to make on First Saturdays in order to offer reparation to her Immaculate Heart for the offenses, blasphemies and insults that continue to be given by ungrateful men to her inestimable honor as the Mother of God, her very Holy Name and her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart:

Fifteen minutes of meditation are what will puzzle you most, but is very easy. Who is the person who cannot think upon the mysteries of the Rosary? The Annunciation of the Angel and the humility of our dear Mother, who, when, she was exalted, called herself the handmaiden of the Lord? Who cannot meditate on the sufferings of Our Lord, Who suffered so much in His love for us and Our Lady near Jesus on Calvary? Who is the one who cannot spend fifteen minutes near the most tender of mothers, reflecting on these thoughts?

“Good-bye, dearest Mother. Console our dear heavenly Mother on this manner and do your best to get others to console her. In this way you will give me unbounded joy. Your most devoted child, who kisses your hand. Lucia de Jesus.”

    Interjection:

Fifteen minutes is only one ninety-sixth of a twenty-four hour day. One ninety-sixth.

Can we begrudge the August Queen of Heaven fifteen minutes?

Are we really too busy with all the intrigue that preoccupy the minds of carnal men, that is, men who mind earthly matters without viewing them in light of First and Last Things and placing them in the context of eternity, as they get all involved in this or that battle being fought by forgettable men who now enjoy a bit of earthly power before they are to fade from human being and consigned to the ignominy that is found in the dustbin of history?

    Fifteen minutes?

We are so pitiful in our lukewarmness and our spiritual torpor.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio and many of his fellow Jacobin/Bolshevik conciliar revolutionaries spend their waking moments “worrying” about rain forests, “global warming” and illegal immigration. They have no time for nor do they believe in the necessity of making any kind of reparation for human sins, especially those of blasphemy as they are the biggest and most publicly notorious  blasphemers on the face of this earth.

The account provided in the pamphlet then elaborated upon Sister Lucia of the Immaculate Heart’s reflection on this simple devotion:

When she spoke of this devotion to one priest, he remarked that Our Lady used more or less the same words that Our Lord used when He made His promises to Saint Margaret Mary with regard to the nine First Fridays. Lucia merely smiled, saying, “Can I tell the Blessed Virgin how she is express herself?”

    Interjection:

The simplicity of chosen souls has been exhibited time and time again in the lives of mystics and those, such as Saints Gertrude the Great, Catherine of Siena, Catherine Laboure and Bernadette Soubirous, who have been visited by Our Lord, Our Lady or both at one time or another. The real Sister Lucia dos Santos provides us with another example of a chosen soul who understands that we are not to argue with the words uttered by the Mother of God, who never makes what Holy Mother Church recognizes as a true apparition on earth worthy of belief by the faithful except at her own Divine Son’s specific request to accomplish His Holy Will for the good souls upon which the very good of men and their nations depends.

Our Lady is the handmaid of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and she never places herself above Him. Her apparitions in the past few centuries have meant to increase devotion to herself through Most Holy Rosary and her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart as this is what her Divine Son has requested of her to make known us to console Him, to make reparation for our sins and to pray for the conversion of poor sinners. Her apparitions to chosen souls is a sign of God’s ineffable mercy for us and His patient love for us erring sinners. Those who do not recognize this as such have the most hardened of hearts no matter how brilliant an intellect with which they have been endowed by God Himself.

The narrative of the 1947 publication went on to discuss how she had received permission from Heaven to reveal the first two parts of the Fatima Message, including how Our Lady herself would come to ask for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart by a true pope collegially with all the world’s true bishops:

Lucia had not yet been given permission to reveal all that Our Lady had spoken to her at the Cova da Iria. She did, however, have permission to reveal the need of reparation and the devotion of the First Saturdays. It was in 1927, while she was praying in the convent chapel at Tuy, Spain, where she was then stationed, that she received permission from Heaven to reveal the first two parts of the secret, the vision of Hell and the urgent need for devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. “You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wants to establish throughout the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart.   . . . I shall come to ask the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart.”

Lucia informed her confessors, her Mother Provincial, the Bishop of Leiria and the Reverend Joseph Galamba of this. The third part of the secret revealed to the three children at the Cova da Iria on July 13, 1917, has not yet been revealed. According to instructions from above, Lucia has written it down. It was sealed and by the order of the Bishop of Leiria placed in his diocesan archives.

Two years later in 1929, Our Lady again appeared to Lucia while she was praying at the chapel in Tuy. This was the time chosen by Our Lady to ask the fulfillment of her previous request: “I shall come to ask the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart. . . If they heed my request, Russia will be converted and there will be peace.” Our Lady explained that this consecration should be made by the Holy Father in unison with all the bishops of the world.

    Interjection:

There are some fully traditional Catholics who contend that Holy Mother Church has only passed her judgment on the apparitions that took place in 1917, not those that occurred thereafter. While this is true from a strict juridical standpoint, the entirety of the ecclesiastically approved and indulgenced First Saturday Devotions in reparation for insults, blasphemies and offenses committed against Our Lady, her Holy Name and her Immaculate Heart is based on the words of Our Lady to Sister Lucia dos Santos in 1925:

Have compassion on the heart of your most holy Mother, covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to make an act of reparation. Look, my daughter, at my heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console me and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me."

