On the Commemorated Feast of Saint Catharine of Siena, T.O.P.

Today’s article is a slight revision and republication of a very brief and wholly inadequate reflection on the life of the great mystic, stigmatist and spiritual directress of souls, Saint Catherine of Siena, T.O.P., whose feast day is the day after that of the Protomartyr of the Order of Preachers, Saint Peter of Verona (Saint Peter Martyr).

Saint Catherine was calumniated during her life, and she was blamed for having precipitated the Great Western Schism by convincing Pope Gregory XI to return to return to Rome in 1378. She suffered all such calumny with joy.

What’s our excuse for grumbling and/or murmuring about our crosses and the state of chaos in which we live in this time of apostasy and betrayal?

Remember, everything thing that happens to us has been ordained by the hand of God Himself with exquisite perfection. Saint Catherine of Siena never lost an opportunity to suffer well. Indeed, she begged to suffer more and more for love of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. So should we.

I am working on the next original commentary, although it might take a few more days for me to cover all the aspects involved in its subject matter. Thank you for your patience. (An original commentary was published two days ago: There Will Come A Day When Vincenzo Paglia Will Argue in Favor of "Accompanying" Women Right into the Hands of Baby Butchers.)

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Catherine of Siena, T.O.P., pray for us.

Although the plandemicists have retreated somewhat from public view, we are still suffering the effects of their well-orchestrated psychological operation to alter reality and get large numbers of people worldwide to accept a false narrative as being true while concomitantly doing

On the Feast of Our Good Saint Anne, the Mother of the Mother of God

Today, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, is the Feast of our Good Saint Anne, the mother of the Mother of God and the grandmother of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This is a very brief reflection in honor of Saint Anne.

The newest original commentary on this site, Be Not Deceived: The Real Jorge Mario Bergoglio Is Not A Defender of a Faith He Does Not Hold, was published yesterday, Monday, July 25, 2022, the Feast of Saint James the Greater and the Commemoration of Saint Christopher. The next original commentary is being written, although it may take the better part of this week to complete it. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Good Saint Anne, Mother of the Mother of God, pray for us.

Jorge "Claps Back" at Salvatore Cordileone and Stands Up for Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi and Her Pro-Abort Ilk

Jorge Mario Bergoglio has wasted no time in firing back at "Archbishop" Salvatore Cordileone's banning of Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi from the reception of what purports to be "Holy Communion" at the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical abomination because of her unapologetically militant stance in support of the slicing and dicing of innocent human beings within their mothers' wombs. Bergoglio's elevation of Robert McElroy to the conciliar "college of cardinals" is a clear signal that he, Bergoglio, supports those who support giving "Holy Commuion" to pro-abort, pro-sodomite Catholic officials, whether elected or appointed, in public life.

This is a short commentary, which was written after work on what was intended to be the next original article for this site was interrupted when I learned the news about McElroy's elevation within the concilar sect while looking a secular news flash on my celluarl phone. That other commentary should appear no later than Wednesday, June 1, 2022, as I will reserve tomorrow, May 31, 2022, for my republished reflection on the Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Today, apart from being Memorial Day here in the United States of America, is the sixty-third anniversary of my First Communion, which was made at Saint Aloysius Church in Great Neck, New York. It was a bright, sunny day and many of us were smiling ear as we processed back to Saint Aloysius School on Breuer Avenue: We had received God Himself for the first time! What indescribable joy! What initmacy with Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who purchased us at the matchless cost of shedding every single drop of His Most Precious Blood during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday! Oh, how we must beg Our Lord to have that same fervor each time we receive Our Lord in Holy Communion as he had at our own First Holy Communion.

Please pray for all my fellow First Communicants, living and deceased, and for the priests and consecrated religious, the Reverend Sisters of Mercy, who prepared us for that glorious day sixty-three years ago this day.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Pope Saint Felix I, pray for us.

Saint Ferdinand III, King of Leon and Castile, pray for us.

Saint Joan of Arc, pray for us.

