Two Hearts, One Result: Peace

by Thomas A. Droleskey

War is a chastisement for the sins of men. Can anyone doubt that we are living in a time of constant chastisement? Look at just some of the sobering facts of the world at present in which we live.

Spiritual warfare is being waged against the entire patrimony of the Catholic Church by Modernist revolutionaries posing as Catholics in the cornerstone of the One World Church that is the counterfeit church of conciliarism. This spiritual warfare involves an abominable form of "worship" that offends God and harms the souls for whom He shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross. It also involves the propagation of "approved" conciliar doctrinal novelties (the new ecclesiology, ecumenism, religious liberty, episcopal collegiality, the evolution of dogma, the separation of Church and State) as well as the "unofficial" recognition and promotion of various false theologies (universal salvation, Modernist Scripture exegesis, evolutionism) and the various "unapproved" theological opinions emanating from chancery offices and institutions of conciliar "education" and parish pulpits (denials of Original Sin, the historicity and inerrancy of the Bible, the actual, Bodily Resurrection of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady's Assumption body and soul into Heaven and the promotion of contraception, abortion, perversion) and the universal warfare throughout conciliarism against the innocence and purity of the young by means of explicit classroom instruction in matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments. This spiritual warfare is unrelenting. Indeed, it is part of the apostasy spoken of by Our Lady in the actual Third Secret of Fatima, as Mario Luigi Cardinal Ciappi, O.P., is quoted as saying in Father Paul Kramer's The Devil's Final Battle:

In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top. (The Devil's Final Battle, p. 33.)

The spiritual warfare that has been waged relentlessly by the devil's minions in the counterfeit church of conciliarism has made it easier for Catholics to participate in the cultural warfare that has been unleashed by the organized forces of naturalism (read: Judeo-Masonry) in the past three hundred years and the never-ending downward spiral of evil consequences emanating from the Protestant Revolt for nearly half a millennium. Indeed, the senses of our bodies and souls are assaulted each and every day by a variety of demonic forces.

So-called "music" bombards us in grocery stores and at gasoline pumps (where we are now paying extortionist prices for a natural resource of the earth) and in other places of business, especially in restaurants.

Actual physical warfare is waged against the innocent preborn, starting in our neighborhood pharmacies, where pills and devices are dispensed that kill innocent preborn babies. The government of the United States of America funds this warfare. So do most insurance companies.

Actual physical warfare is waged against the innocent preborn in abortuaries across the nation and the world. The government of the United States of America funds this warfare in certain "hard" cases. Some state governments fund it on almost unlimited basis.

Spiritual and physical warfare are waged against the souls of the young in the concentration camps known as public schools. This warfare is continued in institutions of so-called "higher education." Taxpayer dollars subsidize this warfare.

Spiritual and physical warfare are being waged by the anti-Catholic "entertainment" media, which have captured the minds of billions of souls around the world, making them passive prisoners to blasphemy, pornography, ideology and mind-numbing brainwashing.

Spiritual and physical warfare is being waged by the grubber robber barons of Calvinist capitalism, men and women who poison our food supply with a variety of carcinogenic and fat-producing preservatives and additives and who charge usurious rates of interest to indenture large segments of the population to their corporations for decades on end, appealing to the ignorance cultivated in public schools and the mass media by means of cleverly-devised psychological appeals through the medium of commercial advertising.

The world at present in which we live, therefore, shows itself to be at war with God as He has revealed Himself exclusively through the Catholic Church that He founded upon the Rock of Saint Peter, the Pope. A world at war with God by means of the promotion, both under cover of civil law and in every aspect of popular culture, of the very thing, sin, that caused Him to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death and that caused His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be thrust through and through with Seven Swords of Sorrow will never know peace. For true peace is more than the absence of armed conflict within and among nations. True peace is not of this world. It is the peace of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that is produced in souls that are in states of Sanctifying Grace and are therefore at peace with the Blessed Trinity.

The absence of such peace at present should not surprise us. There have been, as noted above, forces at work in the world that have been warring against the Divine Plan that God Himself has instituted to effect man's return to Him through the Catholic Church for the better part of six hundred years, starting with the pagan, naturalistic, humanistic Renaissance at the end of the Fourteenth Century into the beginning of the Fifteenth Century. Conciliarism's apostasies have deceived millions while its liturgical novelties have deprived millions of the Sanctifying Graces that they need to recognize the spiritual warfare being waged on many fronts and the necessity of enlisting in Our Lady's Fatima army to fight the good fight of the Catholic Faith.

