Truth Resistant Strains of Naturalist Bacteria

Birds of a naturalist feather do indeed flock together. As is ever the case, the lords of the naturalist "right" are just as eager to drink at the blood money trough of baby-killers as their supposed "opposite" number in the naturalist "left." Willard Mitt Romney is no exception to this. Not at all.

Remember, admitting that the remote cause of all human problems is Original Sin and the after-effects of our own Actual Sins, the proximate root cause of the evils of Modernity rests in the pagan elements of the Renaissance and in the Protestant Revolution against the Divine Plan that God Himself instituted to effect man's return to Him through the Catholic Church. The Protestant Revolution was a gateway to all of the errors of Modernity. Those who think that there is some way to "vote" themselves out of what is a chastisement for man's infidelity to Christ the King will never, it appears, want to learn just how wrong they are.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Fret Not About Denying The Faith, Fret Not

Who frets about those who deny the Holy Faith, the Faith of our Fathers. Not Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who leaves the likes of Kathleen Sebelius in "good standing" in his counterfeit church of conciliarism and who is content to "reaffirm" women religious in the United States of America despite a so-called "doctrinal assessment of the "Leadership Conference on Women Religious" that "discovered" problems that are actually of very longstanding. The only thing that Ratzinger/Benedict seems to fret about is offending those who deny the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Fear of offending God? Not Ratzinger/Benedict. Not at all.

There is no need to discuss at length the lawsuits filed yesterday by the Archdiocese of New York and various institutions attached to the conciliar church concerning the United States Department of Health and Human Services's mandate, authored by Kathleen Sebelius, who spoke recently at Georgetown University, that requires all employers to provide health-insurance coverage for "contraception" and other "family planning services. While the lawsuits may be successful once they are litigated in lower Federal courts and are combined to make their way to the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the very foundation of these lawsuits, "religious liberty," is also the foundational root cause of why the mandate was issued in the first place. There are links in the current article to a whole series of articles on this subject that have appeared on this site in recent months.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

May 21 Republished Article

Republished: From Bethlehem to Calvary to Heaven

Waiting for the next original article? I know the feeling. The post office box has been relatively empty this month save for a few privately solicited donations and two unsolicited ones. Patience is a virtue.

Actually, the pace of the last few weeks required another day off from new writing, which is why I dusted off this brief reflection on the Holy Mass and its importance in our daily lives, a subject that I believe is quite appropriate as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ spent much of the forty days between His Resurrection on Easter Sunday and His Ascension on Ascension Thursday in teaching the Apostles how to offer Holy Mass, and he did not instruct them in the ways of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service.

Look for that next article tomorrow. I am sorry for the delay. There have been twenty-three original articles in the past four weeks. Things just have slow down a little bit for the rest of the month. However, I still hope to get five more articles up for you between now and the end of this month. Thanks for your patience.

For those who have not seen Saturday's article, please go to Admit Bearer Only After Denying The Catholic Faith.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

May 20 Update

After several days of very late nights of work, you will have to wait until tomorrow for another article on this site. I have, however, slightly revised and expanded yesterday's article (see below) to include a set of superb observations made by a man I am privileged to count as a friend, Mr. Frank Rega, the author of Saint Francis of Assisi and the Conversion of the Muslims.

Today, Sunday within the Octave of the Ascension, supplants the Feast of Saint Bernardine of Siena, which is commemorated in Holy Mass today. Saint Bernardine of Siena was the great apostle of the Holy Name of Jesus. It is, of course, the Holy Name of Jesus that we proclaim one hundred fifty-three times every day when we pray all fifteen mysteries of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary. How fitting it is that this great apostle of the Holy Name should have died on May 20, 1444, and was canonized just six years, six days later, on May 24, 1450, as he was very devoted to Our Lady Whose great prayer, the Holy Rosary, praises fruit of her Virginal and Immaculate Womb, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Let's pray an extra Rosary today in reparation for blasphemies against the Most Holy Name of Jesus that is so profaned in the world and mocked by the revolutionaries of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who dare to preach heresies in His Holy Name and to engage in unspeakable sacrileges claiming to have His authority.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Bernardine of Siena.

Admit Bearer Only After Denying The Catholic Faith

No, this article does not deal directly with the continuing "doctrinal discussions" between officials of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. It does, however, address what one must do to join "full, active and conscious" participation in the Novus Ordo church that is but an ape of the Catholic Church. One must deny the Faith, especially insofar as her doctrines concerning those who adhere to the Talmud.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter Celestine, pray for us.

I was remiss in the wee hours of the morning yesterday in not posting the Novena to the Holy Ghost, which we began yesterday ourselves. My apologies. The Novena concludes a week from today, the Vigil of Pentecost.

To Advocate Christ The King, Nothing Else

All falls apart absent Christ the King, including the very demographic composition of nations. It is thus no surprise that the births of "non-whites" now outnumber "whites" in the United States of America as many of the descendants of white Europeans have contracepted and aborted themselves out of existence.

Alas, changes in demographic compositions of nations is nothing new. Invasions and wars in Europe during the era of Christendom (and even well beforehand) did so. Holy Mother Church has always had a ready solution to this: convert all non-Catholics to the true Faith so that everyone may see in each other the Divine impress on their immortal souls and treat them as they would treat Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the very Flesh.

We must advocate Christ the King, nothing else.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Venantius, pray for us.

You will notice that I have, at the suggestion of a reader who is a good friend of ours, added a "donation" icon to some of the pages on this site. This is just a little hint. Although I have made private entreaties of a few readers this week, those icons are to remind one and all that the work of this site needs non-tax-deductible financial gifts, which have been very few and far between in the last four weeks in the post office box, to continue.

Thank you.

May 17 Articles

Republished: Ascending to Heaven Every Day (a new--and very brief--article on the Society of Saint Pius X-Conciliar Church soap opera can be found below this synopsis):

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's forty days' of teaching the Apostles after his glorious Resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday culminated this very day, Ascension Thursday, as He instructed the Eleven as follows before going up into Heaven from Mount Olivet at whose foot He had suffered His Agony in the Garden six weeks before as Saints Peter, James and John slumbered:

And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And seeing him they adored: but some doubted. And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. (Matthew 28: 16-20.)

