Bowing Down to False Gods, Reaffmring Men In Their Sins

Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro’s recent forays into the realms of false religions and false ecumenism show that the diabolical spirit of Modernity and the equally diabolical spirit of Modernism are one and the same. The reigning American caesar, who believes himself to be above the laws of God and men (as does his most likely successor, former First Lady/United States Senator/Secretary of State Hillary Diane (“What Whitewater? What Chinagate? What Benghazi scandal? I can under fire in Bosnia. What e-mail problem”) Clinton, mouths the same kind of blasphemous errors as does the currently presiding universal public face of apostasy who resides at the Casa Santa Marta inside the walls of the Occupied Vatican on the West Bank of the Tiber River, Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

Anyone reading the texts of Obama/Soetoro’s addresses to Mohammedans at the Islamic Center of Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday February 3, 2016, the Feast of Saint Blase, and at the so-called “National Prayer Breakfast” on Thursday, February 4, 2016, the Feast of Saint Andrew Corsini, without knowing who gave them could be excused for believing that either or both speeches had been given by the Argentine Apostate himself. As has been noted on this site so many hundreds of times in the past, this is no accident at all as the anti-Incarnational, naturalistic Judeo-Masonic spirit of Modernity helped to foster nascent Modernism in the Nineteenth Century and its fully grown offspring by the time of Pope Saint Pius X when he ascended to the Throne of Saint Peter on August 4, 1903, the Feast of Saint Dominic de Guzman. Indeed, Obama/Soetoro is just as much the ultimate end product of Americanism as Bergoglio is the ultimate end product of Modernism. This is why they sound so much like, although it can be argued that Obama/Soetoro, who is not a baptized Catholic, is actually more restrained in his public utterances than the crude, vulgar and profane Argentine “pope,” and that is quite a statement.

None of this should come as any surprise whatsoever as the adversary has worked overtime, knowing that his time is short, to convince men that they can live quite nicely without any public references to the Holy Name of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to say nothing of His Social Kingship over men and their nations, and without any need for the teaching offices and sanctifying helps found only in His Holy Catholic Church.

Indeed, one of the reasons that the founding of the United States of America has been celebrated by the likes of an endless array of Talmudists (Leo Strauss, the agnostic, Daniel Elazar, Morton Grodzins, Martin Diamond, Irving Kristol, et al.) is that it leaves no place whatsoever for any public honor—or even any reference made—to Christ the King and His true Church, a point that I made in article just about six years ago, Not A Mention of Christ the King. It matters not to Talmudists that Obama/Soetoro goes to a mosque as to exalt any religion other than Catholicism serves their purposes very nicely. There is room for every “religion” except the true one in the world of Modernity, just as there is room for every “religion” except the true one in the mind of Jorge Mario Bergoglio and the in the doctrines of the false religion he propagates with great zeal while castigating those who, among a wide array of invectives, are said to “cage” or to “tame” the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost.

It is thus necessary to reiterate a simple point that was made with such great eloquence by Pope Leo XIII in Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885:

To hold, therefore, that there is no difference in matters of religion between forms that are unlike each other, and even contrary to each other, most clearly leads in the end to the rejection of all religion in both theory and practice. And this is the same thing as atheism, however it may differ from it in name. Men who really believe in the existence of God must, in order to be consistent with themselves and to avoid absurd conclusions, understand that differing modes of divine worship involving dissimilarity and conflict even on most important points cannot all be equally probable, equally good, and equally acceptable to God. (Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885.)

That is, no matter the impossibility of having created a Catholic state in 1776 and 1787, the fact remains that the premise of a religious neutral civil state is false in and of itself and leads inevitably to the triumph of practical atheism over the course of time. Superstition and myth must take the place of the true religion in the lives of men and their nations when the true religion instituted by Christ the King Himself is ignored and despised as belonging to the age of the Crusades, which produced such great and valorous Catholic heroes who fought against the rutheless Mohammedans, and “The Inquisition,” whose "abuses" Obama/Soetoro condemned at the 2015 version of the "National Prayer Breakfast. (These events are as predictable in their content as the annual "Happy Diwali," Happy Vesakh, "Happy Ramadan," Happy Yom Kippur" messages from the conciliar authorities. See Happy Vesakh, No, I Mean, Happy Diwali, Wait, Wait, Wait, Is It Ramadan Time Now?--Oops, Let's Try Again, Ah, Yes, Happy High Holy Days, Right? and Have a Happy.) Ignorance and absurdity must replace both supernatural and natural truth when men and their nations refuse to submit to the teaching authority and sanctifying offices of the Catholic Church.