Following the appearance of the Angel of Fatima, who was none other than Saint Michael the Archangel, to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and their cousin Lucia dos Santos in 1916, Our Lady appeared to these three illiterate shepherd children on this very date ninety years ago, that is, on May 13, 1917. There was a physical war going on at the time, what we have called since 1939 World War I (called the World War or the Great War from 1914 until 1939), waged by national leaders who thought that war would be a way to "engineer" a better world. American President Thomas Woodrow Wilson propagandized in behalf of this country's entry into World War I by claiming that the world had be made "safe for democracy," the same sort of mindless, American-centric propaganda that is being advanced by the likes of men such as George Walker Bush and Richard N. Cheney in Iraq, where the attempt at American "social engineering" as part of a "global war" on "terrorism" has failed as completely as World War I did to produce "peace" and "democracy" in Europe and North Africa and the Middle East and Asia.

Pope Pius XI noted this in his first encyclical letter, Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922, explaining that the very spiritual warfare going on at the present time was responsible for World War I and for its horrible aftermath:

Peace indeed was signed in solemn conclave between the belligerents of the late War. This peace, however, was only written into treaties. It was not received into the hearts of men, who still cherish the desire to fight one another and to continue to menace in a most serious manner the quiet and stability of civil society. Unfortunately the law of violence held sway so long that it has weakened and almost obliterated all traces of those natural feelings of love and mercy which the law of Christian charity has done so much to encourage. Nor has this illusory peace, written only on paper, served as yet to reawaken similar noble sentiments in the souls of men. On the contrary, there has been born a spirit of violence and of hatred which, because it has been indulged in for so long, has become almost second nature in many men. There has followed the blind rule of the inferior parts of the soul over the superior, that rule of the lower elements "fighting against the law of the mind," which St. Paul grieved over. (Rom. vii, 23)

Men today do not act as Christians, as brothers, but as strangers, and even enemies. The sense of man's personal dignity and of the value of human life has been lost in the brutal domination begotten of might and mere superiority in numbers. Many are intent on exploiting their neighbors solely for the purpose of enjoying more fully and on a larger scale the goods of this world. But they err grievously who have turned to the acquisition of material and temporal possessions and are forgetful of eternal and spiritual things, to the possession of which Jesus, Our Redeemer, by means of the Church, His living interpreter, calls mankind.

It is in the very nature of material objects that an inordinate desire for them becomes the root of every evil, of every discord, and in particular, of a lowering of the moral sense. On the one hand, things which are naturally base and vile can never give rise to noble aspirations in the human heart which was created by and for God alone and is restless until it finds repose in Him. On the other hand, material goods (and in this they differ greatly from those of the spirit which the more of them we possess the more remain to be acquired) the more they are divided among men the less each one has and, by consequence, what one man has another cannot possibly possess unless it be forcibly taken away from the first. Such being the case, worldly possessions can never satisfy all in equal manner nor give rise to a spirit of universal contentment, but must become perforce a source of division among men and of vexation of spirit, as even the Wise Man Solomon experienced: "Vanity of vanities, and vexation of spirit." (Ecclesiastes i, 2, 14)

The same effects which result from these evils among individuals may likewise be expected among nations. "From whence are wars and contentions among you?" asks the Apostle St. James. "Are they not hence from your concupiscences, which war in your members?" (James iv, 1, 2)

The inordinate desire for pleasure, concupiscence of the flesh, sows the fatal seeds of division not only among families but likewise among states; the inordinate desire for possessions, concupiscence of the eyes, inevitably turns into class warfare and into social egotism; the inordinate desire to rule or to domineer over others, pride of life, soon becomes mere party or factional rivalries, manifesting itself in constant displays of conflicting ambitions and ending in open rebellion, in the crime of lese majeste, and even in national parricide.

These unsuppressed desires, this inordinate love of the things of the world, are precisely the source of all international misunderstandings and rivalries, despite the fact that oftentimes men dare to maintain that acts prompted by such motives are excusable and even justifiable because, forsooth, they were performed for reasons of state or of the public good, or out of love for country. Patriotism -- the stimulus of so many virtues and of so many noble acts of heroism when kept within the bounds of the law of Christ -- becomes merely an occasion, an added incentive to grave injustice when true love of country is debased to the condition of an extreme nationalism, when we forget that all men are our brothers and members of the same great human family, that other nations have an equal right with us both to life and to prosperity, that it is never lawful nor even wise, to dissociate morality from the affairs of practical life, that, in the last analysis, it is "justice which exalteth a nation: but sin maketh nations miserable." (Proverbs xiv, 34)

