More Immoral Promises Kept
The immoral practice of in vitro fertilization, which denies the Sovereignty of God over the sanctity and fecundity of Holy Matrimony by making a mockery of the way in which He has ordained His rational creatures to bring forth new life to give Him honor and glory here on earth and to populate Heaven for all eternity, has been much in the news since the Supreme Court of the State of Alabama ruled on Friday, February 16, 2024, that human embryos fertilized in a petri dish are indeed human beings. This very correct ruling prompted condemnations from members of both organized crime families of the false opposite of naturalism, and it was one of the few times that the decrepit, morally decadent, and intellectually bankrupt serial plagiarist and pathological liar named Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., and then former President Donald John Trump were in agreement on a court decision.
It was then and there that the then former president took a stand that defined his so-called "pro-life" position from that that day forward, heedless of the fact that millions of embryonic human beings are destroyed each year in the monstrous process to create human life artificially, and it was just a week ago, that is, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, the Feast of Saint Hedwig and, in some places, the Feast of the Purity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that President Donald John Trump announced an agreement to expand insurance coverage for in vitro fertilization as well as for lower prices for fertility drugs associated with in vitro fertilization:
President Donald Trump on Thursday announced two policy changes aimed at making in vitro fertilization more affordable — a long-awaited follow-up to his pledges to require health insurers to cover IVF services and to an executive order aimed at lowering the cost of fertility treatments.
However, the announcement was not a new rule that insurers must cover IVF. Rather, the Trump administration said that the White House has negotiated with two specialty pharmacies and a drug manufacturer to lower the cost of a commonly prescribed fertility drug that stimulates the ovaries to produce eggs.
Additionally, the administration announced forthcoming guidance from the Labor, Treasury, and Health and Human Services departments that will help employers offer fertility benefits outside of major medical health insurance plans, the same way they offer dental, vision or life insurance.
“We want to make it easier for all couples to have babies, raise children and start the families they have always dreamed about,” Trump said at a briefing in the Oval Office.
The bulk of Thursday’s announcement focused on discounted fertility medications from drugmaker EMD Serono, which is part of the pharmaceutical giant Merck. The company said it would make its IVF drugs available at a lower cost through TrumpRx, a direct-to-consumer website operated by the federal government, starting in early 2026.
Most IVF patients in the U.S. pay out of pocket for treatment, according to KFF, a nonprofit research group.
“We are proud to announce that Americans will have access to our leading IVF therapies for an 84% discount off list prices,” Libby Horne, head of U.S. fertility at EMD Serono, said.
The company said Thursday in an online statement about the new agreement that its pharmaceutical products will be excluded from industry-specific tariffs, provided it invests in manufacturing and research in the U.S.
Among the discounted drugs is a commonly used medication called Gonal-f, which some IVF patients take in the form of daily injections for roughly one or two weeks.
Senior administration officials said the specialty pharmacies involved in the deal, CVS Specialty and Express Scripts’ Freedom Fertility — which they estimated account for more than 80% of the distribution of Gonal-f — agreed to reduce their expenses associated with the drug’s handling.
“Upwards of 40% of the cost of IVF comes from the specialty drugs used for this treatment. Reducing these costs can have a significant impact on affordability and access,” Dr. Roger Shedlin, CEO of the fertility benefits company WIN, said in a statement.
Dr. Kaylen Silverberg, a fertility specialist and advisory board chair for the advocacy group Americans for IVF, said some of his patients have spent upwards of $17,000 out of pocket on fertility drugs.
“This is the first administration in 20 years that’s even wanted to talk about this,” he said, adding: "We turned on the president’s news conference in my office today when he was making this announcement, and I had people standing there crying because they are so happy.”
Trump’s announcement came after months of relative silence from the White House on which policies it was considering to expand IVF access. The executive order he issued in February had called for recommendations for “protecting IVF access and aggressively reducing out-of-pocket and health plan costs for IVF treatment.” Trump received a list of those recommendations in May.
The new deal is part of Trump’s broader effort to bring the cost of prescription drugs in the U.S. more in line with the lowest prices charged in other wealthy countries — what’s known as the “most favored nation” pricing model.
The White House has not yet negotiated lower prices on IVF drugs from other manufacturers.
Sean Tipton, chief advocacy and policy officer at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, which represents IVF providers, called the announcement a “crucial first step,” but said it still doesn’t go far enough to boost affordability.
“One executive action cannot, on its own, ensure that every patient who needs IVF — which for some represents the only option to have a child — can access it,” he said.
For now, senior administration officials said, medications made by EMD Serono will be discounted on TrumpRx at varying levels depending on a buyer’s income. Patients earning below 550% of the federal poverty level will be eligible for the more significant discount, the officials said.