Republished: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Jorge Mario Bergoglio Is the Biggest Fool of Them All

Although I am very much mindful that this is Holy Week, this republished commentary from last year is very apropos for this week of weeks in which Our Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, wrought our salvation for us during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday as it deals with Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s repeated disparagement of Our Lady as the Co-Redemptrix of the human race.

Indeed, this commentary is very appropriate for Holy Week as it includes the following passage from Father Francis X. Weninger’s First Sermon for Good Friday speaks to the point of doctrine Bergoglio called “foolishness” on December 12, 2019, very directly:

As it seemed good to the Lord to place a helpmate by the side of the earthly Adam, so we behold at the side of Jesus, the heavenly Adam, Mary, the Eve of the New Law; that, as by the fall of the first Adam and Eve the whole human race was plunged into an abyss of woe, so through the second — Jesus and Mary — rescued man was led to hope for heaven.

It is true that, in the abstract, it was the merits of Christ alone which effected our redemption, yet, that its fruits might be imparted to man individually, Jesus was pleased to place by his side a mother — Mary — for the consolation and assistance of the human race.

Therefore, God filled her heart with the most fervent affection for us, who have been born in sin, ensnared by numberless temptations, walking in the path to heaven, it may be, but in constant danger of going astray, and persecuted by the enemies of our salvation who rejoice when we make but one false step, hoping thereby that we will become their prey forever. Mary's heart is filled with the most unspeakable compassion for us; and no mother, of her own natural inclination, so fondly loves a child, so tenderly cares for its welfare, so untiringly watches over it in every danger, as does Mary in regard to the children of men; especially if they have had the happiness of receiving baptism as members of the Holy Catholic Church. "Come ye all to me, and be filled with my fruits." Thus does Holy Church cry out to those who zealously walk under her protection and patronage in the way of perfection, the path which leads to the joys of heaven. (Father Francis X. Weninger, S.J., Original, Short and Practical Sermons for Every Feast of the Liturgical Year: Three Sermons for Every Feast, published originally by C. J. H. Lowen, Cincinnati, Ohio, 1882, pp. 279-287.)

This commentary is divided into the following parts:

  1. An Overview of Bergoglio’s Blasphemy
  2. The Theology of Redemptive Suffering is Excluded by Denying Our Lady as the Co-Redemptrix
  3. The Meaning of Our Lady as Co-Redemptrix
  4. Father Francis X. Weninger, S.J. On the Infallibility of Papal Teaching
  5. Summary
  6. An Act of Reparation
  7. Appendix: Father Francis Weninger’s First Sermon for Good Friday

The material from Father Francis X. Weninger's book on papal infallibility is absolutely priceless. Consider this one excerpt:

In compliance with an ordinance from the Pope, the holy Doctor forbade the troublesome Jovinians the Episcopal city of Milan.

In a funeral oration on his brother Satyrus, he [Saint Ambrose] eulogized the zeal of the deceased in the cause of the Roman Church, and alluded, with undisguised satisfaction, to his custom of inquiring from all, whom he chanced to meet, whether they were in communion with the See of Peter. If Satyrus discovered that they had failed in this respect, he rebuked them, because he considered that thereby they had cut themselves loose from the communion of the whole Church.

In his forty-seventh sermon, the Saint advanced the principle: “Where Peter is, there is the Church.” “Ubi Petrus, ibi ecclesia.” If this axiom is once admitted, it is plain that Peter and his successors, when acting as vicars of Christ, can never err in doctrinal decisions. If they could, the Church herself would be in error. But this supposition destroys the very idea of the church. Therefore, according to St. Ambrose, Peter and his successors can never lapse into error(Father Francis X. Weninger, S.J., On The Apostolical and Infallible Authority of the Pope When Teaching the Faithful, and On His Relation to a General Council, Third Edition. New York: Sadlier and Company, 1890; Cincinnati, Ohio: John P. Walsh, 1890.)