Perhaps the advantages to one's family, city, or nation obtained in some such way as this may well appear to be a wonderful and great victory (this thought has been already expressed by St. Augustine), but in the end it turns out to be a very shallow thing, something rather to inspire us with the most fearful apprehensions of approaching ruin. "It is a happiness which appears beautiful but is brittle as glass. We must ever be on guard lest with horror we see it broken into a thousand pieces at the first touch." (St. Augustine de Civitate Dei, Book iv, Chap. 3)

There is over and above the absence of peace and the evils attendant on this absence, another deeper and more profound cause for present-day conditions. This cause was even beginning to show its head before the War and the terrible calamities consequent on that cataclysm should have proven a remedy for them if mankind had only taken the trouble to understand the real meaning of those terrible events. In the Holy Scriptures we read: "They that have forsaken the Lord, shall be consumed." (Isaias i, 28) No less well known are the words of the Divine Teacher, Jesus Christ, Who said: "Without me you can do nothing" (John xv, 5) and again, "He that gathereth not with me, scattereth." (Luke xi, 23)

These words of the Holy Bible have been fulfilled and are now at this very moment being fulfilled before our very eyes. Because men have forsaken God and Jesus Christ, they have sunk to the depths of evil. They waste their energies and consume their time and efforts in vain sterile attempts to find a remedy for these ills, but without even being successful in saving what little remains from the existing ruin. It was a quite general desire that both our laws and our governments should exist without recognizing God or Jesus Christ, on the theory that all authority comes from men, not from God. Because of such an assumption, these theorists fell very short of being able to bestow upon law not only those sanctions which it must possess but also that secure basis for the supreme criterion of justice which even a pagan philosopher like Cicero saw clearly could not be derived except from the divine law.

Men who reject the Social Kingship of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ never learn from history. Indeed, they believe that they are immune to past mistakes, arrogating unto themselves an air of infallibility and invincibility that deifies their every decision as beyond criticism. Woodrow Wilson did this during World War I, attempting to silence critics with a variety of unjust and even unconstitutional laws and policies that prompted Senator Hiram Johnson (R-California) to remark in 1917:

"It is now a crime for anyone to say anything or print anything against the government of the United States. The punishment for doing so is to go to jail."  (quoted in Paul Johnson, A History of the American People.)

Hiram Johnson also noted that "the first casualty when war comes, is truth," an observation that is certainly applicable today as the Bush administration keeps sending American military personnel into the midst of a civil war between various bands of Mohammedans that has no relationship to American national security whatsoever.

A power vacuum in Iraq was created by the insane dreamers who overthrew a despotic thug without realizing that other despots would replace him by means of the ballot box to seek revenge upon the supporters of the now-hanged thug (Saddam Hussein). Borders that were closed tight to Shiite and al-Qaeda operatives have been blow wide open. Thousands upon thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians have been killed by American bombs and by the carnage that has been unleashed as a result of the unjust American invasion and occupation. Iraq's infrastructure was destroyed and the efforts by American war profiteers, who have been paid by American taxpayer dollars, to reconstruct that infrastructure have been proved to be so shoddy that it is necessary to finance the reconstruction of the reconstruction in many instances. Basic services such as electricity and water are hard to find in areas where they were once plentiful and easy available. Billions of dollars generated by Iraq's oil industry are missing, plundered by the new caste of leaders who are repeating Hussein's own crimes. Iraq's Catholics and members of the various Orthodox sects, both of whom were enjoyed great social mobility during the Hussein regime, are being persecuted with special ferocity that seems not to faze Bush and Cheney in the slightest. Oh, yes, "the first casualty when war comes, is truth." For war that is waged on the basis of the pursuit of the ever-illusory belief that man can forge "peace" and "order without submitting himself to the Deposit of Faith that Our Lord has entrusted solely to the Catholic Church and without having belief in, access to and cooperation with Sanctifying Grace is itself a monstrous lie that winds up worsening conditions and embittering the hearts of men.

Hiram Johnson's observation that "the first casualty when war comes, is truth" is applicable also to conciliarism's warfare against the authentic patrimony of the Catholic Church. Positivist statements are made to justify heresy and error and novelty and abominations as a false memory of the past is "created" in order to rob Catholics of their sensus Catholicus to such an extent that they will come to distrust their own Catholic senses in order to trust in the gnostic experts of the revolution who have "secret knowledge" that is lacking to mere mortals. The entirety of Our Lady's Fatima Message, including the Third Secret of Fatima, has been deconstructed and distorted by the conciliarists so that Catholics will pay little heed to Our Lady's Fatima requests and so that they will be kept in the dark about the fact the Third Secret of Fatima was indeed entirely about apostasy in the highest quarters of the Church. (See Father Paul Kramer's The Devil's Final Battle; a summary of the conciliar Vatican efforts to deconstruct the Fatima Message is provided by Mr. John Vennari, editor of Catholic Family News, in "The Fourth Secret of Fatima.") Those who have waged violent and unremitting warfare against the Catholic Faith must wage warfare against the Mother of God and the message she entrusted to the Fatima seers.

