Two Families in Alternate Worlds

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Do you realize that the surnames Bush or Clinton has appeared on the national tickets of the two major political parties in each election since 1980, a total of six presidential elections?

George Herbert Walker Bush, who came close to being chosen by President Leslie Lynch King, Jr. (otherwise known as Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr.) to being chosen instead of former New York Governor Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller as the nation's first appointed Vice President, appeared on the ballot in four successive national elections, twice as a vice presidential candidate and twice as a presidential candidate. His son, George Walker Bush has appeared on the ballot in two successive national elections.

William Jefferson Blyth Clinton appeared twice, once running against the elder Bush before being succeeding by the younger Bush. (And the Republican nominee in 1996, the haplessly inarticulate thirty-third degree Mason named Robert Joseph Dole, Jr., had run for vice president with Gerald Ford in 1976. His second wife, Senator Elizabeth Dole, now serves in the United States Senate, which is also home to the wife of the man who defeated him in 1996, Clinton.)  All indications at this time are that the presidential nominee of the Democrat Party in 2008 will be Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose actual election to the White House in November of 2008 has been made all the more probable by the gross malfeasance and utter stupidity of the man who succeeded her husband, the son of the man who her husband defeated in 1992. The line of succession with thus be: Reagan/Bush, Bush/Quayle, Clinton/Gore, Bush/Cheney, Clinton/unknown.

This is just an interesting little fact, demonstrating that for all of the appearance of "egalitarianism" we are governed mostly, with a few exceptions here and there, by elite ruling families whose grip on power just gets stronger with each passing election cycle. The drowning of Mary Jo Kopechne on Chappaquiddick Island on July 18, 1969, prevented the Kennedy family dynasty from becoming firmly established in American electoral cycles, although Senator Edward Moore Kennedy, second only in seniority in the United States Senate to Senate President Pro Tempore Robert Byrd (a former member of the Ku Klux Klan and a current Freemason in good standing), did dare to run for the Democrat Party nomination against James Earl Carter, Jr., in 1980 just eleven years after te Chappaquiddick incident (whose files will not be opened until the year 2019). For the foreseeable future, however, the United States of America appears that it will be governed by someone named Bush or Clinton. Although such prognostications are fraught with all manner of unpredictable variables, it is also possible that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's successor in the United States Senate, should she be elected in 2008, will be her husband, who would then join the only other impeached and acquitted President of the United States, Andrew Johnson, in returning to the legislative body that tried him after being impeached by the United States House of Representatives. Former President/Senator Bill Clinton would then keep the seat warm until the year 2012, at which point he would cede to daughter Chelsea, who turns thirty in the year 2010 and would be eligible to run for the Senate at the end of her mother's unexpired second term. Got all that?

What's the point of all of this? To frighten you? No. Actually, you see, there's no reason to be frightened about the electoral prospects of any naturalist in the organized crime families we call political parties here in the United States of America. With a few differences here and there, each of which is exaggerated by the naturalistic career politicians and the advocacy groups who engage in direct-mail fund-raising appeals to capitalize on these exaggerated differences, the naturalists in both of our organized crime families of partisan politics believe in pretty much the same thing and they create pretty much the same sort of alternate worlds that reaffirm them in times when the sober facts of reality accidentally pierce through their well-established defense mechanisms.

Look at some of the events that have been brought to us courtesy of the these two dynastic families, the Bushes and Clintons, in the past two decades and twisted by their spin-doctors to be something that they were not.

First, take the little matter of how the Bill and Hillary Clinton dealt with the accusations made by Gennifer Flowers in 1992. Hillary Clinton knew these charges to be true. However, she took the campaign line of "Trash for cash," which I first heard mouthed by Mandy Grunwald on some talking head program, perhaps Inside Politics on CNN. (Miss Grunwald is now the director of media campaign relations for Senator Clinton's presidential campaign.) Hillary Clinton created an alternate world where she played the injured wife defending her husband when the truth of the matter is that she was using Bill Clinton to get into the White House as First Lady so as to establish herself for her own run for that office at a later date. It was thus necessary to demean each of the women who had been used by her husband. The great champion of women, Hillary Rodham Clinton, has been a crusher of the women who were first used and then demeaned by her husband.