Truth is simple, which is why I rue the fact that it took me until 2006 to see it but am nevertheless grateful for the fact that I was led to the truth, which demands our adherence no matter what criticism will come our way and remembering, as always, that seeing it makes us not one whit better than anyone else nor does it guarantee us final perseverance in a state of Sanctifying Grace. We must always cling to Our Lady as we rreat all others as we would treat her Divine Son in the very flesh.

There will be another republished article tomorrow. (The need for non-tax-deductible donations remains. Thank you.)

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Revised and Expanded: Sin: More Dangerous Than the Coronavirus, part nine

[Late-afternoon update on January 4, 2020, the Octave Day of the Feast of the Holy Innocents]: This commentary has been revised and expanded.

Included in the revised commentary is the following passage, and I urge those who access this site to watch the videos linked therein:

The whole “pandemic” narrative is based on outright lies and the deliberate inflation of the numbers, which are then fed into the flawed modeling programs upon which the lockdown state has managed to curb legitimate personal liberties while throwing many people who do not possess the true Faith into bouts of depression from the loneliness and isolation their home imprisonment has caused them.

The situation is far more monstrous than all this, however, as Erin Olszewski, a registered nurse who traveled from Florida in early 2020 to work at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, Queens, New York, has provided hidden camera evidence of the fact that physicians are deliberately putting non-infect patients on ventilators and telling the nurses to go out with their program and to not to give Zinc or hydroxycloroquine upon the orders of a monster named Andrew Mark Cuomo. Those who did not check into Elmhurst Hospital with the Wuhan/China/Chinese/Covid-19/Coronavirus died after acquiring there. This is a plot to inflate the numbers and to kill off innocent human beings. Anyone who does not see this is a fool.

Here is a link to a twenty-three minute video produced by Del Bigtree, the producer of Vaxxed, highlighting Miss Olszewski's documentation: Erin Olszewski interviewed by Del Bigtree. This video, though, is based upon another interview concerning Erin Olszewski's hidden camera work inside of Elmhurst Hospital, Journeyman Pictures Interview with Erin Olszewski, and an hour-long documentary, Frontline Nurse Turns Into Investigative Journalist. Please watch these videos and pray that Our Lord will have mercy on us all!]

There is a lot of information in this new commentary, which is long.

However, it is my hope that a few readers who access this site will read the commentary at some point in the next few days as the never-ending farce of naturalism reaches new fever pitches over a result that is a foregone conclusion and was known in the immediate aftermath of an election theft of epic proportions in November. Then again, the entire modern civil state is based on the theft of true sovereignty over men and their nations from Christ the King, and such a theft winds up producing totalitarianism eventually. We simply happen to be alive to see this with our own eyes.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

The Holy Innocents, pray for us.

Transfigured in All Glory on Mount Thabor

Today is the great Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Mount Thabor in the presence of the Apostles Peter, James and John and in the company of Moses and Elias. God the Father repeated the proclamation that He had made as His Co-Equal Son made Flesh in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb was baptized by His cousin, Saint John the Baptist in the Jordan River prior to the assumption of His Public Ministry, "This is My beloved Son, hear yet Him."

Our Lord was transfigured in the glory that He shared with the God the Father and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity in Heaven in order to show forth His Sacred Divinity to Saints Peter, the first Pope, Saint James, the first Bishop of Jerusalem and the first of the Apostles to be martyred, and Saint James's brother, Saint John, the beloved Apostle and the Apostle of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, to help console them during the events of His Passion and Death. It is our goal to be transfigured in glory for all eternity in Heaven.

The only path to the heavenly Mount Thabor, however, is by climbing atop Mount Calvary every day of our lives, willingly bearing our crosses in reparation for our sins and those of the world as we offer whatever merit we gain for the patient and joyful endurance of these crosses to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Indeed, our climb to Heaven by ascending first to Mount Calvary is signified every day a true bishop or a true priest completes the prayers at the foot of the altar and ascends the three steps (mystically symbolic of the Thee Persons of the Most Blessed Trinity and of the three stages of the interior life) to the altar itself.

If we desire to be transfigured in all glory in Heaven we must, therefore, be willing to be shamed and humiliated by the the ignominy associated with the Holy Cross. The glories of Heaven are worth such temporary shame and humiliation and ignominy, are they not?