Trump campaigned last year on expanding IVF access, referring to himself at the time as the “father of IVF.” However, some conservatives and anti-abortion groups see IVF as unethical because the process often involves discarding embryos that have genetic issues or aren’t needed. The Washington Post reported in August that the administration had veered away from the idea of an IVF coverage requirement for health insurers.
EMD Serono is seeking approval from the Food and Drug Administration for another fertility drug, Pergoveris, which is approved in Europe but not the U.S. Administration officials said on Thursday the FDA intends to give that application priority review status, which would expedite the process. (Trump announces plan to lower the cost of a common IVF drug.)
TAKING NOVEL ACTION TO UNLEASH INNOVATION AND EXPAND COVERAGE: Additionally, President Trump announced the creation of a New Benefit Option for fertility benefits. Under this option, employers will have a new legal pathway to offer fertility benefits directly to employees, like they do for dental, vision, and life insurance, representing a massive opportunity to expand access to IVF coverage.
- The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Treasury announced today that employers can now offer standalone benefit packages to employees interested in coverage for treatment of infertility, including IVF.
- The Departments also announced their intent to undertake rulemaking to continue to further expand the ability of employers to offer fertility benefits to their employees.
- These benefit packages can address the continuum of fertility-related services, from those that address the root causes of infertility to IVF.
- This new benefit option has the potential to help more families have healthy babies. Fertility benefit companies poised to offer such benefit packages report nearly 25% higher live birth rates among women using these benefits than those seeking care without such benefits.
- This solution addresses the sparse coverage of fertility for hard-working American families and increases options for small- and medium-size employers to offer fertility benefits. Despite most people in their reproductive age receiving health coverage through their job, most employer coverage does not include fertility medications, IVF, or non-IVF treatments.
- 42% of employers offer coverage of fertility services.
- 32% offer coverage of fertility medications.
- 32% offer coverage of IVF; and even less (19%) offer coverage of non-IVF treatments. Notably, 70% of large employers offer IVF coverage.
- DELIVERING ON PROMISES FOR AMERICAN FAMILIES: President Trump promised to increase access to IVF and lower the associated costs so American families can have more babies, building on his record of supporting family formation and stability.
- As many as one in eight couples trying to have a baby are unable to conceive, and many face significant financial hurdles to accessing IVF. The cost can range from $12,000 to $25,000 per cycle and multiple cycles may be needed to get pregnant.
- The solutions to lower costs and expand access to IVF and high-quality fertility care will result in more healthy pregnancies and healthy babies at a time when U.S. fertility is at a historic low.
- President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts established Trump Accounts, providing newborns with a $1,000 investment to help secure the financial future for every American child from birth.
- The Working Families Tax Cuts also expanded and made permanent the increases in the Child Tax Credit that the President championed in his first term, supporting over 40 million families.
- President Trump has long advocated for more babies and expanding American families: “Because we want more babies, to put it very nicely. And for this same reason, we will also allow new parents to deduct major newborn expenses from their taxes, so that parents that have a beautiful baby will be able, so we’re pro family. But the IVF treatments are expensive. It’s very hard for many people to do it and to get it, but I’ve been in favor of IVF, right from the beginning.” (Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Announces Actions to Lower Costs and Expand Access to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and High-Quality Fertility Care – The White House.)
Yes, President Donald John Trump has been in favor of the immoral baby-killing in vitro fertilization procedure “right from the beginning” and, despite “good intentions” and receiving praise from United States Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr., for “doing God’s work here [with IVF—see Secretary Kennedy on X: "Earlier this week President Trump mused that he didn’t believe he’d get into heaven — but the truth is he’s doing God’s work here. Infertility is increasing in America, and the @POTUS MAHA Agenda is addressing the root causes. Today, through President Trump’s leadership, we’re https://t.co/bYHN2QPffT" / X],” supporting in vitro fertilization is not a path to Heaven. Indeed, as in vitro fertilization is a rejection of the sovereignty of God over the continuation of the human species, it has come from hell and will lead its supporters there as the artificial creation of children is just as evil as the artificial prevention of the conception of children.
No one has a right to a child as they are gifts of God to be welcomed with generosity according to the means He has given them to continue the species. The conception of children is not to be prevented, and those who cannot have children are called to accept their cross with equanimity while considering the adoption of children and/or to seek the advice of a believing Catholic obstetrician/gynecologist in an effort to determine whether a case of infertility is medically or surgically remediable.
One can pray for the gift of children, but one can never take matters into their own hands by having recourse to monsters who make billions of dollars by defying God in the creation of human life artificially.