Second, it was shortly after William Jefferson Blyth Clinton took office in 1993 that there was talk of a Federal income tax increase. White House Press Secretary George Stephanapoulus, now an "impartial" talking head on some Sunday morning television program, said that Clinton would be calling for a increase in "voluntary taxpayer contributions." There is nothing voluntary about confiscatory taxation except in the alternate world of the naturalists who take money out of our pockets involuntarily in order to fund programs in direct contravention of the binding precepts of the Divine positive law and the natural law and that make it more possible for them, the naturalists and statists, to control more aspects of our daily lives.

Third, it was in the beginning of February of 1993 that Bill Clinton himself, the proto-spinner, appeared in a televised town-hall meeting in Detroit, Michigan. A Baptist "minister" asked Clinton about why he had raised the issue of, shall we say, the lavender crowd in the military. Clinton denied that he had raised it, saying that the Republicans had done so. A lie. Clinton raised the issue of perverts in the military almost immediately after his election on November 4, 1992.

Fourth, Clinton termed the effort of Republicans in late-1995 to merely reduce the rate of growth of Federal spending as an absolute cut in Federal spending, a bald-faced lie that even then spokeswoman Dee Dee Myers, one of the many Catholics to serve in the Clinton administration, said later was indefensible. Clinton said that his hapless fellow naturalists in the Republican Party wanted to starve children and kill the elderly and poison the environment. He won, too, if you will remember!

Fifth, all manner of inventive stories were told by the Clintons and their apologists about how hundreds of files of prominent Republicans kept by the Federal Bureau of Investigation wound up in the White House back in 1993.

Sixth, Clinton said that it was necessary to bomb Iraq the day before the United States House of Representatives was scheduled to vote on his impeachment in December of 1998, postponing the vote for a day. He had used this "wag the dog" scenario in August of 1998 the day after Monica Lewinsky recanted her earlier denials of any improper relationship with him. Nothing like a few bombs to create an alternate world for yourself.

Seventh, Clinton and then Vice President Albert Arnold Gore, Jr., stonewalled better than the late John Mitchell, who never uttered a word about Watergate or Richard Nixon despite being sent to Federal prison, when the matter of illegal campaign contributions from Red Chinese arms merchants was revealed or when the selling of White House "sleepovers" in exchange for campaign contributions made the light of the day. Everyone remained standing in the Clinton universe thereafter.

Eighth, who has time for anything else (Whitewater, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broderick, the bogus reasons for American involvement in  Bosnia and the placement of our troops under the command of the United Nations, the deliberate falsification of the numbers of babies killed by means of partial-birth abortion each year, et cetera, et cetera)?

Bill Clinton lives in a world of lies and becomes belligerent when questioned about them. Hillary Clinton is a little more sophisticated, having learned, according to Dr. William Coulson at a Wanderer Forum in Seattle, Washington, in May of 1995, how to handle "reality" by means of the approach of the late Dr. Carl Ransom Rogers, a "humanistic" psychologist who taught people how to be "comfortable" with their perceptions of themselves and the world. Dr. Coulson, who was a disciple of the Rogerian method and, by his own admission in Latin Mass Magazine in the early-1990s, helped to destroy the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters by getting them to express their pent-up grievances against each other in "group sessions," said that one of Mrs, Clinton's answers in an interview about Whitewater was quintessentially Rogerian. Mrs. Clinton said that she was "very comfortable" with her actions in Whitewater (remember those billing records from her old Little Rock, Arkansas, law firm that wound up in the White House reading room?), which Dr. Coulson said was how someone conversation with Rogerian psychology deals with uncomfortable situations. You just make yourself comfortable.

