The Mental Illness Card: Refuge of the Bullies of Latter Day Paganism
Revolutionaries of all varieties, whether social or ecclesiastical, have long sought to denounce and isolate those who disagree with them by all manner of pejoratives, up to and including the use of the “mentally ill card.” This was a favorite tool of Vladmir I. Lenin and Joseph Stalin, and it has been a tool that has been used to the hilt by the conciliar revolutionaries.
It's always the same with revolutionaries, whether they are in the world of Modernity or in the world of Modernism, as it is of the nature of rebels after they acquire power to use the same tactics of intimidation and fear that they claim were used to “repress” their ascent to power. In other words, revolutionaries are hypocrites as they want to use power arbitrarily and autocratically to repress anyone who dares to criticize their tyrannical ways, and no one is more hypocritical and more tyrannical the master tyrant and bully from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge Mario Bergoglio.
Revolutionaries are worried about those who dissent from their own ideological "orthodoxy" because they are fascists.
Revolutionaries wax on and on about mercy while showing mercilessness to those who disagree with their revolutionary schemes.
Revolutionaries speak of humility while being arrogant and dismissive of those they view with contempt.
Revolutionaries say they eschew those who “judge” others while judging “counter-revolutionaries” with great harshness.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio is now what he has always been, a fascist, a man who uses insults, invectives and methods of active persecution to marginalize, humiliate and punish those he believes must be excluded from his plans of inclusiveness.
As noted on this site so many times in the past, however, the likes of Jorge Mario Bergoglio have been a dime a dozen from the very earliest days of the conciliar revolution, which was itself foisted upon by the faithful by clericalist bullies who hated Catholic Faith, Worship and Morals and who even used the pulpit in the 1970s to denounce members of the laity in various parishes who were known for their outspokenness against the conciliar revolution.
Bergoglio and his fellow fiends have used some of the same methods as employed by Joseph Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, Leonid Brezhnev and Mikhail Gorbachev to stigmatize those guilty of “thought crimes” with diagnoses of “mental illness” in order to break down their resistance to ideological “truth” by means of psychiatric reprogramming, which is why he sought to persecute the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate by placing them under the supervision of the late “Father” Fidenzio Volpi, O.F.M., eight years ago, and it is why he also persecuted the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate simultaneously.
Although largely anecdotal and not as of yet recounted in a systematic manner in any one place, many of us know numerous instances in which priests and religious have been sent to psychiatric reprogramming centers because they resisted the first wave of the conciliar "reforms" in the middle to latter part of the 1960s. This persecution of those deemed to be "conservative" or "rigid" has continued in many dioceses and religious communities to this very day.
We were told some fifteen years ago now of some very compelling stories by a consecrated religious woman who had worked as a nurse prior to entering the religious life, one of which involved a woman religious in the 1960s who was told by her superiors to report to a psychiatrist for “evaluation” because she would not give up her community's traditional habit.
The psychiatrist knew the consecrated religious because she had worked in the same hospital for a while as a nurse. He told to get out of the hospital immediately, that there was nothing wrong with her, but that she should not return to her community as there was an effort to imprison those priests and religious who resisted the conciliar changes. The psychiatrist led the religious woman, who told the story to our narrator, herself in traditional religious life, to a door where she could exit without being noticed, although she had seen many of her “disappeared” sisters sitting in wheelchairs in a doped-up state on her way into the psychiatrist's office.
This particular story has credibility as I know of men who have been candidates for the conciliar presbyterate who have been screened out in many dioceses and religious communities because they have been deemed to suffer from "rigidity."
As I have recounted on other occasions, the secular Talmudic psychologist who screened candidates for the Diocese of Rockville Centre for many years, the late Dr. Leonard Krinsky, came to some interesting conclusions following about me in May of 1979 following a psychological evaluation of me. Dr. Krinsky, now deceased, wrote that my concept of the priesthood as the sacerdos was preconciliar and self-centered, noting that that my desire to live a priestly life of prayer, penance, self-denial and mortification were "possible signs of masochism." Dr. Krinsky’s report concluded by saying that while I was “free of any psychopathology, intelligent, creative, and had the capacity for rich, interpersonal relationships,” I “lacked the sufficient flexibility needed to adapt to the changing circumstances of a postconciliar vocation.”' In other words, I was "too rigid" in my beliefs, something that many other vocations directors, both for dioceses and religious communities told me in the 1970s and 1980s.