The Protestant Revolution’s overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King let loose the forces of anti-Incarnational forces of naturalism upon the world that gave us, in successive turn, divorce, contraception, abortion, the promotion of sodomite and its ever-increasing spectrum of perverse vices, in vitro fertilization, “brain death”/vital organ vivisection and transplantation, the starvation and dehydration of innocent human beings, “palliative care”/hospice, legally sanctioned infanticide, euthanasia, suicide and doctor-assisted suicide and, of course, the curse of human fetal stem-cell research that has spawned the cottage industry of mad scientists who believe that there are no God-given limits on their work and that they will never have to answer to God, in whom most do not believe, for daring to mock His omnipotence.
The downward spiral, though, was over four centuries in the making, longer yet if one considers how certain elements of the Renaissance helped to undermine the integrity of Faith and Morals in various intellectual and artistic circles in the century before the rise of Martin Luther, but we are seeing the tragic consequences of this spiral into the abyss right before our very eyes.
Contraception, of course, resulted in widespread adultery, divorces, broken families, the feminization of poverty and, ultimately, the “legalization” of surgical abortion up to and including the day of birth. This denial of the Sovereignty of God over the sanctity and fecundity of marriage has produced a mentality of selfishness between spouses, most of whom view children as something to be “planned” or “wanted” and not the first end of their married lives. The belief that one can “plan” to have children was followed by the belief that married couples have a “right” to have a child if a wife (or the husband) is infertile. Those who do not accept that it is part of God’s Holy Providence for men and women to join together in Holy Matrimony to welcome as many or as few children as He sees fit to send them will not accept His Holy Will if they are incapable of having children.
Remember, to call to mind the words of the founder of Human Life International and the Population Research Institute, “most contraceptives abort, and most contraceptives abort most of the time.” And many of course, are mortal threats to the health of women including being fatal to preborn children:
Women who use Depo-Provera face a higher risk of developing a slow-growing brain tumor, according to a new study that comes as the contraceptive’s maker, Pfizer, faces hundreds of lawsuits claiming that it was aware of the potential risks.
Depo-Provera — the brand name for depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) — contains the synthetic progestin hormone, which stops the ovaries from releasing an egg to prevent pregnancy.
The injections, used by roughly 1 in 4 sexually active US women at some point, last about three months.
For the new study, researchers examined over 61 million female patient records, finding that women who used DMPA had a twofold higher risk of getting diagnosed with meningioma compared to women not on hormonal birth control.
Meningioma is typically benign, but the tumors can cause problems by putting pressure on nerves or brain structures. The disease affects women more frequently than men, likely due to the influence of female hormones that can fuel tumor growth.
The researchers, from the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University, found the greatest meningioma risk in women who started DMPA after the age of 31 or those who used it for four-plus years.
“In this study, women receiving [DMPA] had a greater relative risk of subsequent meningioma diagnosis, especially with prolonged exposures and starting the medication at older ages,” the study authors wrote in JAMA Neurology.
The research was observational, meaning it didn’t provide proof that DMPA causes meningioma.
Medroxyprogesterone acetate was initially synthesized in 1954 to treat endometriosis, uterine fibroids and other gynecological conditions.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rejected Depo-Provera for contraceptive use for many years due to worries about cancer risks before finally approving it in 1992, following additional studies and after it had been used as a contraceptive in other countries.
The concerns didn’t stop there. A “black box” warning was added in 2004 to its label, alerting users that it could lead to significant bone mineral density loss, particularly with long-term use.
Then last year, a French study published in The BMJ found that women who used Depo-Provera for over a year had a 5.6 times greater risk of developing a meningioma.
Now, Pfizer is facing over 1,200 federal lawsuits related to Depo-Provera, with women alleging that the pharmaceutical giant failed to warn them about the meningioma risk.
One Louisiana plaintiff, Robin Phillip, said she developed an intracranial meningioma that caused her to lose vision in her left eye and struggle to walk.
“These women all have meningiomas. Many have surgery, some have radiation, and they’ve all had their lives greatly impacted,” Ellen Relkin, a lawyer representing Phillip and other plaintiffs, told NBC News.
Phillip’s lawsuit claims that there are studies dating back to 1983 linking progesterone and meningioma, NBC News reported, so Pfizer should have studied Depo-Provera risks sooner.
A Pfizer rep told The Post that “these claims are without merit and will vigorously defend against these allegations.”
Pfizer filed a motion in August to dismiss litigation, citing its 2023 discovery of a potential link between Depo-Provera and meningioma, NBC News reported.
The company said it had asked the FDA to update the label with a warning, but the agency denied the request because the available studies didn’t support the warning.
Pfizer told The Post that it “stands behind the safety and efficacy of Depo-Provera, which has been used by millions of women worldwide and remains an important treatment option for women seeking to manage their reproductive health.”

Sure, just like Pfizer stands by the “safety and efficacy” of its Wuhan Virus poisoned jabs made in association with Bio n Tech that have killed and injured so many people in the past nearly five years.