As to George Walker Bush, where does on begin? His alternate universe includes considering himself "pro-life" even though he believes in the slicing and dicing of innocent babies in their mothers' wombs in certain circumstances under cover of law as a matter of principle, even though his administration is funding domestic and international "family planning" programs that chemically assassinate preborn children, even though his administration has done nothing to reverse the September, 2000, decision of the Food and Drug Administration to market the human pesticide, RU-486, even though he personally appointed people who are unconditionally pro-abortion to the highest levels of his administration and campaigns actively for completely pro-abortion politicians in his own political party. Oh, yes, George Walker Bush lives in an alternate world where one is considered to be "pro-life" because he uses the phrase, getting as much assistance from phony "leaders" in the "mainstream" "pro-life" establishment as the Clintons continue to receive in support of their own nefarious careers in naturalism.

George Walker Bush's alternate world extends most particularly to any fact that is brought to his attention that contradicts any of his assertions, starting with the simple truth that he assembled a bogus body of evidence to convince the American public to do something that his neoconservative appointees had been planning since the end of the Persian Gulf War: "regime change" in Iraq so as to make the Middle East "safer" for America's non-existent best "ally," the Zionist State of Israel.

Saddam Hussein, who was certainly a thug and a killer, had to be portrayed as the new "Hitler," capable of blowing up the world with his stockpile of "weapons of mass destruction" that actually had been destroyed in the 1990s. Bush's Zionist enablers, both in the ranks of Zionism and in the ranks of Protestant fundamentalists and talk show hosts who would rather die than utter any critical word about the policies of the State of Israel, spoke of Hussein's "link" to al-Qaeda, which any person knowledgeable about the Middle East knew was a a laughable assertion. A gangster never wants a rival gang in his territory. The alternate universe, however, had to be created in order to capitalize on the events of September 11, 2001, and to create an atmosphere favorable to war. There were even apologists for Karol Wojtyla, including George Weigel, who demonstrated a readiness to abandon Vatican opposition to to the pending American invasion of Iraq in order to help Bush construct his alternate universe in his "Global War on Terror," thereby placing Weigel in the "resist and recognize" camp, I suppose, at least on that issue.

Others, including a few traditionally-minded Catholics, saw the pending invasion of Iraq as a literal Christian crusade against Mohammedanism, "revenge" for the events of September 11, 2001, many aspects of which have never been explained adequately and about which substantial questions were raised in testimony given by former officials of the George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush administrations (especially as regards as steel-columnized buildings such as the World Trade Center could just collapse in a pancake manner upon themselves without internal explosives causing this to happen, leaving aside the fact that the government of Israel ordered all of their personnel to stay away from the building that day and that an Israeli film crew just happened to be filming directly across the Twin Towers in New Jersey). These Catholics continue to enable Bush, disregarding the fact that the unjust and immoral invasion of Iraq, which was premised upon verbal lies and manufactured evidence and the use of a sort of government power that would have made Vladimir Lenin proud, has placed in power believing Mohammedans (Hussein was a secularist concerned about his power and pleasure and wealth) who have made it almost impossible for Catholics in Iraq to continue to live there without fear of their lives. Oh, no, the alternate world created by Bush must be justified at all costs. You just have to overlook the little problem caused by the influx of al-Qaeda operatives into Iraq through the porous borders that were created as a result of the political instability introduced by the American invasion.

In George Walker Bush's alternate world the "liberation" of Iraq, while facing a few difficulties, is "vital" to American national security, which begs the following question: how can a country where over four thousand innocent human beings are put to death every day under cover of law and which exports the chemical assassinations of countless millions more children each year ever be made safe from attacks by infidels whom have more regard for the inviolability of its citizens' lives as it does for its own innocent preborn? How can a country which permits, in the name of "freedom of speech" and "freedom of press," the dissemination of pornography and "rock" music and the proliferation of indecent images and blasphemous sights and sounds in television programs and motion pictures not expect to feel the wrath of God in the form of foreign invasions from infidels and/or foreign barbarians, who are eager to take advantage of a decadent country's indigenous barbarians' self-indulgence to overtake it. I mean, what exactly happened to Rome in similar circumstances (excessive taxation, bloated bureaucracies, bread and circuses, needless foreign wars)? Wasn't it an invasion by not-so-nice barbarians who took advantage of the decadence of the "civilized" barbarians to put an end to Roman Empire in the West?