We are simply witnessing the complete perfection of the inherent degeneracy of the founding principles in the person of Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro just as surely as we are witnessing the inherent degeneracy of the “doctrines” and liturgical “renewal” and pastoral praxes of the counterfeit church of conciliarism in the person of Jorge Mario Bergoglio. It is impossible to restore “order” on the basis of some compromise with error and falsehood.

Indeed, as Pope Leo XIII noted in A Review of His Pontificate, March 19, 1902, the Catholic Church makes not terms with error at any time:

Just as Christianity cannot penetrate into the soul without making it better, so it cannot enter into public life without establishing order. With the idea of a God Who governs all, Who is infinitely Wise, Good, and Just, the idea of duty seizes upon the consciences of men. It assuages sorrow, it calms hatred, it engenders heroes. If it has transformed pagan society--and that transformation was a veritable resurrection--for barbarism disappeared in proportion as Christianity extended its sway, so, after the terrible shocks which unbelief has given to the world in our days, it will be able to put that world again on the true road, and bring back to order the States and peoples of modern times. But the return of Christianity will not be efficacious and complete if it does not restore the world to a sincere love of the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. In the Catholic Church Christianity is Incarnate. It identifies Itself with that perfect, spiritual, and, in its own order, sovereign society, which is the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ and which has for Its visible head the Roman Pontiff, successor of the Prince of the Apostles. It is the continuation of the mission of the Savior, the daughter and the heiress of His Redemption. It has preached the Gospel, and has defended it at the price of Its blood, and strong in the Divine assistance and of that immortality which has been promised it, It makes no terms with error but remains faithful to the commands which  it has received, to carry the doctrine of Jesus Christ to the uttermost limits of the world and to the end of time, and to protect it in its inviolable integrity. Legitimate dispenser of the teachings of the Gospel it does not reveal itself only as the consoler and Redeemer of souls, but It is still more the internal source of justice and charity, and the propagator as well as the guardian of true liberty, and of that equality which alone is possible here below. In applying the doctrine of its Divine Founder, It maintains a wise equilibrium and marks the true limits between the rights and privileges of society. The equality which it proclaims does not destroy the distinction between the different social classes. It keeps them intact, as nature itself demands, in order to oppose the anarchy of reason emancipated from Faith, and abandoned to its own devices. The liberty which it gives in no wise conflicts with the rights of truth, because those rights are superior to the demands of liberty. Not does it infringe upon the rights of justice, because those rights are superior to the claims of mere numbers or power. Nor does it assail the rights of God because they are superior to the rights of humanity. (Pope Leo XIII, A Review of His Pontificate, March 19, 1902.)

Why is this so difficult to grasp and to accept?

Additionally, both the lords of Modernity, symbolized so perfectly by Obama/Soetoro, and the lords of Modernism, whose chief at present is Jorge Mario Bergoglio, celebrate sin, whether in the name of “liberty” or, in the case of Bergoglio, “mercy.”

Holy Mother Church exhorts her children to quit their sins and to make a good and integral confession of them to a true priest. She does not reaffirm her children in their sins or protest that it would not be “merciful” to exhort hardened sinners to change their lives lest they perish in eternal hellfire after their deaths.