There is no "expiration" date on this command. Indeed, the commentary in the Bishop Richard Challoner version of the Douay-Rheims Bible explains that the command is in force until Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ comes in glory on the Last Day to judge the living and the dead and that His Church could never go astray, meaning, of course, that it is impossible for the Catholic Church to give any impression at all that God is pleased with false religions such as Mohammedanism and Talmudic Judaism, which is what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI did consistently throughout his pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel two years ago now:

18 "All power"... See here the warrant and commission of the apostles and their successors, the bishops and pastors of Christ's church. He received from his Father all power in heaven and in earth: and in virtue of this power, he sends them (even as his Father sent him, St. John 20. 21) to teach and disciple, not one, but all nations; and instruct them in all truths: and that he may assist them effectually in the execution of this commission, he promises to be with them, not for three or four hundred years only, but all days, even to the consummation of the world. How then could the Catholic Church ever go astray; having always with her pastors, as is here promised, Christ himself, who is the way, the truth, and the life. St. John 14.

The Catholic Church can never go astray. She is infallible. She does not give us any "new ecclesiology" or "hermeneutic of continuity and discontinuity" to deconstruct the meaning of dogmatic truth, thus attacking the essence of the nature of God Himself, or false ecumenism. Her pastors do not esteem the symbols and values and places of false religions and they do not engage in "inter-religious" "prayer" services. Her pastors do not teach that false religions have a "right" from God to propagate their false beliefs publicly and they do not praise those false beliefs for being "able" to "contribute" to the building of a "better" world. Pastors of the Catholic Church insist always and at all times that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order with no equivocation, uncertainty, ambiguity or obscurity of any kind.

As Pope Pius XI noted in Mortalium Animos, January 6, 1928, there is need to "strain" to "find" Catholicism in the pronouncements made by Holy Mother Church:

For the teaching authority of the Church, which in the divine wisdom was constituted on earth in order that revealed doctrines might remain intact for ever, and that they might be brought with ease and security to the knowledge of men, and which is daily exercised through the Roman Pontiff and the Bishops who are in communion with him, has also the office of defining, when it sees fit, any truth with solemn rites and decrees, whenever this is necessary either to oppose the errors or the attacks of heretics, or more clearly and in greater detail to stamp the minds of the faithful with the articles of sacred doctrine which have been explained. (Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos, January 6, 1928.)

How has the integrity of the doctrine of the First commandment been stamped on "minds of the faithful" by the words and deeds of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI? By scenes such as this one?

Benedict enters Dome of the Rock

Benedict denying Catholic doctrine and history at the Dome of the Rock

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Ascended into Heaven this day. We must ascend with Him in our thoughts and prayers at all times as we refuse to have our minds and hearts poisoned by the words and the deeds of the false shepherds of the counterfeit church of conciliarism who dare to blaspheme God so regularly and so openly and/or who refuse to open their mouths in defense of the honor and majesty and glory of God when He is so blasphemed and offended.

As the angel made clear to the Eleven as they looked into the sky as Our Lord disappeared from their sight on this day, there is work for us to do:

They therefore who were come together, asked him, saying: Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? But he said to them: It is not for you to know the times or moments, which the Father hath put in his own power: But you shall receive the power of the Holy Ghost coming upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had said these things, while they looked on, he was raised up: and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they were beholding him going up to heaven, behold two men stood by them in white garments.

Who also said: Ye men of Galilee, why stand you looking up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, as you have seen him going into heaven. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount that is called Olivet, which is nigh Jerusalem, within a sabbath day's journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Jude the brother of James. All these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1: 6-14.)

Yes, we can't stand around all day long looking into the sky. There is work for us to do before Our Lord comes for us at the moment of our own Particular Judgments, which can come at any hour and on any day, and at the end of the world to judge the living and the dead.

The work that we have to do is to sanctify and to save our immortal souls as members of the Catholic Church, work that requires us to be attentive to the graces that were won for us on the wood of the Holy Cross by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord Saviour Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood and the flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. And to cooperate with the graces that Our Lady sends we must be fortified in prayer, which is one of the reasons that we must keep most assiduously the first Novena in the history of the Church, the Novena to God the Holy Ghost, which starts tomorrow, Friday, May 18, 2012.

Our Lady was separated from her Divine Son when He Ascended to Heaven. She was united to Him, however, by means of her reception of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in Holy Communion. She was united to the Apostles and the others who prayed in the same Upper Room where He had instituted the Holy Priesthood and the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday. She is united to us. She is our Blessed Mother. We need to ask her for all the graces that we need to save and to sanctify our souls as we eschew worldliness, which is the theme of today's slightly revised article, and as we refuse to participate in the fraud of a false religion, conciliarism, that is replete with daily outrages given to her Divine Son, starting with the outrage that is the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, and as we make much reparation for our sins and those of the whole world as the consecrated slaves of her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.

Monkey Wrenches

Yes, another article on the Society of Saint Pius X soap opera as the warring factions within it seek to discern what Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, who did and said enough to convince both sides of their rightness, concerning "reconciliation" with the conciliar authorities. It's no more "Mister Nice Guy" in the conciliar Vatican. The three bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X who oppose "reconciliation" without a "doctrinal agreement" (Catholics are, after all, supposed to believe in the same Faith) are being warned in no uncertain terms that they will be dealt with separately and singularly by the conciliar authorities. A few monkey wrenches here and there will slow down the path to "reconciliation" as the Society's march into oblivion is completed. It will, I believe, stop it from happening.

A blessed Feast of the Ascension to you all!

