Coming Soon: The Two-Headed "Pope" Monster

by Thomas A. Droleskey

The hour is late, approaching Midnight, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, the Feast of Saint Gabriel of the Seven Sorrows and the Commemoration of Wednesday in the Second Week of Lent. Last night's poor attempt at satire, although relatively short as articles on this site tend to be, took a long time to write as it is far easier to deliver such material orally than it is to put it into writing, which takes a good deal of time. This article must be very short.

Yesterday's farcical piece, Auditioning To Be The Next Universal Face of Apostasy, was, of course, based on real statements and positions. Perhaps, however, it was less farcical than the daily news out of the Occupy Vatican Movement, which yesterday featured the "decision" made by the retiring universal public face of apostasy, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, as to the title that he will carry in retirement and to the manner of clerical dress he would wear while living as " 'Pope' Emeritus" on the grounds of the Vatican itself:

Pope Benedict XVI will be known as "emeritus pope" in his retirement and will continue to wear a white cassock, the Vatican announced Tuesday, again fueling concerns about potential conflicts arising from having both a reigning and a retired pope.

The pope's title and what he would wear have been a major source of speculation ever since Benedict stunned the world and announced he would resign on Thursday, the first pontiff to do so in 600 years.

The Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Benedict himself had made the decision in consultation with others, settling on "Your Holiness Benedict XVI" and either emeritus pope or emeritus Roman pontiff.

Lombardi said he didn't know why Benedict had decided to drop his other main title: bishop of Rome.

In the two weeks since Benedict's resignation announcement, Vatican officials had suggested that Benedict would likely resume wearing the traditional black garb of a cleric and would use the title "emeritus bishop of Rome" so as to not create confusion with the future pope.

Benedict's decision to call himself emeritus pope and to keep wearing white is sure to fan concern voiced privately by some cardinals about the awkward reality of having two popes, both living within the Vatican walls.

Adding to the concern is that Benedict's trusted secretary, Monsignor Georg Gaenswein, will be serving both pontiffs -- living with Benedict at the monastery inside the Vatican and keeping his day job as prefect of the new pope's household.

Asked about the potential conflicts, Lombardi was defensive, saying the decisions had been clearly reasoned and were likely chosen for the sake of simplicity.

"I believe it was well thought out," he said.

Benedict himself has made clear he is retiring to a lifetime of prayer and meditation "hidden from the world." However, he still will be very present in the tiny Vatican city-state, where his new home is right next door to the Vatican Radio and has a lovely view of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica.

While he will no longer wear his trademark red shoes, Benedict has taken a liking to a pair of hand-crafted brown loafers made for him by artisans in Leon, Mexico, and given to him during his 2012 visit. He will wear those in retirement, Lombardi said. (Vatican says retired Pope Benedict XVI will be called 'emeritus pope'.)

Imagine this, please.

Just imagine the time, energy, effort and thought that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI put into arriving at this decision. He is very conscious of establishing an "innovation," based in the conciliar heresy of "episcopal collegiality" that was reviewed a week ago today in Whittling Away At The Last Catholic Bastions, that he hopes will be a model for all future directors of the counterfeit church of conciliarism to follow. He is establishing a new "tradition."

This just shows once again that Ratzinger/Benedict is very worldly. His personal tastes betray this worldliness as a man who has an attachment to the "finer" things of life to display that he is a "man of the times."

Designer sunglasses.

Designer shoes.

Specially designed baseball caps.

True, members of the "paper" entourage have denied that their boss wears Gucci sunglasses and Prada shoes. They also assert that he knew nothing about the reassignment of a known pederast, "Father" Peter Hullermann, when he was the conciliar "Archbishop" of Cologne, Germany, on January 15, 1980, even though he was at the meeting and personally approved the move.

Ratzinger/Benedict also commissioned, discreetly, you understand his own custom cologne (see Cologne De Soufre).

This is the stuff of personal sanctity, of a man who is going to retreat quietly and live a life of prayer and meditation?

A man of humility would simply retire back to his home country to live in seclusion as monk as he dressed in simple black clerical garb.

Not Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. He wants to establish a "precedent." He was to be known as the man who established the "title" of "Pope Emeritus" as he will be addressed "His Holiness Benedict XVI."