I know of scores of men who were persecuted for their "conservatism" after their installation as presbyters in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
One man, the late Reverend Anthony Dandry, who was a seminarian with me at Holy Apostles Seminary during the 1983-1984 academic year, told me that he had been ordered to seek a psychological evaluation because he wore a biretta and preached about the reality of hell “too much.” Tony Dandry may not have been a true priest. However, he was very devoted to Our Lady, believing that he had been “ordained” as a priest to save souls, not to make his parishioners feel comfortable. After seeking the advice of a true priest, the late Father Benedict Groeschel, within the conciliar structures, though, he arranged to get an evaluation from a psychologist not associated with his diocese, obtaining a clean bill of mental health thereafter.
Yes, good readers, stories related in the past on this site about the abuse of psychiatry and psychology in the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics are very relevant to what has been happening and what continues to happen to men and to women in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who are deemed to be “rigid” and thus “mentally deficient” by the “merciful” and “non-judgmental” agents of Antichrist, to say nothing of those who are helping to expose the moral rote within a false religious sect that is doctrinally, liturgically and pastorally corrupt.
The use of the “mental illness card” is also a refuge of the globalist scoundrels and their minions to intimidate and imprison opponents of “mask” and “vaccine” mandates. The plight of a sixty-six-year-old woman Ireland, once the land of Saints and Scholars, is especially instructive in this regard as it shows how completely many Irishmen have lost the Faith because of the conciliar revolution and have become full-throated apologists for Red Chinese-style totalitarianism:
A 66-year-old grandmother who has multiple convictions for failing to wear a mask in shops during the pandemic is expected to remain in jail over Christmas after she received a six-month sentence for her offending from a Judge who criticised her for her “wilful disregards for others”.
Margaret Buttimer, of The Cottage, St Fintan’s Road, Bandon, Co Cork appeared before Bandon District Court on Thursday having entered a not guilty plea after she failed to put on a mask when she entered Jakes Restaurant in the town on the morning of November 17th last.
Judge James McNulty heard that Ms Buttimer refused to leave the restaurant. A senior member of staff onsite had asked her to leave 15 times. However, instead she stood waiting at the counter for gardaí to arrive. Gardaí and staff asked her put on a mask or leave the premises. She declined to do both.
Judge James McNulty has heard several of the cases against Ms Buttimer who was without convictions until the pandemic hit and she refused to wear masks whilst out shopping. Both he and his colleague Judge Colm Roberts have expressed their inability to understand the offending behaviour of Ms Buttimer who has been described as an otherwise “pleasant” woman who had lived an “unblemished” life. (Judge criticises ‘absurd selfishness’ of woman with eight convictions for not wearing mask.)
Interjection Number One:
“Unable to understand the offending behavior”?
In other words, one’s refusal to comply with statist measures that do nothing to preserve public health and are harmful to the human body, which God has not made to ingest high levels of one’s own carbon dioxide on a sustained level, is considered to “offending behavior” that Judge James McNulty would have believe makes it difficult to “understand.” McNulty is thus unable of understanding Mrs. Buttimer’s courageous resistance to the globalist agenda that has nothing to do with genuine public health and everything to do with social control in the name of “keeping people safe” from a virus that has actual morality rate of far less then one percent when treated properly by physicians who are committed to treating patients on an individual basis and not according to a “one size fits all” set of protocols that are causing the deaths of most of those who get infected with the CCP/Wuhan/Red China/Red Chinese/Covid-19/Coronavirus.
Judge McNulty’s inability to understand Mrs. Buttimer’s courage calls to mind the inability of Roman emperors and their minions to understand why our spiritual ancestors were unwilling to permit Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to be venerated as a “god” along with their mythological deities in the Pantheon and/or refused to deny their Faith in Christ the King before men at the price of their very lives.
We are eyewitnesses to a return to the very times of Holy Mother Church’s infancy in which submission to magistrates meant everything and a profession in Christ the King and His true Church subjected one to punishments of varying sorts, up to and including torturous deaths.
I return you now to the next section in the Irish Times news report:
Judge McNulty has attempted to discuss the rationale for Ms Buttimer’s decision not to wear masks with her on a number of occasions. She has previously told the court that she is unsure of the efficacy of masks and uncertain if Covid actually exists. Ms Buttimer has been before the courts over eight times since last May. At one point she told a store manager that she was “only answerable to God”.
On Thursday, Judge McNulty said it was a “sad and perplexing case” and that he was frustrated by Ms Buttimer’s “absurd selfishness”. (Judge criticises ‘absurd selfishness’ of woman with eight convictions for not wearing mask.)
Interjection Number Two:
A refusal to wear mask that does not prevent one from catching any disease is not a violation of the any of the precepts of the Divine Positive Law or of the Natural Law. It is not a sin, and no one. Including Mrs. Buttimer, will be judged by Christ the King when he dies on his refusal to obey unjust rules made by petty tyrants who enforce laws that “permit” the chemical and surgical execution of the innocent preborn and that oversee declarations of “brain death” so that living human beings can be killed outright or vivisected to death in the name of “giving the gift of life.”