Oyster Bay Cove On Steroids, part two

Bishop Bernard Fellay, the Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X, is making the most of his newfound "acceptance" in the conciliar structures, having given an interview in which he praises Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict for "working to defend the faith." No, I am not making this up. Let those who have the eyes see the reality and accept it. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Boniface (of Tarsus, Fourth Century martyr), pray for us.

Prayers are requested for the speedy recovery of Bishop Francis Slupski, who has been hospitalized while he was on the road yesterday after suffering dizziness and weakness. He was ordained to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer in 1961 in Poland and drives every week from Rockford, Illinois, to various chapels, including one in Marshalltown, Iowa, which is over 240 miles from Rockford, doing so despite a number of medical problems. Please pray for his quick recovery.

Prayers are also requested for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Antoinette Veronica Posillico, who died yesterday, Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Old Westbury, New York. Mrs. Posillico was the mother of ten children, two of whom, twin brothers named Michael and Marco who turned fifty years of age on March 31, 2012, are very good friends of ours and are very well known to Catholics all across the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide on Long Island. Sharon and Lucy join me in expressing our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Posillico family as we ask readers of this site to pray for for the happy repose of the souls of Mrs. Antoinette Veronica Posillico, R.I.P.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

May 13 Update

Part two of yesterday's article, Oyster Bay Cove On Steroids, which dealt with the pitched warfare within the Society of Saint Pius X that will make the expulsion of "The Nine" in 1983 seem like a Class D league exhibition baseball game in the 1950s, will not appear until tomorrow, Monday, May 14, 2012. The late hours of this past week have, quite honestly, caught up with me.

This is the ninety-fifth anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal. The first apparition come in her month, this month, the month of May:

Do not be afraid, I will not harm you."

"I come from heaven."

"I have come to ask you to come here for six months on the 13th day of the month, at this same hour. Later I shall say who I am and what I desire. And I shall return here yet a seventh time."

Lucia then asked if they would go to heaven and she was told yes, she and Jacinta would go to heaven, but Francisco would need to say many rosaries first.

Lucia asked about two young women who had died recently, and was told that one was in heaven and the other, her friend Amelia, would be in purgatory "until the end of world."

"Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to send you, as an act of reparation for the conversion of sinners?"

"Then you are going to have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your comfort." (Mary's words at Fatima.)

There is quite a lot contained in these words of Our Lady at the time of her first apparition ninety-four years ago now. Quite a lot.

First, Our Lady told the children not to be afraid, that she had come from Heaven.

We tend, my good and very few readers, to get so lost in some of the problems extant in the world and that face us as Catholics in this time of apostasy and betrayal that we forget that the problems of these times will be over in flash. They will be over in a flash for us at the moment of our deaths, which could occur at any time, possibly this very day, Wednesday, May 11, 2011, and they will be over in a flash at the Second Coming of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ when He comes in glory for all see on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the living and the dead. We do not have a permanent home here on this earth:

[14] For we have not here a lasting city, but we seek one that is to come. [15] By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say, the fruit of lips confessing to his name. (Hebrews 13: 14-15.)

We have been made by God to be with Him in Heaven for all eternity, and we can only do that is we belong to His Most Blessed Mother.

Second, Jacinta Marto and Lucia dos Santos were given the incomparable privilege of knowing that that they were predestined to go to Heaven. Very few souls have been given this knowledge in their lifetimes. Very few.

For the rest of us, you see, we must work hard to go to Heaven as members of the Catholic Church, the only true church. Our Lady said that Francisco Marto would have to pray many Rosaries to go to Heaven. If little Francisco Marto, had to say many Rosaries go to Heaven, my good and diminish readership, then what us sinful folk? What about us? Yes, less time on the internet. Throw out the television. Turn off the naturalists on the radio and refuse to buy their snake-oil wares promising to tell you what's wrong the world as what's wrong with the world is that men and their nations do not subordinate themselves the Catholic Church and to the Social Reign of Christ the King. You need Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh to feed you a stack of naturalist lies? You do not. You need to pray more Rosaries. I need to pray more Rosaries!

Third, Our Lady told the three shepherd children that a friend of theirs who had died was going to be in Purgatory until the end of time. That should send chills up and down our mushy spines and cause our lukewarm hearts. Why was that little girl, who was, I believe, around fifteen years old, to be in Purgatory until the end of time? Because she had read bad books, that is, books filled with impurity. What about us? Do we still watch television, no less television programs that contain blasphemy and obscenity? Do we still go to motion pictures filled with rank immodesty that promote sins against Holy Purity and the most horrific visual graphics and sounds imaginable? No one has to pay any of that back because we're here to have fun? Quite wrong. Many of us have indeed participated in the popular culture, accepting just "a little bit of poison" because "the rest of the program [or movie] was very good, very entertaining." This is not the path of sanctity. This is not the path to Heaven.

Fourth, Our Lady asked the three shepherd children, those wonderfully privileged souls, if they were willing to offer themselves "to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to send you, as an act of reparation for the conversion of sinners?" Are we willing to do so. How can we refuse our Most Blessed Mother's request to do so?

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Saint Robert Bellarmine, pray for us.

Oyster Bay Cove On Steroids

Well, I had written an article on Thursday night into early, early yesterday morning that was "eaten" by my computer when I attempted to publish it. This happens every once in a while. I will have to rewrite the article from scratch at some point soon. All to thee Blessed Mother, all to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.

This article is a continuation of the saga unfolding within the Society of Saint Pius X, a saga that has exploded into public warfare that can be described as Oyster Bay Cove on steroids. It's a short article. Part two will appear tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding. There's much else on the "to do" list. Articles should appear every day for the next few days, physical strength permitting, that is. (Post office box. PayPal. Just a reminder. The "grub stake" from my annual pension payout has gone to pay overdue April bills and current bills due in May. Just a slight hint. Thanks so much.)

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Two articles for you today, although the lion's share of you seems to have forgotten how to send an envelope in the mail--or how to click on the PayPal button above--as a means of helping to continue the work of this site. (Smile.)