That which is manufactured to facilitate a defiance of the eternal laws of God are, in se, dangerous to one’s bodily health as it is fatal to their spiritual health.
There is a long history of infertile couples over the centuries who have chosen to adopt children. Some of these couples continue to do so quite generously in our day. The logic of contraception is such, however, that the desires of the couple, whether married or not these days, are the sole determinant of how many children to have and what to do if even morally acceptable surgical remedies are incapable of rendering an infertile man or woman fertile.
It is this narcissistic and sentimentally-driven belief that led certain scientists who have no regard for the laws of God to create a “market” for the infertile by means of in vitro fertilization. This immoral process of creating a human being outside of the laws ordained by God was based on the expectation that untold thousands of fertilized human embryos, who are human beings, will die before being implanted within a woman’s uterus. Perhaps it should be noted that it came to pass that artificially fertilized human beings were implanted in the wombs of “surrogate” mothers. A very profitable money-making industry was created to cater to human sentiment in an era when people are indifferent to, ignorant or just plain hostile to the laws ordained by God.
The courageous Mrs. Joan Andrews Bell, who has been engaged in peaceful, non-violent efforts to save children in the baby mills themselves since the late-1970s and was pardoned by President Trump on Thursday, January 23, 2025, after she had been sentenced to Federal prison for twenty-seven months for the "crime" participating in a rescue at a notorious late-term baby butchery mill in Washington, District of Columbia, summarized the immorality of in vitro fertilization very eloquently in a letter she wrote in early 2024 to United States Senators Raphael Edward Cruz (R-Texas) and Katie Elizabeth Boyd Britt (R-Alabama) after the two senators had introduced legislation to declare that in vitro fertilization is a "right":
Dear Senators Cruz & Britt,
How devastatingly heartbreaking it is to hear that you are promoting the protection of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and declaring that this protects life. IVF in fact does the opposite. It promotes the worst death of all for children.
You must know that IVF also abuses women, especially poor women. I know: I’m in jail with some of them.
Medical doctors have taken the forbidden fruit of human conception out of the marriage bond and brought horrible consequences upon us.
IVF is anything but a life-giving alternative for couples experiencing infertility. Those doctors who reap incredible sums of money from desperate couples help conceive many more children in petri dishes than they know will ever be implanted in the womb. Most of those children will knowingly be discarded – killed – or frozen indefinitely or experimented upon like animals.
Most of those children will knowingly be discarded – killed – or frozen indefinitely or experimented upon like animals.
Women I am with now in prison have often talked about becoming surrogates for the money. My pro-life friends and I explained that IVF is not only unhealthy, but immoral, as any Christian should know. God ordained from the beginning that a man and a woman should come together as one to bear children. Nothing can separate this truth. They readily came to understand this is not good.
Another evil of IVF is that sometimes multiple children are implanted into the womb, and because two or more of the children are growing, the doctor will recommend “selective abortion” with the idea that fewer babies in the womb will allow those remaining a better chance to survive.
I know, as we all should, that every child conceived, even by in vitro fertilization, is fully human and truly a child of God.
Please God, I pray, that those many parents who have participated in IVF come to the full knowledge of God’s forgiveness for what they have done.
I know women who now worry about “my children who are in a frozen state.” “What will happen to them?” they ask.
The children born through IVF will come to learn one day that they have full-blooded siblings – yes, brothers and sisters – who may either be born by some other mother or be born years hence, even though conceived at the same time, are forever frozen, or were destroyed.
Think of the many siblings who are born through IVF, likely living near each other, unknowingly related. They might even begin a relationship and want to marry. This creates an invisible, unknowing incest. These are not isolated cases in this unregulated and depraved practice.
How correct was the decision by Alabama’s Supreme Court that frozen embryos are in fact children and their accidental death warrants a wrongful death lawsuit. Now, let’s right the wrong of years of this unhealthy behavior by eliminating further generations of this genetic abuse.
Millions of children have since been conceived and killed. Perhaps as many babies as have been surgically aborted.
Is this the country we want? To have many more live babies at the expense of many more fertilized, extinguished, and experimented upon infants?
IVF is not a pathway to parenthood. It is a pathway to create a cemetery of unburied bodies.
Truly, there are healthy and natural ways toward becoming a parent. This is what you and our national leaders must promote.
Yes, there are scientifically sound and proven methods of overcoming infertility. Because such ways are natural and less costly, they are denounced by the more profitable baby-making businesses.
NaPro Technology (Natural Procreative Technology) successfully treats the symptoms of infertility for both men and women. NaPro uses medicines and surgical techniques overcoming many inabilities to conceive a child. There’s more than a 30-year success rate. Additionally, there are scientifically proven ways to understand the fertility cycle that have a higher success rate at conceiving children than does any IVF facility.