There are five specific offenses against the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for which the Five First Saturdays devotion was instituted, explained by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself to Sister Lucia on Ascension Thursday, May 29, 1930:

    Attacks upon Mary's Immaculate Conception.

    Attacks against her Perpetual Virginity.

Attacks upon her Divine Maternity and the refusal to accept her as the Mother of all mankind.

For those who try to publicly implant in children's hearts indifference, contempt and even hatred of this Immaculate Mother.

For those who insult her directly in her sacred images.

The Church has given, at least in a de facto sense, recognition to this private apparition made in 1925, making it plausible, at the very least, that the 1929 apparition of Our Lady to Sister Lucia in the convent at Tuy, Spain, in which Our Lady called for the collegial consecration of Russia by a pope with all of the world's bishops to be an elaboration on that same July 13, 1917, message in the Cova da Iria in which she first called for the Communions of reparation on the First Saturdays and called for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart by the pope. Although even some who accept the legitimacy of the 1929 apparition contend that the time for such a collegial consecration has passed, noting correctly that World War II could have been prevented by such a collegial consecration, Sister Lucia continued to insist that the collegial consecration needed to be done.

Indeed, Our Lord Himself told Sister Lucia that the consecration would be done, but that it would be late:

Lucia made known this request to her confessors. One of them, the Reverend Francis Rodrigues, S. J., told her to write it down. He showed this letter to the Bishop and gave him the full details. Father Rodrigues also had it brought to the attention of the Holy Father.

Three Years passed during which nothing was accomplished. Lucia again worte to the Bishop, adding the words of Our Lord, “As long as the King of France did not listen to my request (when He asked Saint Margaret Mary to obtain the consecration of France to the Sacred Heart by the King) the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, but it will be late.”

    Interjection:

This is important to note as Our Lord’s words to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque remind us that He had asked her to convey to King ouis XIV and the bishops of France to His Most Sacred Heart, only to have His own specific request rejected in favor of a “compromise” that resulted in Paris, not the entirety of France, consecrated to His Sacred Heart. The year was 1689, one hundred years before the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, and the beginning of the anti-Theistic French Revolution. We ought not to take lightly the words spoken to chosen souls by Our Lord and Our Lady. The conciliar revolutionaries do not take the words of Our Lady of Fatima lightly, which is why they have been very serious in hiding, attacking, misrepresenting, deconstructing and distorting those words for the past sixty long years.

The narrative of the 1947 pamphlet continues:

Years passed. The Pope was pleading for peace. Then in March 1938, Germany invaded Austria and prepared for World War II, which broke out in September, 1939, six months after Pius XI died.

Father Jongen asked Lucia if Our Lady mentioned the Pope's name. “Yes, Our Lady pronounced his name.” Lucia said, “We did not know whether it meant a Pope or a king. However, Our Lady did speak of Pius XI.”

“But the war did not begin under Pius XI.”

“The annexation of Austria gave occasion for the war,” replied Lucia. “When the Munich Accord was made, the sisters rejoice for they thought peace was secured. Unhappily, I knew more than they.”

“And what about that great sign that god was going to give the world that He was going to punish it for its crimes?”

Lucia answered that this sign was the appearance of the “Great Northern Lights” of 1938 when unusual lights appeared in the skies of the world. “This was the sign,” she said, “that God used to make me understand that His Justice was ready to deal the blow upon the guilty nations.”

“But the astronomers say that it was a common aurora borealis,” the priest countered.

“I do not know, but it seems to me that if they had studied it well, they would have realized that, owing to the circumstances under which the light appeared, it was not nor could it have been an aurora borealis.” Meanwhile World World II was raging throughout Europe, threatening to engulf the whole world.

In 1940, Lucia wrote again to the Bishop of Leiria expressing her regret that the consecration had not yet been made. “Would that the world knew the hour of grace that is being given it and would do penance.” then she wrote directly to Pope Pius XII at command of her spiritual directors, telling him the exact request of Our Lady. Lucia asked for the consecration of the world to Mary's Immaculate Heart with a special mention of Russia. The Pope deliberated long and prayerfully upon this request of Mary. In 1942, the clergy and people of Portugal celebrated the silver anniversary of the apparition of Fatima. On the last day of October of the same year, the Bishops gathered at the Cathedral of Lisbon to join with the Holy Father in fulfilling the request of Our Lady. The Pope at that time consecrated the Church and the world to her Immaculate Heart, in example of the Holy Father, to the Immaculate Heart, including the people of Russia by these words:

“Give peace to the peoples separated from us by error or by schism and especially to the ones who professes such singular devotion to thee and in whose homes an honored place was ever accorded thy venerable icon (today perhaps often kept hidden to await better days): bring them back to the one fold of Christ under the one true Shepherd .. .” Six weeks later, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, in the presence of 40,000 people the Holy Father repeated this consecration was a decisive event in the history of the world; it marks the beginning of a new era, the Age of Mary.

