As Incoherent As The Founding Itself

Another Kennedy is on the loose again, mouthing off Americanist platitudes about the Faith that come straight from one of the chief propagandists, the late Father Isaac Thomas Hecker, in behalf of the heresy of Americanism, which is the exaltation of the false, naturalistic, religiously indifferentist, anti-Incarnational and semi-Pelagian principles of the American founding as being perfectly compatible with, if not entirely supportive of, the perennial teaching of the Catholic Faith.
The Kennedy mouthing Americanist platitudes this time is Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend, the fifty-eight year-old daughter of the late United States Senator Robert Francis Kennedy (D-NY--and Massachusetts and Virginia, which is really where he lived when he was elected to the United States Senate in 1964) and Ethel Skakel Kennedy. Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend, who served as the lieutenant governor of the State of Maryland from 1995 to 2003 and who failed to win the governorship of that state in the general election of 2002, has written an article in Newsweek magazine in which she contends that the putative president of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, holds views that are more in line with those held by Catholics in this country than does the false "pontiff," Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI
Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend's entire article demonstrates the prophetic nature of the warning given to the longtime Americanist Archbishop of Baltimore, James Cardinal Gibbons, by Pope Leo XIII in Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae, January 22, 1899, concerning the fact that the blithe acceptance of the Americanist spirit would result in a situation wherein most Catholics would come to view Holy Mother Church through the lenses of democracy and majoritarianism and egalitarianism, each of which are the logical result of the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry, rather than viewing the world and everything in it through the eyes of the true Faith:
But, beloved son, in this present matter of which we are speaking, there is even a greater danger and a more manifest opposition to Catholic doctrine and discipline in that opinion of the lovers of novelty, according to which they hold such liberty should be allowed in the Church, that her supervision and watchfulness being in some sense lessened, allowance be granted the faithful, each one to follow out more freely the leading of his own mind and the trend of his own proper activity. They are of opinion that such liberty has its counterpart in the newly given civil freedom which is now the right and the foundation of almost every secular state.
In the apostolic letters concerning the constitution of states, addressed by us to the bishops of the whole Church, we discussed this point at length; and there set forth the difference existing between the Church, which is a divine society, and all other social human organizations which depend simply on free will and choice of men.
Holy Mother Church is the repository of the Deposit of Faith, which consists of Sacred Scripture and Sacred (or Apostolic) Tradition, that was entrusted to her exclusively by her Divine Founder and Invisible Head, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the very Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity made Man in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost, for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication. As Pope Leo XIII, cited a decree of the [First] Vatican Council, emphasized this point in Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae:
The underlying principle of these new opinions is that, in order to more easily attract those who differ from her, the Church should shape her teachings more in accord with the spirit of the age and relax some of her ancient severity and make some concessions to new opinions. Many think that these concessions should be made not only in regard to ways of living, but even in regard to doctrines which belong to the deposit of the faith. They contend that it would be opportune, in order to gain those who differ from us, to omit certain points of her teaching which are of lesser importance, and to tone down the meaning which the Church has always attached to them. It does not need many words, beloved son, to prove the falsity of these ideas if the nature and origin of the doctrine which the Church proposes are recalled to mind. The Vatican Council says concerning this point: "For the doctrine of faith which God has revealed has not been proposed, like a philosophical invention to be perfected by human ingenuity, but has been delivered as a divine deposit to the Spouse of Christ to be faithfully kept and infallibly declared. Hence that meaning of the sacred dogmas is perpetually to be retained which our Holy Mother, the Church, has once declared, nor is that meaning ever to be departed from under the pretense or pretext of a deeper comprehension of them." -Constitutio de Fide Catholica, Chapter iv.
In other words, of course, the supernatural truths revealed by God in the Order of Grace (Redemption) are, like the truths of the Natural Law and the truths of the physical order that exist in the Order of Creation (Nature), immutable. Supernatural and natural truths are incapable of change as their Author, God Himself, Who is a "majority" of One, if you will, is immutable. He is beyond any shadow of change or alteration. His rational creatures, namely, human beings, have a positive obligation to obey the precepts contained in the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law that have been entrusted to Holy Mother Church and to recognize that they, contingent beings who did not create themselves and whose bodies are destined one day for the corruption of the grave under the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead on the Last Day, are not the arbiters of dogmatic truths or of moral right and moral wrong.