George W. Bush is actually helping to expedite that day in the United States of America by living in his own alternate world and claiming that American involvement in Mohammedan and sectional civil war in Iraq is vital to American national security. How more many Americans must die or be injured in this pursuit of this delusion? How many many Iraqis must die or be injured in the pursuit of this delusion. Innocent Iraqi men, women and children did not fly planes into buildings on September 11, 2001. How is killing them, whose conversion to the true Faith Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ desires with all of His Most Sacred Heart, "avenging" what took place on September 11, 2001, the full truth about which we may not know until the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead? Is it not more likely that God is going to avenge the blood of the innocent unborn and avenge the other sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance by permitting infidels and others to do us what our sins as a nation deserve?

Yes, every nation has the natural law right to defend the integrity of its borders. This is without question. It must do so, however, by moral means without sending its citizens needlessly into battles in foreign countries and bankrupting future generations of citizens by financing first the destruction and subsequent occupation of a nation with billions of taxpayer dollars before presiding over a civil war and attempting to rebuild that foreign nation with billions more of taxpayer dollars. A nation can defend its borders first and foremost by making sure that those who adhere to religions sworn to violence and bloodshed are not permitted to enter therein. I know, this is opposed to the American and conciliarist concept of "freedom of religion." How preconciliar of me to say such a thing.

Alas, this face of alternate worlds only changes a little bit when presidential administrations change. President Hillary Clinton will not withdraw the troops from Iraq. She will go to war with Iran if Bush does not do it before his term expires (and if he does not, imitating Senator Clinton's husband, do it just before the November 4, 2008, elections so as to have a reason for "postponing" same). The only thing that will change is that more and more power will be claimed by the state, making it more and more possible for the organized forces of naturalism, meaning, of course, Judeo-Masonry, to plot further adventures in the world and to have a virtual perpetual state of war, all in the name of "national security," something that would have made Leon Trotsky very happy indeed.

You see, ladies and gentlemen, no naturalist (and no conciliarist) will admit that the civil state's first obligation is to help to foster those conditions in which its citizens can best sanctify and save their souls as Catholics. No naturalist (and no conciliarist) will admit that the civil state must recognize the true Church and to recognize that she has the right, exercised judiciously as an absolute last resort following the discharge of her Indirect Power of teaching and preaching and exhortation, to interpose herself with civil officials if the good of souls demands such an intervention (as Pope Gregory XI in the Fourteenth Century when imposing an interdict upon Florence). No naturalist and no conciliarist will admit that these words of Pope Saint Pius X for the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King applies universally and eternally even in their own countries:

War is a punishment for sin. God sometimes specifically requested that war be waged, as He did frequently in the Old Testament. He told Saint Joan of Arc to take up arms to defend the rightful claims of the Dauphin, the future King Charles VII, and to expel the English from France. He ordered Alfonso Henriques to place His Five Wounds on the flag of Portugal and to wage a battle for Portugal's independence. Despite what George Walker Bush claims ("God told me, 'George, go into Iraq'"), God does not smile favorably upon lies and webs of deceit and the reckless disregard for innocent human life that has characterized the American bombing in Iraq and Afghanistan. Wars may be fought. As far as is humanly possible, however, the terms of the Just War Theory must be met and a just resolution to hostilities brought about as soon as is practicable.

No naturalist and no conciliarist will admit that these words of Pope Saint Pius X for the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King applies universally and eternally even in their own countries, that the only antidote to the madness of naturalism is Catholicism:

This, nevertheless, is what they want to do with human society; they dream of changing its natural and traditional foundations; they dream of a Future City built on different principles, and they dare to proclaim these more fruitful and more beneficial than the principles upon which the present Christian City rests.