May Our Lady, who awaits us in the heavenly Mount Thabor and intercedes for us from there, help us to ascend to Mount Calvary every day in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass so that we can keep her company at the foot of the Cross every day our lives as a a preparation for spending all eternity in the glories of Heaven with her and Saint Joseph and all of the angels and the saints.

A blessed Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to you all.

Although I made very, very good progress on the next article, I was called away early last evening to get some medication for a few persistent ailments, and duty to the family compels me to spend most of this feast day running errands. There is not very much more work to do on the commentary, which runs a little over thirty pages as of this posting, but, unlike even as late as four or five years ago, it is very difficult to work into the overnight hours. I expect to finish the work remaining and then format for posting on Wednesday. Thank you for your patience.

Jorge Speaks With The Wicked, Blasphemous Tongue of False Spirits

Although there is absolutely nothing new in anything Jorge Mario Bergoglio says and does at this point, there are times when it is useful to remind readers of the simple fact that this putative “pope,” who defected from the Faith early in his childhood and adolescent years, does not h

As Advent Begins In 2016

An original commentary, "Jorge Can't Keep Track of His Own Heresies!", was posted shortly after Midnight this morning.

This is a revised Advent reflection. Another such reflection will follow shortly, and it will then be time to write my commentary on two Latin American revolutionaries, Fidel and Jorge.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Sylvester the Abbot, pray for us.

Saint Peter of Alexandria, pray for us.

This is just a brief update to inform you that I will be writing a little more regularly than has been the case in the past two months because of what turned out to be an abbreviated return to college teaching.

Yes, I ran afoul of the thought police and the "nice" police and the "spin control" police.

Although I am not going to write about this for the moment until receiving formal notification of what is a fait accompli as my name has been flushed down the institution's Orwellian "memory hole," suffice it to say that everything that is wrong about higher non-education, including demands for complete adherence to institutional narratives under the aegis of "professional responsiblity," is even more pronounced now than at any time in the past. Secular institutions have become true "churches" that demand complete adherence to garbage "mission statements" as complete freedom is given to promote evil in the name of "diversity" while demands for "neutrality" are made of those who oppose the public promotion and glorification of that which caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross and that caused those Swords of Sorrow to be plunged through and through the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother, namely, sin. Those who are not willing to play the role of Pontius Pilate by remaining "neutral" about matters of Faith and Morals must be shown the door.

Look, I knew the difficulties that I might encounter going back into the classroom. However, I am glad that I did so as I met some fine young students who will remain in my prayers even though I am no longer their professor. What matters is not one's physical presence in the lives of others but the prayers and sacrifices that are offered in their behalves as all is given freely and with joy to the the Throne of the Most Blessed Trinity through the Sorrowful and Imamculate Heart of Mary.

Viva Cristo Rey!

Viva La Virgen de Guadalupe!

The next article on this site should appear later today or tomorrow. Although I was totally consumed with grading midterm examinations for one set of classes last week before giving and grading final examinations in a class that ended six days ago now, I did pay attention to the madness of the now-concluded "synod," and I am glad that I was unable to write about it on a daily basis as the outcome was so predictable. Indeed, even what was thoght to be a "victory" by the "conservative" "bishops" turns out to be no "victory" at all, not that it was in the first place, of course. Trying to "save" doctrine in the counterfeit church of conciliarism is somewhat akin to seeking to "save" "doctrine," such as it is, in the Anglican sect. There is no saving a false religion, and conciliarism is just that, a false religion.

Well, that is all until the next article, which, as always, will focus on the larger picture rather than the minutiae of the daily news. Heresy is heresy, and the "Second" Vatican Council put the Sacred Deposit of Faith on the "table" for "debate," simply paving the way for what culminated in Rome three days ago now with the "beatification" of Paolo Sicko.

Gee, maybe this is a short commentary in and of itself?

Nah, I will develop this more later today.

Thanks for your patience, well, thanks to the small numbers of those who still check this site now and again for your patience, that is.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