As a child of Americanism who is a particular inheritor of the legacy of Cushing's Children and as a child whose family profited handsomely from the conciliar revolution, Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend understands none of this. She believes that the "Church" must "listen" to the "people" on matters of Faith and Morals, oblivious to the simple truth that human beings must be completely and humbly and docilely submissive to Holy Mother Church in all that pertains to the good of their souls, upon which is premised the entirety of social order.
These three paragraphs from Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend's Newsweek article demonstrate how she, like so many other Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, is bereft of any true understanding of the Catholic Faith:
In 1979, Sister Theresa Kane, the head of the Sisters of Mercy and the president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, greeted Pope John Paul II on his first visit to the United States by proposing that the Church provide "for the possibility of women as persons being included in all ministries of our Church," including the priesthood. This was greeted with revulsion at the Vatican, which insists that the only people who can represent God in the priestly role are those with male sex organs.
Yet polls bear out that American Catholics do not want to be told by the Vatican how to think. Despite the rhetoric of love and truth, the Vatican shows disdain (if not disgust) toward gays. But 54 percent of American Catholics find gay relationships to be morally acceptable, according to a 2009 Gallup poll. Meanwhile, against all scientific evidence and protestations from clergy on the ground, the pope claims that condoms aggravate the spread of AIDS. Seventy-nine percent of American Catholics disagree, according to a 2007 poll by Catholics for Choice.
When Sen. John Kerry, a pro-choice Catholic, ran for president in 2004, several bishops decided to deny him communion. A poll done at the time by Time magazine showed that 73 percent of American Catholics disagreed with that decision, and 83 percent said the bishops' move wouldn't change their vote. In fact, more than two thirds said the church shouldn't try to influence the way Catholics vote at all or tell candidates—even Catholic ones—what stance to take. Leaving aside Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend's identification of the conciliar Vatican with the Catholic Church, her assertion that "Catholics do not want to be told by the conciliar Vatican how to think" is of the essence of the rotten fruit of the Protestant Revolution against the Social Reign of Christ the King and the subsequent rise and institutionalization of Judeo-Masonry, which, of course, contends that human beings can organize themselves absent any reference to the Deposit of Faith and that they can be virtuous on their own without belief in, access to or cooperation with Sanctifying Grace. Most Catholics in the United States of America, including many who assist at true offerings of Holy Mass at the hands of true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism or its false shepherds at all, are possessed of this Masonic spirit, believing that it is possible for there to be social order and world peace absent a conversion of men and their nations to the Catholic Faith, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order. These false beliefs served as important building blocks of Modernism and thus of the counterfeit church of conciliarism's "reconciliation" with the errors of religious liberty and separation of Church and State.
For Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend to be correct, however, Our Blessed Lord and Savour Jesus Christ Himself would have had to be wrong when He proclaimed the truth without regard to how it would be received by His hearers: Indeed, He predicted that we would be as hated as He was if we remained faithful to His teaching no matter the consequences insofar as popularity or human respect are concerned:
If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you. If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. (John 15: 18-20.)
Our Lord was rejected by most of the people who had followed Him after He preached His Eucharistic Discourse, explaining that He is the true Manna come down from Heaven to feed us with His own very Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in Holy Communion:
I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.
For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever. These things he said, teaching in the synagogue, in Capharnaum.
Many therefore of his disciples, hearing it, said: This saying is hard, and who can hear it? But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you? If then you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I have spoken to you, are spirit and life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who he was, that would betray him. (John 6: 51-65)
Should Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God in the very Flesh, have changed this teaching, Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend, because it was not "received" well by those who had seen Him perform the miracle of multiplying the loaves and the fishes, those who found His words to be too "hard" to accept? In like manner, of course, Holy Mother Church must be faithful to Him no matter how many of her children will wander away and find the teaching entrusted to her by Him "hard" to accept because they do not want to give up their sins and/or because they believe that they know better than God Himself.