The Gianna Center for Women’s Health & Fertility offers “successfully-proven natural approaches to help women and couples who are struggling with infertility.”
Herbal medicines and even chiropractic methods also have been proven to help conceive a pregnancy.
Of course, we should not leave adoption out of this option. There are many children abandoned by parents or brought into the world by a mom who would love to place a child into the arms of caring, compassionate parents. Make adoption easier for both mothers and families.
Please, dear senators, don’t put politics above your otherwise strong pro-life stands. You can defend life and not have to sell out to an industry capitalizing upon people’s strong desires for something good but using something bad. In most cases, IVF will not work. In all cases, IVF is destroying more lives. In all cases, IVF makes a horrible mess out of what should be a beautiful family that nature ordains.
Joan Andrews Bell is a wife and mother of seven children who was incarcerated for peacefully and prayerfully trying to stop a late-term abortionist in Washington, D.C., in a traditional pro-life rescue. (Jailed pro-lifer Joan Andrews Bell urges Ted Cruz to reverse support for child-destroying IVF.)
Joan Andrews Bell is as charitable as she is humble and unassuming in exercising her duties to perform the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy.
This having been noted, though, Senator Rafael Edward Cruz, for one, is not authentically “pro-life” as he has made it abundantly clear throughout his career, especially when running against private citizen/celebrity Donald John Trump for the Republican Party’s 2016 presidential nomination that he supports contraception, boasting that he and his wife, Heidi Nelson Cruz, had only two children and not seventeen, and exceptions to the inviolability of all innocent human life.
Here is a reminder of the facts as found in a commentary that appeared on this site on January 20, 2016:
Iowans at a town hall waded into awkward territory on Monday evening as Ted Cruz tackled a question on contraceptives.
During a question and answer session at the final stop of a three-day Iowa campaign swing, an attendee asked Cruz about "making contraception available to women who want to control their own bodies."
The Texas senator began by attacking what he called the Democratic Party's "(concocted) war on women" and accused Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton of falsely attacking the GOP as "the condom police."
"Hillary Clinton embraces abortion on demand in all circumstances up until the moment of birth. Partial-birth abortion with taxpayer funding, with no notification for parents in any circumstances -- 91% of Americans say that's nuts," he said. "So what do they do, they try to shift it. The war on women wasn't that, it was contraceptives. Now listen, I have been a conservative my entire life. I have never met anybody, any conservative who wants to ban contraceptives."
Cruz said the charge that conservatives are anti-contraceptives is a "made-up, nonsense example."
"As I noted, Heidi and I, we have two little girls. I'm very glad we don't have 17," he told the hundreds of people in the audience. "And it's a great example when the war on women came up, Republicans would curl up in a ball, they'd say, 'Don't hurt me.' Jiminy Cricket!"
"Last I checked we don't have a rubber shortage in America. When I was in college we had a machine in the bathroom, you put .50 cents in and voila!" Cruz continued, receiving some uncomfortable laughter from the audience. "So yes, anyone who wants contraceptives can access them, but it's an utterly made-up nonsense issue."
Cruz said Clinton is running as the "condom police" to distract from other policies and "scare" voters.
"Imagine for a second you're Hillary Clinton," he said. "You're trying to think, 'How do I run?' Well you can't run on the economy because we have the lowest percentage of Americans working any year since 1977. You can't run on Obamacare because millions of people have lost their jobs, lost their health care, lost their doctors, seen their premiums skyrocket. You certainly can't run on foreign policy because every country you touched as secretary of state is a disaster."
"So what do you do? You go, 'Ah, ha! Condom police. I'm gonna make up a completely made up threat and try to scare a bunch of folks into thinking someone's going to steal their birth control,'" Cruz said. "What nonsense." (Ted Cruz: GOP isn't 'condom police.)
Still think that Rafael Edward Cruz is worth supporting?
Cruz is a true son of the spirit of Magaret Sanger. The language he used in that town hall meeting was truly remarkable coming from one who considers himself to have "family values." The man has as little decency and modesty of speech as Donald Trump himself.
Rafael Edward Cruz is a product of Protestant individualism, a man who closes his heart to accepting with generosity and a serene acceptance of the will of God however many or few children He wants them to have. Married couples are obligated to live by God's laws, which forbid the frustration of the transmission of new life. Cruz's attitude is one of selfishness. He is no more a defender of the family than those in the organized crime family of the naturalist "left" who support contraception as a human right even though it is a denial of the Sovereignty of God over the sanctity and fecundity of that which is properly exercised only in the married state.