Back to madness of the truly insane who declare as insane those who see that the Emperors of Public Health for what they are: power-hungry statist maniacs who believe that killing a baby is a matter of “choice” and that a refusal to conform to unjust mandates are “mass murderers”:
Judge McNulty stated that whilst the defendant was entitled not to wear a mask she did not have the right to mix with others without a face covering at a time when a virus is in the community. The court previously heard that Ms Buttimer has refused to have a Covid vaccination and that she visits her elderly mother without putting on a mask.
Head chef at Jakes restaurant, David Long, was on duty on the morning of the offence. Ms Buttimer entered the premises. She did not have a Covid cert and refused to wear a mask.
Mr Long told the judge he asked Ms Buttimer to put on a mask about 15 times before he decided to call his manager, who told him to phone gardaí.
Ms Buttimer’s solicitor, Plunkett Taaffe, handed in a report from a geriatric consultant psychiatrist which detailed an MRI scan carried out on Ms Buttimer which found no anomalies.
He said the loved ones of his client had noted a change in her in that she was forgetting things. They believe that she is developing some major problems with her memory. A psychiatrist and a psychologist have also assessed Ms Buttimer but have yet to establish any definitive diagnosis. (Judge criticises ‘absurd selfishness’ of woman with eight convictions for not wearing mask.)
Interjection Number Three:
One century after the discredited eugenics of utilitarians such as Margaret Sanger, the mad hatters at the Rockefeller Foundation and its satellite, the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, that influenced judicial positivists such as Associate Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, supposedly sane and sober judges and “mental health professionals” are at it again in the search “brain anomalies” that might explain Mrs. Buttimer’s “murderous” behavior. We have a phrase in my home state that describes this situation: “These people are nuts.” One’s brain must be anomalous in order to reject the diktats of the ruling elite. This is truly a case of the inmates running the asylum.
As for Mrs. Buttimer’s forgetfulness, all that needs to be noted is that even perfectly healthy people can have faulty short-term memory problems throughout their entire life and that it is also perfectly normal for people with otherwise good memories to develop some problems, especially with short-term recall, with aging. This is not a disease. This is a not a condition. This is simply a consequence of the frailty of the body caused by Original Sin.
Return with me now to the Irish Times story:
Meanwhile, at a previous hearing, Ms Buttimer was found guilty of a similar offence at a shop in Clonakilty on October 21st last. Sentencing in that case had been adjourned until today, Thursday.
Judge McNulty expressed the view that it would be wrong to sentence Ms Buttimer to community service when she was involved in “persistent community disservice”.
He sentenced her to six months in prison in relation to the earlier offence, and imposed another six month sentence, this time suspended, for the offence in Bandon, on conditions including that she does not enter any retail or places of public resort without a mask. A sum of €500 previously posted for bail was forfeited.
Recognisance for appeal was set on her own bond of €1,000, no cash required, as well as an independent surety of €3,000, one-third in cash. Ms Buttimer left in a prison van and is expected to spend the Christmas period in custody. She now has eight convictions which relate to not wearing a mask in shops or restaurants during the pandemic. (Judge criticises ‘absurd selfishness’ of woman with eight convictions for not wearing mask.)
Words fail.
Words fail.
Mrs. Margaret Buttimer must spend Christmas in jail while mass murderers in white coats who kill babies and/or kill other innocent beings by means “brain death,” “hospice/palliative care” and by starvation and dehydration will remain free as respected “pillars” of their communities.
The people of Ireland have abandoned the liberating truths of the Holy Faith to be enslaved by the sort of Druid paganism that Saint Patrick came to Ireland to eradicate, and this has happened precisely because of the barrenness of the counterfeit church of conciliarism and its false, sacramentally invalid liturgical rites.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ spoke plainly about the fact that a good tree bears good fruit, and a bad tree bears evil fruit
By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. [19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. (Matthew 7: 16-20.)
The rotten fruit of conciliarism is plain for all to see.
Consider the fact that the exit polling data released in Ireland that was released on Whit Friday, May 25, 2018, which was also the Commemoration of Pope Saint Gregory VII and Pope Urban I, indicated that the only age group of the Irish who voted no in the referendum to repeal the Eighth Amendment consisted of those sixty-five years of age or older, and they did so only by a sixty to forty percent margin, meaning that two-fifths of older Irish Catholics themselves had been corrupted by the Modernism’s “reconciliation” with Modernity. Younger Irishmen voted overwhelmningly in favor of their wanton carnal pleasure. Hedonism has replaced Catholicism in Ireland.