The first article, which was written after the second one I am posting today, is Silence In The Face Of Advancing Evils, which discusses how each of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance are promoted under cover of civil law and abroad in what is termed "popular culture." It is also very telling that, at least thus far, there has been nothing but a deafening silence from the conciliar "hierarchy" over the support given by President Barack Hussein Obama and Vice President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. who is, after all, within their "canonical jurisdiction," to "marriage" between persons of the same gender.

The second article, Uncrossed Ts and Undotted Is?, is just another commentary on the continuing soap opera that is soon-to-be "regularization" of the Society of Saint Pius X by the conciliar officials.

False Doctrine, Father Pfluger?

I interrupt the two-part series begun on Saturday with this brief effort, reprising very familiar material to longtime readers, to deal with the rank positivism displayed by Father Niklaus Pfluger, the First Assistant to the Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X, at a conference in Germany on the Third Sunday after Easter, April 29, 2012.

Mutual Admiration Societies, part one

Yes, another later (or early) hour. Such hours seem to be unavoidable given duties of state.

This article explains the mutual admiration societies that exist between the statist thugs of the "free" and "democratic" West and those with whom they share quite a common kinship in countries such as Red China. American officials have fallen all over themselves to help the leaders of what United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton called a "great nation" find a way out of the mess that they have created by beating and torturing blind dissident Chen Chungcheng. Part of the reason for the timidity of American officials is that it is, after all, rather embarrassing for them to try to help a man who has opposed Red China's anti-population policies, including forced abortions and its one-child-per-family policy, when they, the American officials, would love to do augment their own anti-population policies with the "full range," shall we say, of what Chen Chungcheng opposed. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Pius V, pray for us.

Today's other article, Pope Saint Pius V and the Conversion of the Conciliarists, has been republished from two years ago now. The title is pretty self-explanatory.

Check on Monday or Tuesday for part two of today's original article. I had thought that I could get this done by the Fourth Sunday after Easter. Given the lateness of the hour, 3:00 a.m., at which part one was posted on Saturday morning, May 5, 2012, other duties intervened. I am sorry.

"Yer Durn Tootin'"

Another late (or early) hour.

This brief commentary, which incorporates some familiar quotes, is the simply an effort to refute the contention made by a priest of the Society of Saint Pius X, Father Michel Simoulin, that "things" are "better" now in 1988 under Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI than they were under Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II at the time Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre proceeded to consecrate four men to the episcopacy without Wojtyla/John Paul II's blessing.

My contention is this: Things are worse now in 2012 than in 1988. Far worse? To quote the late George Francis Hayes, "Yer durn tootin'!"

Step By Step Yet Again

Readers will notice that I have not paid a whole lot of attention in the past few week to the farce that is electoral politics. There is no need, at least as I view things, to get all agitated and upset over the latest outrage committed by the administration of a reigning statist Barack Hussein Obama, or the latest "betrayal" of "conservatism" by Obama-Lite, Willard Mitt Romney, as it is all just a variation of themes that have been played so many times before.

Although my own well-stated judgment concerning voting in such a system of utter farce is only that, a personal judgment based upon an understanding of the circumstances in which we find ourselves (see Want to Reconsider the Lesser of Two Evils Business, Folks?), this article, an exercise in political science, explains how our system of electing the President and Vice President of the United States of America works, replete with some commentary and analysis on how the numbers stack up in this election cycle as of now. It's back to conciliarism tomorrow, it appears.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us.

Let us remember these words of Saint Athanasius, whose feast is commemorated in some traditional venues today, the Octave Day of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in Paschaltide, and celebrated in others, contained in a letter to his flock while he was exile:

"May God console you! ... What saddens you ... is the fact that others have occupied the churches by violence, while during this time you are on the outside. It is a fact that they have the premises – but you have the Apostolic Faith. They can occupy our churches, but they are outside the true Faith. You remain outside the places of worship, but the Faith dwells within you. Let us consider: what is more important, the place or the Faith? The true Faith, obviously. Who has lost and who has won in the struggle – the one who keeps the premises or the one who keeps the Faith? True, the premises are good when the Apostolic Faith is preached there; they are holy if everything takes place there in a holy way ...

"You are the ones who are happy; you who remain within the Church by your Faith, who hold firmly to the foundations of the Faith which has come down to you from Apostolic Tradition. And if an execrable jealousy has tried to shake it on a number of occasions, it has not succeeded. They are the ones who have broken away from it in the present crisis. No one, ever, will prevail against your Faith, beloved Brothers. And we believe that God will give us our churches back some day.

"Thus, the more violently they try to occupy the places of worship, the more they separate themselves from the Church. They claim that they represent the Church; but in reality, they are the ones who are expelling themselves from it and going astray. Even if Catholics faithful to Tradition are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ." (Letter of St. Athanasius to his flock.)

Take comfort from those words. Saint Athanasius, pray for us.

Republished: Total Marian Consecration

We are now in the month of May, the month of May, the month of Our Lady. This article as dusted two years ago now and revised quite substantially. It is a reflection on Total Consecration to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary that was first published in the printed pages of Christ or Chaos eleven years ago this month. Actually, this reflection was first written twelve years ago for use by a priest in the conciliar structures to be distributed to his parishioners. Although there is absolutely nothing profound contained in this reflection, I do hope that it helps to serve as a modest introduction to the topic of total consecration to Our Lady for those who are unfamiliar with the benefits that accrue to those who enslave themselves to her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Just One And The Same

Yes, yes, yes. Another late (or early) hour.

This article is very brief. It examines the madness of ecumania, which has resulted, on an "unofficial" basis, you understand, a statement issued by the so-called United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the United Methodist Church on their mutual concerns about "the Eucharist and ecology." No, one cannot make up this madness.

Profaning the Holy Name of Our Lady At Her University Once Again

Although it's not on the level of the scandal caused by Barack Hussein Obama's appearance of University of Notre Dame du Lac on Sunday, May 17, 2009, a speaker at the university's Graduate School commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 19, 2009, is as disqualified as the reigning caesar to address graduates of a supposedly "Catholic" university. Just another day in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Catharine of Siena, T.O.P., pray for us.