No, Venerable Brethren, We must repeat with the utmost energy in these times of social and intellectual anarchy when everyone takes it upon himself to teach as a teacher and lawmaker - the City cannot be built otherwise than as God has built it; society cannot be setup unless the Church lays the foundations and supervises the work; no, civilization is not something yet to be found, nor is the New City to be built on hazy notions; it has been in existence and still is: it is Christian civilization, it is the Catholic City. It has only to be set up and restored continually against the unremitting attacks of insane dreamers, rebels and miscreants. omnia instaurare in Christo. (Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

Pope Leo XIII explained that the naturalism of the secular, religiously indifferentist state leads to a public life that is stained with crime:

God alone is Life. All other beings partake of life, but are not life. Christ, from all eternity and by His very nature, is "the Life," just as He is the Truth, because He is God of God. From Him, as from its most sacred source, all life pervades and ever will pervade creation. Whatever is, is by Him; whatever lives, lives by Him. For by the Word "all things were made; and without Him was made nothing that was made." This is true of the natural life; but, as We have sufficiently indicated above, we have a much higher and better life, won for us by Christ's mercy, that is to say, "the life of grace," whose happy consummation is "the life of glory," to which all our thoughts and actions ought to be directed. The whole object of Christian doctrine and morality is that "we being dead to sin, should live to justice" (I Peter ii., 24)-that is, to virtue and holiness. In this consists the moral life, with the certain hope of a happy eternity. This justice, in order to be advantageous to salvation, is nourished by Christian faith. "The just man liveth by faith" (Galatians iii., II). "Without faith it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews xi., 6). Consequently Jesus Christ, the creator and preserver of faith, also preserves and nourishes our moral life. This He does chiefly by the ministry of His Church. To Her, in His wise and merciful counsel, He has entrusted certain agencies which engender the supernatural life, protect it, and revive it if it should fail. This generative and conservative power of the virtues that make for salvation is therefore lost, whenever morality is dissociated from divine faith. A system of morality based exclusively on human reason robs man of his highest dignity and lowers him from the supernatural to the merely natural life. Not but that man is able by the right use of reason to know and to obey certain principles of the natural law. But though he should know them all and keep them inviolate through life-and even this is impossible without the aid of the grace of our Redeemer-still it is vain for anyone without faith to promise himself eternal salvation. "If anyone abide not in Me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up and cast him into the fire, and he burneth" john xv., 6). "He that believeth not shall be condemned" (Mark xvi., 16). We have but too much evidence of the value and result of a morality divorced from divine faith. How is it that, in spite of all the zeal for the welfare of the masses, nations are in such straits and even distress, and that the evil is daily on the increase? We are told that society is quite able to help itself; that it can flourish without the assistance of Christianity, and attain its end by its own unaided efforts. Public administrators prefer a purely secular system of government. All traces of the religion of our forefathers are daily disappearing from political life and administration. What blindness! Once the idea of the authority of God as the Judge of right and wrong is forgotten, law must necessarily lose its primary authority and justice must perish: and these are the two most powerful and most necessary bonds of society. Similarly, once the hope and expectation of eternal happiness is taken away, temporal goods will be greedily sought after. Every man will strive to secure the largest share for himself. Hence arise envy, jealousy, hatred. The consequences are conspiracy, anarchy, nihilism. There is neither peace abroad nor security at home. Public life is stained with crime.

So great is this struggle of the passions and so serious the dangers involved, that we must either anticipate ultimate ruin or seek for an efficient remedy. It is of course both right and necessary to punish malefactors, to educate the masses, and by legislation to prevent crime in every possible way: but all this is by no means sufficient. The salvation of the nations must be looked for higher. A power greater than human must be called in to teach men's hearts, awaken in them the sense of duty, and make them better. This is the power which once before saved the world from destruction when groaning under much more terrible evils. Once remove all impediments and allow the Christian spirit to revive and grow strong in a nation, and that nation will be healed. The strife between the classes and the masses will die away; mutual rights will be respected. If Christ be listened to, both rich and poor will do their duty. The former will realise that they must observe justice and charity, the latter self-restraint and moderation, if both are to be saved. Domestic life will be firmly established ( by the salutary fear of God as the Lawgiver. In the same way the precepts of the natural law, which dictates respect for lawful authority and obedience to the laws, will exercise their influence over the people. Seditions and conspiracies will cease. Wherever Christianity rules over all without let or hindrance there the order established by Divine Providence is preserved, and both security and prosperity are the happy result. The common welfare, then, urgently demands a return to Him from whom we should never have gone astray; to Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life,-and this on the part not only of individuals but of society as a whole. We must restore Christ to this His own rightful possession. All elements of the national life must be made to drink in the Life which proceedeth from Him- legislation, political institutions, education, marriage and family life, capital and labour. Everyone must see that the very growth of civilisation which is so ardently desired depends greatly upon this, since it is fed and grows not so much by material wealth and prosperity, as by the spiritual qualities of morality and virtue. (Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus, November 1, 1900)