The stubborn Irish rejection of the binding precepts of the Fifth Commandment’s prohibition against the direct, intentional taking of innocent human life and of what they think is the authority of the Catholic Church calls to mind the following parable told by Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to describe how the Jews were rejecting Him, their very Messias as He was about to enter Jerusalem on Palm Sunday:
As they were hearing these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately be manifested. [12] He said therefore: A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. [13] And calling his ten servants, he gave them ten pounds, and said to them: Trade till I come. [14] But his citizens hated him: and they sent an embassage after him, saying: We will not have this man to reign over us. (Luke 19: 11-14.)
The Irish long ago chose Barabbas. They did so by surrendering part of their once valorous nation’s sovereignty to the European Union in 2009 and again by choosing to vote overwhelmingly in favor of the perversity and absurdity known as “marriage” between persons of the same gender back in 2015. They have now reached a state such of absurdity that elderly women are sentenced to jail for refusing to comply with statist measures that have nothing do public life. Such a state of absurdity is but a consequence of having opened wide floodgates wide of sodomy and child-killing. Most of the Irish are children of Modernity and Modernism and are thus as one with the Jews on Good Friday who will not have the God-Man to “reign over us.” surgical execution of the innocent preborn certainly speaks to the fact that they are the children of Modernity and Modernism, products of a world that “will have” the God-Man “to reign over us.”
Meanwhile, Switzerland, which is as neutral about Christ the King and His true Church as it is in geopolitical alliances, is become home to a pagan ritual of suicide that is nothing other than diabolically inspired:
"Exit International", a company registered in Australia, offers those wishing to die a coffin-like 3-D print capsule "Sarco", in which they can leave life and control it themselves and in a targeted manner. Because more and more countries are lifting the ban on assisting suicide - including Austria recently - one suspects a lucrative market. According to company founder Philip Nitschke, the suicide of his "clients" should be possible in his capsule without doctors and the associated procedure. The “mental performance” of a person who is willing to die should be classified using artificial intelligence and no longer, as before, by psychiatrists.
"Comfortable" death capsule
The “Sarco” capsule can be activated from within by a person who wants to end his or her life. You put yourself in the "very comfortable" capsule. You ask her a few questions, when she has answered them, you can press a button in the capsule that triggers a mechanism in the desired time. The capsule sits on a device that floods the interior with nitrogen and reduces the oxygen content from 21 percent to 1 percent in around 30 seconds. The person will feel "a little disoriented and can easily be euphoric before passing out," he said. Death occurs through hypoxia and hypocapnia - that is, oxygen or carbon dioxide removal. The person does not panic or suffocate.According to Nitschke, death would occur about 5-10 minutes after being unconscious in an environment with an oxygen content of less than 1 percent. The machine can be set up anywhere - "in the idyllic outdoor area" or in the euthanasia facility, explained Nitschke.
Those willing to die love Switzerland
In Switzerland, where euthanasia has long been allowed, Nitschke sought advice on the legality of using “Sarco”. The assessment was supposedly complete, there were no legal problems, he said. People from all over the world travel to Switzerland to receive assisted euthanasia. There were around 1,300 people in the previous year. They used the euthanasia “services” of the organizations “Exit” (no connection to Exit International) and Dignitas. The method currently in use is by ingesting liquid sodium pentobarbital. After ingestion, the person falls asleep within two to five minutes before falling into a deep coma, followed shortly by death. Currently, one or more doctors must be consulted who will prescribe the sodium pentobarbital and confirm the person's psychological decision-making ability.
Suicide projects delayed by Corona
Nitschke wants to get rid of the "psychiatric examination" from this process. The aim is to develop a screening system for artificial intelligence in order to determine the full decision-making ability of the person. Psychiatrists in particular are very skeptical about this. Nitschke's idea: the person willing to die carries out an online test, receives a code and can then access “Sarco”. So far there are two prototypes of "Sarco". The first can be admired until August 2022 in the Museum of Tomb Culture in Kassel. The second was not aesthetically pleasing. For this and other reasons, it is not the best choice. Several of Sarco's complementary projects have been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. For example, the development of a camera that enables the person who wants to die to communicate with people outside the capsule. The person's consent must be recorded. That was commissioned and will be produced in the next step.
Austria: euthanasia legal from January
According to estimates, almost three percent of the world's population have a “right to self-determined death”. In Austria this will be allowed from January, the ban on providing assistance in the event of suicide has been lifted, citing, among other things, people's "autonomy" in making this decision. Interesting: this principle does not apply to compulsory vaccinations. In Germany and Spain , too , people are on the way to legal assisted suicide assistance.