The following Spring, Our Blessed Lord appeared to Lucia to express the joy of His Heart over this consecration. Lucia tells about it in her letter to the Bishop of Gurza, her spiritual director. Therein we begin to realize how this consecration marked the change in the course of history. World War II that threatened to go on interminable, with its wholesale and inhuman destruction, was to end soon. And at the moment of greatest danger, when the extinction of all people by atomic bombs was at hand, the war stopped abruptly on the Feast of Our Lady!

“Your Excellency,” Lucia wrote, “The good Lord has already shown me His pleasure in the act of the Holy Father and the various Bishops, although incomplete according to His desire. In exchange, He promises to bring the war to an end soon, but the conversion of Russia will not take place yet: if the Bishops  of Spain heed the desires of Our Lord and engage in a true  reform of the people. . . good; if not, she (Russia) will again be the enemy with which God shall punish them once more.

“The good Lord is allowing himself to be appeased, but He complains bitterly and sorrowfully about the small number of souls in His grace who are willing to renounce whatever observance of the law requires of them.

This is the penance which the good Lord now asks: the sacrifice that every person has to impose upon himself is to lead a life of justice in the observance of His Law. He requires that this way be made known souls. For many, thinking that the word penance means great austerities and not feeling in themselves the strength or generosity for these, lose heart and rest in a life of lukewarmness and sin.

“Last Thursday, at midnight, while I was in chapel with my superiors’ permission, Our Lord said to me, ‘The sacrifice required of every person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observe of My law. This is the penance that I now require.’”

    Interjection

Our daily duties involve such simple things as denying oneself extra sleep when one is tire and thus getting up out of bed when one does not want to get up.

We must also go about the performance of the duties of daily life, no matter how small or great, light or heavy, with a love for the Most Holy Trinity and an earnest resolve, expressed in one’s Morning Offering, to offer all unto the Throne of the Most Blessed Trinity as he consecrated slaves of Our  Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Here is the Morning Offering associated with Our Lady of Mount Carmel as whom Our Lady appeared on October 13, 1917:

O my God, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary (here kiss the Brown Scapular), I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, joining with it my every thought, word and action of this day.

O my Jesus, I desire today to gain every indulgence and merit I can, and I offer them, together with myself, to Mary Immaculate, that she may best apply them to the interests of Thy Most Sacred Heart.

Precious Blood of Jesus, save us!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

    Amen.

Even those consecrated to the contemplative form of religious life have duties whose assiduous performance for the love of the Most Blessed Trinity as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary must be completed with as much perfection as possible in this passing, mortal vale of tears and without any kind of murmuring whatsoever.

What we give freely each day, you see, we must give freely, joyfully and lovingly as we take seriously the following words contained in Holy Writ:

Now this I say: He who soweth sparingly, shall also reap sparingly: and he who soweth in blessings, shall also reap blessings. [7] Every one as he hath determined in his heart, not with sadness, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. (2 Cor. 9: 6-7.)

Every single one of our duties must be performed with attention to detail and without wearying at the labor, recognizing that we must work until we are no longer physically and/or mentally able to do so, remembering these words that Pope Leo XIII spoke to Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini during one of her pilgrimages to Rome after she had gone to the Americas to do her missionary work among the Italians who had settled there:

Codogno, the cradle of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, required Mother Cabrini's presence. Hence the active foundress, after only thirteen months of incessant labor during which she founded new convents in Granada and New Orleans, and added new works of mercy to her apostolic field returned to Italy.

It was at the time of Pope Leo's golden jubilee as a priest. She made it a point, therefore, to visit the Holy Father and ask him for his blessing.

By this time Mother Cabrini was well known among the Noble Guards. She was one of the privileged few who could have a private audience with the Pontiff. Yet, one day, after a private audience with the Holy Father, Mother Cabrini stopped with a group of sisters in the first gallery. She loved the Pope so much that she took every opportunity to see him. He, in turn, immediately spotted the foundress among her sisters and asked her:

"How many Sisters are leaving for America this time?"

    "Sixteen, Your Holiness?"

    "When are they leaving?'

    "In September, Holy Father."

"Let us work, Cabrini, let us work, for after there is a beautiful paradise."

"I like to work, Your Holiness, but will paradise be ours?"

"Certainly, paradise is for those who work like you. Courage, Cabrini, on with your work...onward until death." The Holy Father pronounced those last words with such ardor that all who heard him were deeply impressed. When he reached the entrance to his apartments he turned and repeated: "Let us work, Cabrini, let us work." Mother Cabrini followed him with her eyes until he was out of sight; she was radiant with joy, for the Supreme Pontiff had promised her heaven if she continued her work." (Mother Cabrini, pp. 91-92.)

The narrative in the Mother of Christ Crusade noted that Pope Pius  XII had consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1942 but not Russia specifically, and not Russia collegially with all the world’s bishops:

Our Lord said that the act of the Holy Father is incomplete, but it cannot be completed until every individual, every home, every diocese and every country consecrates itself, after the example of the Holy Father, to the Immaculate Heart. For as the Bishop of Leiria wrote, “At the request of the Bishops of Portugal and of Sister Lucia Herself, the Holy Father, in the course of his most famous message to Portugal, at the close of the Fatima Jubilee on October 31, 1942, made the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a consecration which we all must repeat officially and personally.”