Republished: Saint Catherine of Siena: Suffering With Joy

Just a brief--and entirely inadequate--reflection on the life and work of Saint Catherine of Siena, T.O.P.

There should be another article posted tomorrow, May 1, 2012, the Feast of Saints Philip and James.

In God's Good Time, Not Ours

A very, very short article. Really. Truly. I promise.

This article is a brief reflection concerning how we cannot "force" anyone to see the true state of the Church Militant on earth in this time of apostasy and betrayal and we cannot "force" anyone to accept the truth of any particular situation. All we can do is to present the information that we have to give others and then water our efforts with prayer without looking for results or caring what people say or think about us. Everything gets revealed on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the living and the dead. In the meantime, of course, we must remember that God work's in His own good time, not ours.

Trying To Stop The Waltz

It is again very late (or early).

Are forces at work to try to stop the waltz between the Society of Saint Pius X and the conciliar revolutionaries? Some believe that they are, including the head of a "reconciled" community, the Institute of the Good Shepherd in France. The waltz, though, is a sideshow as it is taking place between those who have a false ecclesiology and those who are apostates who have expelled themselves from the bosom of Holy Mother Church. This is a time of great chastisement. We are privileged to be alive now to suffer as. we are for the sake of Catholic truth. It is a joy to suffer with Christ the King as His consecrated slave through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, she who is our Immaculate Queen.

Republished: Why Live in Fear With Saint Joseph So Near Now As Ever Before

Today is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in Paschaltide. This brief article, which, after seven straight days of original articles posted in the wee hours of the morning, is all that I can give you today, is a reminder to those who reader this site that our dear Saint Joseph did not live in fear even in the midst of his greatest sorrows. We must not live in fear in our own lives today. Indeed, why live in fear with Saint Joseph so near? Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church and Protector of the Faithful, pray for us. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love love. Save souls. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us now and in death's agony.

Finally, I ask for your prayers for the repose of the immortal soul of Mrs. Mary Erickson, the sister of a reader of this site, who died yesterday, April 24, 2012, the Feast of Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, after a long battle with cancer.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

On The Terms Of The Enemies Of Christ The King

Start the drum roll. Strike up the band. The Talmudic successors of the ancient Biblical enemies of Christ the King have gone into action once again to seek to put pressure on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI after reports that a "reconciliation" with the supposedly "anti-Semitic" Society of Saint Pius X might occur sooner rather than later. Such a move, some Talmudists and their conciliar enablers believe, would result in an "institutional" embrace of the Society's alleged "anti-Semitism" on the part of what they think is the Catholic Church, a veritable repudiation of the "Second" Vatican Council and the "magisterium" of the postconciliar "popes."

This is all very good theater. It is also theater of the absurd as, far from seeking a "rupture" with the "Second" Vatican Council, the current "pope" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism believes that a "reconciled" Society of Saint Pius X would be "pacified" over the time. Until then, however, he is willing to tolerate positions that he rejects in order to be able to let the passage of time neutralize members of the Society as has occurred with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter and the Society of Saint John Mary Vianney.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Another Contrast With Concilairism: Saint Fidelis is being republished today on the the feast day of a martyr who gave up his life doing what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI says is unnecessary: to seek with urgency the conversion of Protestants to the Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order. Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, pray for us.

Repeating Distinctions Made A Thousand Times

There is really nothing new in this article, which is merely an attempt to repeat yet again distinctions between the proper Catholic Church's teaching teaching of the toleration of evil and the Americanist concept of "religious liberty" that was a building block of the "Second" Vatican Council's Dignitatis Humanae, December 7, 1965. This reworking of old, familiar material, which may not be so familiar to newer readers of this site, is designed to help the newer readers wade through the slogans of Americanism and the efforts of Catholics to square them with the Faith. I know. I tried doing this for the first ten to twelve years of my teaching career before being challenged twice in the mid-1980s to read the Church's social encyclical letters. Also helpful to newer readers would be Not A Mention of Christ the King, published twenty-six months ago now, and Dr. John C. Rao's Founding Fathers vs. Church Fathers: 666-0.

Foreshadowing Ratzinger In Being Oblivious To The Truth

This is a brief follow-up commentary to yesterday's article, From John Carroll To James Gibbons To Timothy Dolan. The apostates of the counterfeit church of concilairism do not exalt "religious toleration" of false ideas. They believe that false ideas have a right from God to be propagated and that those ideas can contribute to the "common good." Wrong. Error is never any foundation of personal or social order. Sorry, Americanists. You are wrong. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Anselm, pray for us.

Late afternoon update: Well, we finally had mail today in the post office box. Three non-tax-deductible gifts received. This made it possible to scoot over to a bank to pay our monthly car loan installment. We thank those who have sent us these gifts and one other person who has made a direct non-tax-deductible gift to us. God will not be outdone in His generosity. Deo gratias!

From John Carroll To James Gibbons To Timothy Dolan

In light of a few questions sent to me by readers, I am addressing yet again something that I had thought had been explored sufficiently on this site: the embrace of the heresy of Americanism by the conciliar "bishops." There is some familiar material in this article. However, there is some new material as well. The article was written with a special view of helping newer readers to this site navigate their way through the swampland of Modernism, of which Americanism is such an important part. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Remember, there is something called the Donations page. Over two hundred thirty people have read the page this month. Precisely six of those have responded, five via PayPal and still just via the postal service. We appreciate the generosity of those who have given as we know that each of those who have done so have made truly sacrificial gifts. We can only pray that more of you, especially those with the financial wherewithal to make a non-tax-deductible financial gift, will join them. Thanks.

"Joe" Hasn't Changed, Fellas

Although I was going to post an article on "religious liberty" today, an open letter to Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI by a former colleague of his, Dr. Leonard Swidler, whose letter began with the salutation "Dear Joe," caught my attention.