The rich young man who asked Our Lord what he must do to obtain eternal life went away sad when he was told all that he would have to give up to do so:
And behold one came and said to him: Good master, what good shall I do that I may have life everlasting? Who said to him: Why asketh thou me concerning good? One is good, God. But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He said to him: Which? And Jesus said: Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness. Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith to him: All these I have kept from my youth, what is yet wanting to me?
Jesus saith to him: If thou wilt be perfect, go sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come follow me. And when the young man had heard this word, he went away sad: for he had great possessions. Then Jesus said to his disciples: Amen, I say to you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you: It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. And when they had heard this, the disciples wondered very much, saying: Who then can be saved? (Matthew 19: 16-25)
Should Our Lord have "tailored" His answer so that the rich young man would not have walked away sad, Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend? Did Our Lord lack "compassion" for having told the rich young man to sell all of his possessions and then give what he had to the poor?
Obviously, Mrs. Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend is unaware of the fact that her false beliefs concerning how Catholics have learned how "think" for themselves without being "told" how to "think" by the "Vatican" is so eerily similar to how the crowd, motivated in large measure by the effects of our own sins having transcended time, cried out for the release of Barabbas, an insurrectionist who was promising the "people" political salvation from the cruel oppression imposed by the Roman occupiers of the Holy Land at the point of the sword, as they called for the Crucifixion of their Saviour, to Whom they refused to submit themselves and Whose teaching they found so "hard" to accept:
And he had then a notorious prisoner, that was called Barabbas. They therefore being gathered together, Pilate said: Whom will you that I release to you, Barabbas, or Jesus that is called Christ? For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. And as he was sitting in the place of judgment, his wife sent to him, saying: Have thou nothing to do with that just man; for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. But the chief priests and ancients persuaded the people, that they should ask Barabbas, and make Jesus away.
And the governor answering, said to them: Whether will you of the two to be released unto you? But they said, Barabbas. Pilate saith to them: What shall I do then with Jesus that is called Christ? They say all: Let him be crucified. The governor said to them: Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying: Let him be crucified. And Pilate seeing that he prevailed nothing, but that rather a tumult was made; taking water washed his hands before the people, saying: I am innocent of the blood of this just man; look you to it. 25 And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.
Then he released to them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him unto them to be crucified.(Matthew 27: 16-26.)
The crowd cried out for Barabbas on Good Friday and demanded the Crucifixion of God Himself. The crowd cries out for Barabbas today as Catholics and non-Catholics alike reject the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law so as to live in accord with the same lie by which the devil convinced Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, that she would be like unto God knowing all things if only she did so, the lie that Eve then passed on to her husband, Adam, thereby rupturing the relationship between God and man, closing tight the Gates of Heaven, disrupting and disordering the whole of nature itself, placing human beings in enmity with each other just as they had been placed in enmity with God.
The New Adam, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, became a man, a male of the species, in the Virginal and Immaculate Womb of the New Eve, Our Lady, so that He could cancel out the debt of Adam's sin on the wood of the Holy Cross as He offered Himself up to His Co-Eternal and Co-Equal Father in Spirit and in Truth. The Sacrifice of the Cross offered by Our Lord in atonement for our sins, each of which wounded Our Lord once in time and wounds His Mystical Body on earth, the Church Militant, today, is re-presented in an unbloody manner by true bishops and true priests in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which is, of course, a propiatory offering for human sins.
It was to perpetuate the Sacrifice of the Cross in an unbloody manner until the end of time that Our Lord instituted the Holy Priesthood at the Last Supper. He chose the twelve Apostles to join Him at that Last Supper, ordaining them to the fullness of the Holy Priesthood of the New and Eternal Covenant that He instituted at that Last Supper and consummated on the wood of the Holy Cross when He died and as Blood and Water, the very sacramental element s of the Church, flowed out of His Wounded Side when It was pierced by the lance of Saint Longinus, the Roman centurion.
The twelve Apostles, each of whom represented one of the twelve tribes of Israel, were chosen through no merits of their own. One of the first bishops, Judas Iscariot, betrayed Our Lord. The first pope, Saint Peter, was to deny Him three times. All but one of the others, Saint John the Evangelist, ran away from Him during His Passion and Death as they hid in fright. Nonetheless, however, these weak vessels of clay were chosen to be the instruments by which Our Lord would make Himself truly present sacramentally under the appearances of bread and wine in the Most Holy Eucharist, which was also instituted in the Upper Room in Jerusalem during the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday.