    Interjection:

Note that the Bishop of Leiria-Fatima had referenced that request of Pope Pius XII for an act of consecration had been made not only the bishops of Portugal themselves but by Sister Lucia, thus adding ecclesiastical approbation to the role of Sister Lucia dos Santos was given by Our Lady to play in her communications about the Fatima Message to the Holy Father.

The next passage contains a rebuke to the false conciliar religion’s heretical proposition, which has been expressed in a de facto manner by the conciliar authorities, most especially by Jorge Mario Bergoglio in the past seven years, of universal salvation:

This personal consecration has four essential elements, grace, penance, the Rosary, and reparation. “Our Lord complained bitterly and sorrowfully about the small number of souls in His grace …” Our Lady came to bring peace to the world and the foundation of peace is the possession of grace. Wars are only punishment for the sins of the world. Grace makes man only and pleasing to God. Only when grace illumines man's soul is there peace between God and man. And when peace reigns between God and man, Mary will reward the world with peace.

    Interjection:

There can never be peace in the world when vast numbers of human beings are at war with God by means of their sins even though they themselves may not realize that their thoughts, words and deeds are sinful in the objective order of things. Disorder and chaos in society and even natural disasters are the logical consequences of disorder and chaos in the souls of men.

It is not American “exceptionalism” that makes us pleasing to God.

It is not “conservatism” that makes us pleasing to God.

It is not obeying Anthony Fauci or Deborah Birx or the “social distance” fascism of the Centers for Disease Control that makes us pleasing to God.

It is not any kind of political philosophy or ideology or other forms of naturalist thought that can make our souls pleasing to God and acts meritorious in His sight and unto the credit of our sanctification and salvation.

To please God we must be in a state of Sanctifying Grace as members of the Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order, and the Catholic Church is not and can never be the counterfeit church of concilarism.

As noted before, we need not perform extraordinary actions or make heroic sacrifices to fulfill Our Our Lady’s Fatima Message. We must simply do our daily duties for love of God and for the good of souls, starting with our very own:

To persevere in this peace and the grace of God, man need not perform heroic sacrifices as did the children of Fatima; rather, they must fulfill their daily duties in life. And because these duties are oftentimes hard and burdensome, they become worlds of penance and sacrifice. “The sacrifice required of every person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observance of My law. This is that penance that I now seek and require.” In the Gospel, Our Lord speaks of this as man's “daily cross.” “If any man will come after Me let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23).

A final passage explains that we must imitate Our Lord Himself by having a deep love of His Blessed Mother, she who made possible His own Incarnation by her perfect fiat at the Annunciation and is the Queen of Martyrs who brought us forth in great pain as the adopted sons and daughters of the true God at the foot of His own Holy Cross:

An essential element in the life of Christ was a deep love of His Mother, Mary. So the true disciple of Christ must share in this love for Mary and prove it in his daily life through the recitation of the Rosary. The person who says his beads sincerely is bound to be pleasing to God and draws God's grace unto himself. Also, the Rosary gives Mary new power to crush the head of the Serpent and to destroy his evil power over the world.

Communions of Reparation are also required for the fulfillment of this personal consecration to Our Lady. It was no mere coincidence that Our Lord requested the Communions of Reparation on the First Saturdays in almost the same words that He used when He spoke to Saint Margaret Mary about the First Fridays. He desires that this devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary be made known and spread throughout the world and that it becomes a common practice like that of the First Fridays.

Mind you, as noted earlier, this was all based upon the messages communicated to Sister Lucia dos Santos by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus and/or His Most Blessed Mother after October 13, 1917, and the fact that Holy Mother Church has heeded these words should instruct that wary to recognize that we must pay attention and obey the words of Our Lady that are good enough for a true Successor of Saint Peter.

There is a simple remedy for the problems of this wicked word. It is so simple that even many believing Catholics, all too many of whom are engrossed in the various farcical events in our world of Judeo-Masonic naturalism that are as much a distraction to the interior life of the soul as they are a chastisement for our sins, want something more “complex” than the remedy that Our Lady herself provided mankind at the behest of her Divine Son: namely, the collegial consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart by a true pope with all of the world’s bishops

Sister Lucia, however, explained to William Thomas Walsh on September 15, 1946, the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that Pope Pius XII's 1944 consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary did not fulfill Our Lady’s request:

Finally we came to the important subject of the second July secret, of which so many different and conflicting versions have been published. Lucia made it plain that Our Lady did not ask for the consecration of the world to her Immaculate Heart. What she demanded specifically was the consecration of Russia. She did not comment, of course, on the fact that Pope Pius XII had consecrated the world, not Russia, to the Immaculate Heart in 1942. But she said more than once, and with deliberate emphasis:

“What Our Lady wants is that the Pope and all the bishops in the world shall consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart on one special day. If this is done, she will convert Russia and there will be peace. If it is not done, the errors of Russia will spread through every country in the world.”