One of the reasons that warfare against the Fatima Message has been waged so relentlessly by the conciliar its, who are insisting up to this very day, the ninetieth anniversary of the first Fatima apparition, that there are "no more secrets" to be revealed (see: Fatima: The Secret's Out), is that the Fatima Message not only shows the conciliarists to be apostates whose warfare against the Faith was prophesied by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself. The Fatima Message is an impediment to ecumenism, especially with the Orthodox as enshrined in the principles of Balamand Agreement, June 17-24, 1993, (see: Full Text of the Balamand Statement) which forbids Catholics from seeking converts to the Faith from Orthodoxy (a series of heretical and schismatic sects that deny that Original Sin is transmitted onto the souls of babies, denying also the Filioque, Papal primacy and Papal infallibility, Purgatory, the Immaculate Conception and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the indissolubility of a ratified and consummated sacramental marriage, each of which is an article of the Faith that no one is free to reject and consider himself a member of the true Church of Christ that is the Catholic Church). Here are two brief excerpts from the Balamand Agreement:

22) Pastoral activity in the Catholic Church, Latin as well as Eastern, no longer aims at having the faithful of one Church pass over to the other; that is to say, it no longer aims at proselytizing among the Orthodox. It aims at answering the spiritual needs of its own faithful and it has no desire for expansion at the expense of the Orthodox Church. Within these perspectives, so that there will no longer be room for mistrust and suspicion, it is necessary that there be reciprocal exchanges of information about various pastoral projects and that thus cooperation between bishops and all those with responsibilities in our Churches can be set in motion and develop.

23) The history of the relations between the Orthodox Church and the Eastern Catholic Churches has been marked by persecutions and sufferings. Whatever may have been these sufferings and their causes, they do not justify any triumphalism; no one can glory in them or draw an argument from them to accuse or disparage the other Church. God alone knows His own witnesses. Whatever the past may have been, it must be left to the mercy of God, and all the energies of the Churches should be directed so that the present and the future conform better to the will of Christ for His own.

In other words, ladies and gentlemen, the Orthodox sects are equal to the Catholic Church, meaning that poor Saint Josaphat was wrong to have sought converts out of Orthodoxy in the early Seventeenth Century, thus making it easy to understand why the incorrupt body of this martyr, who was killed by the Orthodox, thank you, was removed from the right transept of the Basilica of Saint Peter and replaced with the artificially preserved body of the Rosicrucian named Angelo Roncalli, who championed the Metz Agreement with the Russian Orthodox Church in August of 1962 that purchased silence on the evils of Marxism-Leninism (Communism) from the counterfeit church of conciliarism in exchange for the presence of two Russian Orthodox observers from the schismatic and heretical Russian Orthodox Church at the "Second" Vatican Council  Our Lady said at Fatima that Russia would continue to spread her errors if it was not consecrated to her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. The errors of Russia are not only Marxism-Leninism. They involve first and foremost the errors of Orthodoxy, many of which paved the way for Protestantism, including the denial of Papal primacy and the subordination of the Church to the civil State. The conciliar revolutionaries cannot afford to have these little facts discussed publicly. They must be buried by means of the deconstruction and distortion of the Fatima Message.

We know that the Reign of Mary that will be ushered in by the Triumph of her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart will be one of authentic peace, that of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The path to the peace that flows from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus runs through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, out of which that same Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was formed in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb. The devil does not want souls to know this true peace. He does not want nations to prosper under this true peace. The adversary must thus wage battle by using his minions in the world and in the conciliar structures to do everything possible to convince men that they can know peace absent their unconditional conversion to the Catholic Faith and absent the unconditional restoration of Christendom, that is, the Social Reign of Christ the King, in each and every nation in the world. It is this diabolical view that unites the scions of Modernity in the world and of Modernism in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Totally consecrated slaves of Mary offer themselves to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through His Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart. These two Hearts suffered as one during Our Lord's Passion and Death. They beat as one in Heaven. The Immaculate Heart of Our Lady is meant to fill us with the peace and the mercy that flows from the Most Sacred Heart of her Divine Son. This and this alone is the path to true peace in the souls of men and thus within and among nations.