This is truly ironic as Father Joseph Ratzinger expelled himself years ago from the Catholic Faith by virtue of his adhering to, no less writing about and professing publicly throughout his priestly life, one condemned proposition after another, and is not as he was "consecrated" in a sacramentally invalid rite promulgated by yet another heretic and blasphemer, "Blessed" Paul The Sick. Contrary to what Father Cyprian of the monks in Silver City, New Mexico, who are associated with the Society of Saint Pius X contended in a recent Catholic Family News interview that a reader brought to my attention, it does not take "secret knowledge" to know that a man who defects from the Faith in one thing defects from It in Its entirety and expels himself from the Catholic Church, thereby disqualifying him from serving in any of her ecclesiastical offices. All one has to do is to see the evidence presented in Gregorius's The Chair is Still Empty and the list of the summary of the errors of the Society of Saint Pius X provided by Mr. Michael Creighton four years ago now (and which are appended once again at the end of this brief article).

Yes, we are just a short time away from having two conciliar "popes" living behind the Walls of the Vatican. Those Catholics who are still attached to the counterfeit church of conciliarism in the very mistaken notion that it is the Catholic Church will see a conciliar variation of William Jefferson Blythe Clinton's 1992 boast of having "two for the price of one. The Two-Head "Pope" Monster is about to make its debut. What's going to hang on the walls of conciliar churches? Photographs of both "popes"?

Yup, the new Caiphas who will be posing as a "pope" will have to contend his Annas on the grounds of the Vatican. The retired "high priest" and the current "high priest" both wearing white and both being addressed as "Your Holiness," signifying that there can be multiple "popes" just as there is a multiplicity of "bishops" and "cardinals" in the conciliar church. Ratzinger/Benedict wants Catholics to get used to the idea of having two men alive at the same time who can be addressed as "Your Holiness."

This all fits very well with Ratzinger/Benedict's desire to reshape the whole nature of what the conciliar revolutionaries refer to as the "Petrine Ministry," which rejects Papal Primacy as defined by Holy Mother Church. Even the upcoming conclave will reflect this reshaping as its official spokesflack, "Father Thomas Rosica, who is from that hotbed of ultra-progressive conciliar revolutionaries situated in Canada, has told us that he does not believe in Papal Primacy:

Fr. Rosica: “What I think this resignation has done is to take us one step further now about examining the role of the papacy, the collegiality that is necessary for the papacy; that is the pope who works in conjunction with and dialogues with the bishops of the world. The papacy is not some kind of a myth that’s way out there and making this almost a super human role. For example why didn't people get all upset when Archbishop Rowan Williams stepped down after leading brilliantly the Anglican Communion through some turbulent times? He did his work and now to know that Rowan Williams a great theologian a friend of Benedict has gone to Magdalene College to continue research and writing. He did his work, so somehow what Benedict has done to us is put the church in a new trajectory into understanding the role of Peter. The leadership of the papacy requires somebody who can connect with people somebody who has health somebody who can move around and not be afraid of long flights. Somebody who’s got energy and stamina; it’s really a respect for life what he’s done.”

Mansbridge: “Does it also need someone that connects with this generation….that the Church has to move forward into a whole new era?”

Father Rosica: Oh sure…a leader, that figurehead this first among equals in the person of the pope is absolutely essential. He is a symbol. He represents who we are. And so, for the past two papacies especially the last part of John Paul’s papacy and this papacy, we got to know an older man, an elderly person; John Paul certainly dying before our very eyes almost the last ten years and Benedict who came in elderly and who goes out now weak and that’s very important because we respect elders, in our culture we respect elders… (As found on Vox Cantoris, Motumania website.)

Why the surprise out there in Motumania Land? Why the surprise? All of the facts about Ratzinger/Benedict's desire to reshape the nature of the "Petrine Ministry" were related a week ago today in the aforementioned Whittling Away At The Last Catholic Bastions. Did you miss that one by some chance? It's all there.