This poor man does not understand that contraception is a grave moral evil that is proscribed by the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law, and he believes that he can be an instrument of justice in the civil realm despite making light of that which is principally responsible for the spread of rampant marital infidelity, widespread divorce and abandonment of families, the feminization of poverty, the rise and institutionalization of the welfare state, and to the decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Griswold v. Connecticut, June 7, 1965, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, June 22, 1973, and, among so many others, Obergefell v. Hodges, June 26, 2015. (From: Antichrist's Interchangeable Spare Parts, part two: False Opposites Within False Opposites.)
Senator Rafael Edward Cruz’s uncritical support for the evil that is in vitro fertilization did not come out of the blue. Although he has identified himself as a baptized Catholic who “somehow wound up a Southern Baptist,” his false views on contraception and in vitro fertilization are the product of the fact that he has spent all but a few months of his early life as a Protestant and thus does not realize avoiding the conception of children by the us contraceptive pills and devices, each of which is an abortifacient, leads inevitably to the demand for the artificial conception children. Cruz comes by his errors naturally, and the same is true for Senator Katie Britt. Donald John Trump, though, is simply ignorant as he, too, supports the prevention of the conception of children and their artificial creation by means of in vitro fertilization:
Here is a refresher course as to what it is to be "pro-life":
1) No one who supports one abortion under cover of law is pro-life.
2) It is unjust and misleading to call a politician who supports even one abortion under cover of law as being "pro-life."
3) No one who supports contraception and/or funding for same is pro-life or can be called "pro-life."
4) No one who supports classroom instruction in matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments (under any of its various guises) and/or funding for same can be called "pro-life."
5) No one who supports "civil unions" while opposing "marriages" of those engaged in perverse acts in violation of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments is pro-family or can be called "pro-family."
6) No one who supports the medical industry’s manufactured, money-making myth of “brain death” and human vivisection in the name of “giving the gift of life” is “pro-life.”
7) No one who supports the thinly disguised euthanasia that is “palliative care”/hospice is pro-life.
8) No one who supports in vitro fertilization is “pro-life.”
At the same time as the historically pro-abortion Rober Francis Kennedy, Jr. (see Remember, Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr., That You Have A Soul), was praising President Donald John Trump for “doing God’s work” by expanding access to in vitro fertilization, the United States Food and Drug Administration approved a new pill to kill preborn babies chemically:
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) expressed his “grave concern” and demanded answers from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on its decision to approve a generic abortion drug despite significant safety concerns.
Last week, the FDA, led by Commissioner Marty Makary, gave its “surprise approval,” according to Hawley, of “a new generic abortion drug.” The approval came despite a recent announcement that the FDA planned to study the safety of the abortion pill.
Hawley had previously expressed skepticism of Makary’s nomination but had voted to confirm him partially due to his promise to investigate the safety of abortion drugs. Although the drugs can never truly be safe because they aim to kill an innocent preborn baby, they can also be incredibly damaging for women, as Hawley pointed out in his October 3 letter.
“As you know, recent data shows that nearly 11% of women who use the chemical abortion drug, mifepristone, experience a serious adverse health event – like sepsis or hemorrhaging – within 45 days,” Hawley stated. “That is an adverse-event rate at least 22 times greater than currently disclosed on the FDA-approved drug label.”
He noted Makary had promised a “thorough safety review of mifepristone and existing regulations,” yet the latest decision undermines that promise.
He wrote:
The timing of your agency’s approval raises further questions. FDA is supposed to be conducting a review of the safety regulations around mifepristone. But because this new generic has been approved before any changes to those safety protocols, this drug may be exempted from any new safety standards imposed on mifepristone in the future. That would render your safety review toothless and irrelevant.
Sen. Hawley asked Makary what his involvement was in the decision to approve, whether the review included an evaluation of “adverse events,” and if the drug would be allowed to stay on the market regardless of the current inquiry launched by the FDA.
Soon after approval of the drugs, Hawley accused Makary of “betrayal,” according to the Washington Examiner.
HHS claims it had to approve new drug, but Washington Post says that’s not true
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) defended the decision to approve another dangerous drug to kill innocent preborn babies by saying it is required to approve drugs if they are similar to other pills.
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responded to the criticism last week and said “federal law requires approval when an application proves the generic is identical to the brand-name drug” and insisted that the FDA’s review was still ongoing.
“The Biden administration removed mifepristone’s in-person dispensing rule without studying the safety risks. We are filling that gap,” he said. “Recent studies already point to serious risks when mifepristone is used without proper medical oversight.”
Even the liberal Washington Post challenged this claim from the HHS.
“But the FDA has the ability to slow approvals of generic drugs, such as requesting more data from manufacturers. The agency took 10 years to approve the first generic version of mifepristone, made by GenBioPro,” the Washington Post reported. “A similar outcry arose among abortion foes when the first Trump administration approved that medication in 2019.”