“Does this mean, in your opinion, that every country, without exception, will be overcome by Communism?”

    Yes.

It was plain that she felt that Our Lady’s wishes had not yet been carried out. People must say the Rosary, perform sacrifices, make the five first Saturday Communions, pray for the Holy Father.

“Did Our Lady ever say anything to you about the United States of America?”

She gave me a rather studied glance, and then smiled in faint amusement, as if to suggest that perhaps the United States was not so important in the general scheme of things as I imagined.  (William Thomas Walsh, Our Lady of Fatima, published by Doubleday, New York, New York, 1954, pp. 228-229.)

No, the United States of America is not as important as most Americans, including most American Catholics, have imagined, but it has been, of course, overcome by Communism, albeit of a “soft” nature that envelops both the false opposites of the naturalist “left” and “right.” There goes the Judeo-Masonic myth of "American exceptionalism" down the sink hole.

Sister Lucia wrote to Pope Pius XII in 1940 to make a request of him directly, specifying once again the necessity of a collegial consecration of Russia to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart:

    Most Holy Father,

Humbly prostrated at your feet, I come as the last sheep of the fold entrusted to you to open my heart, by order of my spiritual director.

I am the only survivor of the children to whom our Lady appeared in Fátima (Portugal) from the 13th of May to the 13th of October 1917. The Blessed Virgin has granted me many graces, the greatest of all being my admission to the Institute of Saint Dorothy. (To here this is copy of the sketch the Bishop sent me.)

I come, Most Holy Father, to renew a request that has already been brought to you several times. The request, Most Holy Father, is from our Lord and our good Mother in Heaven.

In 1917, in the portion of the apparitions that we have designated "the secret," the Blessed Virgin revealed the end of the war that was then afflicting Europe, and predicted another forthcoming, saying that to prevent it She would come and ask the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart as well as the Communion of reparation on the first Saturday. She promised peace and the conversion of that nation if Her request was attended to. She announced that otherwise this nation would spread her errors throughout the world, and there would be wars, persecutions of the Holy Church, martyrdom of many Christians, several persecutions and sufferings reserved for Your Holiness, and the annihilation of several nations.

Most Holy Father, this remained a secret until 1926 according to the express will of our Lady. Then, in a revelation She asked that the Communion of reparation on the first Saturdays of five consecutive months be propagated throughout the world, with its conditions of doing the following with the same purpose; going to confession, meditating for a quarter of an hour on the mysteries of the Rosary and saying the Rosary with the aim of making reparation for the insults, sacrileges and indifferences committed against Her Immaculate Heart. Our good Heavenly Mother promises to assist the persons who practise this devotion, in the hour of their death, with all the necessary graces for their salvation. I exposed the request of our Lady to my confessor, who tried to have it fulfilled, but only on the 13th of September 1939 did His Excellency the Bishop of Leiria make public in Fatima this request of our Lady.

I take this opportunity, Most Holy Father, to ask you to bless and extend this devotion to the whole world. In 1929, through another apparition, our Lady asked for the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, promising its conversion through this means and the hindering of the propagation of its errors.

Sometime afterwards I told my confessor of the request of our Lady. He tried to fulfill it by making it known to Pius XI.

In several intimate communications our Lord has not stopped insisting on this request, promising lately, to shorten the days of tribulation which He has determined to punish the nations for their crimes, through war, famine and several persecutions of the Holy Church and Your Holiness, if you will consecrate the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, with a special mention for Russia, and order that all the Bishops of the world do the same in union with Your Holiness. I truly feel your sufferings, Most Holy Father! And, at much as I can through my humble prayers and sacrifices, I try to lessen them, close to our Lord and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Most Holy Father, if in the union of my soul with God I have not been deceived, our Lord promises a special protection to our country in this war, due to the consecration of the nation by the Portuguese Prelates, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary; as proof of the graces that would have been granted to other nations, had they also consecrated themselves to Her.

Now, Most Holy Father, allow me to make one more request, which is but an ardent wish of my humble heart; that the feast in honour of the Immaculate Heart of Mary be extended throughout the whole world as one of the main feasts of the Holy Church.

With the deepest respect and reverence I ask for the Apostolic Blessing. May God protect Your Holiness.

Tuy, Spain, 2nd of December of 1940.
    Maria Lucia de Jesus

From Novos Documentos de Fátima, Fr. Anthony Mario Martins, SJ (Oporto: 1984). English edition: Documents on Fatima & Memoirs of Sr. Lucia. (Alexandria, SD: Fatima Family Apostolate, 1992).  (Fatima Consecration Timeline. This timeline includes the false consecrations of the world to Our Lady of Fatima and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that were performed by Karol Josef Wojtyla/John Paul II. However, the documentation of Sister Lucia dos Santos's letter to Pope Pius XII is to be found here.