NL and Belgium: also for minors
In the Netherlands and Belgium this has been possible since 2002. Minors can also make use of this there. Active euthanasia has existed in Luxembourg since 2009. In Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland and Romania, it is a criminal offense, but there is a risk of five to eight years in prison. Active euthanasia is legal in Canada. In 2018, it accounted for around 1.12 percent of deaths in Canada. In the USA, medical suicide assistance has not yet been conclusively regulated at the federal level. They already exist in some states. Active euthanasia has been allowed in Colombia since 2014; it applies to people who have not undergone any therapy, which must be confirmed by a scientific committee. In New Zealand, suicide assistance has been allowed since October 2021, after two-thirds of the population voted in favor. It affects terminally ill people who would die within six months. You must be mentally and psychologically able to make this decision for yourself. (Lukrative Sterbehilfe: Australische Firma bietet „Suizid-Kapsel“.)
The company behind a 3D-printed pod which can help carry out assisted suicide has said it is confident it could be used in Switzerland as early as next year. \
Sarco commissioned a Swiss legal expert, who found that the machine did not break any laws in the country.
But other lawyers questioned his findings.
And assisted-suicide organisation Dignitas said it would be unlikely to meet "much acceptance".
Assisted suicide, in which somebody is given the means to end their own life, is legal in Switzerland. About 1,300 people died there in this way in 2020.
Both assisted suicide and euthanasia, in which a doctor ends the life of somebody who wants to die, are illegal in the UK.
Legal debate
The current method used in Switzerland is to provide the person with a series of liquids that, if ingested, will end the person's life.
By contrast, the pod - which can be placed anywhere - is flooded with nitrogen, reducing the oxygen levels rapidly.
The process would make the person inside lose consciousness and die in approximately 10 minutes.
The suicide pod is activated from the inside and also has an emergency button to exit.
Daniel Huerlimann, a legal expert and assistant professor at the University of St Gallen, was asked by Sarco to explore whether the use of the suicide pod would break any Swiss laws.
He told the BBC that his findings suggested the pod "did not constitute a medical device", so would not be covered by the Swiss Therapeutic Products Act.
He also believed it would not fall foul of laws governing the use of nitrogen, weapons or product safety.
"This means that the pod is not covered by Swiss law," he said.
But Kerstin Noelle Vkinger, a doctor, lawyer and professor at the University of Zurich, told Swiss newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung: "Medical devices are regulated because they are supposed to be safer than other products. Just because a product is not beneficial to health does not mean that it is not also affected by these additional safety requirements."
And Dignitas told the BBC: "For 35 years now, through the two Swiss Exit groups and for 23 years also with Dignitas, Switzerland has the practice of professional accompanied suicide with trained staff, in co-operation with physicians.
"In the light of this established, safe and professionally conducted/supported practice, we would not imagine that a technologised capsule for a self-determined end of life will meet much acceptance or interest in Switzerland."
Dr Death
If the machine gets the go-ahead for use in Switzerland, the pod will not be offered for sale in the conventional way.
Instead, the capsule's creator Dr Philip Nitschke, said he planned to make the blueprints available so anyone could download the design. This will be made available for free.
His aim is to "de-medicalise the dying process", he said in an interview published on the Exit International website, a voluntary assisted dying charity which he founded.
"We want to remove any kind of psychiatric review from the process and allow the individual to control the method themselves."
He has long campaigned for the right to die, earning him the nickname "Dr Death".
Currently there are two prototypes of the Sarco pod, with a third being printed in the Netherlands.
Dr Nitschke has previously faced criticism for the pod, with some saying that its futuristic design glamourises suicide. (Maker of suicide pod plans to launch in Switzerland.)
There seem to be an “e” and a “z” missing in Dr. Nitschke’s as self-annihilation was part of the nihilism of the infamous Friedrich Nietzsche, who believed that suicide made sense because human existence had no meaning. It is remarkable that anyone ever took Nietzsche seriously on a continent that had been defined for over a thousand years by belief in Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Sacred Deposit of Faith that He entrusted to His Catholic Church for infallible explication and eternal safekeeping. Suicide is a mockery of the Omnipotence of God and it is a rejection of the efficacy of His graces to triumph over spiritual and temporal adversities.
The Protestant Revolution and the subsequent rise of and triumph, however temporary, of Judeo-Masonry, however, led to people taking the likes Nietzsche seriously and, when combined with conciliarism’s “official reconciliation” to the errors of Modernity has led people into the inventing of “pods” to end their lives on their own terms rather than to accept whatever crosses Our Lord sends them as the means to add glory unto Him and to make reparation for their sins until the very people He calls them home unto Himself. Live is lived on God’s terms and the Fifth Commandment forbids not only the killing of innocent persons but also the killing of ourselves.