Pope Pius XI reminded the world that there is only one kind of peace, that of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ:

Since the Church is the safe and sure guide to conscience, for to her safe-keeping alone there has been confided the doctrines and the promise of the assistance of Christ, she is able not only to bring about at the present hour a peace that is truly the peace of Christ, but can, better than any other agency which We know of, contribute greatly to the securing of the same peace for the future, to the making impossible of war in the future. For the Church teaches (she alone has been given by God the mandate and the right to teach with authority) that not only our acts as individuals but also as groups and as nations must conform to the eternal law of God. In fact, it is much more important that the acts of a nation follow God's law, since on the nation rests a much greater responsibility for the consequences of its acts than on the individual.

When, therefore, governments and nations follow in all their activities, whether they be national or international, the dictates of conscience grounded in the teachings, precepts, and example of Jesus Christ, and which are binding on each and every individual, then only can we have faith in one another's word and trust in the peaceful solution of the difficulties and controversies which may grow out of differences in point of view or from clash of interests. An attempt in this direction has already and is now being made; its results, however, are almost negligible and, especially so, as far as they can be said to affect those major questions which divide seriously and serve to arouse nations one against the other. No merely human institution of today can be as successful in devising a set of international laws which will be in harmony with world conditions as the Middle Ages were in the possession of that true League of Nations, Christianity. It cannot be denied that in the Middle Ages this law was often violated; still it always existed as an ideal, according to which one might judge the acts of nations, and a beacon light calling those who had lost their way back to the safe road.

There exists an institution able to safeguard the sanctity of the law of nations. This institution is a part of every nation; at the same time it is above all nations. She enjoys, too, the highest authority, the fullness of the teaching power of the Apostles. Such an institution is the Church of Christ. She alone is adapted to do this great work, for she is not only divinely commissioned to lead mankind, but moreover, because of her very make-up and the constitution which she possesses, by reason of her age-old traditions and her great prestige, which has not been lessened but has been greatly increased since the close of the War, cannot but succeed in such a venture where others assuredly will fail. (Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922)

Although some who might just have "inside information" about the state of the Church and the world believe that it is "too late," we must nevertheless continue to fulfill Our Lady's Fatima Message in our own lives, keeping close to her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart as we hand out her Green Scapular to as many people as we can, being sure to pray "Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death" for each person. The world is in the state that it is because of the infidelity of men. We can beseech Our Lady to remain faithful to the point of our dying breaths, especially by beseeching her through her Most Holy Rosary and making sure that we offer our daily penances and prayers to her Divine Son's Most Sacred Heart through her own Immaculate Heart. She will keep us safe in the catacombs as we are served by true bishops and true bishops who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the false shepherds in its counterfeit church. She will help us to see the world clearly through the eyes of the true Faith as we exclaim with love the great words that bespeak of our allegiance to her Divine Son, the King of our hearts, the King of the world:

The Longer Version of the Saint Michael the Archangel Prayer, composed by Pope Leo XIII, 1888

O glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil.  Come to the aid of man, whom God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil.  Fight this day the battle of our Lord, together with  the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in heaven.  That cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels.  Behold this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage.  Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the Name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay, and cast into eternal perdition, souls destined for the crown of eternal glory.  That wicked dragon pours out. as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.  These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on Her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck the sheep may be scattered.  Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory.  They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious powers of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude.  Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church.  Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations.  Amen.

Verse: Let us pray.  O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as suppliants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin, immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all other unclean spirits, who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of our souls.

Response:  Amen.