Males were chosen because men are progenitors in the Order of Creation (Nature). They are progenitors in the Order of Redemption (Grace) as they make present God Himself under the Eucharist species and administer the other Sacraments that have been entrusted by Our Lord to His Mystical Bride, Holy Mother Church. As Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen noted many times, if anyone was worthy to say "Hoc Est Enim Corpus Meam" and "Hic Est Enim Calix Sanguinis Mei Novi et Aeterni Testamenti: Mysterium Fidei: Qui Pro Vobis et Pro Multis Effendentur in Remissionem Peccatorum" it was Our Lady, the spotless and immaculate Mother of God Who enfleshed Him in her Virginal and Immaculate Womb at the Annunciation by the power of God the Holy Ghost. She, however, was not present at the Last Supper. There are different roles for men and women in the Order of Creation (Nature). There are different roles for men and women in the Order of Redemption (Grace) as males, the progenitors, serve as the very hands of Christ the Divine Redeemer, the Chief Priest and Victim of every Mass, in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Mrs. Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend sees the Holy Priesthood through the lens of Americanism, considering it a matter of "civil rights" for women to be "ordained" to the priesthood. It is nothing of the sort. Moreover, ultra-progressive revolutionaries in the counterfeit church of conciliarism contend blasphemously that Our Lord only had males at the Last Supper as He was "constrained" by the "cultural proscriptions" against women that existed under the Mosaic Law. Such a specious, blasphemous contention must be made absent a recognition that Our Lord, as God Himself, knew exactly what He was doing at all times, including at the Last Supper, and such a specious, blasphemous contention must ignore the fact that Our Lord broke many Pharisaical norms (plucking grain and performing miracles on the Sabbath), including associating with women during His Public Ministry. Those who would assert that Our Lord was "constrained" by the Mosaic Law and/or by a lack of recognition as to Who He was are blasphemers of the first order.
Lost upon Mrs. Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend and many other Catholics attached as of yet to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism is the reality that while the lords of the counterfeit church have upheld some of the articles contained in the Deposit of Faith (as Pope Leo XIII noted in Satis Cognitum, June 29, 1896, the heretics of yore "did not certainly reject all Catholic doctrine: they abandoned only a certain portion of it") they have at the same time done much to undermine such things as the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church concerning "women priests and other fantasies" (yes, Father Miceli, I pray for your soul every day!). The conciliar revolutionaries have permitted women to enter into the preserve of the sanctuary to serve as "lectors: and "leaders of song" and as extraordinary ministers" of what purports to be the Most Holy Eucharist. Women are permitted to be leaders of "priestless" "Communion services." And, quite significantly, women are permitted to serve at the altar in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, vitiating the simple truth that those who serve at the altar are extensions of the hands of the priest, who is a male in the pattern of Christ the High Priest of the New and Eternal Covenant.
There is, as will be elaborated shortly, quite a bit of "common ground" between the likes of Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend the the false pontiff, Ratzinger/Benedict, than they realize.
Similarly, Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend's belief that the Catholic Church is "hostile" to those who are steeped in unrepentant perverse sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments is founded in a refusal to accept the simple fact that no one who is steeped, objectively speaking, in any Mortal Sin knows what it is to "love" Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as He has revealed Himself through His true Church. Our Lord has great compassion for us erring sinners. His compassion for us erring sinners was demonstrated when He refused to condemned Saint Mary Magdalene after she was caught in the sin of adultery. He understands our weaknesses. He has pity on us. He is willing to forgive us IF we have a true spirit of contrition for our sins and IF we are resolved to make a firm purpose of amendment to quit our sins once and for all, to despise each and every single one of them as we seek to make reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for them. Our Lord never reaffirmed anyone in their sins.
Indeed, true Charity wills the good of others, the ultimate expression of which is the salvation of their immortal souls. We love no one authentically if we do or say anything, whether by commission or omission, that reaffirms that person in a life of unrepentant Moral Sin. Moreover, we prove ourselves to be enemies of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen if we seek to promote grievous sins under cover of the civil law as "human rights" and to promote them in every aspect of popular culture.