Dr. Leonard Swidler is rebuking his former colleague for having "betrayed" the conciliar revolution that both of them helped to champion in the 1960s. What Leonard Swidler and the priests and presbyters in Austria clamoring to take the revolution to the next stages of "evolution" is that "Joe" hasn't changed at all. He remains a committed revolutionary now as in the past. The man is not a Catholic.

This article serves as something of a follow-up to the article posted yesterday, Just About To Complete A Long March Into Oblivion.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Finally, although there has been one non-tax-deductible gift sent via the snail mail and another two that have arrived via PayPal since the Donations page was updated eight days ago now, the response has been very disappointing. Sure, probably predictably so. However, we need assistance now. There must be some readers of this site who agree with the articles posted hereon and who have the means to send a five or ten dollar non-tax-deductible financial gift. I ask those readers to consider doing so to help us until an annual dispersal of pension funds, enough to pay bills in the month of May, is made two weeks from today. Thank you.

Just About To Complete A Long March Into Oblivion

As much time was spent in the past three days working on tax returns, I began to write to this article, which, though mostly new, does contain some material familiar to longtime readers of this site, at a very, very hour last evening.

This new article reviews the Society of Saint Pius X's final steps along the path to being part of what its Superior General, Bishop Bernard Fellay, himself once called the "conciliar zoo." Alas, this is only the logical outcome of what has been underway since Bishop Fellay met with the false "pontiff," Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI on August 29, 2005, the Feast of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist. Perhaps more to the point, of course, is the simple truth that Bishop Fellay's having now "signed on the dotted line," albeit with a few "modifications," is but the logical result o the Society's own false ecclesiology that has been as harmful to a true understanding of the papacy and the nature of Holy Mother Church as the "new ecclesiology" of concilairism itself.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Tomorrow's article will examine "religious liberty" once again.

Chopped Liver No More

Well, it is now after three o'clock on the morning on Low Sunday. I am afraid that there is not enough left "in the tank" except to state that this is a follow-up to an article written sixty-three months ago now. Yes, I have finally made the Southern Poverty Law Center's "hate group" watch list of "radical traditional Catholics." Since when does one person constitute a "group"? This article explains how I came across my new distinction, which I share with many of my fellow Catholics, including those who are located elsewhere along the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide.

No, the ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ do not care very much about that ecclesiastical divide. It is enough for them that we believe in the Faith of our Fathers that has been eviscerate by their willing servants in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. We may all be sharing jail cells one day simply for being Catholic.

Deo gratias!

A blessed Low Sunday to you all.

Oh, yes, I posted a new Donations letter four days ago now. This has become a matter of great urgency. We need your help. Now. Today. Thank you!

Witnessing Naturalism's Many Triumphs

Just More Conciliar Incongruities

This is, I hope and pray, the last time I write about the insanity of conciliar officials seeking to oppose the Obama administration's mandate that all employers provide coverage for contraception and "family planning" services to their employees. There's just not much more that can be written.

Speaking of not much more to be written, tomorrow's article will be a wrap-up of the circus of the midget naturalists that the presidential aspirants of the false opposite of the naturalist "right" that has been won, at least for all intents and purposes, by the former Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Willard Mitt Romney. There won't be much more to write on that subject until the debates in six months as the next article will explain how things will play out between now and then.

April 11 Update

Although I had hoped to have another new article posted today, the late hours kept the last two days have taken their toll. Thus it is that the next article will not be posted until tomorrow, although there is a slight possibility that one could be posted later today.

Finally, the Donations page has been updated for the first time in over two months. The update is self-explanatory.

We are very grateful to those who provided us with unexpected non-tax-deductible financial gifts prior to Easter. These gifts made possible the payment of many essential monthly bills. There is still a slight shortfall, however, which is why the fund-raising appeal letter has been updated. We thank those who have given to us recently. Victimized By His Own Revolution

The conciliar revolutionaries seem to be particularly aggressive in promoting and defending their false religion during Holy Week. This should not surprise us as their revolution is from the devil and has set even believing Catholics against one another needlessly as "conservative" and traditionally-minded Catholics in the conciliar structures alternately ignore, defend or "sift" through the apostasies, blasphemies of conciliarism in order to "find" their "true" meaning and how they can be "reconciled" with the perennial teaching of Holy Mother Church. As well, of course, "ultra-progressives" in the conciliar structures believe that the "true" meaning of the "Second" Vatican Council has been impeded by one of the very men who initiated the conciliar revolution in which they were incubated, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. It always happens. Revolutions eat their own. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has become a victim of his own revolution because he, rejecting Scholasticism, has a mind that seems unable to grasp the law of unintended consequences. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

As, quite of course, many readers did not have their computers turned on last week, I did post three original articles last week that might be of interest to those who did not read them when they were posted. They are: Who Grieves For Our Lord and His Most Blessed Mother?, Caesar Obamus Plays By One Set Of Rules--His and Memo to Eric Holder: There Is No Affirmative Action Program In Heaven.

Planting Seeds of Revolutionary Change

No, this is not part two of Ratzinger's Revolution Unravels. You will have to await until tomorrow for that article.

This article is something of a follow-up to last week's Forty-Three Years After Humanae Vitae and Always Trying To Find A Way. It is another pretty lengthy essay, exploring just several ways in which Modernists, cloaking themselves with care in various artfully crafted nuances, helped to plant the seeds for revolutionary change at the "Second" Vatican Council, which did not just "happen" overnight. These Modernists wrote with the protection of influential cardinals and bishops in more than a few instances, and these prelates were more than happy to issue imprimaturs to advance an agenda under the names of authors that they could not advanced very openly on their own until after the death of Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958.

Republished: In the Company of Jesus

Today, the Seventh Sunday after Pentecost, is also the Feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. Saint Ignatius laid down his military armor in front of an image of Our Lady in the Benedictine monastery in Montserrat, Spain, on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, 1522, becoming a soldier in the army of Christ the King. Saint Ignatius of Loyola was always in the "company of Jesus," always seeking to advance the cause of the Holy Faith.