For example, several prayers to the Twelve Holy Founders of the Order of the Servites contained in the Septenary to them prior to their feast, which is six days from now, that began yesterday, February 5, 2016, the Feast of Saint Agatha, discuss how the Twelve Holy Founders sough to eradicate sin from the lives of those steeped in it by compassion for the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary:

TO THE SEVEN HOLY FOUNDERS

O MOST glorious Patriarchs, who by your sublime sanctity became worthy to be chosen by the Mother of God herself to propagate the devotion to her Dolors; at her bidding you separated from the world and, hidden in the caves of the Mount Senario, chastised your bodies with unheard-of penances, and fed your spirit whit the continual contemplation of the great mysteries of the faith, thus preparing, without knowing for the mission which was afterwards entrusted to you and your Order, namely, to eradicate sin and iniquity from the hearts of men through compassion for the Dolors of the blessed Virgin Mary; then, bearing the Passion of Jesus and the sufferings of His Mother deeply engrave in your hearts, you strove everywhere to quell civil feuds, move sinners to repentance, and bring back heretics to the obedience of the Roman Pontiff.

Deign, O glorious Saints, now that you are reigning in heaven with Christ, deign from the thrones of your glory, to look down upon us, unfortunate pilgrims, who have still to fight in this land of trial and combat. The devil with his suggestions, the world with its deceits, the flesh with its concupiscence, as so many roaring lions, are ever seeking to devour us.

Have then compassion on us, and pour down into our hearts a portion at least of that tender devotion to the Dolors of Mary with which you were constantly penetrated, that the sight of our Mother, so afflicted may enable us resist the seductions of sin, and preserve us from renewing by our sins of Passion of our divine Redeemer and her own Sorrows.

Obtain for us, we beseech you, O powerful Protectors, docility and promptitude to answer the calls of God, detachment from the fallacious goods of this world, a true spirit of mortification and penance, that following on earth your examples of perfection and sanctity, we may deserve to be with you in heaven, to praise for ever the tender mercies of our crucified Redeemer and exalt the glory of the Queen of Martyrs.  Amen.

Another Prayer

O GLORIOUS Servants of Mary, beloved sons of the most holy Virgin, seven brilliant stars of her sacred Order, you so pleased her in your youth by your filial devotion, that, showing herself in her glory, she called upon you to leave the world and to dedicate yourselves to God and her special service; and not content with this favor, she showed you her tender love by continual wonders, now causing little infants to give you that this beautiful name of Servants of Mary, now showing you to her great servants, Saint Peter Martyr, under the figure of seven lilies as white as snow and exquisite fragrance, now giving you that wonderful picture of her Annunciation, which even to our days has worked so many miracles, but, above all, enduing you with her own garb of mourning, and entrusting to you the touching mission of propagating everywhere compassion for her Dolors and hatred of sin.

Deign, I beseech you, admirable models of devotion to Mary, deign to use great power with her, and obtain for me, through her intercession, all the graces where of I stand in need. Especially obtain for me an intense hatred of sin, together with the heartfelt sorrow for those I have ever committed, and the most tender love for my crucified Savior and His sorrowful Mother.

Pray to her that during my life my soul may always be pure and spotless as a white lily of sweet fragrance, and that in my last hour I may, like you, be comforted by sweet presence, and die a death precious on the sight of the Lord.  Amen. Please do pray for the Sentman and Gauvin families who took the initiative to have this great spiritual treasure republished.)

Neither the socialist Obama/Soetoro nor the socialist Bergoglio have any kind of hatred for personal sin, believing that the only kinds of “sins” that exist are those that do not permit “open borders,” deny “climate change” and oppose statist schemes of income redistribution in the name of “solving” poverty. This is, of course, of displaced guilt as one of the greatest refuges of those steeped in their own sins and who celebrate it in the lives of others is to contend that “morality” is to found in actions that deify nature and empower the civil state in the midst of wanton barbarism, which is civil and religious leaders alike bown down to false gods and reaffirm men in their sins.

In contrast to the lords of Modernity and Modernism, Saint Titus, whose feast we celebrate today, Saturday, February 6, 2016, spent his entire life to bring souls into the true Church to serve the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, after having been chosen for this work by none other than Saint Paul the Apostle himself:

The Apostle Paul had no sooner by his preaching gathered the Cretans to the Sacraments and doctrines of the Christian Faith, than he made Titus their Bishop. It is agreed that the holiness of Titus shone with so bright a light before the infant Church, that he earned fellowship with the disciples of the Teacher of the Gentiles. Being taken to share in the work of preaching, he so endeared himself to Paul by his faithfulness and zeal in declaring the Gospel, that the Apostle saith When I came to Troas to preach Christ's Gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. 2 Cor. ii. 12, 13. And again he saith: When we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Nevertheless, God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus. vii. 5, 6.