Describing Our Lady’s Fatima Message as “Fatima is the summation of my thinking. The time for doubting Fatima is passed. It is now time for action,” Pope Pius XII consecrated the world, but not Russia specifically, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1942, and then instituted the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary two years later, that is, in 1944, and inserted it in the calendar to be celebrated on August 22, the Octave Day of Our Lady’s Assumption, which he would define dogmatically in 1950.

Sister Lucia had thus written to Pope Pius XII six years before her interview with William Thomas Walsh. She remained adamant in her conviction that His Holiness had not followed Our Lady's request, and as we know so very well, the real Sister Lucia dos Santos was never to be seen publicly again after Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII commenced what became the constant warfare against Our Lady of Fatima and her Message that has been waged by the conciliar revolutionaries up to now, 2020, including urging the civil authorities to close off the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13, 2020, and surround it with armed military forces. It is an offense against the unalterable holiness of Holy Mother Church to believe that this could the work of her true popes and her true bishops.

As Dom Prosper Gueranger. O.S.B., noted in his reflection on the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, which was instituted by Pope Pius VII to commemorate his triumphal return to Rome on May 24, 1814, after five years as the captive of Napoleon Bonaparte in Fontainbleau in France, that even schismatics and heretics recognized the temporal power of the world's true monarch in the person of the Successor of Saint Peter:

What a day was the 24th of May, which witnessed the triumph return of the Pontiff into the holy City, whence he had been dragged during the night by the soldiers of an ambitious tyrant! He made the journey in short stages, meeting, on his way, the allied armies of Europe, who recognized his right as King. This right is superior, both in antiquity and dignity, to that of all other monarchs; and no matter whether they be heretics, schismatics or Catholics, must admit it, were it only the strength of its being an historical fact. (Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., The Liturgical Year, Paschal Time, Book II, Volume 8, p. 540.)

We must continue to pray for the restoration of a true pope on the Throne of Saint Peter!

On the Feast of Saint Peter Celestine (Pope Saint Celestine V)

As noted at the beginning of this commentary, Joseph Alois Ratzinger has been in the forefront of deconstructing and misrepresenting Our Lady and her Fatima Message, up to and including denying the actual physicality of Our Lady’s apparitions in the Cova da Iria to Jacina and Francisco Marto and their cousin Lucia dos Santos by dismissing the apparitions as but “interior visions.” He further compounded this “official” distortion in the interview he gave in 2000 wherein he deconstructed the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary by daring to assert that this triumph referred to making our own hearts “immaculate,” disregarding the fact that Our Lady’s Most Pure Immaculate Heart is one of the effects of her Immaculate Conception.

Well, this notorious apostle of the condemned “new theology” who promised us seven years ago upon his resignation as the universal public face of apostasy that he would remain “hidden from the world” in yet another novelty of his own warped mind, namely, that of the “office” of “Pope Emeritus,” has finally chosen fit to inform us that he never meant to resign from the “spiritual dimension” of his antipapacy, thereby deny the unicity of the papacy. However, what is this to a man who has denied the unicity of the Catholic Church and who stated clearly on August 19, 2005, that the ecumenism of the “Second” Vatican Council was not the “ecumenism of the return,” thus blaspheming the martyrdom of such Catholic saints as Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, Saint Jospahat Kuncewicz, the Martyrs of Gorkum, the English and Irish Martyrs and, among so many others, Saint Andrew Bobola, to say nothing of the work of so many saints and doctors, including the Apostle of Charity, Saint Francis de Sales, himself.

One who resigns the papacy leaves it behind whole and entire. He is longer pope and has nothing left of the papal office, something that the saint whose feast we celebrate today, Saint Peter Celestine, who reigned as Pope Saint Celestine V before his resignation, understood. Saint Peter Celestine was humble. He knew his Catholic theology, and, convinced of his own poor administrative skills, he resigned and lived a life of solitude while knowing that the office was held in its entirety by his successor, Pope Boniface VIII. Pope Saint Celestine did not claim that he had any share of the papacy as a resignation by true pope from the papacy makes the Throne of Saint Peter vacant. Ratzinger, however, is forever reinventing that which is immutable, the Catholic Faith and those who believe that this wretched Modernist, whose Modernism in couched in his supposedly urbane and “cultured” veener as opposed to the more vulgar, venal, crass Jacobin/Bolshevik Bergoglio, is a member of the Catholic Church is to be pitied as one must hold to everything contained in the Sacred Deposit of Faith to be within the Barque of Saint Peter.

Pope Saint Peter Celestine (Celestine V) did not consider himself a “pope emeritus” when he resigned as the Bishop of Rome on December 13, 1294. Saint Peter Celestine tried resuming his life as a simple hermit. He had considered himself an unfit administrator of Holy Mother Church and desired to live a simple life of prayer. It was in God’s Holy Providence that his renown for sanctity led Catholics to seek him out while in solitude, which prompted his successor, Pope Boniface VIII, to have him arrested and detained as a prisoner until he died on May 19, 1303. Ratzinger makes himself available for interviews constantly, and he is forever writing letters and publishing books. He, one of the chief arhitects of the attacks upon Our Lady’s Fatima Message, is simply one of the many minions of hell who must renounce their errors before their die.