What is also "all there" for the poor, misguided people in Motumania Land is the fact that the man who will be known to the world as "His Holiness Benedict XVI" in thirty hours, forty minutes from the time these words are being typed does not believe in a world of the following decree of the [First] Vatican Council:

  1. And so,
    • supported by the clear witness of holy scripture, and
    • adhering to the manifest and explicit decrees both of our predecessors
      • the Roman pontiffs and of
      • general councils,
    • we promulgate anew the definition of the ecumenical council of Florence [49] ,
    • which must be believed by all faithful Christians, namely that
      • the apostolic see and the Roman pontiff hold a world-wide primacy, and that
      • the Roman pontiff is the successor of blessed Peter,
        • the prince of the apostles,
        • true vicar of Christ,
        • head of the whole church and
        • father and teacher of all christian people.
      • To him, in blessed Peter, full power has been given by our lord Jesus Christ to
        • tend,
        • rule and govern
        • the universal church.
All this is to be found in the acts of the ecumenical councils and the sacred canons.
  2. Wherefore we teach and declare that,
    • by divine ordinance,
    • the Roman church possesses a pre-eminence of ordinary power over every other church, and that
    • this jurisdictional power of the Roman pontiff is both
      • episcopal and
      • immediate.
    • Both clergy and faithful,
      • of whatever rite and dignity,
      • both singly and collectively,
    • are bound to submit to this power by the duty of hierarchical subordination and true obedience, and this
      • not only in matters concerning faith and morals,
      • but also in those which regard the discipline and government of the church throughout the world.
  3. In this way, by unity with the Roman pontiff in communion and in profession of the same faith , the church of Christ becomes one flock under one supreme shepherd [50] .
  4. This is the teaching of the catholic truth, and no one can depart from it without endangering his faith and salvation. . . .

So, then,

  •

    if anyone says that
    • the Roman pontiff has merely an office of supervision and guidance, and
      • not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the whole church, and this
      • not only in matters of
        • faith and morals, but also in those which concern the
        • discipline and government of the church dispersed throughout the whole world; or that
    • he has only the principal part, but not the absolute fullness, of this supreme power; or that
    • this power of his is not ordinary and immediate both over all and each of the churches and over all and each of the pastors and faithful: let him be anathema. (Vatican Council, July 18, 1870, Session IV, Chapter 3: On the power and character of the primacy of the Roman Pontiff.)
  • And it was to Peter alone that Jesus,
    • after his resurrection,
confided the jurisdiction of supreme pastor and ruler of his whole fold, saying:
    • Feed my lambs, feed my sheep [44] .
  • To this absolutely manifest teaching of the sacred scriptures, as it has always been understood by the catholic church, are clearly opposed the distorted opinions of those who misrepresent the form of government which Christ the lord established in his church and deny that Peter, in preference to the rest of the apostles, taken singly or collectively, was endowed by Christ with a true and proper primacy of jurisdiction.
  • The same may be said of those who assert that this primacy was not conferred immediately and directly on blessed Peter himself, but rather on the church, and that it was through the church that it was transmitted to him in his capacity as her minister.
  • Therefore,
    • if anyone says that
      • blessed Peter the apostle was not appointed by Christ the lord as prince of all the apostles and visible head of the whole church militant; or that
      • it was a primacy of honour only and not one of true and proper jurisdiction that he directly and immediately received from our lord Jesus Christ himself:
let him be anathema. (Vatican Council, July 18, 1870, Session IV, Chapter 1 On the institution of the apostolic primacy in blessed Peter.)

You are "busted," Thomas Rosica. So is Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. So is the entirety of the apostate ethos of conciliarism, including episcopal collegiality and false ecumenism (on the latter point, see a first-ever translation of a condemnation, Ad Quosdam Puseistas Anglicos, issued against false ecumenism issued by the Holy Office of the Inquisition and approved by Pope Pius IX on November 8, 1865: Novus Ordo Watch Exclusive.)

What more is there left to say except to avoid all contact with the Two-Headed "Pope" Monster?

As noted a week ago now, we can never grow accustomed to apostasies that can never become acceptable with the passage of time. We can never grow accustomed to offenses given to God by the conciliar "popes" and their conciliar "bishops." We must never accept them quietly.

We must cleave to the Catholic Church, not to the counterfeit church of conciliarism, as we attempt to plant the seeds for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as we seek to live more and more penitentially, making reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for our own many sins and for those of the whole word.

Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now?

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon.