Evita Solutions is the creator of the drug. Its explicit goal is to make it as easy as possible for women to kill their innocent preborn babies.
Evita’s stated mission is to “normalize abortion” and make it “accessible to all,” as LifeSiteNews previously reported.
Hawley has been a vocal critic of the HHS and FDA’s failure to address the abortion drug crisis.
Soon after news broke of approval, Hawley said “This is shocking. FDA has just approved ANOTHER chemical abortion drug, when the evidence shows chemical abortion drugs are dangerous and even deadly for the mother.”
“And of course 100% lethal to the child.”
Pro-life groups also criticized the decision.
“The Trump Administration’s approval of a new and deadly generic version of Mifepristone, without doing anything to protect mothers from abusers, women from reckless distribution leading to injury, infertility, and even death, or the environment from abortion water pollution represents a true failure,” Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life Action, stated in a news release. (Hawley demands answers from FDA on ‘surprise approval’ of new abortion pill.)
American Life League strongly denounces the US Food and Drug Administration’s recent approval of yet another form of the abortion pill, a decision that ALL deems a direct assault on the sanctity of human life. This approval stands in stark contrast to the FDA’s recent warnings to pregnant women about the risks of common medications like Tylenol, and it exposes a troubling inconsistency in prioritizing the safety of mothers and their preborn children.
Katie Brown Xavios, ALL’s national director, released the following statement regarding the decision:
The FDA’s decision to approve yet another form of the deadly abortion pill should spark outrage from all Americans of good conscience. It is a sick irony that, one week, the FDA warns pregnant mothers of the dangers of Tylenol, and the next week it approves another drug designed to kill preborn children.
Our administration claims to be pro-life, but these actions refute that claim. You cannot be pro-life and approve of a drug that kills children.
American Life League calls on pro-life Americans to contact the FDA and ask that they immediately reverse this decision and take all abortion drugs off the market.
For those who feel compelled to water down the pro-life position, we remind them that the time to waver is over. We know these pills kill a child and strip a mother of her innocence. Our lawmakers have made themselves complicit in this heinous act not just once, but time and time again.
We demand unfettered protection for the preborn. (American Life League Condemns FDA Approval of Abortion Pill, Calls for Immediate Reversal.)
This is a case of more immoral promises made and kept as candidate Trump told us last year that he would seek to enforce Federal legislation that made it illegal to send the human pesticide through the mails. Here is a reminder of this fact:
Former President Donald Trump gave his clearest answer to date on the federal regulation of abortion pills, and it’s not what conservatives wanted to hear.
After months of avoiding specifics, Trump told CBS News on Monday that he would not use the 150-year-old Comstock Act to ban mail delivery of the drugs if elected in November, adding: “The federal government should have nothing to do with this issue.”
Many prominent conservatives and anti-abortion activists were outraged by the remark, calling it “nonsensical” and “cowardly,” and warning that it could dampen turnout and enthusiasm on the right heading into a close election.
“It is not a pro-life position, it’s not an acceptable position, and it does not provide the contrast on this issue to the degree that we have had in the past between him and Kamala Harris,” said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council. “What President Trump is doing is suppressing his own support.”
Though anti-abortion stalwarts credit Trump for appointing the Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe, this is far from their first clash over policy and messaging. Trump’s refusal to endorse a national abortion ban and push to soften parts of the GOP platform ahead of the Republican convention sparked outrage from corners of the right, including from his former vice president, Mike Pence.
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Though abortion opponents are pouring resources into a myriad of legislative, legal and other strategies to cut off access to abortion pills, they have seized in particular on Comstock as a means of curtailing their use without having to go through Congress.
The law, passed in the 1870s and named for an official who campaigned against everything from masturbation to women’s suffrage, bans mail delivery of any “lewd or lascivious material,” including any “instrument, substance, drug, medicine, or thing” that could be used for an abortion. (Trump says he would not enforce Comstock Act, angering anti-abortion groups.)
Immoral promise made.
Here is the latest news about the forty-seventh president’s efforts to keep the abortion pill available to women to murder their babies surgically:
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas to dismiss a lawsuit against Biden-era rules approving mail distribution of abortion pills, in a troubling escalation of the Trump administration’s aversion to undoing the pro-abortion policy.
In December 2021, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) under former President Joe Biden eliminated its requirement that abortion pills be dispensed in person, allowing pharmacists to instead send them through the mail as long as the recipient has a prescription. Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) sued on behalf of pro-life doctors and advocates, eventually getting the U.S. Supreme Court to take the case, which pro-lifers hoped might also impact the FDA’s original approval of mifepristone in 2000 and subsequent relaxation of the cutoff point for taking it from seven to 10 weeks.