A Japanese martyr named Melchior Bugendono, was given the option of killing himself by cutting open his abdomen as is the pagan custom for those who commit suicide in Japan. He steadfastly refused and said that would not die as a “despairing Japanese. His heroic and glorious martyrdom was recounted by Saint Alphonsus de Ligouri in Victories of the Martyrs:
It was about this time that the crown of martyrdom was obtained by one of the most distinguished person ages in Japan, named Melchior Bugendono, a lord of Miri, a place of considerable importance in the kingdom of Aqui. He was a captain and a minister of very high merit in the service of King Amanguchi. He had openly professed the Christian religion for eighteen years, when the king, notwithstanding the high esteem in which he held him, wished him to venerate the gods of the country. The brave man, in answer to such a request, said that he was ready to give his life for the king, but that he could not renounce his faith.
The tyrant informed him that he would let him feel what it costs to despise his orders. Melchior well understood that he was threatened with death; but as he was desirous of laying down his life, he contented himself with asking the king that, as the latter was bent upon destroying him, he might have him dragged through the streets of the city preceded by a herald who would proclaim in a loud voice that his crime was that he was a Christian.
Had the tyrant only listened to what his anger dictated, he would have ordered him to be put to death on the spot; but being in doubt about the disposition of the emperor, he waited for a more favorable moment. Four years after, the occasion having presented itself, he sent a troop of a thousand soldiers with a bonze and an officer ordering Melchior to deliver up to them as hostages his son and his nephew. This was done in order to prevent any resistance to the execution of the sentence. The following day, August 16, 1605, two officers came and presented him with a warrant of his condemnation.
Melchior read it without the least emotion; he contented himself with saying that the only crime for which he was made to die was that he was a Christian. He could not receive permission to be dragged through the streets as he had requested. The executioners told him that as he wished to die he might die like a man of honor by cutting open his abdomen, as is the custom in Japan; the good nobleman, however, replied that he wished to die not as a despairing Japanese, but as a Christian, resigned to God s holy will. He then knelt down in his room before the images of Jesus and Mary, and while he was recommending himself to God, he was beheaded.
The news of what had taken place was carried at once to the tyrant, who not satisfied with the death of the father, ordered that his son, his nephews, as well as his wife, should also perish, and that their bodies should be burnt. He also had his son-in-law put to death, as he was a Christian, and more than a hundred domestics of the family. The Bishop of Japan having collected information about their martyrdom, transmitted it to Rome. (Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, Victories of the Martyrs, p. 339.)
The world is filled with tyrants who despair of a death caused by a virus and of the multitudes who despair of embracing whatever crosses God in His mercy and love asks them to bear for His sake and for the sake of their sanctification and salvation and prefer to kill themselves rather than to bear their crosses with love and gratitude.
Behold a world of fascism wherein the sane are deemed mentally ill and those who kill themselves are deemed heroic, a world that rejected the wise counsel provided by Pope Leo XIII one hundred twenty-one years ago:
From this it may clearly be seen what consequences are to be expected from that false pride which, rejecting our Saviour's Kingship, places man at the summit of all things and declares that human nature must rule supreme. And yet, this supreme rule can neither be attained nor even defined. The rule of Jesus Christ derives its form and its power from Divine Love: a holy and orderly charity is both its foundation and its crown. Its necessary consequences are the strict fulfilment of duty, respect of mutual rights, the estimation of the things of heaven above those of earth, the preference of the love of God to all things. But this supremacy of man, which openly rejects Christ, or at least ignores Him, is entirely founded upon selfishness, knowing neither charity nor selfdevotion. Man may indeed be king, through Jesus Christ: but only on condition that he first of all obey God, and diligently seek his rule of life in God's law. By the law of Christ we mean not only the natural precepts of morality and the Ancient Law, all of which Jesus Christ has perfected and crowned by His declaration, explanation and sanction; but also the rest of His doctrine and His own peculiar institutions. Of these the chief is His Church. Indeed whatsoever things Christ has instituted are most fully contained in His Church. Moreover, He willed to perpetuate the office assigned to Him by His Father by means of the ministry of the Church so gloriously founded by Himself. On the one hand He confided to her all the means of men's salvation, on the other He most solemnly commanded men to be subject to her and to obey her diligently, and to follow her even as Himself: "He that heareth you, heareth Me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth Me" (Luke x, 16). Wherefore the law of Christ must be sought in the Church. Christ is man's "Way"; the Church also is his "Way"-Christ of Himself and by His very nature, the Church by His commission and the communication of His power. Hence all who would find salvation apart from the Church, are led astray and strive in vain.