Moral truths are are immutable as supernatural truths. And while it is possible to know moral truth from reason alone unaided by the light of Divine Revelation, the whole of the moral law has been entrusted to Holy Mother Church for its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication so that men will have a sure guide as to what is right and what is wrong and how to apply the principles of true morality in the concrete circumstances of life. Pope Pius XI explained this in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929:
It is worthy of note how a layman, an excellent writer and at the same time a profound and conscientious thinker, has been able to understand well and express exactly this fundamental Catholic doctrine:
The Church does not say that morality belongs purely, in the sense of exclusively, to her; but that it belongs wholly to her. She has never maintained that outside her fold and apart from her teaching, man cannot arrive at any moral truth; she has on the contrary more than once condemned this opinion because it has appeared under more forms than one. She does however say, has said, and will ever say, that because of her institution by Jesus Christ, because of the Holy Ghost sent her in His name by the Father, she alone possesses what she has had immediately from God and can never lose, the whole of moral truth, omnem veritatem, in which all individual moral truths are included, as well those which man may learn by the help of reason, as those which form part of revelation or which may be deduced from it.
For Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend to be correct about those steeped in unrepentant, perverse sins against nature, God Himself would have had to have been wrong when He sent fire and brimstone to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Saint Paul the Apostle would have had to have been wrong when he wrote the following under the direct inspiration of God the Holy Ghost in his Epistle to the Romans:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of those men that detain the truth of God in injustice: Because that which is known of God is manifest in them. For God hath manifested it unto them. For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; his eternal power also, and divinity: so that they are inexcusable.
Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened. For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them. (Romans 1: 18-32.)
Writing in Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930, Pope Pius XI made it clear that the civil government has no authority from God to grant recognition to those who "concoct new species of unions," an admonition that applies to those steeped in illicit relationships that are opposed to nature just as much as it does to those who are steeped in natural vice:
Armed with these principles, some men go so far as to concoct new species of unions, suited, as they say, to the present temper of men and the times, which various new forms of matrimony they presume to label "temporary," "experimental," and "companionate." These offer all the indulgence of matrimony and its rights without, however, the indissoluble bond, and without offspring, unless later the parties alter their cohabitation into a matrimony in the full sense of the law.
Indeed there are some who desire and insist that these practices be legitimatized by the law or, at least, excused by their general acceptance among the people. They do not seem even to suspect that these proposals partake of nothing of the modern "culture" in which they glory so much, but are simply hateful abominations which beyond all question reduce our truly cultured nations to the barbarous standards of savage peoples.(Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930.)
Thus, I want to stipulate once again, especially for those who are not regular readers of this site or who are not aware of the hundreds of articles that I have written denouncing the likes of the Kennedys and the Ferraros and the Cuomos and the Patakis and the Bidens and Giulianis and Schwarzeneggers and Ridges and Lazios and other Catholic turncoats in public life, we must examine everything in life exclusively--and I mean exclusively--through the eyes of the Catholic Faith. Once again, Pope Saint Pius X pointed this out in no uncertain terms in Singulari Quadam, September 24, 1912:
These are fundamental principles: No matter what the Christian does, even in the realm of temporal goods, he cannot ignore the supernatural good. Rather, according to the dictates of Christian philosophy, he must order all things to the ultimate end, namely, the Highest Good. All his actions, insofar as they are morally either good or bad (that is to say, whether they agree or disagree with the natural and divine law), are subject to the judgment and judicial office of the Church.
Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. The rejection of this truth by the likes of Americanists, such as Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend and the entirely Kennedy clan, and by the likes of conciliarists, starting with Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI himself, places people are who are adversaries on some matters of Faith and Morals in perfect agreement with each concerning the fundamental false presuppositions of the modern civil state. Catholics such as Mrs. Kennedy-Townsend reject Catholicism as the sole foundation of personal and social order as a result of inheriting the legacy of Americanism that is nothing other than an adaptation of the spirit of Protestantism and Judeo-Masonry condemned by Pope Leo XIII in Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae. Ratzinger/Benedict and the lords of the false church by claiming that dogmatic truth is so complex and so varied in his aspects that the human being can never grasp or express it adequately, requiring alterations to be made from time to time according to the dictates of the dogmatically condemned and philosophically absurd "hermeneutic of continuity and discontinuity."