The Supreme Court dismissed that challenge last year, but the states of Idaho, Kansas, and Missouri filed another challenge last October.
On May 5, however, the Trump DOJ filed a motion to dismiss, on multiple grounds, from “[t]heir claims have no connection to the Northern District of Texas,” to “[t]he mere fact that someone might violate state law does not by itself injure the government,” to “fail[ure] to identify any actual or imminent controversy over whether any of their laws are preempted,” to “[t]he States fail to cite any precedent supporting their theory that they can sue over any policy that affects their potential future birthrate.”
Politico suggests that the administration’s position fits into a broader legal strategy of “preserving executive power and preventing courts from second-guessing agency decisions,” even in cases that involve “backing policies favored by Democrats.” But it also fits with President Donald Trump’s stated opposition to undoing Biden’s liberalization of abortion pill rules.
Trump has taken a number of pro-life actions since returning to office, but said on the campaign trail that he would not enforce the federal law against mailing abortion pills, as part of his broader push to make the Republican Party more “centrist” on life.
Trump’s Health & Human Services (HHS) Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., suggested in February that he would study the health risks of abortion pills, which gave pro-lifers hope of a reversal. But no action has been taken since then, and, most recently, FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary said he had “no plans to take action” on abortion pills, while acknowledging that new data might change his mind.
“This is a serious mistake,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said of the Justice Department’s stance. (Trump DOJ asks court to dismiss states' lawsuit against Biden abortion pill rules.) (From Immoral Promises Made, Immoral Promises Kept, part two.)
There is nothing else to say except to remind the readers of this website God will never permit any country, to enjoy a respite from the angry, bitter divisions caused by pluralism in the religiously indifferentist civil state of Modernity on the blood of the innocent preborn.
Live in your fantasies if you prefer.
Get all wrapped up in the agitations of the moment if this is how you want to spend your days.
Continue to be deluded by the false premises upon which modern civil state, including the United States of America, was founded if you do not want to be reminded of root causes and the fact that Catholicism, not Americanism or any other kind of nationalism, is the one and only foundation of a just civil order.
We cannot expect true justice to be done by those who are not only personally unjust but who are hypocrites of the highest order, something that is especially true in the State of New York, where George Soros-inspired “bail reform” laws permit violent, recidivist criminals to put back pout on streets immediately after being arraigned on charges of violent assault to commit even more crimes knowing full well that favorably inclined prosecutors will never hold them to account for their crimes against God and the just laws of men.
As I noted in my thirty plus year career as a college professor of political science and have continued to note in my writing and speaking, the “people” have no authority to permit anything that is proscribed by the Divine Positive Law and/or the Natural Law. No one, whether acting individually or collectively with others in the institutions of civil governance, is morally free to contravene the binding precepts of any of the Ten Commandments, including the Fifth, Sixth, and Ninth Commandments.
Truth exists, either in the nature of things or as it has been revealed positively by the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, through His true Church, the Catholic Church. Truth does not depend human acceptance for its binding force or validity, and truth in the supernatural realm and/or in the realm of the natural moral law is no more “imposed” upon anyone than are physical laws such as the “law of gravity.” One who attempts to defy the law of gravity will suffer the consequences for doing so, and those who defy the Divine and Natural Laws suffer consequences both in this life and, if they die having not repented of their sins and confessed them to a true priest in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, for all eternity in hell.
It is only by adherence to our Catholic Faith as we prostrate ourselves before Our Eucharistic King and pledge ourselves to Him through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary to His own Most Sacred Heart that we can find a remedy in the souls of individual men to help them overcome the conflicts and agitations of the moment and thus rise to the heights of personal sanctity.
This world in which we live is passing away. The triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be made manifest ‘ere long. We must be focused on the sanctification and salvation of our own immortal souls as we keep our First Friday devotions with fervor and pray Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary every day, including on each First Saturday for the intentions specified by the Mother of God in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, and to Sister Lucia dos Santos in Tuy, Spain.
I will never tire of reminding the readers of this site that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.
I will never tire of opposing the lies of naturalism and of documenting the various ways in which the naturalists of the false opposites of the "right" and of the "left" agree on the same basic anti-Incarnational and semi-Pelagian principles upon which the Modern state is based and with which conciliar revolutionaries have made their "official reconciliation" and even help to propagate by means of the "new evangelization."
And I will never tire of reminding readers of this site that we must, as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, use the shield of the Brown Scapular and the weapon of the Most Holy Rosary to combat the forces of the world, the flesh and the devil in our own lives so that we might be able to plant a few seeds for the glorious day when all men and all women everywhere will exclaim:
Viva Cristo Rey! Vivat Christus Rex!
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
Saint Joseph, pray for us.
Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.
Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.
Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.
Saints Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, pray for us.