Saint Ignatius of Loyola attracted men of character and determination of purpose right from the beginning, men who were serious about retarding the advances of the Protestant Revolution and seeking the conversion of pagans in far away lands. The devil hated this good work of the Society of Jesus, which he why he sought to corrupt the sons of Saint Ignatius in the Twentieth Century by means of the various propositions of Modernism. We need to pray to Saint Ignatius and his company of Jesuit saints in Heaven, each of whom was so tenderly devoted to the Mother of God, to help us to be as brave and faithful and gallant as they were in defending the Sacred Honor of Christ the King and of Mary our Immaculate Queen. Our Lady of the Society of Jesus, pray for us. Saint Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.

Part two of yesterday's article will appear tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Peter's Chains and the Commemoration of the Holy Machabees, whose relics are to be found the the Church of Saint Peter in Chains in Rome, Italy. Work was completed yesterday on a long article that is being sent for review for posting on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, the Feast of Saint Alphonsus de Liguori. Work also proceeds on several other articles that should appear in the coming week.

Nothing in the post office box yesterday. Or the day before. Or the day before that. We received three envelopes from readers of this site this week, including a privately solicited non-tax-deductible financial gift. Always Trying To Find A Way

Although I will be writing a longer piece to deal with the many ways the bishops have sought to water down the Faith on certain points of doctrine even as early as the Nineteenth Century, this is a very brief follow-up to Monday's article, focusing on the origin of the phrase "natural family planning" that has become so widely accepted in Catholic circles. There are also a few other points of minor amplification. Short articles are what I can offer you for the time being.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Pantaleon, pray for us.

Evening update: There will be no article published tomorrow. There will be one for Friday, July 29, 2011, the Feast of Saint Martha. It will focus on the unraveling of the revolution that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI helped to instigate, finding it now difficult to harness the revolutionary forces that he unleashed. The study of the American bishops of yore and their immersion in all things American as they watered down the expression of the Holy Father on some matters will be published on Monday. It will not be as long as Monday's article. It will not be as short as today's.

Finally, you will notice that the Donations page is prefaced with a brief update as the response has been insufficient thus far to meet the expenses itemized. Lots of people have read the page, it appears. We pray that more who have read the page will respond with a non-tax-deductible financial gift. Thank you.

Forty-Three Years After Humanae Vitae

Today, on which we observe the Feast of Saint James the Greater, a son of Zebedee and Salome, who was present at the foot of the Holy Cross with her other son, Saint John the Evangelist, is the forty-third anniversary of the issuance of Humanae Vitae by Giovanni Montini/Paul VI.

Far from being an "orthodox" statement of the Catholic Faith, Humanae Vitae was a revolutionary document that inverted the ends of marriage, begetting, if you will, the cottage industry that is known today as "natural family planning," something that was not taught at any time in the history of the Catholic Church, no, not even by Pope Pius XII in his October 29, 1951, Address to Midwives on the Nature of Their Profession.

The purpose of this study, which has taken up a considerable amount of time in the last few weeks and has been vetted rather extensively by numerous individuals, including several priests, has several parts:

First, to demonstrate that the mindset of "family planning" is alien to the Catholic Faith.

Second, to study the meaning of Pope Pius XII's 1951 address from a review of the pertinent passages therein and from a consideration of how that was considered by some of commentaries made about it in the 1950s, focusing on two in particular.

Third, an examination of the revolutionary nature of Humanae Vitae and its reliance upon the personalist philosophy of Dietrich von Hildebrand and Father Herbert Doms, explaining how that philosophy had been condemned by the Holy Office in 1944, a condemnation that was reiterated by Pope Pius XII in his Address to Midwives on the Nature of Their Profession.

Fourth, an exploration of how the adversary used Humanae Vitae to propagate a belief in "family planning" while at the same time rallying "conservative" and "traditionally-minded" Catholics around the "pope" as he was attacked by "dissenters" who had been waiting for him to endorse contraception.

Fifth, a discussion of how it is not "impossible" for couples to observe complete marital abstinence, drawing from the very words of Pope Pius XII's 1951 address, in certain situations where this might be necessary or advisable.

What is outside of the scope of this study, which has gone through many revisions as it has undergone the vetting process, is any discussion of the issue of moral culpability on the part of those who have advised on this matter that they can licitly practice what is called "natural family planning." Although I completed all of the seminary coursework in moral theology necessary for priestly ordination, I am neither a pastor of souls or a moral theologian. Father Gerard Rusak of the Society of Saint Pius X has written what I believe to be a fine explication of the moral fault involved in the use of the rhythm method without the presence of the grave conditions outlined by Pope Pius XII in 1951 (see Natural Family Planning) that I found online Saturday evening. It is simply not the purpose of my study to delve into the matter as Catholics must rely upon their shepherds to guide them.

The purpose of this study can be summarized as follows: to explain that the term "natural family planning" has no relationship to anything that has ever been taught by the Catholic Church at any point in her history.

We can become so used to the proliferation of certain terms, my good and very few readers, that it is very easy to unthinkingly use the adversary's language in an effort to describe the teaching of the Catholic Church. We must avoid doing so. Precision of language is vital. We must not make the tragic mistake of adding the word "natural" to the words "family planning" as this cedes the linguistic "high ground" to the whole concept of the "family planning" movement that began in earnest in 1915 with the establishment of the National Birth Control League by Mary Coffin Ware Dennett and, of course, in 1917 under Margaret Sanger and her Birth Control Review, which became the foundation in 1921 of the American Birth Control League, the forerunner of what is known today as Planned Parenthood. Much confusion and unnecessary conflict can be generated by a imprecision of language.

One of those who reviewed this study is the Director of the U.S. Coalition for Life, Mrs. Randy Engel, one of the greatest and most diligent researchers of our time. Mrs. Engel was kind enough to offer the following comments for publication on this site:

Having spent the last six months working on a similar article on the ill-fated Vatican Birth Control Commission of 1963-1966, I was very happy to see this well-documented report on how the very concept of so-called “natural family planning,” much less its practice, is alien to traditional Catholicism.