A very perceptive comment about the absurd foundation of modern thought concerning the deconstruction of dogmatic and moral truth was made by a viewer of one of my YouTube lectures:
Your point about stability of truth is exactly the crisis of our time. As you said, if Pius X was wrong, what makes anyone think Benedict XVI is correct? The 'evolution' of dogma---mutating from one meaning to another--- makes 'truth' shatter almost immediately, become passe' almost as soon as it is spoken.
Although they arrive at an acceptance of religious liberty, which was called a "monstrous right" by Pope Pius VI in 1794 and as a heresy by Pope Pius VII in 1814 and as "insanity" by Pope Gregory XVI in 1832 and "injurious babbling" by Pope Pius IX in 1864 (see Ratzinger's War Against Catholicism),and the falsehood of the separation of Church and State, a thesis called "absolutely false" by Pope Saint Pius X in Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906, the likes of Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend and Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who has himself committed, objectively speaking, one Mortal Sin after another by violating grievously the First Commandment as he has esteemed the symbols of false religions with his own priestly hands and lauded places of false worship as "sacred" and as valid means of glorifying the true God, are in complete agreement that it is possible for men of divergent beliefs to pursue the common temporal good without recognizing the true religion and without attempting to pursue that common temporal good in light of man's Last End, the possession of the glory of the Beatific Vision of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for all eternity.
As Monsignor Henri Delassus pointed out, Americanism was meant of its nature to "speak to the universe," Behold the false universe to which the counterfeit church of conciliarism has sought to curry favor as it relies upon the false principles of Americanism as the foundation of social order and international peace:
American Catholicism" is not, in the thought of is promoters, a way of thinking and of practicing Catholicism solely in the contingent and changing things that would be common to the United States, in accordance with the particular conditions that are found on American soil. If this had been so, we would not have believed it incumbent upon us to be concerned with it.
No, their pretension is to speak to the entire universe: "The ear of the world is open to our thinking, if we know what to say to them," Msgr. [Bishop of Richmond, John] Keane had written to the Congress of Brussels. And in fact they are speaking, and their word has not been without echo upon each part of France. If, at least, they had not put into the ear of the world anything other than what the Church leaves to our free discussion; but, no, as we shall see, we shall come to understand that their words are more or less imposed upon that which belongs to the very fundamentals of the Catholic faith.
The Abbot Klein had said in the preface he gave to The Life of Fr. Hecker: "His [Fr. Hecker's] unique and original work is to have shown the profound harmonies joining the new state of the human spirit to the true Christianity." "The American ideas that he recommended are, he knew, those which GOD wanted all civilized people of our time to be at home with ..."
"The times are solemn," Msgr. Ireland had said, in his discourse, The Church and the Age. "At such an epoch of history ... the desire to know is intense ... The ambition of the spirit, fired up by the marvelous success in every field of human knowledge ... The human heart lets itself go to the strangest ideals ... Something new! Such is the ordered word of humanity, and to renew all things is its firm resolution.
"The moment is opportune for men of talent and character among the children of the Church of God. A once Catholic university, named in honor of the Mother of God herself, bestowing an honorary doctorate upon a man who believes in the mystical dismemberment of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of innocent preborn children under cover of the civil law?

Catholics serving in public life who believe that their Faith can have no effective influence in the decisions they make as executives, legislators or judges?
"The greatest of victories in the greatest of historical ages"?
Catholics believing that there is something short of Catholicism that can serve as the foundation of personal and social order?

A "pope" calling a "mosque" a "jewel" that stands out "on the earth" and as a "sacred" place and who prays as a Jew without once mentioning the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?

Only those who believe that Catholicism is not the one and only foundation and who believe that God is pleased with false religions and false worship can claim that Americanism has led to "the greatest of victories in the greatest of historical ages"?