As with individuals, so with nations. These, too, must necessarily tend to ruin if they go astray from "The Way." The Son of God, the Creator and Redeemer of mankind, is King and Lord of the earth, and holds supreme dominion over men, both individually and collectively. "And He gave Him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes, and tongues shall serve Him" (Daniel vii., 14). "I am appointed King by Him . . . I will give Thee the Gentiles for Thy inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession" (Psalm ii., 6, 8). Therefore the law of Christ ought to prevail in human society and be the guide and teacher of public as well as of private life. Since this is so by divine decree, and no man may with impunity contravene it, it is an evil thing for the common weal wherever Christianity does not hold the place that belongs to it. When Jesus Christ is absent, human reason fails, being bereft of its chief protection and light, and the very end is lost sight of, for which, under God's providence, human society has been built up. This end is the obtaining by the members of society of natural good through the aid of civil unity, though always in harmony with the perfect and eternal good which is above nature. But when men's minds are clouded, both rulers and ruled go astray, for they have no safe line to follow nor end to aim at. (Pope Leo XIII, Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus, November 1, 1900.)
It is not for nothing that the great defender of the Social Reign of Christ the King, Louis Edouard “Cardinal” Pie, who was the Bishop of Poitiers, France from from May 23, 1849, to the time of his death on May 18, 1880, wrote the following about the American and Belgian systems as expressions of the Universal Israelite Alliance as found in a book on his works by Father Father Théotimede Saint Just and translated from the French into the English by Mr. Daniel Leonardi:
In fine, Cardinal Pie insists:
"Christianity would not be divine if it were to have existence within individuals but not with regard to societies."
Fr. de St. Just asks, in conclusion:
"Could it be proven in clearer terms that social atheism conduces to individualistic atheism?". . . .
"Neither in His Person," Card, Pie said in a celebrated pastoral instruction, "nor in the exercise of His rights, can Jesus Christ be divided, dissolved, split up; in Him the distinction of natures and operations can never be separated or opposed; the divine cannot be incompatible to the human, nor the human to the divine. On the contrary, it is the peace, the drawing together, the reconciliation; it is the very character of union which has made the two things one: 'He is our peace, Who hat made both one. . .' (Eph. 2:14). This is why St. John told us: 'every spirit that dissolveth Jesus is not of God. And this is Antichrist, of whom you have heard that he cometh: and is now already in the world' (1 John 4:3; cf. also 1 John 2:18, 22; 2 John: 7). "So then, Card. Pie continues, "when I hear certain talk being spread around, certain pithy statements (i.e., 'Separation of Church and State,' for one, and the enigmatic axiom 'A free Church in a free State,' for another) prevailing from day to day, and which are being introduced into the heart of societies, the dissolvent by which the world must perish, I utter this cry of alarm: Beware the Antichrist."
Fr. de St. Just adds:
"Accordingly, the Bishop of Poitiers had always fought against THE SEPARATION OF Church and State. Moreover, he opposed all separations, that of reason and faith, of nature and grace, of natural religion and revealed religion, the separation of the philosopher and the Christian, of private man and public man. He saw in all these [separations] a resurgence of Manichean dualism and he had fought all these with, the supreme argument, the law formed by Christ. Therefore, it is in all truth, writing to [Minister of the Interior] the Count of Presigny, that he could render this testimony:
'We have nothing in common with the theorists of disunion and opposition of two orders, temporal and spiritual, natural and supernatural. We struggle, on the contrary, with all our strength against these doctrines of separation which is leading to the denial of religion itself and of revealed religion.'"
Fr. de St. Just returns at this point and introduces us to what is perhaps Msgr. Pie's strongest language, with regard to this entire subject:
"To this doctrine of the Church, which Msgr. Pie brought to the mind of the rulers of nations, the liberals would oppose acts favoring separation.
"Certain countries, Belgium and America, for example, haven't they proclaimed the separation of Church and State, and doesn't the Church enjoy a more complete liberty under such a system?"
Cardinal Pie responded firmly to this question:
'THE AMERICAN AND BELGIUM SYSTEM, this system of philosophical-political indifference, shall eternally be a bastard system" (pp. 122-124 in Fr. de St. Just's book) (Selected Writings of Selected Writings of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers, Catholic Action Resource Center, Orlando, Florida, October, 2007, pp. 21-23.)
None other than Pope Saint Pius X used the writings of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers to help him explicate Catholic Social Teaching as a bishop in Mantua, Italy, and Venice, Italy, before he did so upon his elevation to the Throne of Saint Peter on August 3, 1903:
"[St.] Pius X, giving audience in the French seminary, declared to have 'often read and re-read' the works of Cardinal Pie . . . . This veneration of [St.] Pius X for the great Bishop of Poitiers is demonstrated for us by this account found in Canon [Paul] Vigue's 'Select Pages of Cardinal Pie': "A priest from Poitiers has recalled that one day he had the honor of having been introduced into the cabinet of the Supreme Pontiff, [St.] Pius X, in the company of a religious who was also from Poitiers. 'Oh! the diocese of Poitiers," the Holy Father exclaimed, raising his hands, when he heard the name Poitiers mentioned. "I have almost the entire works of your Cardinal,' the saintly Pontiff continued, 'and, for years, there has hardly been a day that I have not read some of its pages.' (Selected Writings of Selected Writings of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers, Catholic Action Resource Center, Orlando, Florida, October, 2007, testimonial pages.)