In any war, words are weapons. By institutionalizing the term “NFP” the post-Conciliar Church has shot itself in the foot… actually both feet. “Family planning” is an anti-life term which means that a woman has the power to decide how many children a woman shall have and when she shall have them …. Never mind that God is the Lord and Giver of Life. Its incorporation in the term “natural family planning” has been huge propaganda plus for the enemies of God.

Nature does indeed have a plan for human procreation but it is of a different species than “NFP.” Nature favors youth in the matter of childbearing. The Church has, in the past, encouraged young large families using breastfeeding as a natural spacer. The first order of business of a married couple is to establish one’s fertility, not to practice family limitation or postpone having a child. This is absolutely necessary given the increase in sterility of married couples. Cana and pre-Cana classes need to stress these points …. Not promote “NFP” as a “way of life.”

Dr. Tom Droleskey has done a positive service for the Church with this scholarly work. Randy Engel, Director, U.S. Coalition for Life.

I thank Mrs. Engel for her comments, expressing my gratitude to her for all of the wonderful work she has done in behalf of Catholic truth on matters of family life and education. I look forward to the publication of her own commentary.

Another reviewer who has offered comments for publication is the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, Father Louis Campbell, who was ordained as a member of the Order of Saint Augustine in Nova Scotia, Canada, on September 3, 1961 before leaving in the 1990s to teach at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, first in Elmhurst, Pennsylvania, and then in Denton, Nebraska, consequently becoming convinced that Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II was not a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. He has been in Texas for the past ten years, and we have always enjoyed assisting at his offerings of Holy Mass. Here are Father Campbell's remarks:

You have done us all a great service in demonstrating very clearly that we must return to the sound teachings of Pope Pius XII concerning the true ends of marriage. The deception and confusion caused by the Margaret Sangers and the false teachers of the ‘Vatican II’ Revolution have taken their toll, even among those who claim to hold to the Church’s traditional teachings. We have yet to see the full consequences of their evil plotting.

The countries of Europe have sealed their doom because of the virtually universal use of contraception and ‘family planning’ in the European countries. I have read that their birthrates have declined beyond the point of no return, so that they will be unable to sustain their languages and cultures, and such vestiges of Christianity that still remain. Strangers speaking different languages, and of a culture and religion foreign to Europe are already invading, and there will be a violent struggle. Unless God sees fit to intervene European civilization is about to fall. The Vatican and many beloved Christian churches and shrines of Europe will be destroyed.

Unfortunately, we must say the same for the United States and Canada. They will not be able to remain as they are. There will be invasions, violence and bloodshed, and our beloved countries will never be the same again. May God protect us!

I have to admit that I have not totally escaped the general confusion that still affects the whole Novus Ordo scene. I was a part of it, so I took for granted much of its erroneous thinking and teaching. But, thanks be to God, I returned to the Traditional Latin Mass, or at least a facsimile of in the Fraternity of St. Peter for five years, until ten years ago I was invited down to St. Jude’s Shrine. And I have come back to the more traditional teachings of the true Church concerning marriage. When I prepare young couples for marriage I do teach them that God decides how few or how many children they will have, as well as whatever else is necessary for their marriage.

Father Campbell, whose weekly sermons are gems of the Faith, had the humility to recognize that he had been drawn into the erroneous thinking and teaching of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. We must pray for that same humility to admit whenever we have permeated the slogans of the day to convince us to attach an anti-family life slogan such as "natural family planning" to the teaching of the Catholic Church. As one who used this term for a long term without seeing the dangers inherent in it (or the method itself--out of "loyalty" to Paul VI, you understand), I am grateful for the prayers and instructions of others who corrected my own quite erroneous ways.

This study is only that, a study. Nothing else It is subject to whatever criticism or comment that readers desire to offer. I will not, however, have time to respond to much in the way of correspondence. I will, though, write a follow-up article on whatever reaction is generated (do you think there will be any?) when a sufficient amount of time has passed (and when I have recovered from the writing of this piece!).

Although I stated in the text of the current article that there would be a follow-up article on the Modernist trends at work in the Catholic Church in the United States of America prior to the "Second" Vatican Council by tomorrow, Tuesday, the Feast of Saint Anne, I am exhausted. I am going to take a few days off, if you don't mind.

Let us pray an extra Rosary today, the Feast of Saint James the Greater, for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal, remembering also the needs and intentions of our fellow Catholics no matter they are to be found in the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide as we seek by our Rosaries and sacrifices and voluntary penances to build up the Mystical Body of Christ on earth, the Church Militant, pledging our hearts as always to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint James the Greater, pray for us. Help us to stay awake in vigilant prayer before Our Lord's Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament so that we can be transfigured in glory in Heaven for all eternity.

Saint Christopher, pray for us. May you, once so completely devoted to the devil when you were named Reprobos, help us to carry Christ the King within our minds, hearts and souls as you carried Him across the raging waters.

Thoughts to Ponder...

"America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance. It is not. It is suffering from tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broadminded....

"...In the face of this broadmindedness, what the world needs is intolerance."

(Fulton Sheen's "A Plea for Intolerance," 1931)

Memo to President Obama from Pope Pius XI:

"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 30, 1930.)

"The whole world is dividing itself into progressives and conservatives. The job of the progressives is to go on making mistakes. The job of the conservatives is to prevent those mistakes from being corrected." Gilbert Keith Chesterton, April 19, 1924

"Know this: it is by very little breaches of regularity that the devil succeeds in introducing the greatest abuses. May you never end up saying: 'This is nothing, this is an exaggeration.'" (Saint Teresa of Avila, Foundations, Chapter Twenty-nine)

"I would give up my life a thousand times, not only for each of the truths of Sacred Scripture, but even more for the least of the ceremonies of the Catholic Church."  (Saint Teresa of Avila, Life, Thirty-three, 3.)