The readings for Matins contained in today’s Divine Office for the Feast of Saint Peter Celestine summarize the life of the humble monk who, unlike Joseph Alois Ratzinger, actually was a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter before his resignation:

This Peter, who is called Peter Celestine, because when he became Pope he did so under the title of Celestine V, was the son of respectable Catholic parents, and was born at Isernia in Apulia, about the year of grace 1221. He was hardly entered on boyhood, when he withdrew into a desert, in order to keep his soul safe from the snares of the world. In solitude he fed his mind with heavenly meditation, and brought his body into subjection, even by wearing an iron chain next to his bare flesh. He founded, under the Rule of St. Benedict, that congregation which was afterwards known as the Celestine. His light, as of a candle set upon a candlestick, could not be kept hidden, and after the Church of Rome had for a long while been widowed of a shepherd, he was chosen without his knowledge and in his absence, to fill the chair of Peter. The news of his election filled himself with as great amazement, as it did all others with sudden joy. When, however, he was seated in the exalted place of the Papal dignity, he found that the many cares by which he was beset made it well-nigh impossible for him to give himself to his accustomed meditations after four months, of his own free will he resigned the burden and the honour together (on the 13th day of December, 1294); and, while he sought to return to his old way of life, on the 19th day of May, 1296, he fell asleep in the Lord. How precious his death was in His sight was gloriously manifested by a Cross which appeared shining in the air before the door of the cell. He was illustrious for miracles both during his life and after his death, and when these had been duly investigated, Clement V., in the eleventh year after his departure hence, enrolled his name among those of the Saints. (Matins, Divine Office, Feast of Saint Peter Celestine, May 19.)

Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., explained the wonderful nature of Saint Peter Celestine’s abiding humility:

Our Paschal season, which has already given us the admirable Doctor St. Leo, brings before us to-day the humble Peter Celestine. He was, like Leo, sovereign pontiff, but no sooner was he throned on the chair of Peter than he left it to return to solitude. Among the long list of sainted men who compose the venerable list of Roman Pontiffs, our Lord would have one in whose person was to be represented the virtue of humility; that honour was conferred on Peter Celsetine. He was dragged from the quiet of his solitude, compelled to ascend the throne of St. Peter, and made to hold in his trembling hand the keys of the kingdom of heaven. The holy hermit, whose eyes had ever been fixed on his own weakness, had them to provide for the necessities of the whole Church. In his humility, he judged himself to be unequal to so heavy a responsibility. He resigned the tiara, and begged to be permitted to return to his dear hermitage. His divine Master, Christ, had, in like manner, concealed his glory, first in thirty years of hidden life, and then, later on, under the cloud of his Passion and Sepeulchre. The sunshine of the Pasch came; the gloom was dispersed, and the Conqueror of Death arose in all his splendour. He would have his servants share in this triumph and glory; but their share is to be greater or less, accorind to the measure in which they have, here on earth, his humility. Who, then, could describe the glory which Peter Celestine receives in heaven, as a recompense for the profound humility which made him more eager to be unknown than the most amibitious of men for honor and fame? He was great on the pontifical throne, and still greater in his solitude; but his greatness, now that he is in heaven, surpasses all human thought. (Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., The Liturgical Year, Paschal Time, Book II, Volume 8, pp. 524-525.)

In other words, Saint Peter Celestine was on earth everything that Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who just can't seem to stay out of the public  limelight, admired in him but which the retired antipope and Modernist could never achieve because of his prideful attachment to concepts anathematized by the Catholic Church and thus inimical to the good of souls, including his own priestly soul.

Dom Prosper Gueranger's prayer to Saint Pudentiana, whose feast is also commemorated on this Rogation Day, Tuesay, May 19, 2020, speaks of the situation facing Holy Mother Church in the Nineteenth Century following the overthrow of the Papal States, a prayer that is relevant today as the See of Saint Peter has been seized by heretics, who have in their own turn made war upon the very message of the Mother of God that she entrusted to the Fatima children because they are but instruments of a new world order that is premised upon the inversion of all reality, including the subordination of what is believed to be the Catholic Church to civil authorities who hate Christ the King and His Most Blessed Mother:

Like the dove of Noe's Ark, that found not where to rest her feet on guilty earth, thou didst take thy flight, O Pudentiana, and rest in the bosom of Jesus, thy Spouse. Thus it will be at the end of the world, when the souls of the elect shall have been reunited to their bodies; they will fly like eagles to their King, and will cluster around him as the object of all their desires. They will flee from this sinful earth, as thou didst from the abominations of pagan Rome, that was drunk with the blood of the martyrs. We celebrate thy depature, dear youthful Saint, with a feeling of hope for our future deliverance; we honor thy entrance into thy eternal home, and we long to be there, together with thee. Oh! gain for us detachment from all transitory things, inenser love of the new life which came to us with Easter, and indifference as to wha concerns that other lower life, which is not that of our Risen Lord. Thou wast a daughter of the holy Church of Rome; pray, then, for thy mother. She is suffering now as she did during the pontificate of Pius I. After having reigned over Christian nations for centuries, she is now abandoned and disowned by the very people that owe all that they have to her, and yet are now turning her own blessings against her. Use thine influence, O Pudentiana! assist and protect thine and our dearest mother. (Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., The Liturgical Year, Paschal Time, Book II, Volume 8, pp. 528-528.)