It was this affection of Paul toward Titus, which had induced him to send him to Corinth upon a Mission which mainly concerned the collection of alms from the charity of the faithful for the relief of the poor Hebrew Saints at Jerusalem. This mission Titus discharged with such wisdom and gentleness, that he not only strengthened the Corinthians in the faith, but also stirred up in them an earnest desire, a mourning, a fervent mind toward Paul, their earliest teacher. vii. 7. Many were the other journeys by land and sea which Titus undertook in order to sow the seed of God's word among men of divers nations, tongues, and countries. Filled with bold loyalty to the banner of the Cross, he went with Paul to the island of Crete. Of the Church of Crete the Apostle himself made him the first Bishop; and we may not doubt that, as such, he was what his Teacher bade him be, in all things showing himself a pattern of good works, in doctrine, in uncorruptness, in gravity. (Tit 2:7)

Like a candle, he gave forth the light of faith in the midst of men sitting in the darkness of idolatry and falsehood, as in the shadow of death. He is said to have sweated mightily to unfurl the banner of the Cross among the Dalmatians. He was full of days and good works, when, upon a 4th of January, in the 94th year of his age, he died one of those deaths which are precious in the sight of the Lord. He was buried in the Church of which the Apostle had made him the minister. His praises have been mostly written by St John Chrysostom and St Jerome. The 4th of January is the day upon which his name is read in the Roman Martyrology, but Pope Pius IX. assigned for his Festival, to be kept with an Office and Mass by the clergy secular and regular throughout the Catholic world, the first free day  (Matins, The Divine Office, Feast of Saint Titus.)

Saint Dorothy, who is commemorated in the liturgy today, did die a martyr’s death as she steadfastly refused the entreaties of her own sisters to deny the Holy Faith:

The maiden Dorothy, of Caesarea in Cappadocia, was betrayed to Apricius the President by her two sisters, Chrysta and Callista, who had denied the faith, in the hope that he would induce her to do likewise. She was arrested, but it came not to pass as they hoped. On the contrary, she brought them back to the Christian worship, and they received martyrdom. She was long tormented upon the rack, and scourged with palm branches, and in the end was beheaded, receiving the double palm of virginity and martyrdom. (Matins, The Divine Office, February 5.)

What is our excuse for knuckling under so willing to the pressures brought upon us by family members, relatives and friends for refusing to have any association with those who bow down and pay homage to false gods while reaffirming hardened sinners in their lives that are so displeasing to God and injurious to their own temporal good and eternal salvation?

Today is also the First Saturday of the month of February.

We must fulfill Our Lady's Fatima Message in our own lives, praying our Rosaries and meditating upon the mysteries contained therein before her Divine Son's Real Presence. Our task is to do nothing less than to plant at least a few seeds for the restoration of the Catholic City, as Pope Saint Pius X exhorted us to do in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910:

This, nevertheless, is what they want to do with human society; they dream of changing its natural and traditional foundations; they dream of a Future City built on different principles, and they dare to proclaim these more fruitful and more beneficial than the principles upon which the present Christian City rests.

No, Venerable Brethren, We must repeat with the utmost energy in these times of social and intellectual anarchy when everyone takes it upon himself to teach as a teacher and lawmaker - the City cannot be built otherwise than as God has built it; society cannot be setup unless the Church lays the foundations and supervises the work; no, civilization is not something yet to be found, nor is the New City to be built on hazy notions; it has been in existence and still is: it is Christian civilization, it is the Catholic City. It has only to be set up and restored continually against the unremitting attacks of insane dreamers, rebels and miscreants. omnia instaurare in Christo. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

Starting with the enthronement of our homes to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, making sure to pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through that same Immaculate Heart, keeping close to our own Guardian Angels and to Saint Michael the Archangel, may we plant a few seeds for a day when the forces of darkness will be vanquished and the bright light of Our King and the loving radiance of His Most Blessed Mother will have replaced all forms of naturalism, whether of the false opposites of the naturalist "left" or of the naturalist "right," with Catholicism as the one and only foundation of personal and social order.