The falsehoods of Americanism have created a gigantic stage whereby one farce after another is perpetrated upon the American people in the name of effecting "change" and "solving" problems are caused remotely by Original Sin and proximately by our own Actual Sins and thus can be ameliorated only by our own daily conversion away from sin as we strive to scale the heights of personal sanctity as members of the Catholic Church who are consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. The great Apostle of the American West, Father Pierre Jean De Smet, S.J., commented on this farce during presidential election of 1872 between the incumbent, Ulysses Simpson Grant, and his Democratic Party challenger, publisher Horace Greeley:
To a disinterested observer, the campaign is amusing. The whole city is decorated, either for Greeley or Grant. Every night bands of music march through the streets with banners, followed by thousands shouting to wake the dead and burning an enormous amount of fireworks, It is unbearable, yet one gets accustomed to it. The world must go on in its own way, and after all there is no harm in working for either Greeley or Grant; one is as good as the other. You say that in Europe you wonder which will be victorious. The individual majority favor Greeley, but Grant's party has the money, which is used unstintingly to assure his reelection. You can count upon his victory as assured; and once in it will be difficult to get him out of the White House. Grant is a Methodist, a man of no particular merit, the tool and the humble servant of the radical party--just as William of Prussia is the took of Bismarck." What has changed in the past one hundred thirty-seven years? Just the logical, natural degeneration of a nation founded on an incoherent set of principles that deny the Sovereign and Sacred Rights of Christ the King, a nation that has produced two sets of organized crime families dedicated to the premises of naturalism whose leaders differ with each other only on the margins of various issues, not on the basic false, naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist and semi-Pelagian principles themselves. We have gone from the covert statism and network of torture built by former Vice President Richard N. Cheney to the overt statism of President Barack Hussein Obama. Yes, one is as "good"--or as "bad"--as the others. And thus it must ever be in a nation founded on false premises, a nation whose Catholics are, at least for the most part, convinced that one religion as "good as another" and that it is up to the "people" to decide matters of Faith and Morals, that truth does indeed change over time.
Despite their differences, you see, there is a great deal that unites Americanists such as Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend and aged conciliar revolutionaries such as Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, which is why we must seek to flee from all association with the conciliar revolution and those who promote it.
Tomorrow is the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It is no accident that Our Lady of Mount Carmel appeared, crowned as Queen of Heaven and earth with the Child Jesus near her Immaculate Heart, to Lucia dos Santos during the Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917. Our Lady gave the garment of the Brown Scapular to Saint Simon Stock to be our shield against the onslaughts of the devil in the year 1251 just as she had given her Most Holy Rosary, whose recitation she promoted so fervently in her Fatima apparitions, to Saint Dominic de Guzman in the year 1208.
Our Lady's Fatima Message is, therefore, the message for our times. How can we not see this, especially since the errors of Russia are on full display in American politics and government and in the halls of the counterfeit church of conciliarism itself? We must pray and fast and make sacrifices for the restoration of a true pope on the Throne of Saint Peter so that we there can be the collegial consecration of Russia with all of the world's bishops that Our Lady requested of Sister Lucia dos Santos in 1929. Our Lady's Fatima Message is the key to the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King and the inauguration of the Reign of Mary.
In the meantime, of course, we must lift high the Cross as we give the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all of our the merit we might earn each day as a result of prayers and sufferings and sacrifices and humiliations and misunderstandings and mortifications and penances and almsgiving through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother, praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit. The only true "movement" is the movement of a soul away from sin and in the direction of Heaven, a "movement" that permits nations themselves to acknowledge Christ as King and to honor His Most Blessed Mother with public Rosary Processions conducted with the full support of the leaders of the civil government.
Saint Henry the Emperor sought to advance the cause of peace among nations by promoting the spread of Catholicism into those parts of Central and Eastern Europe that were in need of conversion. He, my very own Confirmation patron saint, teaches us that there is no substitute for Catholicism as the foundation of personal and social order.
May we imitate Saint Henry's fidelity to Our Lord and Our Lady as we keep her company at the foot of her Divine Son's Most Holy Cross in the daily offering of the Mass of the ages in the Catholic catacombs. The seeds that we plant might just help to bring about, God willing and Our Lady, interceding, the day on which all men in all nations will exclaim:
Viva Cristo Rey! Vivat Christus Rex!
Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
Saint Joseph, pray for us.
Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.
Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.
Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.
Saint Henry the Emperor, pray for us.