Our true popes have warned us of the dire consequences that would befall men if they and their nations endorsed the falsehoods of “liberty of conscience” and “religious liberty” (see the Appendix below).
Pope Leo XIII explained at the beginning of Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus that we had heard enough of the “rights of man”:
The world has heard enough of the so-called "rights of man." Let it hear something of the rights of God. That the time is suitable is proved by the very general revival of religious feeling already referred to, and especially that devotion towards Our Saviour of which there are so many indications, and which, please God, we shall hand on to the New Century as a pledge of happier times to come. But as this consummation cannot be hoped for except by the aid of divine grace, let us strive in prayer, with united heart and voice, to incline Almighty God unto mercy, that He would not suffer those to perish whom He had redeemed by His Blood. May He look down in mercy upon this world, which has indeed sinned much, but which has also suffered much in expiation! And, embracing in His loving-kindness all races and classes of mankind, may He remember His own words: "I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to Myself" (John xii., 32). (Pope Leo XIII, Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus, November 1, 1900.)
Pope Leo XIII also warned us to judge the Masonic tree by its fruit:
Would that all men would judge of the tree by its fruit, and would acknowledge the seed and origin of the evils which press upon us, and of the dangers that are impending! We have to deal with a deceitful and crafty enemy, who, gratifying the ears of people and of princes, has ensnared them by smooth speeches and by adulation. Ingratiating themselves with rulers under a pretense of friendship, the Freemasons have endeavored to make them their allies and powerful helpers for the destruction of the Christian name; and that they might more strongly urge them on, they have, with determined calumny, accused the Church of invidiously contending with rulers in matters that affect their authority and sovereign power. Having, by these artifices, insured their own safety and audacity, they have begun to exercise great weight in the government of States: but nevertheless they are prepared to shake the foundations of empires, to harass the rulers of the State, to accuse, and to cast them out, as often as they appear to govern otherwise than they themselves could have wished. In like manner, they have by flattery deluded the people. Proclaiming with a loud voice liberty and public prosperity, and saying that it was owing to the Church and to sovereigns that the multitude were not drawn out of their unjust servitude and poverty, they have imposed upon the people, and, exciting them by a thirst for novelty, they have urged them to assail both the Church and the civil power. Nevertheless, the expectation of the benefits which was hoped for is greater than the reality; indeed, the common people, more oppressed than they were before, are deprived in their misery of that solace which, if things had been arranged in a Christian manner, they would have had with ease and in abundance. But, whoever strive against the order which Divine Providence has constituted pay usually the penalty of their pride, and meet with affliction and misery where they rashly hoped to find all things prosperous and in conformity with their desires. (Pope Leo XIII, Humanum Genus, April 20, 1884.)
"Modern" man has indeed striven against the order which Divine Providence has constituted. The Modernists of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have made their "reconciliation" with the rebellion against the Divine Plan, scoffing at the mention of the Social Reign of Christ the King as “obsolete” while endorsing falsehoods such as “religious liberty” and “separation of Church and State” that have been rejected by true pope after true pope.
We are seeing the ultimate consequences of these falsehoods with our very own eyes, and we should take heed to recognize this chastisement for what it is and to rejoice that God Himself has chosen us, despite our own sins and unworthiness, to be alive in these perilous times to suffer bravely as the consecrated slaves of His Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits.
Those who stand up against statism are mentally ill. So are those who stand up in defense of the immutable teaching of the Holy Faith by opposing with vigor the errors of conciliarism.
Nations must return to the superstitions of paganism and the murderous, satanic practices of barbarism when men lose the Catholic Faith en masse as happened during over the course of time following the Protestant Revolution. The formerly Catholic nations of Europe have returned to paganism and the ravages of barbarism as a result of the greatest chastisement that God has visited upon men in the history of salvation: a nearly universal interdict upon most Catholics alive in the world today, admitting that there are true priests in the conciliar structures who may be offering the modernized version of Immemorial Mass of Tradition and that most Eastern rite bishops and priests are valid.
This concession notwithstanding, however, the fact that is most Catholics alive today do not have access to true bishops or priests and thus of the true Sacraments. We are indeed being punished for our sins, and far, far worse chastisements than we have seen thus far will be made manifest in the years ahead.
May we call upon Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament to intercede with her Divine Son, Our Eucharistic King, to help us remain steadfast in our march towards eternity by making reparation for our own sins as His consecrated slaves through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, especially by praying as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits.