Pope Pius XI, the great champion of the Social Reign of Christ the King, sounded a similar theme in Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio:

There exists an institution able to safeguard the sanctity of the law of nations. This institution is a part of every nation; at the same time it is above all nations. She enjoys, too, the highest authority, the fullness of the teaching power of the Apostles. Such an institution is the Church of Christ. She alone is adapted to do this great work, for she is not only divinely commissioned to lead mankind, but moreover, because of her very make-up and the constitution which she possesses, by reason of her age-old traditions and her great prestige, which has not been lessened but has been greatly increased since the close of the War, cannot but succeed in such a venture where others assuredly will fail.

It is apparent from these considerations that true peace, the peace of Christ, is impossible unless we are willing and ready to accept the fundamental principles of Christianity, unless we are willing to observe the teachings and obey the law of Christ, both in public and private life. If this were done, then society being placed at last on a sound foundation, the Church would be able, in the exercise of its divinely given ministry and by means of the teaching authority which results therefrom, to protect all the rights of God over men and nations.

It is possible to sum up all We have said in one word, "the Kingdom of Christ." For Jesus Christ reigns over the minds of individuals by His teachings, in their hearts by His love, in each one's life by the living according to His law and the imitating of His example. Jesus reigns over the family when it, modeled after the holy ideals of the sacrament of matrimony instituted by Christ, maintains unspotted its true character of sanctuary. In such a sanctuary of love, parental authority is fashioned after the authority of God, the Father, from Whom, as a matter of fact, it originates and after which even it is named. (Ephesians iii, 15) The obedience of the children imitates that of the Divine Child of Nazareth, and the whole family life is inspired by the sacred ideals of the Holy Family. Finally, Jesus Christ reigns over society when men recognize and reverence the sovereignty of Christ, when they accept the divine origin and control over all social forces, a recognition which is the basis of the right to command for those in authority and of the duty to obey for those who are subjects, a duty which cannot but ennoble all who live up to its demands. Christ reigns where the position in society which He Himself has assigned to His Church is recognized, for He bestowed on the Church the status and the constitution of a society which, by reason of the perfect ends which it is called upon to attain, must be held to be supreme in its own sphere; He also made her the depository and interpreter of His divine teachings, and, by consequence, the teacher and guide of every other society whatsoever, not of course in the sense that she should abstract in the least from their authority, each in its own sphere supreme, but that she should really perfect their authority, just as divine grace perfects human nature, and should give to them the assistance necessary for men to attain their true final end, eternal happiness, and by that very fact make them the more deserving and certain promoters of their happiness here below.

It is, therefore, a fact which cannot be questioned that the true peace of Christ can only exist in the Kingdom of Christ -- "the peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ." It is no less unquestionable that, in doing all we can to bring about the re-establishment of Christ's kingdom, we will be working most effectively toward a lasting world peace.

We must intensify our own devotion to Our Lady's Fatima Message on this ninetieth anniversary of her first apparition to Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia, praying her Most Holy Rosary with fervent love each and every day, keeping the devotion of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the five First Saturdays and pledging to promote Total Marian Consecration (to Jesus through Mary) according to the formula of Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort. Our Lady promised that her Immaculate Heart would triumph in the end. We must be united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, offering them our acts of love and reparation on a daily basis, hoping and praying that we must be some small instruments in planting the seeds for the restoration of the Church in all of her former glory (for the fullness of the Catholic Faith is expressed in Tradition and not in the revolutionary novelties of conciliarism, which is not Catholicism) and of a world where all hearts, at peace with God by means of being in states of Sanctifying Grace, will exclaim with love and with joy:

The Longer Version of the Saint Michael the Archangel Prayer, composed by Pope Leo XIII, 1888

O glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil.  Come to the aid of man, whom God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil.  Fight this day the battle of our Lord, together with  the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in heaven.  That cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels.  Behold this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage.  Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the Name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay, and cast into eternal perdition, souls destined for the crown of eternal glory.  That wicked dragon pours out. as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.  These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on Her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck the sheep may be scattered.  Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory.  They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious powers of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude.  Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church.  Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations.  Amen.

Verse: Behold the Cross of the Lord; be scattered ye hostile powers.

Response: The Lion of the Tribe of Juda has conquered the root of David.

Verse: Let Thy mercies be upon us, O Lord.

Response: As we have hoped in Thee.

Verse: O Lord hear my prayer.

Response: And let my cry come unto Thee.

Verse: Let us pray.  O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as suppliants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin, immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all other unclean spirits, who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of our souls.

Response:  Amen.