Jorge Mario Bergoglio and his band of conciliar fiends have serve as the most able and willing accomplices that the lords of Modernity could have ever expected, and this is part of the reason they have joined with these other minions of the adversary to be as much warfare upon Our Lady's Fatima Message as they have upon the Catholic Faith itself.

As We Rely Upon Our Lady in the month of May and Do Our Part to Fulfill Her Fatima Message

The month of May is the month of Mary. A long exposition on Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary according to the formula of Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort can be found in Volume Three of To Live in Light of Eternity.

It is worth emphasizing the importance of doing our own part to fulfill Our Lady's Fatima Message and to recognize that, by doing so, will we, at least in some and imperceptible way, help to expedite the glorious day when a true pope will be restored to the Throne of Saint Peter and thus to the complete fulfillment of Our Lady's request to have Russia consecrated to her Immaculate Heart with all the world's true bishops. Although this Act of Consecration will be late in time, it will nevertheless advance Heaven's Fatima Peace Plan according to the mysterious designs of the Providence of God, Who wants us to use every circumstance of our lives in the advancement of His own greater honor and glory as the consecrated slaves of His Co-Equal and Co-Equal Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The following passage from the 1947 that was republished by the Mother of Christ Crusade in 1981 is worth repeating to remind us of how we can do our part to advance Heaven's Fatima Peace Plan in our own lives and in our own homes:

Here is Pope Pius XII's 1942 Act of Consecration that is recommended to us to be prayed. We do so on the First Saturday of every month as it is found in The Raccolta:

Queen of the most holy Rosary, help of Christians, refuge of the human race, victorious in all the battles of God, we prostrate ourselves in supplication before thy throne, in the sure hope of obtaining mercy and of receiving grace and timely aid in our present calamities, not through any merits of our own on which we do not rely, but only through the immense goodness of thy mother’s Heart. In Thee and in thy Immaculate Heart, at this grave hour of human history, do we put our trust; to thee we consecrate ourselves, not only with all of Holy Church, which is the mystical body of thy Son Jesus, and which is suffering in so many of her members, being persecuted, but also with the whole world, torn by discords, agitated with the hatred, the victim of its own iniquities. Be thou moved by the sight of such material and moral degradation, such sorrows, such anguish, so many tormented souls in danger of eternal loss! Do thou, O Mother of mercy, obtain for us from God a Christ-like reconciliation of the nations, as well as those graces which can convert the souls of men in an instant, those graces which prepare the way and make certain the long desired coming of peace on earth. O Queen of peace, pray for us, and grant unto the world in the truth, the justice, and the charity of Christ. Above all, give us peace in our hearts, so that the kingdom of God, may spread it the tranquility of order. Accord thy protection to unbelievers and to all those who lie in the shadow of death; cause the Sun of Truth to rise upon them; may they enabled to join with us in repeating before the Saviour of the world: “Glory to God in the highest, and peace to men of good will.” Give peace to the nations that are separated us from error or discord, and in a special manner to those peoples who profess a singular devotion toward thee; bring them back to Christ’s one fold, under the one true Shepherd. Obtain full freedom for the holy Church of God; defend her from her enemies; check the ever-increasing torrent of immorality; arouse in the faithful a practical love of purity, a practical Christian life, and an apostolic zeal, so that the number of those who serve God may increase in merit and in number. Finally, even as the Church and all mankind were once consecrated to the Heart of thy Son Jesus, because He was for all those who put their hope in Him an inexhaustible source of victory and salvation, so in like manner do we consecrate ourselves forever to thee also and to thy Immaculate Heart, Of Mother us and Queen of the world; may thy love and patronage hasten the day when the kingdom of God shall be victorious and all the nations, at peace with God and with one another, shall call thee blessed and intone with thee, from the rising of the sun to its going down, the everlasting “Magnificat” of glory, of love, of gratitude to the Heart of Jesus in which we alone can find truth, life, and peace. (Pope Pius XII, Rescript from the Secretariat of State, November 17, 1942, document exhibited, November 19, 1942, The Raccolta: A Manual of Indulgences, Prayers and Devotions Enriched with Indulgences, approved by Pope Pius XII, May 30, 1951, and published in English by Benziger Brothers, New York, 1957, pp. 345-347.)

We never surrender to despair in these challenging times when the combined forces of Antichrist are converging upon us.

    We are Catholics.

We trust in the Providence of God as we remain ever reliant upon and confident in--but never presumptuous of--the help of Our Lady, especially by means of daily and meditative recitation of her Most Holy Rosary, remembering that to win the favor of Heaven it is a terrible idea to pray as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits.

The final victory belongs to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and to this end may our minds be uplifted towards Heaven always as we go about our daily duties for love of God and the good of souls, starting with our own, as the consecrated slaves of Jesus through Mary.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
